Had an amazing night here with my family. Big shout out to gaz our server. Definitely recommend it nice relaxing atmosphere really tasty food.ribs and brisket excellent

Read the reviews and thought yeah man let's have some of that ........ but honestly everything was just a disappointment. We were greeted by a friendly fellow who looked liked he had just smoked a massive reefer ,but friendly nonetheless .First impressions of the place was it needs a good clean ,it just felt grubby . We sat down to what can only be described as cheap patio furniture, we were then givens menus etc and our drinks order was taken . It's not a massive menu so was surprised to hear that certain things were not available ,this was also true regarding some of the drinks . Perhaps it was the time of day but there was absolutely zero atmosphere . When our food arrived not only was the majority of it cold the ribs we ordered were covered in sauce even after we requested them to be dry but hey ho ! I was so so looking forward to eating here but can honestly say I wouldn't go again

Chose the venue as we were looking for somewhere different for my sons 20th birthday. So my self and sister my son and parents both 79 attended. Have to say my parents weren't looking forward to it . Ordered the 5 meat platter for all 5 of us to share at £40. 2 x brisket 2 x ribs 1 turkey The brisket was the star of the show and ordered an extra portion as between 5 not enough. We all commented that the extra portion was as large as the 2 portions we had originally ordered. At the end the staff presented my son with a free desert for his birthday but no candles 😕 A very nice gesture. At the end my parents said they really enjoyed and would go again. Drinks reasonable price .

Restaurant has just opened its doors on a very chilly November evening, wish the place was a bit warmer but the food was delish. Service was excellent even with reduced staff. I had a half rack of ribs with stick texan sauce, fries and coleslaw. Will definitely go again. Reasonably priced, parking available in Dean Clough (free after 6pm). Excellent quality. Thank you.

The food was amazing, service was very good and overall great value for money. The pulled pork was to die for!! Will definitely be going again soon!

Hadn’t been to babajackds before, but wanted to try it. A little gem of a place tucked away in Dean Clough. Good beer and amazing food! Highly recommend it.

Really impressed with the food, we had a right feed between us. It was really tasty and the staff were lovely. I would highly recommend this place, I can’t wait to go back.

Tried Babajaks out this evening. Walking in feels like an American style canteen. Decor is kind of grunge style and the music is very much 1930’s to 1950’s cowboy film style. But I liked this uniqueness. Agree with a previous reviewer that the menus and oil cloths are a bit sticky. The chairs felt a bit sticky too and were quite uncomfortable. Service was attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Staff were receptive to constructive feedback which is a massive plus. Ribs were mega delicious 😋; fries were tasty (covered in paprika I think), hot and crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside. However they had been seasoned with way too much salt for our tastes. The brisket was moist, soft but seemed to lack a flavoursome smoke ring and “bark”. It tasted similar to pastrami. Again it was very salty. Pulled pork was nice but served cold/tepid which let it down a bit and it was salty. Burned ends were nice ….covered in black pepper which gave a nice warmth. Pit Beans were lovely (could taste lime and chilli flavour) as was the slaw. The sausage left a lot to be desired. It tasted like the brisket but the texture wasn’t very meaty ….it was spicy though. We ordered the four dips and none of them were particularly hot but they did all have their own distinctive taste. We would have given 4* if the meal was less salty and the pork was hot and maybe the menus and tables hadn’t been sticky. Would be happy to try again if the seasoning can be tempered as the portions were generous and the staff very pleasant.

The food was very tasty and at a reasonable price. My only little issue was the food could have been hotter, however this might be a personal thing. The food was in abundance and tasted as good as the pictures. Will be definitely be going back again.

Food was tasty and very tender however they ran out of Ribs, I ordered a bottle of malbec to share with my wife which was taken from a cold cellar and opened and placed on the table, not even a slight attempt to bring it upto serving temperature. The drinks menu's were all coated in BBQ sauce and dips and were very sticky and not nice to have on the table,let alone pick up and browse. The drinks were all fairly priced and the portions were very generous. It was great to go and try but I doubt I would be returning too soon.

Great little place. Not too big, not to small which made a nice atmosphere. Staff were great, friendly and attentive. Wish we could have tipped more but no one had any cash. Food was great! Everything was moist and fell apart just like it should! I smoke meats myself on a weekly basis but I haven’t started doing beef yet so I wanted to see what this place is like. The food certainly didn’t disappoint. I even enjoyed the potato salad. I got the 1-2 sharing platter and only managed half of it! My eyes were defiantly bigger than my belly (which is quite surprising)! The choice of drinks and the dips were not my cup of tea but that’s just my pallet so I can’t grumble at them. Just wish there had been one regular bbq sauce. The only reason I have knocked 1 star off is due to them running out of ribs. To me that’s a massive deal since it’s a Texan bbq place! I was so looking forward to them and one person in our party only wanted the ribs so she was heartbroken lol. But on a serious note, should this type of establishment be running out of ribs on a Saturday night? If this hadn’t have happened I would have given them full marks.

I visited Babajaks with my family after hearing everyone in Halifax talking about it & seeing social media blow up with positive reviews shortly after the opening . I have to say that I wasn’t disappointed!! The staff are extremely professional, the service was excellent and the food was a ten out of ten 🍖 🥩. I would highly recommend Babajaks & will definitely be returning with my family & friends in the future. Keep up the great work Babajaks ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First time here after hearing raving reviews from friends & family...Boy I was not disappointed! Food was great, buzzing atmosphere and the staff were brilliant. Would highly recommend and I will be back!

Went when it first opened and it was OK 😬, but me and my girlfriend went before the New Order concert at the Piece Hall and the place has transformed. All the staff and especially Chef Rowan couldn’t do enough for us. Changes and additions to the menu are great and we were told that new items will be added weekly. That’ll keep us coming back for more. Great work, a must visit if you’re about 🤠

Absolutly amazing food from the brisket to the pulled pork mouth watering turkey to the pit beans well worth a visit or take away or even the tacos you will not be disappointed

Came for lunch here and shared a platter and the flavours on all the items was gorgeous. I would definitely recommend getting the babajaks pit tray to sample every type of food that they offer as i will definitely be back for the brisket
