I ordered chapli kebab for takeaway when I collected and 15 minutes later I opens my kebab to eat ,was disaster smell of cardboard because they choose to serve in wrong packaging and oil&burned meat and I saw 3 big pieces of chapli kebab but too dark as it was look like burned /or fry in burned oil The taste was the taste of damp card board , some bitterness and extremely hut by using too much pepper in their recipes I could not eat it and was not good experience and I do not recommend it at all

A very bad service was had with no service for 30 mins and had to be called! Then another 30 mins before the food came: already a massive disappointment had brewed before any sight of food! I had a fish gosht full of oil which was not needed or could have been drained by the 'lazy' chef! That oily mess cost £10! The other karai gosht also cost £10. So picture a little karahi each with these two in; not very pleasant. The only positive was a massive Afghani nan! Oh and did I say there was no social distancing available whatsoever and only one worker in the whole establishment wore a mask-that was it! The place was packed full of patrons but that scared the hell out of me; as it could have been a massive vector for Covid-19, as everyone was packed like sardines, like all the competition; it is pack them in, give third rate food and expose to potential Covid-19 and ignore any government guidelines!

As much as I want to recommend this place I can not due to the service. The food was decent enough but make sure you have at least 3 hours to spare before you come here as the staff will serve you when they want. It took 30 mins just for the chips to come which we had ordered for the children. In the end some of our stuff did not come at all and after 3 hours we just ate what came, paid our bill and escaped back in to the real world where time does not go by in slow motion.

Service is poor and crap food take more than. 1 hours and take 1 hour to even sit down on the table bad staff bad food bad management bad everything never recommend never eat here

Good food with nice sitting also good for big families. Prices are also very reasonable. Parking is bit tricky there but it's worth it. I would definitely recommend it.

Went to the restaurant on recommendation of a friend for their famous "Namak Mandi Karahi". We ordered Half Lamb Karahi as well as Half Chicken Karahi. The portions were good, enough for 3-4 people to share. Food was fresh and tasty and g value for money but customer service was average as once seated no one asked for any drinks or starters etc. Once food was served no one came to ask if we needed anything else.

The lamb karahi is really quite incredible. Hidden gem of a restaurant; outstanding value for what it is

Shame this place use to be good. Visited Hounslow one today and its seriously gone down hill. Mixed grill was bland. Naan was cold. Worst than the food was the non existent service. Owner busy on his phone. Waiter too busy chatting to his mate. Had to get up twice to ask for water. For the owner if you are going to mark half the items missing on the menu it's not that expensive to print a new menu. Avoid this place if you want poor service and bland food

Went to the restaurant by chance as we were walking by. Ordered Kabuli and Chapli kebab. The portions are huge. Enough for 2-3 people to share each. Food was fresh and tasty. Excellent value for money. What let’s this restaurant down is the customer service. Once seated the food was served however no one came to ask if we needed anything else. The waiter was preoccupied and not bothered to serve. We asked for the bill and rather than being presented with a bill for us to check and pay, we were informed of the amount and then directed to the till to pay. Upon closer examination I realised that we had been charged extra £2 for a salad which was served with the kebabs. Quite disappointing as I wouldn’t have mind paying but it would be nice if we were informed of the extra charge.

We ordered a full mixed grill and a chicken kahrai which were both very delicious and fresh, came out steaming hot and was presented very well. The customer service was also great. Khan Baba’s service was excellent, he was very nice and attentive. Overall this place has great food and great service. Good job.

This place has never disappointed us the food is amazing and reasonably priced. The charsi lamb karahi and charsi chicken karahi are to go for. The bbq is amazing aswell.

Food is okay but service is really bad. You will have to call and ask for everything even if they are not so busy. They don’t really look after hygiene as such which I have noticed. Will not be going back.

As family of 5 with 3kids we ordered food nothing was available for kids apart from chips from next door and the chips had hair in it, they asked us for salad and they charge salad 3.99 it’s ripping the customer and a nan is 2.99, so awkward when they served us without knife and napkins

Okay my comment here will be mostly based upon their Afghani Pilaow as this is by far the BEST BEST Afghani Pilaow I have found in the whole of London. The overall food is alright. But the quality of their Afghani Pilaow is by far the best I have come across. The meat is extremely tender (always) and not dark in colour, easily comes off and well well cooked to the core. The rice and the mewaas are softly cooked, no smell and the rice are always fresh and long. I am a regular visitor of Taste of Pakistan as well and Kebabish original Southall. Both their Afghani Pilaow are not as soft and well cooked as Baab-e- khayber's. Their Karahais are alright, but not exceptional. The owner of the restaurant is mostly present in the shop himself and is a soft spoken man. Never had any issues. Their naans are not as big as Taste of Pakistan, Hounslow, hence if three people are going to dine in, you will have to order at least two naans.

Plumped for a local restaurant this time around and fancied Afghan cuisine. The peshawari kebab (3 large pieces chapli) is the signature dish. This wasn't bad. Ordered a selection of dishes to go with this, mixed grill, sizzling paneer, chicken tikka masala, saag, lamb chops along side garlic naan and rice. Mixed grill was good but tikka masala too creamy, paneer and and saag not tasty. Other dishes decent. It's a nice place but we had to wait over 35 minutes for food and we had to wait extra time to get naan. Rice did not come till right at the end. The management need to work on little things like this. On the plus side good lassi and the place was warm.

Amazing Chapli Kebab one of the best places I've been too, I even take this for my family who are live 5 hours away.

Chapli kebab was not good even the karahi gosht was boild meat over priced rude staff they want you to pay £108 in cash after we insist they bring the card machine not recommended.

I have been a lifelong fan of Chapli Kebab and keep looking around for nice chapli Kebab.

Food was normal.you can't get what you pay.they are trying to present food as Peshaweri but .....feels like just a label.

Real surprise, great quality food at great prices. Had the grilled chicken, a lamb curry, a bhindi curry and a large nan bread that hangs on a really cool stand so you can rip chunks off. Pleasantly stuffed!

The food is very bland even if you ask for it hot. The food is so bad that you cannot taste it and its not even spicy this restaurant definitely a no no lacks great food and extremely bad customer service.

Este típico Restaurante Asiático" afgana" se encuentra en una calle concurrida de avery Hounslow Central. Es difícil encontrar un espacio de aparcamiento especialmente antes de las 7 pm. Fuimos allí por recomendación de un amigo de la familia y no nos decepcionó con la comida. Pedimos su especial Karahi kebab, cordero chapali y Arroz de Kabul. Toda la comida era fresca, lleno de sabores y buen sabor. Su vino dulce naan colgada en un stand que era fresco y muy sabroso.

So on a friend's recommendation I went to Bab e Khyber but what a disappointment! Their food was swimming in oil and absolutely bland. Chapali kebabs were passable, service was good..please check the pictures and make your mind! I'm never going again.. 😕

Very nice food a little to oily but the portions are huge and the chappal kebabs are excellent. Service is quick but the waiters seem a little grumpy due to the lack of English. Good food great price.

Comida muy sabrosa y un buen servicio. Fuimos un grupo y tuvimos un tiempo estupendo. Tenía el Cordero Karai, Chapli kebab, chuletas de cordero y naan. Chuletas de cordero y chapli kebab eran los mejores que he tenido! Ya tengo ganas de volver.

Si eres un fanático de la comida/peshawari afgana, este lugar es el mejor en Hounslow. pedir cualquier cosa del menú, la comida se caliente, fresca y deliciosa. Mi favorito personal es balochi seekh Kebab de pollo, saji y chuletas de cordero, que se sirve con ensalada y salsa roja y verde. a un precio razonable, y el lugar es limpio.

Great food, ordered Chapli kebabs and some huge naans, together with mango lassi and nihaari & Afghan pilau rice - good value, reasonably quick to serve (although depends on how busy it gets) and there's a public car park at the back off the main road. The ambience of the restaurant is OK, but the food is really good and a bit different from your run-of-the-mill usuals....we've been there a few times now, definitely one to schedule into your food diary !

Biryani was good and the portion was generous. Chicken Karahi was not so good, it was half cooked and didn't have any flavour of karahi other than just tomatoes.

we usually go there for the chapli/peshawri kebabs... they are one of the best i have had anywhere out of Pakistan. one protion is good for 2 people. best eaten fresh with tandoori naan! their karhai is also good but not so consistent in taste. over all an all time fav!

Food was average, service was ok but the waiter and other staff kept rushing everything. We were only at the table for 2 mins when the staff came to take our order and said we need to take your order now I'm case it gets busy. It never got busy...

I was pleasantly surprised with the taste of food. Their seekh kebab, mutton chops and green mint chatni (sauce) are must try.

Enjoyed their chappal kebabs - which are massive and lamb chops as starters! Also had a lamb karahi as my main and this didn't disappoint! Love the massive naan bread you get with it too. Authentic afghan food for you. Only down side to the place is that it's not the most slightly of places, staff can be a tad complacent and cleanliness could be a little better. Would come back though

Went to this restaurant on recommendation of someone. It was an unpleasant experience from indoor hot and smoky environment, bad service and to food quality. They pretend their recipes are afghani but That is false. Meat is of poor quality and smelly and every dish is in tons of oil. If you like to waste your money then this the place to visit otherwise stay away from this place.

Unfortunately the food took 50mins to come. The table next to us left. The experience was poor. The service was poor. I'm pretty certain I or my family will not be visiting again.

It takes some time for the food to come however that is due to it being made fresh it tastes so good, the daal and kebabs chicken bbq everything the naans are placed on this metal skewer and the size is enormous and it does not go stale like other naans

This is best restaurant of pakistani taste ,we had karhai ,chappal kebab and pulao.All of them were fresh and good size portions. Taste was as good as you would expect in Pakistan.If you are looking for proper karhai on bones and proper Pakistani meal taste go here.

During my last London trip I visited my childhood friend who has settled down in London. As his wife was away, we decided to have food outside and this place was suggested by him. Conveniently located in high street of Hounslow , the restaurant was easy to find out. When we entered the place , the place was doing brisk business with a mainly Asian crowd. The place looked more like Delhi restaurants. We ordered pulao, naan and chicken. Each item was amazing in taste. The naan was very big in size may the biggest I have ever seen. The chicken was sizzling and it was a delight. I would definitely recommend this place.
