Visited for the first time on a Tuesday evening as a family of 4. We booked a couple of hours in advance, unsure of what we all wanted to eat and managed to get a table. Drink selection was wonderful, and the menu had plenty of choice including a vegan menu for one diner. We had vegetable spring rolls, Thai fish cakes, tofu and prawn toast to start and then chow mein, sweet and sour chicken and beef fried rice including sides. The Thai food was outstanding as was the service! We were pleased to hear they also do take out and we will definitely be visiting again.

Sitting in the restaurant now and had the best Thai meal I've ever had. Mixed starters and Thai prawn crackers absolutely delicious. Party of three, I had an amazing panang chicken curry, another had sweet and sour chicken and the third had drunken noodles. All three meals were outstanding and the side of salt and pepper chips were absolutely delicious. We were at another Thai restaurant a couple of miles from here on Sunday evening and it is not a patch on this one The two young female waitresses were very attentive and did a sterling job. A must try experience.

We ate here on Saturday night after Bengal Brasserie said they had no record of my booked & confirmed table reservation. Lovely lady / manager happily sorted us a table for 2 upstairs in the busy restaurant. Menus brought and a lovely petit chablis ordered. The mixed platter starter for 2 is delicious and great value at £14.95. Mains of a prawn penang curry and drunken noodles with chicken, a side of egg fried rice was a perfect balance. Quite spicey if you like a bit of chilli. Bill was just under £70 so good value too. We have eaten here a few times and always a lovely atmosphere. Note - they only open until 9.30pm so not a late one.

Exceptionally good. Fresh produce all cooked to perfection. We enjoyed every dish presented. It’s only small but the atmosphere, service and staff make it feel just right. It’s a real find and I hate to share how good it is to avoid it becoming too busy but the again it deserves recognition and recommendation.

First visit for our anniversary meal. 1st class food and service, great value for money, couldn't find fault and will be back very soon.

Me and my partner went this evening after seeing alot of positive reviews online but unfortunately for us it was very average. We went for the Thai time meal deal between 17.00 - 18.30. It was very quiet with only a couple of people in. The atmosphere was VERY quiet. Felt like we had to whisper to have a conversation. The waitress who served us did not want to be there at all and a very cba attitude. One thing that stood out for us was charging £7.95 for a 660ml Singa beer. Absolutely disgraceful. You can go to Morrisons and get 4 for the price of 3 for the same price. A 330ml was £4.55. Definitely over charging! My partner went for a Double JD & Coke and it was pretty much neat JD - He wasn’t complaining! For starters I went for the Chicken Satay which was very hot and it was quite nice. My partner went for the Thai Dumplings which tasted like they were bought in frozen and a very weird texture. For mains I went for the Chicken Massamam Curry which was okay but not alot of chicken and my partner went for the Sweet n Sour Chicken and said the sauce was okay but the vegetables needed to be cooked longer. It just wasn’t what we expected and left feeling very disappointed. Atmosphere might be different on a weekend but we definitely won’t be rushing back anytime soon.

Use this restaurant at least once a week, the food never lets you down, we have loved Thai food for over 30 yrs or more, and this place is consistenly good, the take away is actually better than Suko Thai.

This is advertised as a cafe and downstairs it certainly felt like one, with no ambience or atmosphere. We'd booked ahead, but walk ins were being shown into different rooms, which may have felt better. We had staff passing close by to get to some sort of station behind us. The food was very tasty indeed, but rather overpriced for what it was. Nice food, just not somewhere to linger or feel you're having a special night out.

We have visited Baanrai multiple times now and it is simply the best restaurant in Wetherby and if you like Thai food then probably one of the best in the UK. Everything is just consistently great and the whole meal experience just brilliant.

Quality of food is absolutely outstanding. 2 x visits in January ‘23 and loved the whole experience. Service of the highest standard and lucky to have this venue in my home town. Great work from the whole team @ Baanrai Thai Wetherby

I’ve visited many Thai restaurants over the years and this one is now my favourite, the food was absolutely amazing, the staff were very polite and knowledgeable about the menu and recommended a beautiful crispy duck dish. Overall a fantastic dining experience, would highly recommend visiting this restaurant.

We were visiting Wetherby for an event at the racecourse and went looking for an evening meal. We stumbled across this restaurant and thought we would give it a go. We were not disappointed! The chicken satay starters were fab and so was the yellow green curry and pad thai. The most amazing chips ever!! We enjoyed it so much we went back the next evening with friends!

Called in here as a table of 2 on a bank holiday Sunday and was welcomed to a table. The cafe had a few other tables eating upstairs and seemed busy with take aways. The service was efficient and food arrived very promptly. Starters were tasty and then the red and green curries were very good - we also had a portion of the hand cut salt and pepper chips - wow they were soo good! Would definitely recommend and would call there again - many thanks Baanrai!

We have enjoyed a takeaway recently but nice to visit and dine in. We liked the updated menu and decor since Yum Yum Thai. The lunchtime menu offers great choice and good value. We opted for starters of salt and pepper chicken and tempura king...
