Always excellent service and very tasty , authentic food. Good value for money. We go there a few times every year and it's always a great experience. I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

Lovely little restaurant, very friendly staff, food was great and reasonably priced. We would definitely go again when visiting Peacehaven.

I went tonight with a friend for a catch up and a meal, and what a lovely meal it was. The food, service and ambiance definitely 5 ⭐️. I had vegetable spring rolls with sweet chilli sauce for starters and Beef stir fry with Fragrant rice for my main meal, so delicious. There’s a deal on a Monday and Tuesday night which is a starter and a main meal for £12 great price. If you’re in peacehaven it’s well worth a visit, I’ll definitely be going back.

Booked in advance to be sure of a table. Had a great dinner with really friendly, attentive service from the team of two. Had the yellow curry which was excellent - enough kick to know it’s a Thai curry but not so much to blow your head off. Highly recommended.

My first visit with a group of friends. Can't fault it. Service, food, atmosphere great. Dishes were a delight, full of flavour, delicious. Most certainly will return.

Warm welcome special 2 course menu on Tuesday only £12. (April 2024) house wine reasonably priced £16.50. Bottle. Owner takes order and serves tables. As well as answering phone for takeaway orders. Food is simple choice selection with good size portions. Access to venue is unsuitable for wheelchairs or people with limited movement. The restaurant is also accessed by stairs.

Thought for years that Baan Sai was just a takeaway restaurant. Saw a comment on Facebook about it also being dine in so thought we'd give it a try. WOW! Wasn't disappointed. Lovely food served on hot plates, a warm and comfy place to eat with somewhere to hang your coat. Friendly and attentive staff and super value for money. Bus stop just outside. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed 😀

Didn't know until recently that this was dine in as well as take away. Decided on a visit to catch up with family. Great food selection, well cooked and served on warmed plates. Restaurant is clean, warm and comfy and it's possible to hold a conversation. Nice to have somewhere to hang out coats without having them on the back of our seats. Friendly and attentive staff. We had a lovely evening and it didn't break the bank. Bus stop just outside so didn't need to take the car. Will certainly be recommending it to our friends and will most definitely be back. We have been to this restaurant several times before Never any cause for complaint but sadly this visit was disappointing 6 adults We all had the mixed starters deal Unfortunately the quality was not up to the usual standard All the items tasted the same very oily appeared to have been cooked in the same pan The mains were better but I had the mixed seafood stir fry sadly the mussels had not opened during cooking which casts doubt on quality of the product The other mains were good and the quantity was perfect The sides were excellent as well Then we received the bill we were surprised at the total cost For six adults the bill came to £ 180.00 Rather more than expected considering the quality of the food Shame really as befor we have used this restaurant many times before

Beautiful food. We had dumplings and wings to start with, the flavour was incredible. We then had a Thai green curry, stir fried beef and rice everything was cooked to perfection and all of the flavours complimented each other. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was great, it was quiet being midweek. Will definitely be back soon.

It was cold inside so not very nice to sit and eat like that. Food was average. Staff friendly.

Customer service was good but the dishes were not its a shame as I wanted to eat somewhere local and we love Thai food but green curry was like water no taste like boiled chicken in a creamy water and the rice was just pieces of cooked egg in rice and the noodles had no flavour with some peanut on top I hate to talk about local businesses but when you pay money and get this… I thought this would of been better than Thai elephant but seem to be same bracket hopefully they will take this as constructive criticism and improve but I would not return

We are so so lucky to have this gem of a restaurant right on our doorstep. It takes us 3 minutes to walk home. The owners and their staff are so friendly and accommodating and the food is very good. They will always help by spicing up your food if required or if they can sort out another dish that’s maybe not on the menu. The choice of food is very good and drinks and food costs are very reasonable. Please give it a try and I’m sure you will not be disappointed. We visit regularly and have never left disappointed or underwhelmed. A true find.

The 2 course set is definitely worth the price. My child loved the prawn toast very much. The Pad Thai reminded me of my trip to Thailand, though it could taste a bit stronger. Would like the Tom yum soup better if it was spicier, but that depends on one’s spice tolerance. Definitely will go again for other dishes.

The waiter was brilliant. The food was highly spiced, and definitely not the Thai food I know. I nearly chocked on the heat from spice of prawn soup, which the waiter asked the chef to listen. He did by mixing coconut milk and mushrooms. It then taxed of watered down mushrooms. The green prawn curry again was extremely spicy and very very thin. They seemed to have several prom lens the night we went. I understand but will not be going back .

I went in for a quick bite takeaway, the lovely member of staff helped me decide, and explained all the meals and ingredients of my order, upon getting home it was so good I went back for a second night, I just had to try her other suggestion. On the wall are many accolades from the restraunt food awards, well deserved.

Fabulous Thai - we were walk ins on a rainy Monday night- we were welcomed warmly by the owner - the food was AMAZING- and even had hot plates to complement our meals- cannot recommend more highly- the best Thai in Peacehaven- a must! And reasonably priced!!

Lovely little place we visited whilst in Peacehaven for the weekend. Welcome was nice, food delicious and very reasonably priced, shame we’re not locals.

We have eaten here many times and never left disappointed. The good is fresh, healthy, beautifully presented and very tasty. Staff are kind, helpful and friendly. For me this is the best eatery in Peacehaven.

We’ve been to little restaurant before and our most recent visit didn’t disappoint. First of all, the waitress / owner whoever she was gave us a lovely warm welcome and showed us to our table. Food was very good, wholesome and nicely presented. Very tasty too. I loved the Pad Thai. Prices were very reasonable; in fact ours was cheap. We went for the very reasonable priced option which I believe is restricted to Mondays and Tuesdays or a seasonal offer only. A point to note - on seeing this eatery from the roadside, you can be forgiven for thinking it is just a takeaway, as the frontage is small and not overly attractive. But be assured, behind that facade lies a spotlessly clean and inviting little restaurant. Thank you, Bandai!

Underrated Thai restaurant as don't hear people suggest as a recommendation. Food is authentic and really impressed, will be back soon

We have been coming to Baan Sai for a couple of years now, the food is fantastic and very competitively priced. We put a phone order in and it is usually ready to collect in as little 15 minutes. Highly recommended, lovely family run restaurant take away and eat in.

Best Thai food we’ve had in a long time. I had the yellow chicken curry and my wife had the vegetarian green curry. Plentiful portions with perfect amount of spice. We took ours to go and ate on the park benches across the street

Fantastic first experience of this gem-of-a-takeaway/restaurant in Peacehaven. I had chicken pad krapow, coconut rice and satay chicken on skewers. The food was hot, fresh and tasted so authenticly Thai - wonderful meal! Friendly service too! All in all, a brilliant place to either eat in or take out. I will definitely be returning!! Would recommend to everyone

We are not exactly spoilt for choice in the area for nice places to eat but the Baan Sai is one of them. Excellent menu and food, informal atmosphere and excellent customer service, the staff are always friendly and attentive. One of my favourite places to eat.

We have previously had takeaways from here and had no problems. However we ordered Satay chicken, wings with chilli and lemongrass, chicken Pad Thai and Red Duck Curry. The satay came with a tiny amount of satay sauce, not even enough for the 4 skewers. The wings didn't really have any taste. The mains were, quite honestly, awful. The curry had no spice and almost no flavour. It was way too watery and diluted and riddled with bits of fat. The Pad Thai had a strange taste and was one of the worst pad thais we have eaten. Unfortunately, the majority of the dinner went in the bin. Definitely will not be returning.

My son and daughter-in-law took me here for my birthday yesterday. Lovely variety of food and friendly staff. I know it's been here for a while but never thought of trying. It's SO worth it and no dearer than local Chinese or Indian restaurants. They do take-away as well. Definitely be back.

we were recommended this restaurant by a taxi driver. The sarter was hors d'oevres which were quite nice. Unfortunately from there on it was a disaster. the dishes hsd no texture over cooked poorley seasoned. the worst thai food I have ever had the misfortune to try to eat.. It closed for a while then re-opened so maybe they have rectified the problem. When we were there it seemed to have regular customers coming in so maybe they like it. In fairness give it a try . You can confirm either way for others.

Good menu, food was very good. Will go again when in the neighbourhood.

We ate from the normal menu tonight ant it was absolutely delicious as usual....Will be booking for my birthday in November with a larger party xx

Delicious food (prawn cake was lush, aubergine/beancurd/mushroom in spicy caramel sauce was gorgeous and vegetable pad thai spot on), lovely team running the restaurant, very clean, decent pricing, good portion size. Will definitely return and will also use their take away service.
