Ba Fu Restaurant in Thanet

Starters good. Never have the soup ax tasteless even with loads of salt and pepper. Duck was ok. Mains tasteless and special fried rice had 2 shrimps and a few bits of ham. Napkins demaned when desert was brought to the table. We have been going here for about 7 years but at £107 for 4 will think carefully before going back

AVOID a Friday night, packed in like sardines, tables next to toilets never a good thing!!!!!, taking in walk ins when already packed, NOT impressed, rude staff, demanding plates before we had finished, some dishes were cold, won't be visiting again, very salty and that's not just the food, not worth £24 wen 6 people get toddler portions

Ordered from this place and wish I didn’t now everything had no flavour to it egg fried rice - more like soggy cold rice Chips were soggy and burnt And shredded beef very horrible no flavour or anything to it and chew main well very cold and soggy And top all off my boy and partner been sick after eating this If I was u order eles where

Had a takeaway delivered at possibly the busiest time of year,so fully understand it being late.The meal was full of flavour,in fact some of my meal had additional flavours.The crispy chilli beef had essence of fish.Iam not sure how this Heston Blumenthal magic took place but Iam quite sure are be feeling the effects within the next few hours.If you’ve got no teeth your find the sweet and sour chicken balls a must order item.They literally melt in your mouth like a sponge.In fact I’ll wager they were boiled not fried because these unfortunately had little of no taste of fish.Please give this pioneering taste fusing creative gurus a chance.And as Chris Evans used to say”don’t forget your bog brush”.

abserlutely awaful. i am ashamed to have this as a chinese resturant in my area. my asian friend would be dissapointed. i ordered my food i had a 2 hour delay and then when it say my chips were soggy and minimal flaver despite being SALT & PEPPER chips they had 0 salt and pepper. my chicken had gone soggy and no longer crispy and again it was SALT N PEPPER chicken AND LACKED FLAVER. I WAS LOOKING FORWARDS TO A GOOD CHINESE I WAS ON FT TO MY MATE TELLING HER ALL ABT IT AND NO IT RUINED MY NIGHT I WILL NEVER EVER ORDER AGAIN. the staff texted me tho she was polite. extra star for the prawn crackers they were good there was alot. they were crunchy. but anyway the ribs were leng and the rice wasnt eggy enouth but the ribs slapped so hard but im giving it a extra star for that too. goobye.

Got a takeaway on collection to try a new Chinese restaurant. Do not feel this meal will make me change from my regular Chinese. Food was over cooked and bland in flavour. I was very disappointed with my meal and do not think we will be returning.

Awful place. Staff rude and surely and also asked young children their ages without asking permission from the adults. Food passable but the quite disgusting service and attitude made sure not only we won't be back but will do everything possible to discourage others. At 4pm on a Sunday afternoon and normal business would be delighted to get a party of 7 who spent well but not this miserable shower

Staff were ignorant and rude rushed and angry service spent over 170 pounds and still couldn’t be bothered to be polite food not good either

The food was lovely, however if you didn’t feel so rushed and the staff were more welcoming, friendly and polite you would leave a big fat tip and probably visit a lot more

Fantastic takeaway. Been using Bafu for years, no where else compares. Portions are so much bigger than other local Chineseso actually feed the family.

We have just had a takeaway from this place absolutely awful. I ordered chilli beef and the beef tasted as if it was cooked in old oil and the beef was terribly over cooked. My partner had special fried rice and curry sauce he got about 4 pieces of meat and one pace was bone and the curry sauce had a weird flavour. Will never order from here again.

There was 8 of us and the service was great, food was hot and fresh, staff were welcoming. The menus were taken away from us, but were given back each time we ordered more food, I was worried about booking here after reading previous reviews, but I can honestly say none of us had anything bad to say about the service or food. Thank you BaFu for having us x

Mouthwatering food 🍱 definitely going again staff are lovely made me chuckle specially the young girl. Don’t know why people complain about them they are very hardworking definitely under rated

Service was disgraceful, was made to feel everything was an effort and very very rude. Food was shocking very bland, even tho wasn't buisy still waited long time for food which wasn't worth the wait. Would not recommend this place to any one, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY,

What a weird environment this place is… So we went as a group of 4, ordered our drinks the beer was flat as a pancake & the Coca Cola we ordered gave me panda pop vibes? 🧐 definitely wasn’t Coca Cola. The whole “Eat as much as you like” is joke really because they go out their way to make sure you don’t order as much you want. By bringing out half of the dishes you order as an example they brought out 2 crab claws between 4 people as a hint to go to the next course… When we questioned this thinking maybe it was a mistake so we ordered them again they brought out 2 again… I understand them not wanting you waste any food. But the portions are really small so if you want to reorder a certain course again they make out like it’s a massive inconvenience or tut at you. The customer service (if you can even call it that) is near enough insulting at times. Overall I don’t think I’ll be in any rush to return they made it a very hostile environment from the off. By snatching the menu away from you & question how many dishes you want to order. The food is pretty good but the staff seem to go out their way to make sure you don’t come back it seems?.

I googled ba fu to find out prices & to book a table, booking a table was easy with a phone call & managed to squeeze us in. Website stated that it was 13.90 for the evening. Ok no problem at all to get the venue & find a totally different price the menus are confusing with menu 1 or menu 2 I believe they were the same price too. Food was amazing and hot. Altho some of the staff were so miserable and can be pushy. Was a good evening altho a little noisey at times as the place is so tiny.

Me and my partner have ordered many times through takeaway and eaten in the restaurant, had a few issues here and there but never anything to get too annoyed about but tonight was a joke. Ordered through the website and after waiting 1 hour and 45 minutes, I called them to see where our food was. I was told that the driver had 2 deliveries so was probably delayed and would be with us soon. After a further 20 minutes, our food arrived. It was cold and soggy, the majority went in the bin. So disgusted, we waited over 2 hours for revolting food. Family members stopped ordering from here previously due to problems but we stuck with then…no more! Will never order from here again! More customers lost!!!!!

- food missing -no flavour in any of the food. -cold and chewy and congealed curry. Sweet and sour sauce tasteless. Don’t know how u can get that wrong? Waisted 2 hours for what I can call your microwave chef restaurant. Spent over £55 and no prawn crackers just because I used my bank card and not cash. Seemingly weird that they prefer cash. DO NOT WATSE YOUR MONEY. As you can see it fed my bin

Really disappointing that the delivery was 45 minutes later than their longest time estimate - and despite several phone calls they didn’t care!Said that delivery driver was always bad every week - and not interested that using a bad delivery driver was going to mean I don’t order from them again… Clearly they are doing so well they are not interested in returning customers… don’t use them

I ordered from here and spent about £50 and I must say this restaurant is the best Chinese in Thanet. The chicken balls were so good and I loved everything about it. Delivery was very quick and the food was piping hot even when I got it.

BaFu is a continuous favourite. The staff are really friendly and are quick to serve food and drink. The food is always tasty and there is an extensive menu to choose from. Highly recommend

Absolutely terrible, I ordered food for me and my son. We have been waiting an hour and a half, I can't even get through to their restaurant as the line is busy. Me and my son are left hungry, I have never had this experience before. I will never order from them again, and judging by their other reviews, I expect other customers have had a similar experience. I will be going to them tomorrow to claim my refund, plus compensation. I've had cold food delivered before, my delivery turn up late... but I have never been ignored. How do you guys expect to survive???

Decided to have a treat and ordered a takeaway worth £80. It arrived late and cold. Got charged for delivery, charged for service even though we paid cash and our free bottle of drink was a can of Fanta and a can of carlsberg. When I phoned up to complain, I was told " what do you want me to do about it". Certainly will not be using Bafu again. Such a shame as we have used this place for over 15 years.

Utterly disgusting. Without doubt the worst chinese meal I ever had. The pork in the sweet and sour pork balls were more like a paste.

I have just ordered a take away from the Ba Fu & have never ordered from them before.The food was on time & hot & was one of the best Chinese that I have ever had. I will certainly be ordering from them again & I would highly reccomend them to my friends.

Came back here after a gap of a few years, and it was just as good as before. Decent food and freshly cooked, so there's a bit of a wait at busy times. It's all you can eat (except the duck course) and we were told it was OK to mix mains and starters as much as we wanted, which was helpful as the salt & pepper prawns and squid were a particular favourite. Plates are smallish but as we were in a big group we asked for large helpings of the favourites and the staff were happy to oblige.

Fabulous return to The Ba Fu tonight! This place has got to be one of the best restaurants in the whole of the South East of England! Our first visit since 2011 did not disappoint. Several Sun Lik lagers later and the quality of the dishes really hit the spot! We are so lucky to have you! Thank you for a great evening out!

The food is at an average standard for a typical Chinese food. The price is really reasonable for all you can eat. However, the majority of the time the staff can be quite rude and rush you when eating. The service of food is slow.

The outside of the building doesn’t do this restaurant credit. Inside it’s bright and clean. Drinks are reasonably priced and the food is very good with lots of choice if you choose from menu one, very much worth the extra £2.

Great food. Great service. Hot food no time to wait as it’s cooked fresh. Very tasty. Will definitely return with more friends. Selection of food is above and beyond. This is the place to visit fir the perfect family meal at a great cost

We have visited a couple of times the first time was pretty good it’s very small so best to book a table to save disappointment, we enjoyed our food the first time and portion sizes are just right.The second time we went it was a bit busier and most things were ok but our salt and pepper chicken was not cooked it was very pink inside.The staff are friendly and we didn’t have to wait ages fir our food

I use Ba Fu regularly to deliver meals for me. I have found the quantity, and quality of the food very good. Last night, I ordered Roast Pork, Beef Curry, Pork Rice and BBQ spare ribs. Prawn Crackers were free with this meal, plus 10% off. Polite and pleasant delivery in very good time. Thank you, Ba Fu, a very Happy Christmas to you all.

The staff, mainly one women was so rude, there was me and my partner, and then two other tables. 3 out of 3 tables complained. A lady on another table was looking at the menu for her son and was asking questions to the waitress, the waitress got all annoyed for some reason, slammed the menu shut that the whole restaurant looked, tutted, rolled her eyes and then walked off. I didn’t particularly want to spend £40 odd pound for me and my partner for a really awkward night, such a horrible atmosphere, no music, she sat us right in the middle and then pretty much stood next to us in front of the counter staring half of the night. Wasn’t helpful at all, we had the chicken and all tables complained that it was slimy, literary looked like a slug. I simply asked if we could order another dish because of the chicken and she made a massive deal out of it telling us what we had to finish this dish first. Was just made to feel on edge and awkward all night. I never ever write reviews so this must be pretty bad

Ordered a takeaway for delivery - when ordering it said 45 mins - after I had paid it went up to an hour and 10 mins - eventually after an hour and a half we rang and they suggested it would be with us soon (took another 15 mins after that) When the food arrived we unpacked it and everything was cold. A couple of ok things like the chicken balls and chow mien but apart from that the food was stone cold and didn’t taste nice. The chips actually resembled cardboard. Will never be ordering from here again!

We visited Ba Fu on 22nd September 2019. The food was fantastic, the waitress service of a high standard. We left Ba Fu very satisfied and can highly recommend it as a nice restaurant to eat in if you like Chinese cuisine

We were recommended the BA FU by a friend. Upon arrival we notice a 5 hygiene rating which is “very good”. On entering the restaurant (Wednesday evening) it was reasonably busy. The tables were dressed with cutlery and serviettes. We were presented with an “eat as much as you like” menu. The cost of the food menu was £13.50 per adult. Prices are higher at weekends. You can order as much food as you like and can repeat an order (even Duck). Portions are a little on the small side but this is not an issue as you can order more. The food was nice. The menu is fairly extensive and there should be enough variety to please most. The food was delivered hot. Should you not eat and finish a dish ordered, you are not allowed to reorder that dish (very understandable). The waitress was friendly and helpful. The Waitress was unsure of food allergies (which is not great). There is a variety of drinks available. The restaurant caters for approx 45 covers so booking is advisable. There are separate male and female toilets but they could do with redecorating. The biggest negative was that the restaurant carpet was very dirty and is noticeable. In my opinion, wooden flooring would improve the restaurant. I would go back to the restaurant but not for a special occasion.

Just had a home delivery from BA FU and it was tasteless, and cold, not all the dishes that were ordered came but different dishes in their place, ordered special fried rice and what came was plain rice with half a dozen prawns and a few strands of chicken, butterfly prawns were very over cooked. Vegetable curry appeared to only have cabbage in and a couple of pieces of carrot. Definitely wouldn’t recommend and we shall not order from there again.

Visited last night for a friends birthday.

I don't even need to explain why I think this place is awful. Everyone else has taken words out my mouth on here. The service from them two ladies are absolutely vile snatch menus tut at you when u order more food very rude and argumentive u have lost out on £150 or more a week from me and my family close the place down and learn some kindness and manors rude staff

Me and a family member were looking forward to our visit on Thursday, lunchtime, 16/05/19 and we were not disappointed. The lady that served us was very attentive and friendly, and we had a pleasant conversation with her about many things ; She really is a lovely lady and can't do enough for you. We didn't have to wait long for the food and it was wonderful and generous !!!. A very civilised experience, with good music - Including some Chinese covers of famous English songs !

I spent £19.10 tonight on a delivery. S&S; Pork Balls - excellent. Chinese bambooshoots & Mushrooms - too many bambooshoots and not enough mushrooms. Special Fried Rice: Not too special - just a few bits of chicken in rice - no pork, prawns etc. BBQ Spare Ribs: BIG container & excellent. Add to this free prawn crackers and mini spring rolls - a good value meal. I will be using the 20% off online voucher that came with the meal. Meal delivered 10 minutes early and very hot.

The food is lovely however you have to prepare yourself for the rude and unprofessional attitude that the staff have it is the same songs on repeat and I would like to warn you there is only one nice woman who works in there who is the only one who stopped me from turning round and saying something to be quite honest, I will not return personally because although the food was nice I cannot cope with being spoken to as I am something unhygienic that the staff have just trodden In whilst walking there dog in a big field/park!

So angry. A lovely gesture from my son to treat me to my favourite meal. 2 HOURS wait! for 2 meals which turned up cold. Phoned 3 x to ask what was happening lots of apologises but no action. Bloody awful. Average food - not the worst BUT definitely not worth 2 hrs wait . The take away part of this restaurant is obviously not important to the staff. DO NOT USE AS A TAKE AWAY UNLESS EVERYWHERE ELSE IS SHUT... and your not that hungry yet...!

What can I say if you love to eat ok food but sit for extremely long periods in between servings then this is the place to come.

I quite enjoyed the food £13.50 and you can eat as much as you like. We ordered a lot; two lots of starters,mid corse duck and mains. The staff were unhappy, taking away menus as soon as we had ordered and they were not happy when we asked for them back. This makes us sound greedy but the portions are quite small.menus were thrown on the table.

Avoid avoid avoid. Food was very late then unedable. Disgusting! 1st and last time we will order from there. Trade and standards need to take a look at this place.

Worst service we ever had.The food is quite good accually but stuff is really rude. They've got no manners,not saying much to you,not asking to follow you to the table,throwing menus on your table,pulling faces at you....Wont be back there again! Its horrible.

A group of about 20 of us from aquacise spent a very enjoyable lunch time at this delightful restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff exceptional. Cannot wait to ge there again. Many thanks Ba Fu.

i am not sure if the staff are aware of what service is, there was only me and my partner and the restaurant was not even full and i could hear other tables complaining of the wait which they had endured. the food was not in any way satisfying and the lemon chicken appeared to be a chicken steak from a high street supermarket with a slice of lemon on top. the staff did not listen to what you had to say and made no attempt to rectify any feedback received. Me and my partner could also hardly hear each other over the rest of the restaurant and as mentioned it was not even full. Prices on the menu and hidden and we were also given the wrong bill which was nearly double our total and were very dismissive when approached about this. To summarize, i would not let my dog eat there let alone return for another long wait which we would just be charged a ridiculous sum for. save your time and go elsewhere.

After coming to bafu many times because i love the food I have finally had enough of the service and will no longer spend my hard earned money in there. Being a regular you'd think the staff would be kind but not in this place. Faces like someone's stole their lunch money, food thrown on the tables, no manners, everything seems to be an inconvenience (including simply ordering food). Very much a shame.

Without a doubt the worst Chinese takeaway I have ever had the misfortune of ordering. I ordered from here a few months ago and wasn't impressed. I had been recommended Ba Fu by others so assumed that it was just a one off bad takeaway. I ordered again late last night (only one of two Chinese takeaways open at 10:30pm and the only one to sell seemingly alright vegetarian options).

Spent 3 hours in the loudest, most cramped restaurant I’ve ever experienced. The waitress looked like everything was an inconvenience to her. Literally threw the food on the table.

Booked lunch for a group of 8. Huge choice which satisfied all tastes including one lady who had never tried Chinese food before. She sampled over 20 dishes and can't wait to go again.The whole group enjoyed the meal and we will be booking again soon. All food cooked to order and excellent value for money.

The most awful, low quality produce are used and cooked under-whelmingly. Everything we ate was tasteless. The hot hors d'ouvres had no filling I could see or taste. I could only taste cooking oil. The meats, prawns and veg were tasteless, the spices were tasteless, the rice was probably cooked a week ago, the noodles were the pits and the curry sauce looked and tasted like nothing on earth.

We ordered a Chinese meal for two. People spoke of it but it was only okay. It is not the best Chinese we have had. We have our favourites.

We had a lovely meal tonight for our first visit. We had the first menu which had very good choices for vegetarian & meat. Really looking forward to going again

Tres bolas de pollo! No! Entiendo que cuando las cosas están ocupados puede llevar más tiempo, pero creo que este lugar es tomar el p. Con el s. El tamaño de las porciones y cuando llegó la factura nos cobraron 15 libras. 50 por persona! Tiene un precio que cualquiera que he visto en los menús o el sitio web? Probablemente no, porque creo que lo hizo en el lugar. Sin desglose en la factura solo el costo de personas y bebidas. Esto no es aceptable. Si intenté hacer eso con mis clientes que me preguntaran por un desglose de la factura.

Mesa para 10 personas estaba reservado para las 8 de la tarde. El servicio era lento y el personal era grosero y parecía como si en realidad no quería estar allí. La comida llegaba en dribs drabs y que significaba que estaban esperando los platos con fideos de arroz para ir.

Mi amigo y yo visitamos aquí el sábado por la noche. Llamé para reservar una mesa unos días antes, por lo que me sorprendió al llegar aquí no tenían reserva para nosotros, tuve la sensación de que la chica en el teléfono no estaba escuchando. La camarera no encontrarnos una mesa, pero sentimos que nos estaban apurando, las camareras eran muy severo y tomamos nuestra comida, antes de que han terminado. La comida era buena, una pena el servicio.

Went for a friends birthday, told the persons birthday Whom it was would eat free. When called to book a table, got told has to be a minimum of 6 people after telling them there was 5 of us. Staff are so rude, felt like they were standing behind us the whole time waiting for plates, as soon as put folk down they would lean right over and take plates. Would turn their noses up when asking for more food (surely that's the whole point of all you can eat right) We ordered 2 bottles of wine which came very quick (because paying a fair price for it I bet) the coke a sparkling water followed behind about 5 minutes later! Friend ordered chicken with spring onion and ginger, which was an ok flavour but chicken was very fatty she couldn't eat it. When came to paying the bill was £104 which was ok, I went to pay on my card and noticed it said "no connection" on the card machine and told the lady where she said it was fine then it declined. The lady was so rude when telling me which annoyed me. Luckily I had cash to pay aswell. We chose this place as take away is nice (but never on time even if picking it up) but I definitely won't be going back there any time soon, the waitress need a few lessons in customer service.

Been to this restaurant a couple of times with friends but went this Saturday and it was nothing short of appalling, the food come out over a 35 minute period with rice and noodles going cold before other dishes come out, several left as they waited for an hour and had enough, it took us in total 3 hours to get feed which was un acceptable by any bodys terms, we will not be using this any more as was told thats how it was, a very young English girl who was trying to sort all the mess out told us she had only worked here 3 days and felt embarrassed.

We've visited Ba Fu several times, the food has always been good but the service is fairly surly to say the least. As it's convenient to home and the food is usually OK we chose to go here for Valentines evening.From the start we felt unwelcome, I noticed other tables were getting the same treatment.. the food came out in dribs and drabs (by the time my partners chow mein arrived he'd finished his chicken balls). There was a large TV on the wall which was on, I felt this inappropriate.One particular member of staff practically curled her lip up and sneered "you want more?" at my partner when he ordered another portion of Kung Po chicken. I asked for a glass of water and received no acknowledgement - not even a look in the eye although the water did arrive, which in my mind makes it worse.There was a family with screaming kids at the next table... not the fault of the restaurant but something to bear in mind if you're looking for a quiet evening.All in all, this one is now definitely off our list. Dreadful service. A real shame.

We were first taken to this eating place by my Brother and his wife.They had been their several times and always raved about it!We went with open minds and were very surprised to find how much we.too. enjoyed it. There is a good choice of menu and the food is absolutely excellent.It's a clean and very pleasant place to eat :)

Thought we would give this place a try last night, well I wish we hadn't bothered.The food is ok, they forgot to bring one of the courses out and had to wait ages.The service is probably the worst we have experienced, the waitress that served us was rude and surly. 12 of us came for a surprise birthday to one of our friends. bad choice. table was booked for 6.30, everything we ordered (baring in mind we asked for portions big enough for 12 people) 1 plate of everything we ordered came out. after asking for more of it the replies were 'this is a portion for the whole table' what, 5 satay skewers was a portion for 12 people? as a big table, you need big portions so everyone can enjoy. we had only been served twice in an hour and a half and had ordered our mains at 8.10, at 8.45 we still had no food. one of our guests only had 2 cokes and 2 portions of chips (due to not liking chinese food but coming to a friends birthday meal) he was charged £20.90 for this. until he complained and they finally refunded him his owings. online their website says the meal is £10.90, we got there to find out it was £14.50, which is fine if the food was worth it but false advertisement otherwise. another big table in there had then told us 'we have been here an hour before you got here and believe us, were hungry and disappointed too' to which we decided we wasn't going to bother hanging around for our mains (which was apparently on their way) even though we'd been waiting over 40 minutes now for them in a chinese buffet restaurant? not happy with the waitress starting to take one of our only orders and then wander off to talk to someone else and then come back to finish with us. it's rude, the other waitresses should have waited till she was finished with us before pouncing on her to help her out. overall.. everyone at our dinner was very very very disappointed and angry and we all went home to wish the birthday boy a happy birthday with a kebab at his house.

The food when you get it is OK, however we have been here now for almost two hours & we haven't been served our main course yet. The tables are rammed in, you literally have to squeeze by other tables/chairs to get to the toilet. The coke was served flat, but at least that came relatively quickly. I really don't know why we have come back here, it was equally as slow last time we were here.

Went last week with my family and it was excellent, The food was delicious. My parents had never been before and thought it was fantastic,The staff were great. Very Value for money.

Went yesterday,table of five down to four,starters were great,then got busy,forgot drinks then mains were cold,complained about the chicken to be told "it's not pink"it was inedible,awful customer service,still charged and paid full amount just to leave ,been here in the past but never ever again !

We went as a group of 6 and from the moment we entered I felt unwelcome and like we had interrupted the waiting staff's night. The service was shocking, the staff shouted to each other across the restaurant and the waitress even walked off half way through taking an order. The food was bland, boring and tasteless. No pride had been taken by the staff at all. I wish Panorama had been open so we could have gone for an enjoyable evening out instead.

Thought we would try this place for the first time, even though the reviews are mixed we like to give places a go.Well what can I say! The staff are miserable and quite rude actually. It is a wednesday and so they must not have thought it would be busy as there was only one girl working the floor. They must have phoned for reinforcements because another girl turned up to work.The starters we had was; won ton, sea weed, chicken satay, salted chicken strips and what was curried samosas. Nothing to rave about and the chicken was cheap stuff!Middle was either lamb or duck, we had half and half. The duck was actually nice.For the main we had; chicken curry which again was the cheap fake stuff, prawn kung po and schzuen prawn and beef in ginger which was just a plate of slime which instantly knocks me sick.The staff actually whilst in the middle of ordering the crispy duck etc just walked off and started bringing food out for other people and then after 15mins she came back. The toffee apple with ice-cream at the end was really nice.So all in all we can honestly say that we wont got there every again!

Only gets one star as there's no option for less. Coke was flat, as was the replacement that followed. Second replacement wasn't much better. Wine was warm, replacement was slightly better. Actually felt like I was interrupting the staffs evening off. Food was poor, prawns still cold in the middle as they hadn't been cooked for long enough. Was expecting to be ill next morning but luckily wasn't. I have reviewed this restaurant before, it was very good last time I went. I'd rather go hungry than eat here again. Suggestion to the staff..... Try a smile! Suggestion to customers.... eat somewhere else.

What a absolute disgrace of a place. Beer was warm, coke was flat, when we orders our food, we asked for a side of chips.... she brought our drinks over and gave us our chips before any other food, so after waiting another 20 minutes we finally can have our 'food' and cold chips.

Lovely meal at Bafu with my wife. The food was prompt, hot and very tasty. The staff were sociable if not chatty but I think this may be cultural more than personal. We found the 'all you can eat' buffet to be fantastic value. My only issue is that parking may be difficult at busy times as its on street only.

Food was good but the portion size seemed to get smaller and smaller, especially when you ordered the same thing a second or third time!

What an awful place. The food is outrageous. The service is terrible. We all had upset stomachs when we returned home. The chicken satay was awful and really slimy. We will not be returning.

I am not normally a fan of this type of all you can eat, preferring a buffet where you can 'graze'.This one is good. It's the second time we have been and both times the service has been speedy and the food good.This time there was a party of 16 came in just after us and I thought the service and speed would slow down. Not at all.Plus the children in the party were all well behaved. It's not the cheapest, it doesn't look posh, but we'll worth a visit. The place was full when we were there so best to book.

If you interested in a 'all you can eat' restaurant, then this may be the one for you. Check the menu and prices carefully but it is probably best to go for the expensive option as this give access to a greater selection of starters and mains, let`s not forget the additional £2.00p extra on menu prices for the privilege of eating on Friday/Saturday nights, bit of a pain that..I found the food very tasty indeed and did not have to wait too long between courses but why you may ask have I given an overall rating of poor, well the waitresses' all seemed pretty miserable and gave the impression they couldn't wait for us to go, totally spoiled the whole experience.The same thing happened last year when we went with some friends and they mentioned the lack of smiley faces, so nothing has changed much since then.I am not asking the staff to go around with a fixed grin on their faces but a smile now and then wouldn't hurt.

Have been to the Bafu many times and the food is consistently good with a nice variety of starters and mains.

My first meal here and I was honestly very pleasantly surprised by the freshness and quality of the food. Surroundings pleasant and parking is easy ( on street ) service was quick and polite. I'm going again this week with friends. £16 each!! Brilliant value. I'd recommend anyone try it
