B8 Cafe in West Dorset

This place was hard to find (in the dark) but well worth it. Had the vegan chicken burger. Absolutely Amazing! Also has a free arcade machine while you wait.

I visited B8 for something to eat before visiting the cinema. It is a plant based restaurant (vegan). I chose the set menu which was 10 courses/dishes for £20. The servings were generous and I was so full that I was unable to finish everything and even took my dessert home with me. The taste, quality and presentation of food was fantastic. The lady (I assume the owner) who was working on her own there was helpful and polite whilst preparing food for myself as well as a continuous flow of take away orders. The 'prawn' toast was so much better than the real thing. The vegetable spring rolls were possibly the best I've ever eaten and the salt & pepper popcorn tofu was amazing. I'm still fantasising about the dessert, which was peanut butter french toast with cream and strawberries. It was delicious! The restaurant is small and cosy and also has an outside area which will be lovey when the weather is warmer. The decor inside is unique and wouldn't look out of place in a dystopian future sci fi movie. If I were to give constructive feedback it would be to turn the volume of the music down a little. Although enjoyable it was rather loud but that might just be my age showing :-) I am not vegan or vegetarian. In fact I really enjoy eating meat however I am a fan of great tasting food and this was some of the best I've had the pleasure of eating.

Went here for my birthday, and had the new 'all you can eat' dinner experience. So much incredible food, I'd have trouble remembering everything we tried but highlights included the salt & pepper tofu, the floating lettuce wraps, the 'prawn' toast, and bang bang cauliflower, not to mention the incredible syrup pancake things we had for dessert. And an absolute steal at £15 p/h. All parties, vegans and non-vegans, utterly blown away.

We finally went to B8 yesterday evening after a friend had been recommending them for a long time. I really regret not going there sooner! I had the Katsu and that was honestly the best meal I've had in Dorchester since moving here 6 years ago. Please give them a try and don't live with regret like me.

Duck pancakes, burger and a selection Pandora’s box (tofu, pop cauliflower, prawn toast…) tasted fresh and flavoursome. Plenty of food. Staff super nice. What a great find passing through, we’ll remember that meal for a long time! Good luck to the lovely owner!

One of the most delicious take aways I have ever had! I am primarily a meat eater but wow!!! I had a Buddha bowl and the bang bang cauliflower and I cannot fault one bit!! Absolutely sensational! The eco friendly way it was packaged with the wooden forks and cardboard containers was fantastic! I will definitely be returning!!

Food was incredible! I had the duck pancakes and sweet chilli cauliflower but the menu changes every week to include new dishes. Cannot recommend enough fantastic food and friendly, genuine and passionate staff.

We had an excellent meal at b8 cafe today, amazing Asian vegan food, and fantastic idea to have a regularly changing menu. Excellent gyozas and a brilliant sweet chilli cauliflower rice dish. So refreshing to have a purely vegan restaurant in Dorchester and the staff were wonderful. 10/10 would strongly recommend to everyone.
