We came here this evening after having a wander around town and looking at various food options. I had a chicken biryani and my husband had a signature lamb green chilli dish. They were both amazing curries and the keema nan was so light and tasty too. A thoroughly gorgeous meal and attended to by the most lovely friendly and courteous staff. If only we lived nearer as visiting here on holiday.

All our food was delicious, authentic & served lovely & hot. The peshwari naan is absolutely gorgeous. All meals were reasonably priced too. It was a very cold night in Fraserburgh when we visited & the restaurant felt a bit cold despite the owners having additional convector heater on.

I have recently spent a night out in Fraserburgh, stopping over for the night and as there were two Indian restaurants in town, I chose this one for my evening meal. I am so glad that I did. I had a Chicken Dansak, my favourite dish being the one that originally got me hooked on Indian food. This dansak was superb and just as it should be. Staff, including the owner's wife, were very friendly and chatty. If I am ever in Fraserburgh again, I would not hesitate to use the B-Raj.

If in fraserburgh again, i will definitely stop here again. Worth a stop to have a bite to eat.

I have already reviewed this place but had the misfortune to have had to use it last weekend due to no choice of mine as usual the didn't fail to surprise me .The order from the carryout was 1 hour late when I called all I got were the usual excuses its a technical problem could happen to anyone they told me it would be another 30 minutes but as soon as I told them I was driving down to get my money refunded it appeared at my door 5 minutes later. Also delivered by a child full of apologies(nice touch) so obviously it was been driven around the town in the boot of a car being stone cold was another clue there poor service poor quality food even the king prawns I ordered in my main meal were on the turn being an ex fisherman I know this for fact when the tail starts to go black its no good so most of mine ended up in the bucket £60 quid for a carryout you would think it would be better but these people don't care NEVER AGAIN I SWEAR !!!!!

An award-winning Indian restaurant in Fraserburgh? While there on a family visit, we had to try out B Raj for ourselves - and were not disappointed!Great food, staff happy to chat or leave you in peace. A huge menu with the usual favourites and some exciting chef's specials - there is something for everyone. There is even a European menu for the unsure, but please don't go here and order fish and chips!!!The food was fresh and delicious and arrived quickly. My fiancé got his entire glass of water knocked into his lap by a waiter, but it was quickly mopped up and replaced, and we all laughed! This is worth a visit - or make a detour if you are in the area.

We have been going here for years and the food is unfailingly excellent. There has been bad press recently and in the past on social media about how servers are treated (underpaid, tips not shared, not being spoken to in a proper manner). I have witnessed the latter first hand when a nice polite server was chastised in front of us for a mistake which the owner's wife had made with our order.Although I the above would not cause me to stop going to the restaurant, it would be good for the owner's reputation to address such shortcomings.

Had to give this award winning Indian a try, having previously been voted best in Scotland. Having tried many Indians, I wouldn't class this as the top anymore. We had Keema Chilli Bhoona, South Indian Garlic Chilli Keema, Peshwari Nan and Garlic Chilli Nan. The curries were nice, but difficult to taste a difference between them. Good consistency, fresh flavours and only a medium spice. Lacked the Fragrance and heat of an authentic Asian curry, but would suit those with a more Western palate. The Nan bread was really nice, full of flavour, and plenty of it. The Peshwari was sweet and the Garlic Chilli had a nice kick to it. The Ambience had nice but not overwhelming Asian feel, and the service was attentive and professional. Certainly the best Indian in the Broch by miles, and one of the better Indians in the North East of Scotland

Wanted to leave a quick review for my favourite Indian Restaurant B Raj in Fraseburgh. I must say this is probably the best Indian restaurant I have been to so far. This is a family reastaurant and you do get the feeling that you are the part of this wonderful family. The owner and his lovely wife are always there helping out and greeting guests. They always remember their frequent quests and never forget to give you a smile and ask you how you are doing and how you like the food and service. The quiet music on the background creates a fantastic atmosphere. The food there is absolutely to die for. It is always made from the best fresh ingridients and my personal favorite is Malabar Fish Curry made of the freshest and best quality monk fish. This is not a big restaurant so if you want to go there at the weekend you best to book the table in advance. The service is always efficient and quick we never had to wait for too long. Overall this is a fantastic place if you like authentic Indian cusine. An overall winner for me due to its homelike feeling, exquisite food and wonderful hosts (Mr Raj and his Team)!

Been here quite a few times and the only thing that brings me back is the food which is excellent, the staff on the other hand leaves a lot to be desired and the biggest offender is the owners wife, maybe it is the set up of the restaurant but you hear every word she is saying to the staff which at times isn't pleasant, I have witnessed arguments among staff and on one occasion a walk out of a member of staff, the owners wife stands with her back to the customers tallying up bills and also constantly answering the phone for take away orders. Every time I am in I have to approach the bar area for a refill on my drink, the staff are not attentive enough. Thank god the food is good.

No Odense to the good people of Fraserbrugh but arriving in the dock by sea is not promising. Arriving tired, late and hungry in the dark, hoping for a decent restaurant requires a degree of toughness I do not possess! We had heard there was a great Chinese. The first people we met on the street explained in a Eastern European accents they weren't from round here. The next we met said in slightly thinner Eastern European accents that there were no restaurants in Fraserbrugh at all. The third people we met were a pair of young men, very drunk, very thick Eastern European accents, who thought our request for a Chinese restaurant the funniest thing they had ever heard.Fortunately we were overheard by two incredibly friendly local couples who assured us that the best place to eat in the whole of Scotland was B Raj. Indeed people regularly came there from Aberdeen. So we followed them in. They clearly knew the proprietor well and so we became his newest friends.Service was superb, friendly and attentive. The food divine! I love a good Indian meal and I couldn't find fault with this one. A fine blend of spice, sweetness and flavour. So if you come to Fraserbrugh by land or sea don't even think of looking for the non-existent Chinese. Head for B Raj for total satisfaction.

The décor may not be he most modern but as a lover of lamb curries B Raj cant be beaten! The ingredients are fresh the lamb is always tender and decent size portions compared to most who often use mutton and small pieces that are often chewy.Having lived in Aberdeen and tried most of the curry houses it is always a pleasure and a treat when out of town to get a curry from here, we even on occasion order more and freeze at home for another night .The curry sauces that are served with the Tikka dishes make a great base for making your own curry as they are always packed full of flavour .The Lamb Tikka is the best of any I have had and if you eat in the restaurant instead of take away this sizzling platter is delicious with the perfect amount of heat if you like a bit of a kick. The starters are good and the owners are very accommodating and helpful to peoples requirmentsDrinks can be a bit pricey so check their drinks menu before ordering.

After shedding out £30 and driving 2 minute drive home we was most disappointed!!! Our starters had old salad which was also warmer than the pakora and bhajee!!Next the main.... both chicken dishes with very little chicken was also not very warm!! Remember only 2 minute drive with no waiting on take away!!!!Having heating up meals in microwave and oven. We ate away at our food seen as we paid a small fortune and had a glass of wine so could not return to restaurant. I then phoned and spoke to the owner who apologised and couldn't understand why so offered us all our ordered dishes free next time.....We'll today we placed that order again. The ever so apologetic owner that day changed his tune and couldn't remember us after recording our name in 'the book'. He then replied 'oh yes the big order'. No not big order... Welcome to Curry heaven! The B Raj Tandoori in Fraserburgh is an exceptional outlet if you love a taste sensation. I struggle to fault a single dish on it's menu. This is, however, one thing that is easy to fault - the price. Although the food is excellent, and the staff are (one the whole) friendly, it does not perhaps justify the pricing structure. Take the buffet for instance - All you can eat, brilliant tastes and selection, and avaliable several days a week - but at £17+ a pot, it is bordering on extortionate. That said the takeaway prices are more acceptable (i.e. you won't have to take out a second mortgage on your house to eat one).I think the B Raj, athough it has excellent food, has got a little too accustomed to being the only Indian Resturarant in town.

A gropup of us dine out frequently in Fraserburgh. Unfortunately we have stopped dining in this restaurant. The food is very good, service usually good and there is a nice ambience in the restaurant. However there are two major problems with this establishment. Firstly it is extremely expensive. Secondly we have consistently been charged for items we have not received. This happens on a regular basis. If you try and discuss this with the proprietor he becomes quite angry and insists it was a mistake. Our group of diners are quite affluent and certainly not greedy but nobody likes the feeling of being ripped off. The ironic thing about this is that this restaurant would be extremely busy and popular if he reduced his prices slightly and ensured the final bill was accurate.

The tandoori set price menu you are bombarded with different dishes all cooked in the Tandoor (eg Chicken wrapped in Mint, shish kebab, Chicken tikka, lamb shaslik, garlic chicken, Malia chicken tikka) & after tasting all that to round off he offered any main course with rice & nan accompanient . The food was absolutely gorgeous & succulent , but I had to wave the white flag of surrender or I might have burst . Mr & Mrs Soni always make you welcome & you won't get a better Indian meal . They are past winners of the Tiffin cup, the only problem is that they feed you too well. no matter how good your intentions when you enter you eat far more than you thought possible.

Decent quality Indian food and good service, but the extras add up a bit too quickly making this place a fairly pricey option for what you get.

I’ve been meaning to leave a review for a while. Had another excellent takeaway tonight from the bengal tiger. After a recent takeover it’s back with a bang. An excellent chicken tikka jalfrezi with lovely onion rice My missus also had vegetable korma. plenty fresh veg and sauce and she raves about it. Previous owners were diabolical with veggie dishes. Perfect takeaway right on our doorstep won’t hesitate now to invite friends round for a takeaway.
