Place is so much bigger than it appears. Really clean and the food is delicious with good portions.

Amazing attitiut of the staff. This morning I was urgently need to use the bathroom and have approched the member of staff (well dressed Italian man I recon). Just ware just about to open the place, with out hesitation he allowed me to use the bathroom. Great thank you we need more peoples like this gentlemen. Next time I'll pop in for a food and drink.

Have been here before when in London and it was a lovely place to eat, good food and atmosphere usually. When we came this week, it couldn't have been more different. The place was empty, and that should have rang warning bells. Sadly the food has really gone downhill. Whilst my pasta tasted nice , there wasn't a lot of it for the price paid and it wasn't particularly hot. I also paid to add chicken, and it was like somebody had gone and bought a packet of processed sliced chicken sandwich meat and just chucked it in. Awful! The garlic bread with cheese was soggy, the cheese melted but not browned.....basically like it had been microwaved to melt it. I could have got a better microwave meal for far less, and I think I probably should have! The waitress was lovely and friendly. Sadly disappointed.

passing through London, excellent restaurant

We fell over this place randomly while walking, and went inside. The place seems small from the outside, but it's actually very big. We got served by some lovely staff members, who where helpful, one in particular, named Monika. She was very sweet, and ended up serving us, whenever we visited. The food was lovely.

Service and atmosphere were as expected. The food was disappointing and overpriced. The chicken Milanese at £21.95 was "dry as a bone". My spaghetti carbonara was nice, but at £17.45 I expected a larger portion. The restaurant relies on its convenient location, and the fact it was half empty on a Saturday evening speaks for itself.

Great place very close to Waterloo Station but NOT a fast good 'chain'¡¡ Try it I am so glad I did. Decent fungi brushetta and v good negroni. Friendly staff, efficient service. Sit inside for a cozy "under the rails" experience.

Location, atmosphere, company was great. Carbonara was not like Florence. The grilled steak tasted burned unfortunately. Was cooked perfectly on the inside, but the grill marks were too pronounced with burnt.

An absolutely spectacular place to eat at. The music wasn't too loud, the food was great, and i for sure have no complaints.

We ordered 2x tagliatelle fungi and a kids penne Napoli well the tagliatelle was bland and not that hot, the penne was not too hot either also ordered a chocolate brownie and vanilla ice cream and the waitress added a child’s ice cream to the table probably wouldn’t eat here again. The staff took quite a while to come to take our order they do a lot of chatting between themselves.

Stopped in for drinks and server acted like we were bothering her. We each had a drink but felt so uncomfortable we left after one. She didnt come back. We had to get a different server to cash us out. None of the five of us wanted to stay.

Good service, nice food. I had lasagne which was nice, but could have less oil. My friends food was lovely as she had 2 starters for a main. They are flexible when ordering. The cocktails were nice too. And I was pleased they gave discount to NHS staff - 10% off! Good value! Thank you.

I was disappointed with the food, we ordered different pizzas, and the dough was like fried? I would have preferred if the menu stated what type of dough it was to avoid disappointments later on - the service was nice, though.

Disgrace. I'm not sure who or how the 3+ rating is maintained, but the quality and value proposition are a scam. The food tastes cheap, the lasagna held a faint undertone of chef Boyardee, the burger was frozen never fresh, complete with simulated grill marks and artificial smoke flavoring. I'm sure chef Mike (the 2 very visible microwaves) are putting in their fair share of work. If only I had seen the duo before ordering, I could have saved myself the insane price for shoddy food. This problem is beyond service fixes. Place needs a total rehaul before it could be called a restraunt at those prices. Bar can only make drinks on the menu while missing the staple choices like martinis & margaritas.

I barely range one star, waitress was super rude, food was overvalued, I feel very uncomfortable, I won’t never back again. I don’t recommend this restaurant you can find better,for the price with nice staff.

Great staff but incredibly disappointing and massively overpriced food. Ordered a Caesar salad and received a small dish with 3 tiny bits of chicken, 2 cubes of avocado and mostly lettuce for £17. Friend I was with ordered a different salad and felt the same. Really poor value for money and food was quite average.

Nice location with great service, we had a table on the patio. Inside also a really nice restaurant. Though I have to say my pizza could have been way more baked… even as a Napoli style, this wasn’t enough heat for the dough.

Ordered the Azzurro salad, pepperoni pizza, and a cheeseburger with fries. All the food was very good. Our server, Monika, did a great job with our order. She was friendly and very helpful.

The food was very good and didn't take long from ordering to serving. The toilets weren't that clean, but okay. You sit right next to the train line and the train station.

We had dinner outside and despite the location being a quite busy area, we weren’t bothered. Staff was lovely, however food was a bit disappointing for a part of the group. I guess for what we paid it wasn’t too bad and we were just looking to get a quick dinner, and I’d be willing to give it another try in the future

Atmosphere was nice and relaxed The staff wasn't attentive we finished food and straaway they brought dessert menu when we didn't even finished the drinks. We we said we didn't want any desert the bill came to the table straight away. Food was really under Italian standards. I've ordered Contadino risotto and it was real dry and flavourless. Pretty much like a microwave meal. Really disappointed. I won't come back even if it's free.

Went here for lunch on a Saturday & they were able to find us a table despite no reservation. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. However I found the food quite average and a little on the expensive side for what you get. The food was okay but definitely not great, seems as if you pay more for the location (the location/atmosphere is pretty good)

We were excited to find availability the night before the marathon. The staff were excellent, attentive, and kind. The food was great. I would happily go back and recommend any time.

A very good place to have lunch or dinner right next to Waterloo station and the London Eyes. Very attentive service and good place to have a drink.

Very poor experience on Sunday 7th April. Think the chef may have run out of onions! Tasteless bland food, and not cheap. Avoid would be my advice

Didn't eat, just had a pint with a colleague while waiting for a train. Considering it's within spitting distance of Waterloo, it wasn't horribly expensive, just expensive. Service was all good, no complaints. But nothing particularly great to report either

visited this italian not knowing what to expect as we are typically pretty hard to please 100% as we absolutely love italians. this italian absolutely blew us away in the best way possible, we got the lasagna and spaghetti veneziana which were both cooked the absolute perfection. the garlic bread was also bloody lovely and tasted homeade! the restaurant itself is SO SO beautiful the decor is very modern and classy, the staff are beyond accommodating and will go the extra mile with a smile on their face always <3

Busy, good atmosphere and food!

Second time here during our trip and the food is delicious. Salmon risotto and salmon tagliatelle are delicious. Salads too, veggie burger too.

Booked this restaurant as it was close to Waterloo station near to where we were staying. We were very impressed with the ambience of the place. Beautiful hideaway in a busy part of London. The food was excellent as was the service and we didn't feel rushed and stayed for a good 2 & a half hours having a good catch up with my Auntie who lives in the London area. A lovely, cosy and welcoming restaurant.

Came here with family for meal . The food was very good & had a nice atmosphere. The service let venue down a little as was not overly friendly. For the location the prices are good. Worth a visit.

Very good service and delicious bolognese, however we found the pizza painfully average for its price. Good for allergens and nice coffee though so that’s a win.

Nice place clean and tidy, we arrived around 4pm so probably not their busiest time but counted about 12 staff on for about 4 tables of people. Felt a bit like they were watching the whole time. Anyway food was OK.. prices ok I suppose as its Waterloo. Probably won't be back or recommend. Average place and adequate for something quick.

For context, I visited on a Friday evening with friends, table pre booked. The restaurant was not busy during my visit. Service was excellent, I cannot fault this. Staff were very attentive, always checking we had what we need, drinks refilled very quickly. Food was mediocre. I would not describe the meals as authentic, and they lacked flavour and depth. Starters okay ish.. nothing stood out as good. Dessert was OK, although far too expensive. At a tenner for a cake with a scoop of ice cream I expect something fab. Very basic overall and I would not rush to eat here again. The price point is too expensive for what is on offer, but I suspect this has quite a bit to do with the central location and proximity to Waterloo Station. It does not justify it however. Would I go again? Yes, probably if I'm local for a drink but I'd skip the food unless I'm really, really hungry.

Food amazing. Loved sea bass. Only issue is they had an empty area, lots of free seats, but said to my friend, there were no tables free and no entry without reservation. Luckily, I had booked a table in advance.

As far as 'Italian' places go, this one is ok. I'm not Italian but visited with buddy who is and he always checks places like that for giggles. Food was ok, ordered pizza which I've eaten using cutlery, that was first time ever. Liked the venue, didn't expect they can create such a nice place under the arches: lot's of lights, nice décor, spacious. Tiramisu wasn’t fresh, watery so it was sitting in the fridge for long. It's quiet expensive, our bill was almost 80 quid but hey it's central London. I wouldn't recommend it for food, you want Italian, go to your local pizzeria, but as a venue it's fun with good vibrant and chilled out atmosphere.

Calzone was filth, full of oil soggy and full of oil. Cheese tasted like death

During my visit, I had the pleasure of indulging in several dishes, each one a culinary masterpiece. The spaghetti carbonara, with its creamy sauce and crispy pancetta, was a comforting and flavorful delight. The Margherita pizza, with its thin, crispy crust and gooey mozzarella, transported me to the streets of Naples with every bite. But beyond the delicious food, what truly set Azzurro apart was the impeccable service provided by the staff. From the warm welcome at the door to the attentive care throughout the meal, every interaction was marked by genuine hospitality and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Nice venue, we ordered 2 pasta’s, the sauces were good, but the prawns in my pasta was tiny, it was definitely just shrimps. Service was ok but lacked attention to detail, the staff were talking to each other a lot, we had to get up to get attention a couple of times. Think this place would be good for drinks, not sure I’d eat there again.

Very nice Italian food in a pleasant restaurant conveniently located for Waterloo. The pasta dishes and salads were uniformly very good, tasty and the right portion size. I will definitely return.

Unprofessional, rude and aggressive chefs spoiled the experience. There was a hair in the food so we politely mentioned it to the waitress who offered to provide a fresh dish for which we were happy to pay for. When she went to the chefs who were working in the restaurant in view of customers, they argued loudly and made negative comments towards us and also was aggressive to the waitress for daring to ask for a fresh dish. This went on for ages making us feel very comfortable. I have never seen such behaviour from catering staff. The new dish then was inedible due to the huge amount of chillies put in deliberately causing my family member to literally shed tears after 2 spoonsful and caused her stomach ache. We complained to the assistant manager who was lovely and apologetic. All of the waitresses were very polite, helpful and apologised for the incident. The chefs should be disciplined for their unacceptable behaviour and for making my family member ill. I have been to this restaurant many times before and had lovely tasty meals but I will never come back now or recommend this restaurant.

We only had drinks but the staff were lovely

Service was great and staff super friendly and helpful. We don't eat, just drinks and we hired the upstairs mezzanine section for a gathering, which was great. Drinks a little pricey, but perhaps that's just London these days!

Unfortunately, the food and drinks were disappointing. The raspberry twist cocktail we ordered tasted more like soda than a crafted drink. The salad was uninspired, and the two pasta dishes we tried were overcooked, leading to an overall underwhelming experience. Based on this, we’ve decided not to return.

Nice experience. Starters and mains were ok, pizza was over cooked/hard, steaks were chewy, but I think the dessert was the best thing. In a party of 12 we were sat in a rather claustrophobic tunnel. And they forgot few of orders so some peoples starters came late and some peoples mains came late.

Absolutely beautiful food, service was quick, staff were nice. The atmosphere was lacking, would have been nice to have a more lively vibe with more noticeable music. Would definitely return for food if we come back to London

Pizza was crepe like, soggy base with a strange taste. Both of us ordered pizza however both came out the same. Starter was arancini which was nice and staff were attentive and friendly.

Dinner was brilliant tonight! Great customer service, honest, humble and friendly staff. We didn't feel rushed at all and no long waiting. The location was great, very close to Waterloo national rail and underground. This is an absolute must-go-to restaurant for dinner in Waterloo.

We hadden de pizza en spaghetti carbonara gehad. Pasta was heerlijk en de pizza ook oke, wel een beetje vettig. Restaurant ziet er leuk uit maar je zit wel onder een metro dus hoort na enige tijd steeds een metro gaan. Ook was de bediening erg snel. Je had je glas nog maar net leeg en het werd al weggehaald. Na 10 seconden binnen te zijn werd ook meteen de bestelling sl gedaan. Al met al goed gegeten voor een goede prijs, maar de bediening & service kan wel beter.

Die Location ist sehr schön, täuscht aber. Das Essen ist wirklich nicht gut . Die Pizza trieft vor Fett. Der Burger ist lätschig& die getränke schmecken auch nicht. Nicht zu empfehlen

Fuimos a pedir unos postres para la cena de Nochevieja (todo para llevar), y me atendieron muy bien, con paciencia para entender mi inglés 😂. Muy rápidos, contando que me lo sirvieron a las 9.00 de la noche (buen servicio, la verdad)

The pasta sauce was good though slightly too spicy even for an arrabiata (we like spicy food) however the rest of the flavours were excellent. Other than that all was great. Other plates served to adjacent tables looked delicious too.

Good Italian food efficient friendly staff

Attended today (4 days before Xmas) without a booking. The staff were so kind and accommodating. We were seated in the bar as they were busy but the atmosphere was so lovely. Warm and inviting. The food was just amazing. Our 2 year old licked her pasta bowl clean! So nice that we have booked a table for next week as we are back in the area for a show.

Not even half star On one happy evening around we stop here for a cocktail and onesty the drink for 25 pounds feel like a soft drinks...money stolen ... never come back .... thanks but no!

Booked here because it had good reviews for gluten-free food and I have coeliac disease. Initial conversation with the waitress wan't encouraging - I was told they have a small kitchen and can't guarantee no cross-contamination. Also they don't do gluten-free pizza, though the pasta dishes could be gluten-free. I ordered the lasagne, only to be told that they didn't have gluten-free lasagne, but the other pasta dishes could be served gluten-free. I ordered the spaghetti bolognese. When it arrived I double-checked with the server that it was gluten-free. She checked with the kitchen, and it wasn't! They replaced it, but with fusilli bolognese rather than spaghetti. The bolognese sauce seemed to be just mince, very un-tomatoey. Serving staff realised our experience had not been good, and gave us a limoncello each in compensation. However I can't recommend the restaurant, and woud tell anyone with coeliac disease to avoid it.

The service was okay and it was nice inside the restaurant but unfortunately the food let it down massively. The pasta was dry and lacked any depth or flavour.

Spare yourself the trouble. Food is barely ok, and the service is really bad. Not going back. My companion has a health condition and dietary requirements which he let the staff know - which they just ignored. No one seems to give a damn in this place.

We had been round the winter festival at Southbank and needed to eat. Popped in here and was pleasantly surprised. Nice atmosphere, VERY good service and prices were great. To top it all the food was excellent, we had 2 mains each with a glass of wine for under £30. Will eat here again sometime.
