Ordered from Just Eat at 3.45pm for delivery later in the evening. Food didn’t arrive so I reported it to JE. They gave a delayed delivery time which also came and went so I rang up. They promised it would be with me in five minutes and also promised they’d call back within 5 minutes after they spoke to the driver. Ten minutes later I called them again. They were very rude, saying “it’s not my fault”. When I asked then whose fault it was then because it certainly wasn’t mine they told me to get a refund from JE and slammed the phone down! By this time it was 7.30pm, my husband was needing to go to bed very soon because he starts work at 3am and he’s had no dinner after working a 12+ hour shift in a physical job! I was just scratching around in our rather empty food cupboard (Tesco food shop is coming tomorrow) to try and find something to quickly rustle up that he could eat when there was a knock on the door. Lo and behold, it was our order. The driver stood on our doorstep, begging for forgiveness and asking us not to report him because he’d get sacked. It was embarrassing to watch. Obviously by now the food was cold and almost inedible, but we didn’t really have much choice than to eat it anyway, it was disgusting!

Popped in today for fish and chips, the fish was cooked fresh in front of us, the chips were fantastic. All the staff were working hard to be covid safe! The shop was absolutely spotless. Will be using this chippy regularly from now on. 10/10!

Waited 3/4 of an hour to be served poor service only interested in home delivery service orders😭😭😭

Ive ordered at shop, over phone and online many times and have never been disappointed. Delivery DOES take a while it keep in mind they cook it fresh. Well Worth it. My Favourite dish is the Mixed Kofta and Donor kebab in Pitta with Salad and hot Turkish chilli sauce. AMAZING combo - my go to dish - sometimes get a cheeky cone of chips as-well... yum yum yum.

I popped In here yesterday lunch time for a lunchtime special of pie and chips and peas.... Mmmm it was lush... I was so. Impressed by the warm welcome and the cleanliness... The place is spotless... I wasn't expecting much as I'm really fussy when it comes to chippys but I really enjoyed it.. No that's a lie... I loved it so much so I went back again tonight and had there cod and chips and mushy peas.... The chips are top hole... Cooked to perfection slightly crisp and fluffy inside and so tasty.. And the fish well it was huge.. Thick and white with a lovely tasting crispy batter.... For years I travelled out from Coventry to The Batter of Bosworth for decent fish and chips and then found the Alderman's Green chippy and used that for years.. But I won't be wasting fuel on getting a decent chippy tea no more now Ive found The Avenue fish bar.. HONESTLY.. its worth a try if your not impressed I'd be surprised..

Been here a couple of times before, it was good. But last couple of times I've been disappointed. If you order kebab do not have the chilli sauce, its shocking. If I wanted mashed up tomatoes that resembles baby food I'd order that. Couldn't eat it as it ruined it for both myself and husband. So avenue fish bar, change your sauce and we may be back.

After using another chippie for ages , i decided it was time for a change , mainly because , the chips were getting terrible , fat was not being changed enough , and there were to many scraps in the portion , very hit and miss in consistency, however what a nice surprise i had , when i tried the food at the , newly managed avenue fish bar , not only does it have , a 5 star food hygiene rating , it serves , lovely crispy and well cooked chips , and a multitude of other , great dishes , the place is immaculately clean, and the management , and staff give you a warm hearty welcome , i will defiantly be returning , several times in , the future, safe in the knowledge , that my food will be fresh , beautifully cooked , and presented in a professional and , pleasant manner 5 stars imo .
