I paid for two lots of afternoon teas £49.50 They bring me out one afternoon teas, for me and my children. What they gave me is not worth and over priced what a rip off, I was not happy about it. Just be careful buying the afternoon teas. I met some nice customers in there. I won't be going back the third time. What a rip off. Not good at all.

Good choice on their lunch and brunch menu. The locally-sourced coffee is great, and the food was just as expected. The cakes are lovely too. The atmosphere is also quite cosy and welcoming.

Considering how quiet the place was when we visited we couldn't quite believe that our order could have been messed up so completely. The staff were friendly but that was about all we could say that was positive about this visit. We chose the venue because it said it had a WWII theme but really a couple of pictures of Spitfires on the wall does not make for a 1940s tearoom. We were only having toasites but the staff managed to get both orders wrong. We had to ask for cutlery and napkins. They even mixed our drinks up.

Our first visit was a shopping stop for tea & cake. Although busy, staff were very attentive and we enjoyed our stop. Fruit cake and blueberry & lime cake were both generous helpings and delicious. We returned for breakfast and enjoyed 4 freshly prepared meals. It’s a little spot off of the main centre but worth finding. It a quirky place with a good selection of food & drink options. Next time we’re here, we hope to book the afternoon tea, which looked delicious.

Wanting a special afternoon tea when meeting with our daughter, we chose Audrey's Tea Rooms. Several emails went back and forth confirming that they did a Christmas afternoon tea and that the cost would be £22.50 each. When we arrived at Audrey's we were told that the only thing Christmassy about the afternoon tea was a turkey and cranberry sandwich. After showing our disappointment and the emails we were told they would give us a mincepie as well. They did not know who I had corresponded with and why they said they did a Christmas afternoon tea. They do not have coffee pots or a cafetiere and so offered a mug which I accepted. Unfortunately, they did not add enough coffee to suit a mug and it was very weak with hardly any taste. My husband and daughter were given one pot of tea to share. The food was delicious - especially the cakes. However, one piece of the victoria sponge had only one half. When enquiring about this we were told that it had stuck to the tray and it was impossible to get it off. I asked if we could have something else instead and was told No! We were not offered an apology for the shortage of the cake or the fact that they do not offer a Christmas themed afternoon tea. The food was very nice - but the customer service leaves a lot to be desired - even to the point that we felt unwelcome. I would not recommend this Tea Room while the person who served us is still working there unless she receives training in customer service.

Fantastic staff . Working their socks off on a Christmas market weekend. The food was plentiful and tasty . Even though they were so busy and washing up was piling up the customers came first .

Surprised to find this little gem was under a new owner, but so glad to see that the vintage charm had been kept. Very disappointed with the service and the lack of choices on a now flimsy leaflet menu. There were 5 people in the cafe, we ordered a hot chocolate with soya milk and a pot of tea. 5 mins later we were informed they had no soya would oat milk do. The girl behind the counter did not know how to make a hot chocolate with alternative milk and had to told. This eventually arrived luke warm. The pot a tea took 15 min!! And was interrupted by another customer in the cafe wanting cake. The girl stopped making the pot of tea to serve the cake. By the time the pot of tea arrived the luke warm hot chocolate had been drunk. We were going to order food but no-one came to take our order. Instead 2 girls stood behind the counter chatting and talking about over sleeping. We left to eat elsewhere.

What a lovely little gem in Winchester! Second time I have visited and this time booked for my father-in-laws 75th birthday. When we arrived the staff were all so friendly and there was a helium birthday balloon on the table which was a lovely touch. Plus all the staff surprised us singing happy birthday with a brownie cake and candle. Again, a really lovely sentiment. Food and service perfect. Thank you for making our visit a special one.

First visit to Audrey’s and it certainly wont be the last! All the staff are very friendly, lovely atmosphere, and beautiful place settings but best of all they are dog friendly so my furry bestie could come with us she even had her own treat of a dog bone and a saucer of milk. The cake was absolutely delicious and all home made on the premises, highly recommend the Lime and Blueberry. Cant wait to visit again.

We visited Audrey’s for my 30th Birthday on Saturday, and booked in for the Beauty and the Beast afternoon tea. And I have to say, it has to be the best afternoon tea I have had! The food was absolutely amazing, the tea was lovely, as was the wine.! I won’t post too many details as it was a lovely surprise, but the table was dressed perfectly and all the fine details made it epic. The staff were absolutely amazing and went above on beyond to make it extra special for my birthday with my own balloon, and was so attentive and nothing was too much. I would 100% recommend and would go back again myself. Thank you to all the staff that really did make my day so special.

It's so nice to be able to get a proper cup of tea when you're out. This is a million miles away from some of the high street cafés that just plonk a plastic teabag in a too-large mug and send you on your way. We had a proper pot of loose leaf tea, cups and saucers, and a bit of lovely cake. Service was friendly and unfussy, and the tea was great.

Fantastic tea rooms! Good choice of excellent cakes and a good sized slice too. Plenty of tea serve in some of the largest pots I have ever seen in a tea rooms. So nice not having to ask for more hot water! The service was excellent and very friendly even though they were busy, which was not surprising (we went on a Sunday afternoon). Absolutely loved these tea rooms. Highly recommended!

Friendly and welcoming, with a good selection of food and drinks. Took the care to check if there were any allergies that needed to be catered for. Food was lovely, decor very charming, and the hosts - Ruth and Chris - were wonderful. Highly recommend.

This was a family birthday afternoon tea. The staff were very welcoming. The room was on the top floor of the building so could be difficult for some to access. The table had been decorated with flower petals, foliage and lights and wonky crockery. Very...

We thought it was good but no more. The staff were very polite and attentive. Excellent sourdough (although would of been nice to be included on a £49.95 for 3 course lunch) and cracking pigs in blankets. Cured trout was a lovely light starter. Beef fillet although accurately cooked lacked the wood fired characteristics. A fillet really doesn't have enough time to get flavour from the wood fired oven due to its size. Other larger cuts of beef with some fat would be a better choice. Accompanying veg were ok but the cauliflower cheese again lacked any of the advertised 'wood fired' flavour and cheese sauce a little thin. We also thought this recently when dining in the Avenue restaurant what a shame there are no real local sparkling wines listed. Yes Ridgeview is in Southern England but some 70 miles away. You've got excellent quality producers like Black Chalk, Hattingley Valley, Louis Pommery, Raimes, Candover Brook and The Grange all within 10 miles.

How can you mess up a Ploughman’s Lunch? Come to the D&C and see. Microwaved half baguette that went dry, crisp and stale immediately. Cheese was appalling. The worst type of cheap, tasteless, doughy cheddar. Pork pie that was missing the pork. We will not be returning.
