Food was lovely so I can’t give it a 1. However the owner needs to learn how to smile and offer polite customer service. He is so rude. Appears to hate his job. Why would you run a cafe and behave so poorly towards the customers who pay your bills?

Per many other reviews. Food is good but service is awful. A cafe is by definition a hospitality business, but the owner/s here clearly don't subscribe to that view. I popped in for a sandwich and coffee, and asked for WiFi - was told rudely by the owner they don't have WiFi as "we don't want people working here". There is no cellular signal... A cafe owner that doesn't like people is not ideal.

Came here for a quick bite at lunchtime, ordered two very good new yorker sandwiches and two Americanos. Very well prepared sandwiches and coffees and excellent value. Cooked meats are freshly sliced, good choice of sandwiches,salads and platters. Breakfast is available until 11. (They are closed on Sundays) Also excellent choice of wines to buy, along with jams chutneys,ground coffee,teas,cheeses and deli items. Will revisit Soon!

I found this delicatessen, cafe and wine shop convivial and cosy. Service was brisk and friendly. From the large selection of salads, platters, sandwiches and toasties available, I chose the New Yorker ciabatta. It's a sandwich I always enjoy but this one was particularly fresh and delicious. I had a very good coffee to go with it. Prices reasonable. A very enjoyable light lunch.

Went in for breakfast. Came out with my money back. Awful experience. My 2 year old daughter coughed once and the woman/owner accused the whole family of being infected with covid 19! She is incredibly rude and ill informed. It was a very upsetting scene as a full on argument broke out resulting in me insisting on a refund and leaving. A very miserable experience. Avoid at all costs.

Nice coffee, food and general staff. Aggressive and rude owner! What more can I say to complete my one hundred words.

Sandwiches good. Prices a little on the higher side, but made in front of you, quality high and thus I feel worth a little extra. Brownies and cupcakes also delicious! Only gripe (and directly the reason for the lower rating) is the woman in there. Possibly owner. Very sharp, borderline aggressive at times and berated her staff in front of other customers on my most recent visit this past weekend. Not professional and made me feel quite sorry for the young man on the receiving end. All other staff friendly and accommodating.

Stopped here on a bike ride. Great sandwiches and cakes. Very friendly customer service. Tables outside. Highly recommend.

I buy a baguette filled with ham and salad every week and that is my treat for the week! Good friendly service accompanies my purchase as well.

I've been here a few times before and always had a great experience. We ordered lunch (I had a Ham, Cheese and Chutney Sandwich, and my boyfriend ordered a Chicken & Bacon Panini). I then ordered a Peppermint Tea and he ordered a Hot Chocolate. Lunch was delicious, although I wished I'd gone for the panini! Service is always great here, the owner is a really nice guy. In addition to being a cafe, they also sell local produce and wine - we've sampled a few bottles of wine which have all been great. I went to a wine tasting there last year, which I believe they hold monthly, also a great afternoon out! They also have really interesting art on the walls, which we purchased one of today! I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a nice lunch or to find some great wine, and it's great that you're supporting a local business in the process.

Went to this place this morning with a lady I care for that is disabled ,we left the wheelchair outside so you could see visibly that she was .as we went to find a table we had to manouvre past some wooden racking to get to the table ,I presume he was the owner ,who was on his laptop,he saw us ,but did not offer to move hide chair to make it easier for her to get through,after our pretty average coffee I asked someone where the toilets were as my lady needed to go the girl showed me to a small door with a steep flight of stairs which only looked like an old stock room ! Clearly no disabled facilities,and clearly staff who cannot recognise a disabled person!

Very expensive. I decided to treat my mum and myself to lunch. My mum is elderly and takes a bit longer to eat. I had forgotten to get something and was going to dash off while mum finished. But the lady said "Oh no you can't leave her here" in a very rude tone. Subsequently I had to wait 20 minutes until mum had finished then take her with me in the wheelchair, get my bits only to find we'd missed our train by 5 mins. So we had to wait in the rain for an hour. I wouldn't recommend. The foods ok but not special enough to warrant the price.

Met a friend for lunch and it was excellent. Great salad, and great panini. Will be coming back soon.

Tried this place with my partner today as it looked quite classical. Ordered a two coffees and a pannini. The coffee was cold and had a orange thing floating in it that I filtered out with my mouth. The pannini had at least four short haired dog hairs or white cat hairs in it that I first noticed by feeling a hair stuck in the back of my throat. And all this fabulous experience for only £10. Would not recommend and will not be returning, I would even prefer to go to the Costa down the road.

Fantastic food, great service and friendly staff - a joy to visit. Great for nice tastes - particularly the cheese - can't recommend it enough.

Hay muchos lugares para comer en arenas, pero por coherencia woburn, hospitalidad y enfoque general, berenjena tienen lugar. El menú no es enorme, pero lo que hay siempre sabrosa, fresca y generosas porciones.

Such a friendly welcome, a great selection of freshly made sandwiches and rolls, an excellent selection of meats and cheeses - what a find!

Great selection of sandwiches and paninis, the staff are friendly too. Nice that it is a family run business, but it is sometimes a little disorganised (nothing serious). Great products on the shelves in the deli area, things you wouldn't normally find in a supermarket. Lovely little cafe to pop in for a coffee or a quick bite to eat.

This is a super little shop which enables one to have an excellent coffee and snack or meal whilst at the same time providing super goods and wines to buy.John and his team are excellent and very keen to remember what you like when one is a regular customer.It is very popular and sometimes not always somewhere to sit as the tables are all occupied but that says it all! Try it out you will not be disappointed and they also have some excellent wines to buy and has certainly led me to be a favourite of one wine from South Africa in particular. They also have regularly monthly wine tastings - enjoy!

Great deli, food served and sold with passion. Hard to find these days! Great place to have coffee and catch up with friends or find that niche ingredient you can't find anywhere else

What a nice little deli, a good selection of meats and cheeses i wish i could have lunch like this every day. Beautiful fresh ingredients. Chatty friendly staff quite good coffee too. They also carry a a generous selection of wines and very tasty food

We did a take away afternoon tea - tea and a cup cake. Had several coffees or teas and cake in the past. All fine but nothing exceptional here.

Always going out of their way to help, John and the team give service with a smile. The selection of deli items and unusual artisan products are carefully selected; hard to beat within a ten-mile radius. Recommend the wine in stock, you will always find something out of the ordinary for a week-day supper or dinner party. Cakes will have you returning every week!!

Have been a few times now and can recommend this place as a Deli and a place for a light lunch for two. Food is fresh and diverse. The Staff are friendly and know their cheese. Price feels like value for what you get, particularly the salads.The place is well kept, clean and bijoux... Petite.... Itsy. Hehe, ok I would like it if the venue was a little bigger but that's no reason to knock the score as, once sat, I have ample room and free wifi too

Went to this shop for the first time this week. Had a Ham,Brie and onion chutney sandwich, the bread was fresh and very tasty, the Brie was so rip it melted in to the ham. Best sandwich I've ever had.

We called in here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and we absolutely loved it, the sandviches were so tasty and the ingredients they were using were mostly organic and all fresh, I wish there was a cafe like this in Newcastle too..

What a brilliant deli, a selection of cheeses and Chozio i mean i wish i could have lunch here every day, beautiful fresh ingredients. wonderful friendly staff dam good coffee too.They also carry a a great selection of wines and very tasty food

Aubergine is great: a wonderful delicatessen and cafe. Great selection of cheeses and meats, and all the little extra treats to make a special meal. If you eat in, the food is great, with good coffee. John, Jill and their staff are friendly, welcoming and really care about the food and drink they serve. The wine selection is excellent - I've bought many, and every one has been great. If you're not quite sure what you want, they can help with excellent suggestions.
