Without doubt best chip shop in Leicester.. I've lived in all areas across the county, and by far Atlantis is the best chip shop I've came across.. use here on a regular, the hygiene is second to none, by far the cleanest takeaway you find.. the meat is always fresh and the chips are the best I've came across.. The staff are very welcoming and highly professional, even in a long queue at busy nights, the staff organise everything perfectly, the best chip shop in Leicester for food and staff.. please ignore any negative reviews, as the people making these false reviews are friends or family of the opposite horror show chip shop, who reheats meat, and serves frozen chips, so ignore people quoting the "opposite chop shop" it's a poorly maintained premises who serves freezer food

Visited Atlantis Fish Bar upon my recent visit back to the UK. In Canada, we don't get doner kebabs, so I was really craving a proper doner. Atlantis didn't disappoint!! All of the kebab meats were top notch!! The sauces were also amazing! Especially the house tzatziki. Chips were also spot on. Next time I'm back in the UK, I will definitely be visiting. I also recommend anyone who wants a decent kebab and chips to come here

Been here a couple of time by means of recommendation and it's been the best recommendation thus far..Food is fresh and clean, not greasy or old. The flavours of the cod and the selection of meats are amazing...well done

Expensive £46.00 for 4 meals. Large kebab was soggy, missing salad and drenched in sour chilli sauce, missed chips from the order and considering its a chippy its a bit of a problem as chips tend to make up up the majority of your meal from a Chip Shop!!!

This is a FANTASTIC business & the best chip shop I have used. They are very welcoming & everything is catered for. Children, wheelchair users, etc - all are taken care of. The place is so clean & it's always busy, so, sometimes you have to wait, but that can't be helped. Really can't fault them for that as they are popular. The food is fresh & tastes georgeous! (I've treated people, who I have employed to do jobs for me), who enjoyed & commented on how good they are & you get very generous proportions. The manager is SO kind hearted. I witnessed him, in the past, give a free meal to someone who had no money. This company needs more than 5 stars.

Went in for my Friday night take out and have to say it’s the worst choice I made…old chips and the thickest batter on the fish that was not edible at all…stay away is what I say

Avoid....Avoid....Avoid Staff are all over the place, had me Standing there, then to tell me they do not have any fish lol. Your a fish and chips restaurant. Its a circus......no customer service at all, can't look you in the eye.....Go to the chippy across the road loads of fish there, and trust me staff are amazing. The poor lady in front me, they forgot to pack her "Fish" the staff looked like school kids.

Check your food people found long light long hairs in the food order we ordered tonight and phoned the the store and the manager just said doubt it waste of £14 ever so will take back in tomorrow

A first visit, but won't be returning. Fish was tasty but only just warm, sausage similar. Batter on fish was soggy.

Okay chips, but they are seriously lacking in meaningful vegan options on the menu. There need to be a range of plant-based options.

It's my local fish and chips shop the staff are amazing very clean and love the portion sizes. They now have introduced new dishes . Cant wait to try them I would highly recommend it.

Foods always great and service is fantastic.

The taste is very plain and boring, the portions are small for the price, the chips are just abnormal for a chip shop. You can expect it to be busy because it is overrated. It okay for last min decision or passing by but otherwise there are better choices in Leicester won't name them for fairness as Atlantis ain't bad.

Food is always fantastic Staff are very pleasant and polite

Service is always great for me, I do have to wait for 5 mins because I usually order roe which has to be cooked fresh, I'm told when I get to the counter so have no problems with this. I will also point out that the place is remarkably clean, just look around you while your waiting.

I do like the food from here and it’s the best fish and chips we have had in Leicester! I just wish staff taking and making orders would pay more attention! Our last two orders were wrong and you can’t really check in in the shop. We had ordered gravy and hot home to find we had got curry sauce. We ordered a tray mix which was just chips and peas and not as pictured on the advertisement in the window! It’s a key part of shopping for food that you get you order! There’s not much you can do when you get home to find it’s wrong as it’s too far to go back with the rest going cold. Maybe just a training issue and a polite request for staff to pay more attention.

Kebab was pretty gross… Chips were fine though. Very expensive on uber eats.

Ah, this place probably serves the best fish and chips I've had in decades in UK. Very clean and impressed that no skin left on fish, my wife's particular irritant with English chippies. Also happy that fish and chips cooked from scratch rather than sitting around in a heater as seems common in England

Very bad service & the excuse was that they were busy so the could not do the full order. Never will order from this place. Lady I spoke to was rude too

This is one of our favourite places in Leicestershire for fish 🐟 and chips 🍟, I've noticed that the prices are up somewhat but I get it because of the cost of living wages and energy bills and the cost of everything is going up and up and running a business is all about making it profitable. Good food never had any complaints about the place... the Donner meat is beaut

Used to be the best chippy but as gone down hill always get my order wrong and when you complain all they say is sorry about that and that there is note they can do as I ordered with Uber eats and that they will give me something free next time but they been saying that 6 months and have never gave me anything for free or sorted out my order when they made the mistake I ordered chips and beef and onion pie today and they gave me chicken and mushroom pie did think it was weird as I ordered and 10 minutes later the food arrived so they obviously rushed the order once again so please avoid this chippy!!

Great service superb food at the right price

A shame Atlantis Fish Bar has gone so downhill. Go often, went again Monday evening, went at 8:20pm. Ordered a mini fish and chips, potato fritter and mushrooms. I did not realise they close at 8:30pm, if I had known I would get fish that was left there for ages I would not have ordered. Was soggy, not hot and not that nice as usual. The fritter was fried in a rush, so potato was still completely hard and not edible, had to throw it away, mushrooms were not great. Would not recommend and will not be going back. A shame as used to be real nice before!

Hello, nice chip shop in a busy area, parking can be a problem as there is no car park and a lot of other shops very close by. The chips are nice and so are the kebabs, the shops always clean and the staff are friendly, it can be really busy some times with long ques out the door but they clear quite quickly as there are many serving stations inside, well worth a visit if your in the area👍

Brought chips and 3 pies. Pie's can't complain but the chips were awful everytime eat the chips I felt like grit on my teeth. I phoned but no one picked up very disappointed.

Fish and chips are good, it’s a shame you can’t pre-order and collect almost defeats the purpose of a phone line and someone answering! I have called a few times and found their phone manors to be poor and somewhat rude - and on both instances I have gone to cod father in Hamilton who are actually nice on the phone and to deal with!

They're always busy, so food is always fresh. The only bad thing I would say is you can wait for ages on occasion.
