Chips were alright, a little under cooked for my liking, but I’d have them again. Not the most customer service driven place, but want horrible! I just remember when customers were greeted and smiled at

Had a lovely piece of fish, freshly cooked on ordering, chips were also nice. Just struggled a bit to get to the place not knowing the area.

Excellent value food, and they coped well with a large order. A very enjoyable takeaway lunch.

When deal with Atlantic and they say what would you like to order just reply "surprise me" you never get what you order, the past 4 deliverys have had something wrong or something missing, we will be taking our business elsewhere, I'm extremely disappointed! Makes mealtime an unhappy time

I'm very ashamed. Always loved this place and even told other people to go here. And because you guys didn't make sure your drives knew the area well. Or what side of the road to drive on! He crashed into my boyfriends car coz he was on the wrong side of the road. And didn't want to pay for the damage he did to our car. And told his insurance that he wasn't at fault.... and now we have a bashed up car. That he was gonna use to start his job this week. Idc if he isn't working there anymore. It still happened on your shift time... its not an expensive fix. We are homeless. Trying to get our life back on track. And if your driver doesn't pay to get it fixed. Coz he said he works at his uncles place. I think the decent thing to do it pay for a new bumper and hood. I also have a very big following on social media. And I don't mind sharing my experience with your driver to my followers. And ill be making my way to in store if I don't hear from you.......

Ordered 3 times from here as recently moved to the area.. Every time i get 2 large cod and chips from deal 6 for £14 and they always charge me sperate for them so it comes to £18 instead... Wont be ordering again as they have done it 3 times now.

Was travelling through and thought we would stop for some fresh fish and chips. Ordered rock and chips as it’s hard to find but was very dissatisfied. Fish was not fresh, very smelly and staff miserable.

We had a deilevery as many times b4.unfortunately this time it fell short of usual high quality.chips were unusually hard.and batter on dads plaice way to thick.spoilt quality of fish.very unusual hopefully rectified back to high standard next time.with batter not so thick.and chips not as hard.just little disappointed this time

Hard to write this as we have mixed feelings,ordered online and was all tkaen politely and quickly,free delivery to the caravan park,but when we opened it as wa lovely frsh cooked bit of fish and then we found the chips flat and soggy underneath,was meant to be a large portion but literally filled a small bowl and even less after taking all the black chips out,seen a few similar reviews so wonder if they do this to people on the site on holidays and they probably like us didnt have time to take back etc, such a sjame as locals recommended it but we were sorely dissapointed

I ordered online through just eat and was robbed by the fish n chip bar the food is excellent please don’t order online as you will end up like me out of pocket for an incomplete order no use saying you never received some of your food as all you get is abuse.

Quite possibly the best Fish & Chips in Lowestoft. Just polished off a Medium Cod & Chips, great tasting crispy, well cooked Cod & Non-Greasy Chips. 100% will order again, excellent Chip shop

We ordered from just eat at 21:10 and the restaurant ignored and didn t confirmed it probably because they weren t in the mood of cooking anymore as they are closing at 21:30.Very rude and dissapointing, at least change your just eat program.

If you place an order for delivery, and you want cold chips, this is the place to order them.when I phoned up to complain, got told to put them in the microwave. Not a happy man.

We were recommended to this chippy by a local resident, and I have to say, this is now our permanent first choice Fish and Chip Shop whenever we come back here, which is about 6 times a year. The staff are all very friendly, very helpful and the food is delicious. What more can you ask for?

I visited this place on 27th October 2021, the service was absolutely appalling very rude staff who did not seem to understand a very simple question regarding the oil they use for cooking. the quality of the food was very disappointing the fish was soaked in oil and under the batter the fish still had the skin on. Disgusting !! and to top it all they charge £1 for a small sachet of ketchup. Vile service and poor food quality. please think before visiting this place.

Phoned and placed order, picked up 10 mins later, fish was good, plenty of chips, but saveloy and battered sausage were just warm.

in pakefield on half term break...cannot fault the food and quantity was amazing. had it delivered and arrived on time and very hot. we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and service,from the phone order to the delivery driver,great service.

Always order from here. Freash white fish. Tonight the owner dropped my order off as 6 drivers wernt enough to cover demand. Great price for the best fish. I wont buy elsewhere. 😁😁😁

Sadly had to edit my review. Usually Atlantic are brilliant, VERY friendly and lovely owners - cannot fault their customer service however several times now we've ordered food here the chips have been under done and the last batch had to be thrown. We've passed on some feedback, but sadly it's not changed yet - hoping they can ensure this is sorted as they're one of the best chippys in the area on a good day!

Food was excellent as usual. My shark steak was amazing. The roast chicken and chips with gravy was lovely but gravy could've been separate as was very thick sitting on the chips.

Not sure what previous reviews are about. 2nd time eating from here and yet again this is without a doubt the best in the area. This time through just eat and without any issues. Keep it guys

Probably the best fish in lowestoft.

Ordered dinner at 7pm from our regular chippy Estimated between 7:30-7:50 On its way at 7:40 Text from just eat at 8:15 saying its been cancelled Phoned the chippy and said what's going on? "Our fryer has broken down" Well if your fryer has broken down why was the order on its way at 7:40? "Because your order was past the time it got updated to on its way" That's not how just eat machines work, you need to press a button to say its on its way so somebody pressed the button "Yes I pressed the button" Then why, 35 minutes later, has the order been cancelled with no communication? "I'm communicating with you now" You're only communicating because I've had to phone and complain "There's nothing I can do about it" Well we won't be using you again "That's fine" Disgusting customer service, such a shame as the food and delivery has always been excellent in the past.

OK, so, the first time had a bad experience with delivery time but Hey! It was a Monday evening so expect not overly busy. Ordered 20:33 and expected 21:28 however had to ring the restaurant twice to find out where my order was / is. Second call was made after shop had officially closed (21:45) so not happy at all.Turned up at 22:17.

Superb food, great drivers, great value for money as portions are huge. Friendly delivery drivers. Perfect.

First time here. Had a takeaway. Very generous portions and very good value for money. However masks were not correctly worn by some staff. I would recommend for the food.

Ordered lunch for us and the kids, waited and waited. Phoned to check if they had the address okay and got shouted at. Was told 5 minutes, 15 minutes passes. Phone again, was told 1 or 2 minutes. Then order cancelled by the restaurant . Very hungry and sad children. Never again and ordered from a competitor.

I only came here once and never again. If I could give 0 stars I would. Bought chips, they had clearly been refried and refried numerous times. They were dry and all of them were really crispy and tasted of old oil. They were so disgusting I couldn't eat them and had to throw them away. I tried to offer one to my dog, he loves food and normally eats anything in front of him but even he turned his nose up!

This would get 5 stars. The food is good and the prices are better then most others. The problem I had was when had to talk to someone there they were very rude. The people in background seem very good and it would be much better for your business if he didn't answer the phone. The other thing is the spring rolls did not look nice so put in bin.

Food I've not had a problem with. Till this time, I ordered online for a delivery as normal. Didn't arrive so phoned the bloke was very rude and disrespectful. I could hear people in background saying get address we deliver now. But he was just having ago at me. Finely he gave in and we got our food, which was ok not their usual standard. I thought I'd try the spring roll and I'm sorry but that looked disgusting and I wouldn't even feed it to my dog.

Ordered from here through Just Eat. Food never arrived despite saying delivered. Rang the restaurant to see what had happened. No apology and I was accused of lying about receiving the food. Went round in circles with the chap on the phone who was so rude and in the end he said it wasn't their problem and to ring the Police!!!! shocking service. They promised to resend the food when I said I would record the call due to how disrespectful they were being. This also never turned up. Address 100% correct and clearly their mistake which they refused to accept. Really disappointing and appalling to be told I am lying word for word. All of this for £12.00 worth of fish and chips. Avoid I am afraid.

I’m absolutely speechless about some of the previous reviews? Although in fairness, I can only review on what I’ve seen and eaten. Both myself and my large immediately family living mostly within the Waveney County have been ordering From the Atlantic Fish Bar for the past 4 years. Between the 6 families and a rental cottage, we can only give 5 stars in all areas (phone service, Delivery time and food quality ). Out of a few hundred deliveries, I’ve only eaten one that wasn’t 110%, saying that, the poor one was 90%., but we all have bad days/delivery issues From what I perceive, the owner and his team of fryers, phone operatives and delivery people, deliver a 6 star service. Please give these guys a try and prove me wrong. Thank you Mr/Ms Atlantic fish Bar, your food is outstanding, and considering I’m a Food and Restaurant Consultant/Menu Development chef, you do an awesome job, and I could possibly learn from you. Small child running around the counter was worrying, also being allowed to stand outside near the main road. No hair nets or masks worn from young woman, who was basically left to look after kid. I dread to think what will happen when the hot oil or burger grill burns him. ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN. I have reported to council.

Would give 0 if I could. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Food arrived over 2 hours later after ordering when originally was told 35-40 minutes then after ringing up they say it won't be long then ring up later on to be told 10 minutes then half an hour later still nothing so 2 hours after originally ordering we ring again to which they start arguing in the background and hang up on us. Further 10 minutes and it finally arrives swimming in grease and the driver told us he had only just left the shop. Full of lies and terrible customer service. Never ever would I use them again

This was really not great. We were in Lowestoft on a Sunday afternoon and most of the town seemed to be closed. We thought we'd get some chips as a snack from here. At the time we were surprised that they were almost cold - but having read the reviews on here, it seems to be a fairly regular occurrence. With cold chips, it is a mistake to ask for cheesy chips. They dumped an insane amount of grated cheese on top of them, but of course it didn't melt as the chips had presumably been sitting in the fryer for ages before we bought them. Finally, when trying to pay - they said their card machine wasn't working, so we had to find cash.

Give plenty of chips to their customers, good value for money

Visited for a lunch as I was passing to other shops on High Street. Shop looks dirty, which should have been a big no from the start. Staff look like they need a scrub too, which isn't very appealing. But I was hungry so chips and a pie it was. Chips were so over cooked and rock solid, with a taste of old oil, pie looked like it had been related several times and although was piping hot, seemed like it'd been there a while. I didn't try anything else, so can't comment on those items. There is an obvious language barrier between staff and customers as I nearly had the wrong order until I mentioned it. Staff seem happy talking in their language whilst you stand there, they could be saying anything which is alarming. Drinks are stacked in window which looks unsightly, but the most worrying thing was the small child being allowed to run around the shop, even behind the counter when hot oil and grills are open. It's an accident waiting to happen and the staff are left to babysit this poor boy. Shop overall needs a deep clean and staff need basic hygiene explained. If I visit this area again, I won't be back, that's for sure.

We had cod & chips, and how disappointing it was. Cod was soggy and frozen, chips were overcooked and rock hard. The amount of grease was shocking. Staff are miserable in the shop and it looks grotty and dirty - in hindsight, that should have been a warning sign. Staff's shirts were also very dirty and behind the counter, drinks are just stacked up in the window. There was also a small child running around, which is a big hazard, especially with hot oil and grills open, it is an accident waiting to happen. Also, delivery drivers were behind the counter cooking burgers and serving chips, its very worrying to think anyone can cook something in this establishment.

You order, it doesn't arrive, so you call to chase it and get verbal abuse, so you get your money back through just eat and they ring you abusing you again and as you leave a bad review they send two men to your door to shout at you. We had to call the police over this herrassment. Avoid them !! Nasty! Rude! And very scary to have men turn up shouting.

Fish looked great at first but tasted of old fat which is a shame. Price not bad but still disappointing. Would not go again.

Ordered food at 5pm nothing arrived by 7pm when I telephoned to ask where my order was they said they’d check what had happened to it then hung up, I’d already paid by card so have obviously lost that money. DO NOT USE THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY BUT DON’T DELIVER THE FOOD!

Really upset about my experience here, hated every minute of it, Terrible food, made a polite complaint but wish I hadn't as I got shouted at. Will never use these again.

I have used this fish since it opened it is either under new management or the owner has lost the will to make money I suspect from reviews I have read tonight that they have a new female manager who couldn't care less tonight I order a meal at 6.37pm their ordering site said average wait 45 minutes I then received an email from them to say my order would be here at 7.28pm when it had not arrived at 7.45pm I began a very long process of trying to contact them when I asked where my order was I was told it had not left the shop and I would receive it at8. 45pm 30 minutes after I had managed to get an answer at 9pm I again tried contacting them again the phone was picked up and put straight down then engaged I eventually got an answer at 9.30pm again I asked about my order the man who answered didn't know anything then I heard a female voice and he told me the order had been cancelled by the manager I insisted on speaking to this foreign sounding woman who I could not underhand when spoke she spoke over me I asked why I had not been informed that she had taken it upon herself to cancel the order when I had I wanted it this female was rude and sounded as if she thought that she was better than me. I am a 60 year old Registered Nurse Who has had to retire due serve back issues from my 32 year career and am now considered disabled I would much rather be helping my past colleagues at this Time of Crisis than being in lock down I have been verbally and physically abused by patients and relatives then when I think it would be nice to have a day off from cooking I get lied to about my order they had obviously put it down and then put other orders on top as it can't have been cooked after 95 minutes. I would suggest that the Owner reviews this situation as I have found reviews going back further than two months giving bad reviews and most mention having spoken to a woman. I despair for now shops and restaurants and takeaway have no respect for customers don't understand customer service I volunteer at a charity shop and uphold the values my father a successful shop manager taught me and I have customers stopping me in the street to talk that's what Good Customer Service and Relations gets you

We are regular customers at this takeaway but the small this evening was not so good .my husband had a couple of sausages and one was rock hard .totally inedible also the chips were very undercooked and hard .my burger was ok but not as good as usual.very disappointed as we use this place most weeks .Will probably give it a miss for a little while .

I have no idea how this place got a 5* food hygiene rating after what I saw earlier this evening. Uncovered raw meat products in a disorganised looking kitchen/food prep area. I certainly won't be going back here again!

Lovely fish why pay just eat 2.50 extra, when you can order direct and get exactly the same food and service.

My favourite fish and chip shop! Huge portions, friendly staff and it is delicious. Atlantic is on the Just Eat App but also has their own which has no delivery charge added on I believe. Check it out. Jacket potatoes, pies, Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream, delivered or go and collect or eat in.

We had our fish and chips delivered. They came at the time requested.The Haddock my husband and I had was delicious and beautifully cooked. It came piping hot, as were the chips which again were very well cooked. The fish was so big it hung over the side of the plates. Would thoroughly recommed this fish bar.
