My husband and I had been to the school Rooms 2years ago and were pleasantly surprised at the exquisite refurbishment. The ambience in the restaurant was lovely, the food was great and the service was on point! Definately coming back…

We enjoyed our Sunday lunch but only having a choice of two meats was disappointing. The food was lovely ( and lots of it ). Plenty of cocktails and we sampled quite a few. Starters and desserts were also limited in choice but were delicious. What we had was fantastic but more choice please ( which you certainly have on your usual menu )

A busy Saturday night but service great. Simple menu;difficult to choose, as I fancied most dishes! We had three courses, all food was delicious and good portion size. Much enjoyed. Thank you. Will recommend and return.

Visited this place with my boyfriend on Saturday night and had a wonderful evening. Kicked off the night with cocktails on the outside terrace. It was SO hard to choose from their menu as we wanted to try them all but ended up with Amaretto Sours and Aperol Spritz, both sooo good. Went upstairs for food and ended up having three courses as the food was just so good! Started with French onion soup and king prawns, then had the lamb rump and asian style salmon, followed by espresso martini cheesecake and brownie. Luckily we shared everything so I didn't have to choose and it was honestly the best meal we've had out all year! Would recommend to anyone looking for an amazing dinner experience in Sheffield. Nice drive out to Bradfield too!

The place is really lovely, the staff were really friendly, the atmosphere was really lovely too, busy and up beat. The food showed great promise..... MY husband loved his and he is the fussiest of us... Walking up the driveway there was a whiff of dirty chip fat... We did think about turning around and going somewhere else but I'd seen the reviews and wanted to try..... My husbands tuna toastie was amazing with a lovely little side salad.... I ordered sourdough, avocado, haloumi and spinach and that's where it went a bit wrong. The toast and avo were really lovely and fresh but the spinach and haloumi must have been fried/sauteed in the oil we smelled on our way up the drive... I ate a few mouthfuls before giving up and scraping off the spinach and haloumi (half the dish)..... It was such a shame as I really wanted to like this place...... The staff were friendly and the place was clean and had a really nice vibe... may try again but have a toastie instead

What a great place! We were staying nearby and the owners recommended this place for Sunday lunch. Had the best veggie roast we’ve had in years! Decor was lovely, ambiance was great and the staff were friendly. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Hope we get to return!

We visited here for a Sunday lunch after a walk around the reservoir. The food and wine were really good and very reasonably priced, but the service did let it down (hence the 4 stars). We waited around 15/20 minutes for our initial drinks. In the end, we ended up asking 3 different people for our water (and even after this, they brought sparkling instead of still!!). The starter came out really quick, we got these immediately after our drinks. However the gap between starter and main was soo long!! By the time the main course had arrived we had pretty much finished our bottle of wine!! We didn't bother with dessert as we were out of wine and didn't fancy a long wait for it. The staff were always busy, i think there were just not enough of them!! We would visit again as the food was good, and hopefully the bad service was just a case of being short staffed on that particular day!!

I have been to The Assembly Rooms on several occasions. Several, no many times with family for drinks. Most recently I went with friends for lunch. A beautifully refurbished restaurant, in the beautiful surroundings of Lower Bradfield, South Yorkshire. The food is exceptional with generous portions. With out fail, all the staff are efficient, heplful & very friendly.

First time eating here although had been to the The Schoolrooms Cafe in the past. It was really amazing. Totally refurbished in impeccable taste with bar area and dining areas in small rooms on different floors. Lovely atmosphere on arrival as drive and patio lined with lights . We had the set menu , most of the dishes were on the á la carte and it was all delicious . The pricing is very reasonable , especially the wine and the serving staff were so lovely . A really enjoyable evening and would definitely go again . A great find just on the outskirts of Sheffield in a beautiful little village

First visit with Family, polite and friendly welcome, food came very quickly but obviously freshly cooked. All 4 in our group opted for Fish and chips and all were excellent. Probably not the cheapest around but I doubt you will get better. You will not regret going.

I had such a lovely evening trying this new Bar & Bistro in the beautiful location of Bradfield. The food was absolutely delicious. I had 3 courses and shared everything with a friend. To start we had the Yorkie and Sautéed Creamed Mushrooms. For main we had the Pan Fried Sea Bass and Burger. Finally, finishing with the Cherry Bakewell Pudding and Chocolate Molten Cake. I can’t wait to go back again and try everything else off the menu. The bar area is beautiful with such lovely decor and the staff were amazing from start to finish. The place has such a nice atmosphere and I will definitely be visiting again.

The schoolrooms bistro is a lovely addition to this stunning location in rural sheffield. The decor in the bistro / cafe is clean, crisp and modern. We were in couples and also with our children. The children left with empty plates and us couples had a 3 course meal. The food was upto very high standards and was of the correct portions sizes. We look forward to our next visit.

Visited with family and friends this brand new bar and evening bistro just opened April 2023, it is an expansion of the long standing cafe, The Schoolrooms which is located next door in the same old converted Victorian school building. We had a few drinks first in the gorgeously decorated bar downstairs (there’s a cocktail Menu, local ale, beers and lagers on tap and a huge wine list). Then went upstairs for a three course meal in one of the two stunning dining rooms. The food was generous portions, and everyone in our table said it was deliciously tasty. Party enjoyed a few different starters like spiced root vegetable soup, smoked salmon, chicken liver pate. Mains on the table were Bradfield brewery fish and chips, steak and ale pie, sirloin steak, sea bass. Desserts were sticky toffee pudding with vanilla, Pannacotta and a cherry Bakewell pudding which was so tasty. Will definitely be back for more! Hidden gem among the locals due to the fact that it’s brand new but won’t stay that way for long I am guessing.

A great new place in a beautiful village and Peak District location. Staff were very attentive, food was very nice and was of the right amount. I had the steak pie which was delicious. Nice minty mushy peas !! Don’t want too many people to know seen as it is so local.

Visited Nura mid morning and sampled a savoury croissant and Jordanian date tart accompanied with a mulled wine tea - heavenly! Great value for money but more than that, the atmosphere and cultural vibe created somewhere different than the standard norm of regular high street chains. A dresser full of blended teas are their specialty, put together by the friendly staff on site. The upstairs cosy seating area offers a great space for community events or quiet study. Loved it!

I attended Remos for my birthday with a couple of friends. I am gluten intolerant so have a gluten free diet. The front of the menu stated gluten free options available. I had the gluten free eggs royale and a latte with honeycomb syrup. After leaving I started to experience symptoms that I had eaten gluten. I rang the next day as by the time I thought to ring they had closed and I enquired if the syrup had contained gluten as I had forgotten to ask. The staff checked and confirmed it did not have gluten but I thought to also ask about the hollandaise sauce, they spoke to the chef and said it was gluten free however read out the ingredients to me and said it did not contain gluten free and the only allergen was barley. I explained that barley was gluten along with wheat and rye. I said I was lucky as I am not celiac so will just be unwell for a couple of days and get over it but it could’ve been a lot more serious. This was concerning as it was the chef who read out the ingredients. They apologised but did nothing further to rectify the situation. I am very disappointed as this had been one of my favourite brunch spots.
