Nice place to rest, why waiting for your flight service a little slow food was cold but plenty of hot drinks

Only one small drink allowed at any one time, an extra £2 if requesting pink gin as opposed to plain gin (both Gordons). Had cheese and crackers as other choice was a chicken curry and wedges. Not the greatest lounge we've ever been in tbh.

Omg!! The absolute worst!! I have never paid to sit in an airport lounge that resembles a dirty school cafeteria so much. Loads of little kids running around, food on the floors, kids grabbing food by their hands, and the noise was unbearable. People ramming food in their mouths like they have never been fed. It was small, cramped and there was not escaping the ear piercing cries of kids not getting their own way. There needs to be an adult only airport lounge! Do not waste your money or sanity!!

After queuing outside for quite a while we were already half an hour into our booked 2 hours before we were seated. There was only bacon and a cold pasta salad out for service at this time, it was 1.15pm. We just got coffee and and a drink from the bar, which we were limited to one beer choice or the cheapest of spirits and on tap soft drinks. Eventually more food came out, this was a curry of sorts and rice and chips. The dishes this came out in were that small that once 3 people had filled their plates the food was gone. I’ve used other airport lounges before and always had a good experience. This was awful. The poor lady on the front desk looked completely frazzled trying to please everyone, she was having to double people up on tables. There is also no toilet within the lounge so you have to walk past the queue going out and then past the grunts of suspected pushing in on your way back in. I wouldn’t pay for this lounge again. It is not worth the money.

Really disappointed with this venue at Liverpool airport, not a patch on the escape lounge at Manchester, the food is cheap and only just ok choice is very limited, soup bland and cold, no way this is £42 a head £15 would be pushing it, will never come in here again, very cafeteria like, not a good experience, it seems they have done everything on the cheap to maximise their profits, over heard at the food counter a couple discussing how poor it was, and I fully agreed, if you feel you can offer me a partial refund then that would be good, bar good but I don’t drink☹️

Despite having a valid PriorityPass card, we were not allowed to enter the lounge. The reason given was that the lounge was full. We saw that there were about 25% of empty seats in the lounge. We were given to understand that if we did not pay the reservation fee, there would be no place for us. And anyway, as we were told - they were closing in two hours, so in their opinion it was not worth it for us to enter.

If you desperately want a lounge, book direct, they reserve the right to refuse entry for all third party bookings. Grudgingly let in, but in retrospect would have happily been turned away. Food was dire, pre cooked diced chicken with a pour on curry sauce or pasta again with a sugar filled pour on tomato based sauce. Cold food little better and one choice for pudding, chocolate mini muffins. For drinks anything other than Bacardi, Bells, Smirnoff, Gordon's or an unknown brandy was 'premium' and extra. All mixers come out of a pump, not bottles. Toilets are outside in main area, about as far away as they could get them. Unless you expect to get well oiled first to numb your taste buds, choose a bar elsewhere and just take your time over 2 or 3 drinks and a snack.

AVOID!!!! Lady on reception absolutely useless, she did not have any idea what she was doing. Presented our passes only to be told that they were going to be busy despite lounge being less than a quarter full. Lots of shuffling of papers and tutting, she told us to return in half an hour and we could access. Returned as requested after half an hour, lady still clueless, asked how many in our party which she could see and hadn't changed from half an hour earlier. Lounge still less than a quarter full, seats were empty all the time we were waiting outside. More huffing, puffing, tutting and shaking her head, shuffling of papers and still no entry. No apology, no entry and a bad attitude, we gave up trying in the end.

We usually like to go the lounge wherever we are travelling from. On this occasion, it was from Liverpool John Lennon Airport. The food and drinks selection was excellent. The thing that made this lounge stand out however, wasn’t food and drinks. That was purely down to the staff. In particular Louise and Paula. Louise gave us (and everyone who came in) such a lovely warm welcome. Likewise Paula, who was lovely. Both were so nice to my little girl - nothing was too much trouble for either! Every airport lounge should have a Louise and Paula. It was a lovely start to our holiday!

This lounge is awful, I wouldnt waste my money. There was no food when we arrived, and when I asked the staff the lady who worked there bit my head off. Unlike Escape Lounge we had to pay for most of our drinks still, so it was a waste of money. When the food was brought out it was gone within minutes as everyone had waited for atleast half hour for it already. There was also no knives in the cutleryɓ and when I approached staff again I got a cup with metal knives plonked infront of me with more attitude from the staff saying "We're short staffed here you know. I tried to speak with the staff to which I was told "youre paying for your seat, everything else is extra and you can leave if you want to" to which I couldnt believe they were speaking to me like this and told them I would be making a complaint. The whole experience was horrible and I felt the staff were aggressive, not something you want at the start of your holiday. Will never use Aspire again! Escape lounge on the other hand is amazing!

Upon our arrival a woman with a rotweiller face was waiting for us. Before saying good afternoon he told us if we had made the pre-reservation (payment with extra supplement $$$). We told her no and the problems began (there was no space, the card was not valid...) until a few minutes later we got a table in the place she indicated to us, not where we wanted. There was no food at the buffet, there were leftovers. Leftover curry, leftover bread, leftover nachos and some leftover salad. All of dubious quality. There are no sweet options beyond a dried out blueberry muffin, which has been there since last week. When it comes to fruit options… you could choose between more leftovers or a rotten apple!! There was a moment when they went to replenish the curry, and the entire room ran out to guarantee themselves a spoonful. It seemed like the hunger games. The drink, all flat, hot and of poor quality. If you want a cocktail you have to pay for it separately, as if it were not enough to pay for access to the room. For various reasons, I know many VIP rooms and I can say that it is the worst I have ever been in! What a shame! The staff is quite unfriendly and rude, it seems like they are doing you a favor, and sparing your life.

Absolutely horrific, they use side plates as main plates so you can't fit any breakfast on them. Then we have the drinks, if like anything like a named cider you have to pay, pink gin for wife you have to pay, basically anything that tastes nice you have to pay. The spirits are spilt into two sections, cheap rubbish to the right is free/part of the deal. Anything nice is to the left and you have to pay. Been using aspire for years at LIV/MAN, never ever again, an absolute rip off. I fly again in a couple of weeks to Turkey, I'll be reading the escape lounge reviews before booking, hopefully they haven't gone the same way as aspire. I've done many reviews on Google and never hammered a company as much as this but I feel I have too. DO NOT BOOK ITS NOW A TOTAL RIP OFF.

What a waste of money and definitely didn't get even half our moneys worth. The hot food selection for breakfast was disgusting, scrambled egg tasted weird as well as the sausages and bacon was extremely dry. Hardly any fruit and the pastry was only croissants, some bland cereals and only strawberry yogurts. It offers alcoholic drinks as part of it but yet the spirits, cider and prosecco you have to pay for.. champagne I understand. But it left us with only beer to drink which I don't drink anyway so I actually couldn't have a drink! It was waaay too hot in there so we had to leave the lounge early.

I've used this lounge on previous occasions and found it to be good value, if not the best lounge around. This time though was rubbish and I won't book it again. This visit was pre school holidays, on a Thurs aft. I contacted the lounge before booking, as previously they have price matched other suppliers (who offer blue light discount) and I've booked direct. I had an email asking me to provide screenshots of the cheaper price, which I sent but got no response despite chasing a couple of times. I decided to book with the other supplier, Lounge Pass, and had a confirmation voucher, but on arrival I was told I had no booking. The gentleman serving explained that they have a known problem with Lounge Pass as they don't receive the booking confirmation details and that they were full but would see what they could do. After speaking with the manager, we were allowed in but it did feel as though we were an inconvenience. This time the lounge was packed, with lots of kids running about and sweary parents. One of the adults even picked his nose, looked at his findings and then wiped it on the carpet! We travelled with our older teen who has been visiting lounges since they were small but we never let them run around like this, feet up on the chairs and helping themselves. Food was poor. The usual chickpea curry or chilli with some scraps of rice. The salad bar was practically empty and as the kids had run wild with it everything was mixed together. Last time we came there was a small selection of cakes and scones but this time just a few blueberry muffins. Drinks were fine, and the lady behind the bar was lovely and friendly. She made up for the poor quality elsewhere. There were two other staff members on the floor, but one disappeared for a while presumably for their break, and the other was then run ragged and couldn't crack a smile. For the price, even with a small discount, it just wasn't worth the money. I won't book it again, and instead I'll take my chances on sitting outside in the terminal instead.

So thanks to the honest people on here giving the early heads up, I would rather stay in the terminal and use the refund voucher at Manchester later in the year. Looks like Apire Liverpool needs to step up and start providing a quality service and not rip people off. Im sorry to read bad experiences and only wished I read them prior to booking, not the night before attending. Liverpool Aspire, you should be ashamed of all these negative reviews and rather than replying you will feed back, you should implement changes and provide a quality service all the time.

Before I started to write this review I looked at all the other reviews. They pretty much summed up my thoughts. This is only a lounge in name only, it is not value for money but it does have friendly staff. I booked as part of the parking package and was looking forward to sitting a relaxing in the lounge prior to my flight. I have been to many lounges and this one should not call itself a lounge (in the typical sense). First thing is there are no toilets in the lounge, you have to use the public ones a fair walk away. It was quite a small space and I was lucky it wasn't busy but it from others experience when it's full it's uncomfortable. This isn't help by the temperature of the place, it was hot, clearly the air con wasn't running. This made it not very relaxing. Hence the two score. There was ample WiFi and the food, although very limited was tasty enough to eat. There were enough plugs to go about while I was there but can imagined theyre limited on very busy times. The staff were freindly and nice I had no bad experiences there, this is repeated in the high score reviews suggesting if it wasn't for the staff rapport, you'd be dog piled with one, two and three score reviews. In terms of drinks, this is where the facility let's it's self down, only soft drinks, beer and wine are free. Other items are extra cocktails, spirits prosecco, champagne. £44 was to high a price to pay for this facility, I don't say lounge as I feel it doesn't deserve the title. Lounges are places you can relax and escape the hustle of the airport, an oasis in a see of people traveling to varying destinations. Instead the Aspire Lounge Liverpool John Lennon Airport feels like you've been scammed by a snappy suit salesman selling Bentlys but you get a Ford! I wouldn't pay full price, £25 tops, that's what this experience is worth. Any more, go patron the restaurants in the departures instead.

This is the second time I’ve been here, but it will be the last. Absolutely awful selection of food, vegetarian pasta and chicken curry both mediocre at best. Cold food selection had been decimated, when I mention this to a member of staff she commented “that’s because everyone has eaten it”. But it gets worse, Prosecco is chargeable, Malibu is chargeable, bottled cider is chargeable. When you’ve already paid to come in, you shouldn’t be supplementing every drink other than beer or wine. AC was obviously broken too, easily 25°c in there. Very uncomfortable, poor food, expensive drinks and understaffed for a Saturday afternoon. Hardly the premium experience your being sold. Avoid

Small lounge, small selection of hot food, cold snacks and a bar. Friendly staff - very Scouse - no airs and graces 😂 Hot food finishes at 7pm - no messin'. Badly in need of a bit of glamour and style - feels more like a transport caff.

Worst airport lounge I've ever been in. Food was dried up gloop, reception was awful, the external restaurants are friendlier and better value for money.

Out of all the Lounges I've been to, this is by far the worst. I'd give it a minus star rating if I could. Food choice was plain pasta with grated cheese on top, and chicken curry that looked like something you'd get in a ready meal at Lidl. Leek and Potato Soup was luke warm and all coagulated. They had no sandwiches like all the other lounges, and there was one muffin sat in the cake section no one touched as it looked like it had been there for ages. I ended up just having cheese and cream crackers, and the cheese was literally an inch thick. 🙃 The beer wasn't help yourself like other lounges and branded spirits were extra, cocktails were extra, and even Prosecco was extra. I had 6 bottles of Moretti to make up for it. Avoid.

If there was minus star rating this would get it. Compared to other lounges I've been too (1903 and escape lounge Manchester airport) this is by far the worst by a country mile. You've got to pay extra for branded spirits. Prosecco is not free. There isn't a fridge where bottles or cans are kept. Food was far below far infact awful breakfast. Service was terrible. It 5am and I'm standing by the bar waiting to be served by a employee. It felt like they were hiding in the kitchen to delay time meaning I'd drink less in the time frame I had. And last but not least.. I was with a friend. He went to the bar and got 2 pints of lager. I then went 2 minutes later and they refused to serve me because he had to 2 pints meaning 1 each. So not only service is terrible but I can't order 2 pints for myself. Where as Manchester you can. I'll never go back here again

This lounge doesn't deserve its name. It was more of a “better waiting room”. They sell a lot of people admission, which means that the lounge is always so full that you are allowed in but can't find a seat. The food here isn't a big hit either, the selection is very manageable and there are usually only leftovers lying around of what little there is. To get drinks you have to talk to the employees, who of course are almost never at the bar. The lounge also doesn't have a toilet, if you want to go to the toilet you have to leave the lounge and go to one in the terminal. If you're traveling alone then you should avoid it. If you have a seat, you get up because you want to go to the toilet. There are already a handful of people standing there new guests who want your seat...... crazy, I've never experienced anything like that before. If you fly business or have a Priority Pass anyway, you can try your luck. If you're thinking about paying for the entrance fee, you should save your money and buy something to eat in one of the restaurants for the money, as you can sit there and in a sometimes more pleasant atmosphere than here.

Don’t bother, food selection was very poor, even when we order off the “upgrade” menu that you pay extra for we was served a frozen pizza and oven chips! Very over priced.you would be better spending the money in the airport. You also have to leave the lounge to use the toliets that are 200yrd walk away. Very different to any other lounges we have been to!

A pretty basic lounge saved by the staff that run it. Initially there was an issue using Lounge Key not scanning and my card number had to be entered manually. Staff were on the ball and friendly. There were two hot dishes and rice on. First was a curry and second a ratatouille. I tried the ratatouille which wasn't terrible but had been sat out a while. The rice was ridiculously hard. I am not exaggerating when I say it was like eating pellets. It couldn't be chewed or swallowed. Fortunately the staff got it changed. WiFi worked great. There's a small selection of small snacks and fruit, few biscuits and crackers. I would hesitate to pay full price as you have to exit to use the toilets which are in the main terminal. Again the staff made it better by being friendly and helpful but the refreshment options leave a lot to be desired.

As a frequent flyer and user of the lounges, I can confirm that Aspire lounges are by far the the worst (the ryanair of lounges) you really just get the bare minimum. The food selection and quality is always poor, and the often overcrowded seating area has a grubby feel to it. Unless all you want is free drinks before you travel, I would recommend that you just use the money to sit in one of the airport restaurants.

We had booked prior to our flights to Malaga on Wednesday 3rd January 2024 to have breakfast at the Aspire lounge in John Lennon airport Liverpool. We were greeted and seated by 2 very charming ladies. The breakfast was very tasty and the service we received exceeded our expectations. We would recommend using Aspire at John Lennon to any traveller as it is a great start to any holiday.

I cannot praise the staff enough. I had hurt my foot on the stairs at the airport. I asked the staff in the lounge if there was any medical help available as my foot was badly swollen and painful. They brought assistance immediately. I would also like to thank the lady who arranged assisted boarding for me and the firemen who gave medical assistance. I was travelling on my own so to be so well looked after by all the people concerned was amazing.. … thank you

The food selection is straightforwardly sad at night. I assume these are the same plates of food getting heating since the beginning of dinner time, and most of them turned out to be uneatable - rockhard rice and dry out pasta ☠️ Soup was drinkable but they ran out of bread to go with it. As for the drinks, you will have to pay extra for cocktails or champagne, a totally new experience for me 🤦 The takeaway: not arriving at this airport hungry.

I have to chase the driver to let him know wheather he have my food and the answer was no as soon as I walk off he then call me and said where did you order food then that’s the time he gave me the food if I was not on a night shift I would have return the food, that’s my second meal as we are on Ramadan. Disgrace!
