Had a great time food service was brilliant

New to the area, ate here more times already than my old local, great food, good prices and friendly staff

Nice revamped pub big screens plenty of tables inside and out. Recommended 👍 Changed my rating to 5 stars from 4. As far as other pubs locally (and there’s not many nearby) the Aspen Tree has improved. At times, especially if there’s a big game showing it can get very busy, I’ve known it to be 3 people deep at the bar. The main improvement is having the correct number of staff on the days when it gets packed out. It’s a big pub with a large bar area covering both entrances, and in the past staff seem to have concentrated on one side, and leaving customers frustrated waiting to be served. On my last visit, on a beautiful sunny Saturday, packed out with customers, the bar staff were spot on, and the waiting times greatly improved.

Had a great afternoon with friends in the beer garden...

The food is good and has big portions the price is not much different with Witherspoon but good has a little bit of music in the background and good entertainment but just annoyed with the stuff through the bottle makes noise I dislike it and have never seen this before should tell stuff about that

One waitress /staff had a attitude and wouldn’t really listen to what we was saying but a man who was ever so nice helped and made us happy he was amazing The food was dry and absolutely horrible I couldn’t finish my food it was all fatty and tasteless and the people I was with didn’t finish there food either we all agreed we won’t be going back there

Family friendly, great community feel, and top spot to watch the football.

Always a great service & atmosphere. Excellent menu for the kids & good price. We have enjoyed the curries & steaks they do. Would recommend a visit for sure.

Great place and excellent food.

Ordered a burger n chips for myself and a chicken burger and chips for son . Have to say hand on heart both burgers tasted amazing.Was very impressed and will order this one again

We haven't been here for over 10years due to moving away but visited and had lunch for four, staff were friendly and the food was excellent extremely impressed and will definitely be revisiting on a regular basis, congratulations to the Aspen tree team excellent experience.

Such an amazing pub, the staff are all so friendly and the pub is always so clean, the food is lovely for such a small price, I would highly recommend this place for any occasion x

I went to the Aspen Tree with my family of six and puppy on a Tuesday afternoon. Rem and her staff were friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our meals, deserts and drinks and a bowl of water for the dog was provided. After Greene Kings blue light discount we paid £52.50 all in. I can't think of anywhere else we could have had such a lovely afternoon on a similar budget. Fantastic value!

On arrival, this was our first visit, we were surprised to see that many of walls were mounted with TV all tuned to football! We were there to celebrate a birthday. We left without ordering any food

Reason I gave the 1 star is I've been there 3 times and everytime i couldn't get a seat inside to eat my food I dont like eating outside when asking management they was more intrested in some quiz night they was organising to make things worse my food on third occasion was steak and ale pie that was clearly microwaved and had blown up it was a mess I sent it back very disappointed I was with 10 of my family members which included 4 kids so 6 adults and I asked if they had bad food which 2 of them did the pub also doesn't serve my favourite beer Stella I was very disappointed and said I won't be coming back here it's a shame because the first time I was here it was fine

Popped in for lunch as we were travelling through.. family of 4 for lunch what a lovely clean pub with excellent food ... and great prices. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We went here on Sunday 10th September, very hot day and very busy . As such we waited almost an hour but given the amount of people there that was not surprising. There were 5 of us , 4 meals were very good , Lasagna, Hunters Chicken , gammon , egg ,chips & beans x2 . The 5th meal was my husbands , he chose the fish which was very thin and also very dry . It was very good value for the price we paid and had my husbands food been as tasty as the other 4 of us I would definitely give 5 stars . Will come again for sure but avoid the fish & chips . The girl brought out the meals holding the plates with a cloth but failed to warn my young granddaughter that the plate was very hot which whilst it would be obvious isn’t necessarily obvious to a child .

Lovely place, nice big beer garden and very dog friendly. Staff was lovely and polite. I'm vegan so didn't find many option for that but my friends said the roast dinner was yummy. Entertainment is fab over the weekends too.

Was looking for somewhere locally whilst travelling that was dog friendly and sold everyday food. The Aspen fitted the bill nicely. All 3 mains ordered where very nice and they even had a seniors menu. Wasn't going to have a dessert, but so glad we did and the staff made us very welcome. Thank you

This was a good place to take my 91 year old mum for Sunday dinner. I asked for a quiet table away from loudspeakers due to her being deaf. We were given an ideal table and enjoyed our food. Attentive and friendly staff.

Lovely pub with great beer garden

Just went there to see the football as was recommended will not be going back we was in the bar area not the food section and while trying to see the football match we was told to move from 3 different tables as apparently booked for other people there was not any evidence of this on any of our tables and not really fit for dining tables so still unsure as to why we were continually asked to move this spoiled our day out to a pub to see some football staff not very concerned about customers being pushed from pillow to post so to peak so no not a good experience or very welcoming will not go back just seems that if you’re not a regular you don’t matter to them

Friendly staff and efficient service. Food is hot and good portion. Recently refurbished and now has excellent large outdoor area established for the warmer weather. Clean toilets and good decor. Has become more family friendly with the new management.

Staff rushed off their feet after 20min waiting to be served we left and went elsewhere, felt so bad for the people behind the bar they were trying so hard but said that staff and hours had been cut

Lovely birthday lunch for a friend today. The staff were great, couldn't have more helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and the service was speedy despite the Aspen Tree being exceptionally busy today.

Lovely beer garden which also has a covered section with outdoor heating making this a perfect spot in all weather. Ordering is simple via the Greene King app. Efficient and friendly staff. Tables could be cleaner after customers leave but I can see they are always busy when we visit, so would recommend if they can leave cleaning spray bottle and blue roll to allow those of us who are happy to clean the table/soiled chairs ourselves and this would make it a perfect visit each time :) Have yet to go indoors so cannot comment on facilities as their app works so well.

We have been here twice in the last couple of weeks.had different mains & desert's lunch time menue highly recommended will be back soon big shout out to all the staff 5*.

Had lunch there last Sunday. Food was lovely, table service, friendly, our 18 month old daughter was with is qnd it was her 1st time going out for a meal and being in that environment and she was very loud babbling (well shouting) and they didn't try n get us to get her to be quiet ( like most places do and those places get the hump and make you feel uncomfortable. ) they was great about it and made a joke about it . Felt really comfortable and welcome there. Had table booked for 2 hours and we wasn't rushed or anything, totally enjoyed our whole experience, and the food was lush and will definitely be going back, and love our babies new nickname gobby 🤣🤣

Good food and a nice atmosphere pub well worth a visit, reasonable prices on drinks and food.

It's a proper pub, nice to see a pub so busy, we ordered food, we were able to get seated, the food that we ordered was very tasty, the bar/waiting staff were very friendly and efficient..... I would definitely go back.

Recently refurbished and with a great outdoor space. Excellent food at great prices. Definitely worth a visit.

Pleasant surroundings, and lovely food reasonably priced. A little bit noisy, but it was a Sunday so would probably be quiter during the week. I'm looking forward to trying the fish finger roll. Highly recommended.

Best Greene King Pub we have ever been to. Pub was very clean and table was cleaned for us without even having to ask. We had the Sunday Roast beef and Turkey which was cooked to perfection and tasted phenomenal. We will definitely be going back there. A+++++

Nice food but staff not as good, better now they have Sunday roast again. Since being under new management things have improved vastly, now 5 stars. Still stand by the review. Some good deals on various days.

I frequented this pub often as I am local but it started becoming a little worn out and the food wasn't what it use to be. I was told it had a revamp so decided to pop in this morning with my son... WOW just WOW!! The transformation is amazing, the staff are super friendly, we were greeted by 3 ladies with such a warm welcome, I felt like I was sitting at my own dinner table and to top it off the food was gorgeous, fresh and very well presented. I don't know who owns or manages but well blooming done you 😊👊. I will definately be coming back regularly I have my local back and it is amazing. Thank you xx

Very nice food, and really nice refurbishment. Only downside was that the table we were seated at was very sticky which was unpleasant. But everything else was lovely.

It already was a very nice pub bit now with the reform is so much nicer! Staff is really good, very attentive and the manager is so friendly and welcoming, she does an amazing job. Great atmosphere
