It's a very small bakery, 3 people inside the shop and it would be full. Had a nice selection of sweet baked goods, rather than just the breads many bakeries offer. The millionaires shortbread is a giant slice and delicious, none of the layers are too thick/thin and the shortbread crumbles and melts so well. The meringue is one of the best I've had in my life and was huge! The meringue itself was pink and almost like a strawberry and vanilla swirl, the cream in the middle was so silky with a vanilla hint, not just plain fresh cream. Both of those treats for less than £5 in Stamford is incredibly good value for money! Will be going back for more soon!

Extremely rude staff , the delivery ‘gentleman’ every single day block the road and have a verbal fight with everyone who ask him not to park there and block the road , he could park few steps further, , also he do the same on the other road aswell where he load his van ,

Impossible to put a finger on one item, they are all top class, friendly staff also. one of the highlights of a trip to Stamford! Ok, I'll point out one, if you haven't a sweet tooth, buy a loaf of their bread - really good.

The bread here is always the same. We have been to stamford many times during the last 50 years and their bread is the constant factor. Almost welcoming

Once you have tasted Askers granary bread nothing else will do. Small family run shop in centre of Stamford that has been selling a wide range of bread and cakes for many years.

we go most days for a loaf. The ladies behind the counter are very pleasant and helpful. Their white tin loaves are the only bread my husband will eat.

This is a hidden gem. If you love cake, and fresh bread, you'll love this place. So hard to decide what to have, so much choice and everything delicious. The best Bakewell Tarts ever. Try the Pineapple Tarts, carrot cake, shortbread, coconut macaroons and chocolate cake to die for. All different breads, all mouth watering. Huge toasted teacakes and a fruity, sticky bread that never makes it to the toaster in my house. I just slice it and eat it as it is, yummy.

Visited here for a birthday recently and had an absolutely fabulous time! The staff were attentive and friendly, the atmosphere relaxed, and the food exquisite. Everything we ate was beautiful to the eye and delicious to taste. Portions are big, too. Would highly recommend.

Been here several times for breakfast and lunch Lovely food, friendly staff and good coffee Nicely done out inside too If I was to have one criticism it’s the tea… it’s weak and I think you should offer a more “robust” bag for those that like strong tea Apart from not everyone wanting posh tea bags this is now our “go to brunch place” for good , hot and yummy food I can always drink the coffee instead!!

Don't bother if you have a dog with you. Looked a nice inviting local on entering but was given short shrift by the barmaid as we had our cockapoo with us. As there was 4 of us in our party, she turned away the opportunity to more than double her clientele on a quiet Sunday afternoon. Not what you would expect from a country pub.

The staff were so friendly, gentle and attentive. The restaurant was very calm and warm clean and tidy. The food was feast portions, superb presentation and offered great value for money. It was delicious, a lovely variety of flavours and options. Really tasty meal and walked away full and content.
