Lovely meal at reasonable prices and fantastic staff

The woman who took us to our table came across as rude and abrupt, so but my wife on a downer to start with. The restaurant was moderately busy so expected to wait a while but waited a bit longer than we felt we should be. The waitress who served us was really nice, kind and helpful and the food was of a good quality too. So the main reason for the low score was just the person on front duties. She also seemed a bit off with one of the staff, so maybe was just having a bad day.

Food was delicious although the portions were fairly small, especially considering the price! Staff was excellent, very friendly and accommodating.

Absolutely made our holiday. Service was impeccable to good with my youngest and the food was absolutely sublime. Would recommend the brisket parpadelle every day of the week. Thank you so much best dining experience we've had in as long as I can remember.

Absolutely Amazing Food, The Waiters Were Extremely Nice But The Lighting Is A Bit Awkward As When I Put My Head Forward It Blocked The Light And I Couldn't See What I Was Eating. Except From That, Everything Was Great!

Food was amazing! So many unique flavours and a spectacular finish to it (I had the Luganica sausage and 'ndjuda frilly tagliatelle). Ham was cooked to perfection, mascarpone was deliciously melty, the sausage was well done and had a nice kick to it with the pasta and the rich tomato sauce finishing it off. Well done Ask Italian, as I would recommend this place to anyone that enjoys their food. Menu has a good range of foods to choose from. Simply Amazing!!!

Hated this place. Went for a birthday party. We had to pre order then they got the orders wrong. Very expensive drinks. This place is overrated. Would not go back!!

There was a large party of people & the table was ready for us at our booking time. We had pre ordered our food, the only issue was there was a misunderstanding regarding starters, but they came out with the main meals which wasn't a big deal for us, everything was sorted out quickly. Would definitely go back again.

We were left waiting at the to be seated sign at the entrance with staff walking back and forth with only one person acknowledging us despite it not being that busy when we arrived. Waitress seems a little surly to be honest, not inclined to leave a tip and we always tip in restaurants. Food was generally good, although we ordered bread and olives and the olives came unpitted which was odd.

Had a great visit as a work social group of 9 yesterday. The team at ASK Hull were all very polite and efficient. The food and drinks were great and everyone had a lovely time.

on the whole Italian food has become over priced, this place is no exception, a new girl served us, she has a lot to learn but did her best, my pasta dish was very over cooked to the point of inedible, I don't like complaining but a dish of pasta costing £16 had to be right and they did exchanged it with no quibble, I shouldn't of had to send my food back, it was very obviously overcooked and burned it should never have been served to me. thus restaurant isn't very easy to get to so won't be going back

We were a party of 13 sat close to where the chefs/cook's were working it was really warm as there was no aircon which we were informed isn't allowed with it being a listed building so was a bit uncomfortable and we were using menu,s to waft ourselves . However the food made up for this , the food was amazing I had lasagne side salad and cheesy garlic chips (couldn't really taste garlic ) my friend had margarita pizza with looked delicious 😋, everyone in our party said they loved their meal 😊 our waitress was Lydia what a super professional young lady she is she is a credit to ur establishment and we give her 10 out of 10 for the service we received from her such a lovely person I can not praise her enough , well done Lydia for ur excellent service 👏

I came here for 18th Birthday meal and we had an amazing time! The food was absolutely delicious and tops to the staff there, especially Leanne (I'm not sure how to spell her name so I apologise if it's wrong!), for being able to accommodate to all 14 of us! Thank you!

Called in on way back to Innkeepers Collection. Bought pizzas and shawarma, beautiful food, fella working was was very nice and helpful👍 Shukran.

Had table booked for 5:30pm. Turned up few minutes early. Got seated ok but were waiting more than 15 minutes and still not been served. Walked out. Sorry but come on. Plenty of staff walking around. Couple next to us arrived after us but were served before us. Shame because we like this place but not going to be messed about at the prices you charge. Plenty of local pizzerias around at cheaper prices.

Although the food is nice enough and the waiters and waitresses are attentive, the chef’s are very unprofessional. Chef’s in the kitchen loudly complaining about customers saying they are “an awful table” and then shaking their heads and complaining when we leave no tip. Most of the staff are lovely, but complaining about customers out in the open where everyone can here ruins the atmosphere of the restaurant.

Took half an hour plus to get the starter in a quite restaurant then continued to wait for main which was pizza, apology from manager saying are drinks would be knocked off the bill and we still continued to wait. An hour and 20 minutes later the pizzas came. My hubby's pizza was completely full of black crumbly ash stuck to the bottom of it, he was so mad after so long of a wait that he stood up and showed his food to the rest of the restaurant and walked out with me having to follow behind. Hygiene standards there obviously not important!!

I would give 6 stars if I could.

Our waitress Chantelle was excellent. She couldn't of been more helpful and pleasant. Will definitely be coming back. The food itself was delicious and was impressed with the vegan options available. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice lunch out.

Average beef papardelle served luke warm with pasta stuck together. Mushroom papardelle tasteless. Edible. A bit disappointed.

Food was good as was the atmosphere. Lydia, or waitress, was extremely helpful and attentive. My husband's coffee wasn't as hot as it could have been.

The pasta was very bland. The carbonara 'sauce' was a greasy puddle at the bottom of the bowl and the pomodoro had no taste. The pollo (breaded chicken) was NOT worth £17. It tasted like it came from Iceland. The tiny amount of butter and the slight dressing on the salad meant it was overall a very dry meal. We had ordered a garlic bread which never arrived. Also, since when did you get pasta delivered to your table and NOT be offered parmesan!! It's an Italian. You always offer Parmesan!! There was no salt or pepper or cheese offered to help with the bland taste of the meal. The pizza was lovely though. The staff member with the green peekaboo hair was very apologetic and kind.

All of our group enjoyed the food, except me. My pasta dish, beef brisket pappadelle was described as having a rich sauce. It was boringly bland.

The food was delicious but what an awful service that was. We got through the doors and stood for 4 minutes before someone came to greet us and seat us. The restaurant was not busy at all. The gentleman at the bar could see us and didn't even bother saying "Sorry someone will be with u in the minute". Meanwhile, we can see the waitress chatting with the chefs over the kitchen counter. Once we finally got seated sent our orders Mains only, it took 43 minutes before we got served. After we complained. Never receive an apology from the manager about the delay and they had the nerve to have gratuity on the bill! The restaurant was not busy they had plenty of tables empty. They were still taking bookings. Worst service.

Vısıtıng Hull from Cyprus, and the pızza we had at the Ask Itaiıan ın Hull was just perfect. Even better than the ones we had ın Italy. The lovely waıtress Emıly was very helpful for choosıng our pızza and wıne. We gıve %100 to Ask Itaiıan and % 110 to Emıly. We recommend ıt to evetybody

Not as good as pizza hut imo bmas it's in another scale but loved it. Definitely be back and highly recommend it.

£7.25 for a bottle of Peroni. Nearly £5 for a tiny portion of chips. Pizza and pasta both not great but passable. Pleasant service though.

Lovely food and restaurant and service my only negative is my partner had pasta with mussles which obviously you have to use your hands to open the shell but nothing to wipe your hands on ,a finger bowl would have been nice or even a wipe

I came here today with my family for a meal out and the service was 10/10. Lydia, who was attending to our table was absolutely amazing and treated my family with the upmost respect, whilst also checking in to make sure the meals were good I couldn’t ask for anymore. I will definitely be coming back.
