I was treated very well by nice people. The pasta with beef brisket was full of flavour, and the chocolate gnocchi met my very high standards for chocolate puddings.

Lovely lunch and Craig our waiter was very helpful and friendly. He also helped when I had trouble with my voucher.

The food took a while to come out and the pasta was cold and lacked flavour, however the customer service was alright which made the experience better but the food was just boring

Extremely disappointing experience. 25 mins to take the order, 20 mins for starters and no mains an hour later. Gave up on the hour. At least they apologised.

Food came very fast in a matter of minutes despite it being a busy evening! Tasted so so good and Alberto our server was great

We sat, we ordered our starters and mains. The starters came, then we waited ages for our mains. My husband and daughters mains came but when I asked when one of the sides were she said that she forgot to tell us that they didn’t have any of that. I sat there for another 10 mins then the waitress came and asked if we had everything as she had admitted she had forgotten to order my main course. She did take it off the bill. And the food was nice. It took forever for the dishes to be collected once we had finished. She came and took them then wandered off for 20 mins until I caught her eye she came over to see what I wanted. I asked her for the dessert menus. Which she bought over and left in a pile at the side of the table. We chose and she eventually came back. My daughter went to order something and she said actually we don’t have any of that, my daughter changed her order and once again she said that they didn’t have any of it. At that point we just ordered my younger daughter’s desert from the kids menu and waited. Again we waited for another 10 mins when the waitress came and asked if we were ok. I reminded her that we were still just waiting for my daujlghtwrs dessert to which she looked at the serving bar and said oh yes it’s there I see it and wandered off. We watched her serve 2 other large tables before she wandered back and asked us if we were ok. I told her that 10 mins ago she jd gone to grab my daughters dessert which was sitting on the serving side and not returned she replied “oh yeah” and went again. This time she had finally bought the dessert. We paid using another waitress and left. The whole experience was awful and time consuming it cost us an extra hour in parking fees as well.

Arrived for 7:45 booking, 20-25 minutes later come to take order. 8:45 main meal has not arrived. Late for Cinema so no dinner for the evening. Such a disappointing experience. Truly disappointed.

First time going to ask Italian and definitely will be going back! Beautiful designed restaurant and the staff are lovely can't fault a thing! Thank you so much for a lovely dinner! Would recommend and will be coming back!

First class service and great food!

I will give 1 star because of the waiter’s behaviour. For every single thing we had a wait , I was calling one girl who was showing me some other waiter to ask for help . And that person is like chatting with a family inside the restaurant for ages . And finally forcefully taking the tips . After adding the tips he was saying do you want to pay my husband is a polite gentle person he could not say no he paid the tips . We don’t mind to pay tips but the behaviour and service has to be minimum alright I am not asking for perfect also to see the waiter and their behaviour

We visited here during a day out in Bournemouth. One of our children is coeliac which means she cannot eat anything containing gluten and her food cannot be cooked near gluten containing items. We mentioned this to the hostess as we entered the restaurant and she knew exactly what coeliac was and found the Allergen Menu for us. We decided that we felt confident in eating here and the staff were attentive to all our needs. Our daughters meal came out clearly labelled to avoid confusion and we all enjoyed our meal. The staff were great without being over the top and we would highly recommend the restaurant based on both food and service.

We happened to walk by for our lunch, ate pizza and spaghetti. We would not come back. Quality of food for adults was ok‘ish, but the portion-size was small and the prize was too high. The tiramisu desert was good For kids, the breaded chicken did not taste well while the pasta was too small a portion

Our server was super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the food is appalling. When your food arrives 5 minutes after you order it ,you know it's gonna be bad,but I wasn't expecting it to be that bad. The cheapest ready meal from Tesco would wipe the floor with Ask Italian dishes. They use the same type of grounded meat in pasta,calzone,normal pizza... I'm surprised they don't put it in the drinks. The pasta was overcooked,the calzone I ordered was undercooked,the starter veggies from the kids menu looked like they were cut a couple of days ago and kept in the fridge for later use. Worst meal I had this year by far. I sincerely hope that this review will be passed to your kitchen staff.

Best lasagna Ive ever had, I have visited more than once and will be visiting again. Very welcoming, friendly and accommodating staff. I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion

I experienced discrimination at this restaurant when I was not allowed to enter the building by Adam, simply because I was not informed that I needed to make a reservation. I made a reservation but was disappointed to see another couple allowed to eat there that didnt even make a booking. I demand the head office's contact details and a prompt response. I found Annabell's behavior unprofessional, and I refuse to accept this treatment. I will not hesitate to bring this issue to the attention of the public.

Had a lovely meal on Saturday evening. Teodora was excellent in serving our table of 6 and was really friendly. The Brownie was rich, decadent and to die for. 10/10 would recommend. Ask for Teodora!

Nice food, wish they put out salt and pepper mini grinders out and that they would introduce pulled chicken for carbonara!! Bella Italia does this and this would be a good addition to the menu :)

My boyfriend and I went for dinner before the cinema and were served by Amara. She was attentive, polite and professional. Nothing was too much trouble! We had a lovely meal and the food & atmosphere was fantastic.

Wanted a quick bite and Ask didnt disappoint. Gentleman who greeted us at the door (appeared to be the manager) was very efficient. Food came out fast and the lady who served us lovely. Will be back.

We stopped by for diner as we could sit outside on the walkway (it was a sunny evening). We had the 3-course menu which thanks to the very lovely staff, came out quickly and timely with a smile and was all very tasty. Georgie was our informative, attentive & bubbly waitress, who made our meal an experience.

Immediately as I walked in I was greeted with such a warm smile, everyone is so kind the atmosphere and lights are beautiful :D Nathan is such a lovely guy with amazing energy who greeted us kindly and i immediately knew I was comfortable here as a shy person. Teodora and Annabelle are so sweet and are so funny. This is my first time here with my friend I will definitely be coming back everything is so yummy and omg the smell is incredible!! Everything feels so high end

I'm a regular customer here and always enjoy my experience. The service is always so friendly and welcoming, Nathan, Teodora, and Annabelle are always a sight for sore eyes and brighten my day every time. The food is fresh and always comes in good time, the atmosphere is so relaxing and I always recommend ASK Italian to friends!

Enjoyed our meal and experience. Service and vibe really good. Food overall good. A couple of minor points, the bruschetta was average, bread too thick and tomatoes too cold. Chips undercooked. But if you want a good, fun dining experience, worth a visit.

Future Ajay... don't order this bland spaghetti that you could of made at home for £1.50. Please don't pay £15 for this.

My family 4 adults and 2 children were here for a meal today I had burrata and panettone carbonara which must be the best Italian meal I have had. The waitress was wonderful and very polite and cheery I would definitely recommend. Well done to all staff

Starters a total overpriced disappointment

Me and My family came here last week for my birthday meal. Food was nice, garlic bread was lovely! Amazing service from our waitress Lillie, went out of her way to make my birthday special! Would definitely come again.

Have come here twice in the last week and served by the same lovely girl with braids. (I’m sorry I lost the card with your name !!) shes such lovely waitress and I’ve seen her twice now, been super speedy and efficient around the restaurant. You can tell she cares and has improved the service massively as I went off ask Italian a bit after our waiter stood around talking, served us cold pasta and lied about how long it had been sat at the pass with no heat lamp. Food was great especially the prawnsss :)

Everyone was very attentive and kind. They ask your food allergies from the start and very helpful and truthtful while picking a dish. (I especially recommend trying the chocolate brownie.)

Very very disappointing experience, for me it has nothing to do with Italian food, it was probably the worst calzone I have ever eaten, tasteless, stuffing only one dominant taste of something smoked, even though the place was not busy, we got drinks after receiving the main course, unfortunately the service She didn't interest the guests, I certainly won't come back and I don't recommend it.

Came to the Bournmouth branch at 8:50pm, restaurant was half empty, where we were told that they were only accepting bookings, so we said ok, we would go online and make a booking, it allowed us to make a bookings for 9pm, it was 5 minutes to 9, went back to the restaurant and was not even asked for our booking reference, since then 3 other couples have been told bookings only and they have all walked away and gone to other restaurants, very poor considering everyone is crying out for business and the issue with the cost of living, Bournmouth seems to be able to turn customers away.
