Ashy's Chippy & Takeaway - Cheetham Hill in Manchester

Chicken tikka kebab had about 4 slithers of onion and pepper, overcooked chicken yet chips needed about 5 more mins cooking time, inedible, disgusting!! Gave 4 for service as not delivery drivers fault.... never again!!

all my food items was cold and didnt even send the right chicken fillet burger

the lamb biryani was perfect it was cooked well the rice were light and fluffy and spicy and the chicken and chips were chippy gorgeous

I've always wanted to try this place as I have driven past it so many times. Finally got to try an was lovely in what I got, I bought the halal steak pie 🥧 which was very nice and also the chips with curry sauce. The curry sauce was like a spicy curry homemade style on top of some nice an fluffy chips. Cost around a tenner with a drink which is not too bad..overall very happy an would try more things here in the future.

first the order was sent wrong, orderd 4 piece chicken with no drumsticks, they sent two piece chicken, phoned up an then yhey sent two more piece chicken both drumsticks wheb i specifically said no drumstick.. first an last time i order fron here, chicken was very skinny, horrible place

I recently visited Ashys Chippy and unfortunately, my experience was not up to par. I found two hairs in my food, which was quite off-putting and unacceptable. Acc amazing food always hits, sometimes not fresh but tbh just ask if its fresh and they will tell you, seen a lot of people complaining abt the hygiene, mate your in a chippy in cheetam hill its quite good for that standard, bit pricey but large portions

Went there yesterday for the first time and got chicken tikka with chips. The chips were homemade and soft and fluffy and the chicken was nice and had lots of spices. The atmosphere was chill too. Did not take long at all to get my food. Would visit again

Ordered Persian lamb mix with chips and rice, but only got rice. Don't care, though, as it was lovely as always. The delivery driver was lovely and polite, and the food was delivered 10 mins early and was piping hot.

My food was an hour late! It was stone cold and the delivery driver was driving a UBER TAXI! It showed the driver had picked the food up AN HOUR BEFORE HE ACTUALLY ARRIVED!!! I DIDNT EVEN END UP EATING THE FOOD AS IT WAS STONE COLD! I WANT A REFUND!!!

Arrived before iftar food was fresh, the portion was large, and it was sooooo tasty. The chicken biryani chicken was so delicious. tikka and chips were so good too literally all the food was fresh and tasty. Love this joint compared to other places.

Garlic bread come cold i wnat a refund

The mix grill was served on a naan, which was crisp dry and drenched with the colouring of the tikka masala. I asked for the naan to be packed separately for this reason. The chips were also very cold and undercooked, the fish burger was to poor taste. Very dry and low quality burger. The driver also drove around the whole drive before arriving at the door so that also delayed the delivery.

Palak gosht made me vomit, literally. Chicken karahi tasted like something completely different, tons of tomato sauce and a bitter taste like pickles . Kebabs in the mixed grill were microwaved, so much they had turned to little bricks. Nasty 50p chicken burger (the pulverised ones you get in a budget pack). The only redeeming quality was the naan. On and off I have been visiting this place for years and I've never had such disgusting food.

Never had a problem before but unfortunately this time curry was very watered down an had no taste. Very disappointing. I wonder if it was cos I used my stamp discount? Also forgot my salad an sauce again.

Ordered Persian lamb half rice n half chips When it arrived it was a quarter chips three quarters rice chips were soggy loads of water in the tray never again will I order from here

The food is excellent always made from fresh the owner is a very nice and very respected take away owner in his area from the outside of the takeaway it doesn't look like much but like they say don't judge a book by its cover, hands down I'd say this is the best place to get fresh and high quality food for decent prices it's always full of customers ordering.

Disappointed by the portion sizes of the chips considering the price. A lot smaller than what you would get when buying in person, i'd go as far as saying half the amount. Food was fine otherwise though.

Im a regular customer at Ashy's. Love the chips with mix kebab. Chicken tikka kebab with nan. The weekend Biryani, although it would be nice if they could add more chicken quantity in their Biryani portion. As its a large portion. But over all food is great. Recommended to several friends and family. The best thing about their chips are... they are piping hot, chunky chippy style and mainly very clean. Nowadays you find potatoes which are bad and still cut and fried. But Ashy's chips are all very clean. Very satisfied with their always friendly service.

Usually honestly the quality and quantity is exceptional however this time i was charged the same yet the usual food portion was half and the chicken biryani and no Chicken in it unfortunately. It was hot and the rice was very flavourful but it was mixing the chicken so i can't say I had a chicken biryani unfortunately. Hopefully it's better next time because I do love this place

Can't work out how to flag this up on the usual delivery platforms to warn people so I hope this gets seen... We were parked up outside here today (in another premises) and saw a guy get out of a van making a "delivery" to this venue. .... Took a flimsy carrier bag of "meat" out of his van , and then when it collapsed on the pavement, he just promptly used his bare hands 🙄 to scrape the scraps off the pavement and back into the carrier bag to be taken into the restaurant... So if you ordered a kebab tonight you might also get a side order of fag butts and gravel.... Disgusting. Will be reporting to the FHA
