Ashtead Charcoal Grill in Mole Valley

We just had a takeaway doner and it was the best one we ever had! The meat was crisp and juicy, the salad super fresh and the portions enormous whilst the price was very reasonable. To top it off the guys in the shop were mega friendly when my husband came to collect. Absolutely going to be our new weekly go-to. Excited we found this gem of a place.

Food is really good just wish the proportions were better. XL donner has a tonne of meat but the salad is usually gone before I even get half way through it, such a shame! It's the same pre portioned tub that comes with a small.

i visited the establishment with my family as we was looking to move into the area. the food was cooked in fair timing when arrived the food smelt astonishing as was the taste. the customer service was beyond anything i’ve seen to this day, very warm and welcoming people. 100% recommend and will be visiting soon again.

I have been a regular customer here for over a decade now. When they changed hands, I must admit, I worried... But there was no need. I LOVE THIS PLACE! I am quite fussy with the way I like my food presented and I have preferences that can sometimes annoy people. The staff are so friendly, know what I want and always do my food EXACTLY the way I like it. The meat is always flavoursome and tender, the salad is fresh n crisp and the sauce is the cherry on top for me. Even though I no longer live in the area, I travel here for my kebabs... Honestly, Its a must try!

Really good value for money and solid quality throughout. The lamb shish wraps and kids burgers were perfect today, didn't cost an arm and a leg as well. They always are busy on the weekend which is great for the high street and locals.

No access to card machine but no biggie as they have a website you can order through, a bit of a fumble when in store though as no paypal option, all done by card details. My main issue lies with the quality of food, my salad looked lovely and fresh but very gritty? Doner meat was hard and tough compared to other similar establishments, chips a little undercooked too. And all for £12 for an instore purchase? I dont think i will be returning anytime soon, however i have had really good quality service here before so hopefully was just a one off.

Very welcoming kebab shop. Respectful, friendly, staff. Many greqt options especially for meat eaters but several vegetarian options such as falafel in wrap, which I HIGHLY reccomend.

It is truly the best grill I have pleasure to have around. A lot of my friends from all over the world , some are Persian or Georgian (masters of shish etc) are of the same opinion. My son can’t have enough of it either . Keep up the good work boys !

Got order completely wrong, said there’s nothing they can do about it, want me to speak to the person who took my order and argue it out, was then told to drive it back! Rude staff and the chicken is dry and horrible. This place has gone down hill! The picture below is meant to be a xxl chicken shish with salad and extra sauce!

No hello, or friendly service at all when I walked in. Just stared at me waiting for me to say something to him with a blank stare. A basic hello/greet is such a simple and easy thing to do, and its expected, especially from restaurants. I walked out and not going back. Shame. Doesn't matter if the food is good, if there is no polite welcome and common courtesy, on arrival whats the point? Customer service is 50% of a restaurants product.

Listen yeah, if you don't try this place you don't know good food! I went for lunch at this place two days in a row with their chicken shish (tender) and Tbone steak which even with it being well done was succulent! Definitely recommend

I’ve got to be honest, I’m a south London guy, and my partner introduced me to this amazing place, and let me tell you, the food is 10/10! I love lamb shish personally and wherever I’ve been , it’s always been very fatty and grissly. Not this place! Melt in your mouth meat, and organic to add, and it taste it! 100% my go to when I’m down here, I just wish it was closer to home! If you want a fantastic kebab with a very warm welcome, you won’t be disappointed. Sean

It says on their website they close at 11:30, but we bowled in at 5 to 11 and they had turned off the oven

Perfect food and polite staff. This is the only place that I’m buying my lamb shish kabab in the last 5 years! No change to quality, always perfect tender meat, and marinade and very hygiene!

So disappointed that ACG has been taken over / bought out and lost everything that was good about it. Their food is just so bland now. The grill itself has to have a hot portion to really sear the food and a cooler side to cook it through. Yes the food is cooked but not in a flavourful way. The hummus was dry (now in little pots), the salad prepped before the pitta and meat, not cooked with any veg on the skewers. All in all, a by the numbers kebab, which is okay but nowhere near what it used to be. In desperate need of completing the renovations, plus lost contact with the local community, e.g., no sponsorship of the local youth football teams with shirts on the walls.

Racist! Served all the white people before me, 20 minutes before their closing time. However, when it is my turn, told me everything is turned off and they can only serve me fries. After ordering from them for 8 years what a joke. Out of this experience, I will never return! Your lost. Learn how to treat your customers fair!

Person on the phone got our order and made the complete opposite of what we asked. This happened twice before but we thought it was a problem with how we sounded on the phone but we were completely clear this time. The portions also were extremely small.

Fantastic service, even better food and value for money for this part of town was superb. The mixed grill would serve at least 6 people, the burger was nice and juicy and best of all, everything served is halal!

Bought meals for family. However due to new toilet begin done which has been like this for months and months. You have no customer toilet and only 2 small tables if you want to dine it. Which had more seating area before the building work that is happening at the moment.

I haven’t eaten here since the new management take over and WOW…You must try the chicken a halloumi wrap, soo good ! I highly recommend- plus the staff are always lovely to me and my children.

I have been going to Ashtead Charcoal Grill for over 8 years, and I love it there. Definitely the best place to get food in Ashtead.

Saw worker wipe sweat of his head with his hands and then touch food. I called on the phone and they said to be there in 10 mins, I got there and they ignored me, kept asking me what I ordered, telling me to wait, but never even made my food, I was there for 20 minutes while other people who came after me got their food first, I am a teenager so maybe that’s why. After 30 mins wait, I kindly asked for a free drink as I saw others get free Baklava for the long wait, but he rudely shut me down and ignored me, the worker who did this was a short and chubby man, most likely of Turkish descent, with a shaven head (looked like a sweaty meatball) and he treated me different to all the other customers for no reason.

Been coming here for a while now, food is always great, a good variety and always happy to serve us, Keep up the good work, we will be back!

Didn't see any handwashing, only accepts cash, doesn't wash hands after touching coins and then touch's food, high risk of food poisoning. Also wears gloves continuously and doesn't change them. High contamination risk.

The chips are so good. The staff also gave us a lot of chips. My mum ate a chicken kebab. She absolutely loved it. This really deserves a 5 star.
