Great hearty Gujarati Food. The quality and the quantity is amazing. Staff are all welcoming and if you ever need any help deciding, they are more than happy to help you. I have been coming here for as long as I can remember, not as often as would like to recently, but I can openly say the food is genuinely amazing.

Best food! Feels like home, I have been here so many times already in just couple of weeks after discovering this place by accident. Try everything whenever you can!

Delicious, authentic Gujarati food, just like home made. We were a group of 6 this time. We had the Gujarati Thali, Special Gujarati Thali, samosas, stuffed paratha with two veg, khichdi, kadhi and spinach shaak, which were all delicious. They were very busy as it was the weekend before Diwali, but we were lucky to get a table at 1.05pm, just five minutes after they opened. Five stars for the food and the warm, friendly service.

I believe curry’s are true food And today for the first time I was in Asher Africana in Wembley. I must say the hospitality from restaurants owner and his wife and the lovely little boy .. and the lady who served us was a genuine and full of kindness. Now then. Food 🥘 I lived in India for few years and I have travelled a lot around Uk in search for good curry ., can’t believe of my luck to find this recipe! I had the special Gujarati thali, along with mango lassi, puran poli, thepla, and pani-puri, and every dish was absolutely delicious. The flavors were authentic, and the attention to detail was evident in every bite. Despite the restaurant being quite busy, the staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, ensuring a great experience. They also offer a new curry menu daily, with everything made fresh. Plus, you don’t want to miss out on the complimentary pickles and shrikhand! Overall, an amazing dining experience with fantastic service.

If you're looking for freshly cooked, home-made food with a friendly service from Kumar, Vicky and their team, then this is the place to go. Be patient though – the food is being freshly prepared, so it's not going to be served in five minutes like most other places that are simply re-heating old food. Recommend their dal wada, mogo and spinach curry – amazing! A lot of vegan options here.

This is a hidden gem. A place to go to for excellent and tasty food at a reasonable price. We went as a crowd of 13 people and the service was really good. l definitely recommend it and we will be going there again.

5+ stars for food. It was just amazing and Asher's Africana is one of the MUST visit restaurants in Wembley. Also the owner and staffs very polite and friendly. But just one suggestion - please find ways to politely inform consumers that other people are waiting outside and they want to eat as well. Some people are highly inconsiderate towards others (even if they see pregnant ladies, old people shivering in winter, they just don't vacate the place). By this way you will lose your costumers and we will miss the best vegetarian/healthy Indian food experience too.

If you want to eat true authentic homelike food outside of India, this is the place to be. The owner is warm and kind, and so is the other staff. We had the Thepla with 2 curries and it was superb. Highly recommend for anyone

My wife and I visited Asher's Africana for a quick bite after shopping in Ealing Road. The Crispy Bhajia was stand out and the best I have had amongst other strong contenders like Maru Bhajia House and Sakonois and the Shrikhand was nearly as good as home made. and a very generous portion. if you're looking for simple home made Gujarati food, not excessively oily or overloaded with masalas, this is the place to come. I love the fact that they serve authentic Gujarati "green shaak" which is rare to find in London's eating out scene. What really sets this place apart and makes it one you want to come back to is the old fashioned (East African) Gujarati hospitality. Kumarbhai in particular has great customer service skills and that rare ability to connect to all his customers, understand their needs and make them feel really well looked after. A diner on the table next to us was celebrating her birthday and he gave her a complimentary portion of her favourite shaak as a birthday gift, we were packed a container of our favourite pickle to take away. It's these small thoughtful gestures that makes a guest feel like family that sets Africana apart from the rest.

Special thali is very good particularly the rotis and the dal. Amazing value, very friendly service, an exceptional restaurant.

This is our go-to Wembley Gujrati takeaway. Owners are very kind always give us extra roti. The black chana is amazing with undhiyu is perfect with muti. Everything is perfectly spiced and also if you are dining in it is rather warm.

We wanted a vegetarian meal and tried this establishment for the first time. It is pure vegetarian restaurant/ cafe.We had a warm welcome. Was a little busy inside, but nevertheless ‘Kumar’ greeted us warmly and we asked for a thali (steel plate with small containers of various dishes) see photo. Starters of popadoms with a selection of chutneys was a delight. Mains was explained to us by Kumar for a choice of 2 curries. Service was quick. One dish which I’ve never tried was ‘ghatia curry. The chapati’s were freshly made and portions were enough. Kumar had time to have a nice chat but never felt intrusive, he explained that they make small batches at a time so food was always fresh. We decided to go for desert - shrikan and ‘mohantal’ shown in photo. Extra portion given as we explained this was our first visit and appreciated it totally. Will definitely come here again and try other dishes on the menu.

The original and best Gujarati food and thali place in London. I noticed the quality and excellence in every little thing, from ingredients to even mukhwas at the end. I actually live in the US. I run a workflow app called Tallyfy. Every summer we come to the UK for a couple of months and this Africana thali is the food highlight of the summer. Just legendary.

If you want experience pure simple Gujarati food then this is a must place to go. Kadi Kichdi and Batata (potato) curry was amazing. They have small wait but that's 200% acceptable for the food they serve. Really this place takes me to Gujarat that same simplicity no jazzy ambience but simple setup and amazing food from amazing people. Above all this just can't forget the priceless hospitality every member provides. Really even tipping will be awkward as the kind of hospitality they provide just cannot be measured, I would go there and have more food many times. Loved their 2 large Puran poli with shak and kadhi. Extremely filling. There was a wait plus it was really stuffy inside. Absolutely no ambience as such but I suppose the tasty food pulls people in. There was a Caucasian couple really relishing the food too.

Amazing friendly and helpful crew and chef in the restaurant. Very helpful in explaining everything, because for us the kitchen was quite new. Glutenfree bread also available. Joking with kids, water for free, delicious food maybe a bit spicy. And prices are really small. Simple furniture.

Asher’s African Restaurant is great. Visited with my family, and the food was absolutely delicious, offering an authentic taste of Gujarati cuisine. The team at Asher's was incredibly attentive. They were warm, welcoming, and eager to make our dining experience memorable.

The food was excellent the service was quick, personal and excellent and it was good value for money too. We had sev puri and methi bhajias for starters. The bhajias were made fresh and were hot and delicious! Sev puri was very tasty and yummy! We had puran puri which was out of this world, like home made. We also shared a Special Gujarati thali between the three of us and it was superb and there was so much food that we even brought home the left overs! Absolutely amazing food and service!

Visited this hidden gem (well, not so hidden, to be honest) on the 7th of July for my mother’s birthday dinner. Despite offering her options that included Michelin-starred restaurants, she insisted, “I want to go to Asher’s.” Initially, I was skeptical, thinking, “Really, this spot in Wembley?” But, we went, and let me tell you, this place is nothing short of AMAZING! Asher’s doesn’t boast fancy decor or pretentiousness; it simply offers REAL, incredibly good food and exceptional service. I emphasise REAL good food because, during a conversation with Kumar, one of the two brothers running the establishment with their mother, it became clear that they are passionate about sourcing the best quality ingredients for their dishes, and it truly shows. When Kumar discovered it was my mother’s birthday, he surprised us with complimentary sweet treats, a genuinely kind gesture that added a special touch to our evening. If you’re craving a hearty, authentic Gujarati meal, this is THE SPOT!

This place deserves a shout out, not just for its authentic food, which indeed is exceptional, but also for its people, who make you feel like you are visiting family for a meal! It was our good fortune that we found this rather "normal" looking place in the middle of other unusually lit up shops/eateries on the Ealing Road. We were handled so nicely by this one gentleman (whose name I forgot to ask!), with an exceptional sense of humour, and perhaps one of best demeanors that I have encountered in the restaurant business. We tried the Pani puri, Puran poli, two varieties of Gujarati Thalis, and the Methi Bhajias. Everything was simply perfect. 5 stars all the way and definitely recommended for every taste.

A small restaurant without a great ambience but what makes it special is food and the service. The staff is very friendly and always care for the customers. And the food is just amazing.

I'd fancied some homemade food for lunch. I've started a list on Google for to see/ do/ eat whenever I'd see something I'd fancied to do on my days off. This was on my list. I had the Gujarati thali, vegetable samosas and masala tea. The samosa came with an assortment of chutneys. The coriander and mint chutney was my favourite, refreshing and clean. The chili was spicy, and the pickled cucumber came in 2 types; the tamarind flavour and chili. The choice of 2 vegetable curry was what was cooked on the day, all vegetarian choices. I think I had the spinach and the cucumber. It came with 4 rotis and the boiled rice. The manager helped me with my choices, explained what was on offer for the day. It was delicious from first bite, I arrived early as soon as it opened for lunch service as it got busy quickly. I finished my meal with the masala tea. This is a no nonsense restaurant, plenty of vegetarian options and reasonably priced meals. Easily accessible and minutes from the underground.

Simple, sweet, clean, unassuming place. Food is tasty, homely, hot, hygienic etc… Host Vikram is a very friendly person, who is patient enough for all his customers to explain the various options for ordering. Lovely lunch we had. Our first visit but certainly we shall be back soon. Bhajia plate will be ordered next time 😀

Good quality hot meal available. The location is great. The table service is excellent. The owner is very welcoming. Always happy to help. We enjoyed ourselves for desi Indian food. The price is affordable. I personally recommend the restaurant for all Indian foodies. The pooran puri and aloo paratha were excellent. Must try.

Great experience. The entire service staff is within the family and they all make you feel that you are dining at their home. The food is freshly cooked by the hour so don’t expect quick service but it more than makes up in taste and freshness. One of the best Shrikhand I have had (even versus India) with pure saffron. The thali was amazing (don’t recommend the special thali, it’s too big for one person especially with fried starters and 5 breads). Dal, kadhi, khichdi, sev tamatar, alu, undhiyu, papad, buttermilk were all excellent- fresh chutney was exceptional. We didn’t try any starters but they looked absolutely delicious be it batata Wada or bhajiya so I’m sure we have to go back and try them next time with a smaller thali. Definitely recommend. Space is limited and there’s no reservation so expect a wait, but totally worth it.

Very busy home style gujrati restaurant. Relaxed atmosphere, groups of families and friends from all backgrounds visiting. Everyone having their own conversation just as they would at home. Large portions of food (plastic containers given to take away) Family run business, owner is cooking serving cleaning and conversing. Majority of customers are gujrati. Food was abit on the spicy side but very tasty. A variety of saundaries and chutneys provided. I would definately recommend visiting this small home run business and show your support to the local community. I will definately be visiting again. Lots on the menu to choose from and will be trying different dishes 👍

A wonderfully, understated, family run Gujarati restaurant which serves, in my opinion, tastiest Gujarati thali in London. Gently spiced and easy on the stomach, the food at this restaurant doesn't lack flavour. Everything is freshly prepared and the brothers who run the restaurant have great, caring energy. They care about everyone who comes into eat. I started eating here after my the recent passing of my beautiful mother. Before her stroke, 17 years ago, my mum used to cook good, honest Gujarati food just like the food here and for me it evokes memories of her before she recently passed away. Keep up the delicious food made with positive energy.

Visited today. Unlike other heavily decorated places,this one is easy to miss. Decor and furnishing is very simple. However the food is superb . The food was not very spicy or oily. The portion size was more than adequate for the prices. The service was really good and this family run eatery is customer friendly. Everything was clean and tidy. While the menu says vegetable curry, they bring you the samples of all the curries and you can choose the ones you want. Many families appeared to be regular visitors. Certainly worth a visit.

Probably the cleanest place I have ever eaten it. Host is very accommodating and also helpful. I ordered the gujrati thali and it came with some delish chutneys and poppadoms. Food was wholesome, filling and delicious. If I lived nearby I would be here everyday but unfortunately I don't. I also ordered theplas for takeaway and they were freshly made, delicate and tasty! Can't wait to go back and try out other menu items. Wonderful experience.

It’s just next to Hindu Temple, Ealing Rd Wembly. May be you need to wait for 20-30mins to get your turn but it’s worth waiting. If you never had authentic Gujarati food then it’s a right place to start.. you will never get disappointed. The owners are super awesome and friendly. I love the way to handle their customer.

Food has been amazing but after lock down I went back and the disappointment was the cleanliness. Same cloth being used on the table to wipe food was being used on the seats for people to sit. It’s a BIG SHAME. Put people off . TIP-:”Perhaps use a dust pan and brush to take of crumbs and then wipes to clean the seats.”

I love to visit this reataurant whenever I visit wembley. I feel Owner and it employees are not doing it for money but for people who visit them. My last day in London before going back to my home country, and I wanted to make my last dinner meal the most simple, authentic and comforting one. So i went to this place about which i heard a lot of good opinion's from my friends. The service and atmosphere of the place was quite homely and fast pace. The food was so delicious and mouth watering that I couldn't stop myself from eating more and more. The Gujarati thali and Puran Poli was sooo yummy and tasty that it felt like home food with your family. The quantity, quality and price of the food is terrific. There is no better place to have Indian food, especially gujarati cuisine. The staff is so kind and generous. I just loved my whole experience. I was so happy to have my last meal in UK here. must visit place for sure. The staff is more like family and so loving and caring.

Went for dinner with friends over Xmas period. We had been once before and loved it. This time it was even better. It takes me back to my childhood eating excellent, tasty and fresh vegetarian Gujarati food. The owners treat customers as if they are guests in their home. They even told us when we were ordering too much which is very decent. Really good food and good value served by lovely people who do their best for you.

Asher’s Africana in Wembley is this unassuming place with typical Gujarati food that reminds you of home. We have tried to visit Asher’s in the past but it gets quite busy on weekends during lunch time. Today with the gloomy weather and the late arrival, it was easier to find table(s). The first thing you notice is the smile and the warmth of the staff there. The menu has Gujarati dishes that you would normally cook at home. From Thepla and Rotla to Kadhi Khichdi and Bhajiya. Once you place order, the aunty brings a plate with the choice of Sabzis for the day so you can look at them and decide which ones you want in your order. We picked all that were available - Spinach, Aloo, Gathiya, Chola (black eyed peas) All dishes were excellent in taste and it never felt that we were eating outside food. Right amount of oil and spice. Bajra Rotla reminded us of mom’s rotla. The chai was great with a hint of cardamom. Imagine hot bhajiya and chai when there is slow drizzle outside in the cold weather! Puris and Rotis were soft, that you can break with 3 fingers. We tried Puran poli, no frills, humble, with ghee. It finished in no time as it was steamy hot and tasty. Overall, an excellent late lunch

Excellent service, the best food, so very fresh and delicious. The rotlas were my God, exceptional. They kindly gave us extra ghee and gur to go with the rotlas in the special Thali my friend and I had. The service was just outstanding. Felt like home away from home. The food is so clean, fresh and tasty. The khicdhi kadhi which came with our Thali was the ultimate. The pickles and the chutney was also delicious. My friend took a whole lot of rotlas and curries as takeaway. Thank you guys for making us feel so comfortable and nice. No doubt we will be visiting you again soon. The service is exceptional.

The Best Indian Food I ever had!!! 🤩 I was sceptical about eating in a vegetarian restaurant as I'm a meat lover, but I was wrong...the food was absolutely delicious! Genuinely fresh and tasty! The staff are helpful and friendly, explaining each dish accurately. Looking forward to my next lunch there!

The food is exactly like homemade Gujarati food, not spicy, just the perfect amount of spices. Good value for money. Service is excellent. I have been twice and had the two curries and 5 rotis, and mix bhajiya platter which is the best. If you love spicy I think it is the garlic chutney(bright orange in colour) is the best. I highly recommed Asher's Africana Resturant.

Home cooked delicious Gujarati thali, crispiest bhajiya with 3 types of chutney, fresh mango lassi. The host was so hospitable and considerate and offered bajra rotlo as gluten free option.
