Always check the dates on your items that you wish to purchase, I've purchased a few items that were passed their "Use by" dates. Stock availability isn't the best. Shop floor can be busy and noisy, sometimes messy with pallets left out.

Asda is a place you can get anything you need

Absolutely disgusting store, flithy, low stock, out of date foods, no staff on the tills, always self service, security guards are pathetic and accuse young girls of stealing when proven otherwise, if your Romanian, polish or any other nationality, black, Asian you can go in haress and steal and nothing happens Absolutely pathetic excuse of a store.

The wife wanted a pack of custard creams from this place, when I asked where they was some random bloke kicked me in the shins. Not fault of the company but I’m livid 😡

Ridiculous how you can't just nip to the Pharmacy now - and getting told to walk all the way around (I was on my lunch hour). I had a parcel to pick up too. Very dirty shop now and so would not want to walk around the shop. I will ask my GP to send my monthly prescription now to another Chemist - the Pharmacy and staff are always great btw

The bakery counter, I was told by a staff member a picture I coloured in of a princess and unicorn wasn't allowed to be used for a picture cake for my daughters birthday, I was told it was copyrighted!

Lack of staffed check outs lead to long queues, mainly of elderly people like me, who prefer dealing with a human being rather than a computer. Not unusual to spend 15 minutes or more in a queue.

If you're planning on going first thing on a weekday morning my advice would be go to Tesco instead. I bet the main asda warehouse is less chaotic than here

Brilliant team working with plenty of experience not just about work also life. I have a fantastic time with the staff.

Used the click and collect service and waited in store for nearly 45mins to attempt collecting my order but no body came out with the shopping! I called the collection department 8 times and no body answered then went to customer service for help but no joy. In the end I had to leave the store without my food shopping as I had to pick up my baby from nursery. We didn’t have food that night to fed my family of 5 as the money have already been taken out of my account. We had to resort to eating instant noodles. I was absolutely disgusted by the click and collect service. There were 3 members of staff in the store to pick the groceries but no one to get the shopping out?! What a joke! If the department was under staffed then management should’ve done something about it as this wasn’t the first time it happened, last time I waited for 30mins! I would never ever use this service again and will be putting in a formal complaint. Doesn’t even deserved a 1 star.

Came to pick up my order and waited 15 minutes to come to me. Also pathways to the entrance full of litter. Car park and the surrounding bushes full of rubbish it’s a disgrace to the area and it’s got worse over the last few years. Has the Manager of the store not noticed this l presume he or she gets out of a car to enter the store.

Easily the worst Asda put there always low on stock never re stock untill it suites them and the gaming section we'll that as been updated or stocked in probly 12 month shocking place management need addressing

On this occasion it was pancake Tuesday and the eve of Valentine's day, I usually always shop here although living in Runcorn, I had filled my trolley up with my shopping and approached the checkouts where I found 3 checkouts open but 1 was about to close and the queue's where up the isle's at the self service checkouts they where also large queues at both the baskets and trolley counter, I found out that the rest of staff where told to take their holidays before end of year, surely the manager should have realised what day it was and the the store was going to be busy. I personally ended up leaving my trolley and shopped elsewhere. If this continues to happen I will be shopping elsewhere all the time.

This is a typical Asda but having travelled from Manchester I was hoping to use the toilets. 3 occasions now the toilets have been out of order. I now use M+S, which is much cleaner and has a usable toilets and cafe and just the other side of the roundabout.

It's an Asda supermarket. It is what it is. As with most Asdas there are never enough checkouts in operation - plenty of tills but few staff.

Staff don't care about online deliveries. Making drivers to wait even 30min to pick up orders. Management not very helpful on this

Great shopping until we reached the tills - just too long waiting to go through. Not good when you have mobility issues and no I’m not using self scan or trolley shop tills. I prefer people contact and interaction!!

What is happening to asda at widnes just had to que at checkout for 25 minutes most isles closed 15 in a line at each till and 20 at self check till, its not just because its bank holiday was the same last time i shopped but the last time wll go elswhere after 13 years shopping there.

Decent sized superstore which I'm happy to travel to rather than my smaller local store.

Some shelves empty and never enough tils open.

Missing some basics often for months at a time.

I didn't do a full shop here, but I urgently needed a new bulb for the car and it while not my first thought for car spares, it was worth a gamble. There's an aisle with DIY equipment and I managed to get an emergency bulb kit. For the price of 1 bulb at somewhere like Halfords, I got a full set of different sizes which I'm going to keep in the car for next time

Large store, good choice, plenty of parking, very helpful staff. Clothing section nice. With McDonald's

It was run so much better when the other manager ran it . But they finished him up, and its not the same since, its so unorganised empty shelves & the staff look fed up .

If I could give lower than a one star then I would. The service when you order and “try” and collect clothes is a joke. Hard to tell if it’s the system that’s incompetent or the staff that are the issue. Either way, would never order clothes from the store again. To pass the blame on how many orders they give isn’t good enough. It’s your system that you run, not the customers fault. Pizza counter was a mess to the point that it put me off ordering one. Toppings of all different types everywhere! Not hard to keep the area clean I don't care how busy it gets. Not impressed!!

Love shopping at Widnes asda great value lovely staff . Unfortunately on last 3 visits the store has had several youths causing mayhem in the store making it difficult to shop.

Entrance to the toilets floor was filthy plus the toilets are in need of refurbishment The shop looks dull and uninviting so went to Tesco instead.

It's a top supermarket they have everything you need, staff are great friendly and always helpful, it's the best in widnes for sure

Great asda due to the size of it and the selection available. With the price drop and lock that they have started doing it definitely helps when doing shopping. I especially love the bread and the fishmongers it is also fresh and quality. It's what you expect from an asda except it is much bigger than many others. I'm my top 3 supermarkets. Also had giant Yorkshire puddings I hadn't seen before and they went well with the vegetables bought from here

Always have problems with stocking levels. I think the saying 'when its gone its gone' originated here at asda widnes because they neva have the stock to replace it.

My partner and I were physically assaulted in this store today by a member of the public. The staff jumped to our defence and were amazing on all levels. What an amazing group of people.

The asda staff are superb and so helpful with always a smile...shame I have witnessed some managers speak to them like they have been scraped from the bottom of their corporate shoes. Felt sorry for the lads on 2 occasions....treat them with respect as they have been there longer than you....and it doesn't make you big infront of loyal customers.

Just like to say what a lovely helpful lad liam is in the Widnes store. I went on self serve but was rushing and hadn’t realised it was just for baskets, hence I was struggling and Liam kindly helped me scan and pack! Thank you! Your a credit to asda 😀

Till staff 2 girls around age of 20 was lovely and understanding but a lady behind me was getting shouted at by the manager looking guy to hurry up, I felt bad for her I seen her in the seasonal isle 10 mins before closure hurrying up her kids who was looking at Halloween stock

There's a lot of empty shelves lately.

Always did my week shop in here but thinking if to go back or not now. Last 3 times used the scan and go and have to wait an age for checks to be carried out and on one occasion a full trolley check. Then tonight was going to use the till as sick of the scan and go as it has taken more time. Shop for 20 mins to find the tills closed so left the trolley and went Tesco.

I only use Asda for deliveries but because the bulk of them come from the Widnes store I want to comment on the service. Like some in store shoppers I have found that they are frequently out of stock which is available elsewhere. Also, despite paying for goods to be be bagged up, on 3 occasions groceries have been delivered loose. There’s no facility on the website to complain about this and the store isn’t taking phone calls! Very poor service!

Plenty of choice and much cheaper than most other stores. However what lets asda widnes down is the lack of tills open. Ive left and gone elsewhere leaving basket of items because of the slow service and even the self serve have a long line.

One if the worst supermarkets I have ever been in, shelves always half empty always running out of stock, freezers for ice cream over frozen. The shelving is a mess it used to be always fully stocked a store you could rely on if you needed anything, now I would avoid it, Some staff are really nice but some have a bad attitude shrugging their shoulders at you if you ask a question not a nice place to shop its stressful.

Normally I'm happy with the store but today when we had to wear masks for the first time I noticed that half the staff were not wearing them when I asked a supervisor why weren't they wearing them she said that they didn't have to if they didn't want to some of the staff had asma and couldn't were one then I said they can wear a face visor and she couldn't answer that and said she will have to find out also the people who worked in the bakery didn't have one on and didn't even wear gloves when handling the food thank you I'll have a good think about shopping at asda in future

I asked the Pharmacist for painkillers; my filling has come out, and I have toothache all the time. Every few days it flares up and the pain is truly unbearable - Neurofen, Ibuprofen, they don't touch it. With lockdown, I can't just go to a dentist to get the filling fixed, and I followed the advice from 111 and went to a pharmacy. The Pharmacist in Asda didn't listen to me, gave no further advice or help, and I didn't like how she looked at me. Surely there's a better way of judging a situation than based on your own prejudices. In the end I got stronger painkillers from a different pharmacy, which I haven't taken yet as I'm not in fact a junkie, but when the pain feels like half of my body will explode I'll be better able to deal with it. I am just about ready to pull my own tooth out, and all I wanted was help in managing the pain. Thanks for nothing, Asda Pharmacy.

Opened 2 Asda's own chilli con carne ready meals, on 2nd March. They had a use by date of 3rd March, both had green mould in the rice.

Always find a lot of what i want isnt on shelves ,they are always running out of diet lemonade on a regular basis, picked up some dips the other day but they had no breadsticks , they could also do with soeting out the ice cream freezers as they are covered in ice

Quality was very bad wouldn't recommend it as the staff where so rude and the atmosphere was so loud

How was Asda you ask? Well, 12 of the 15 tills closed and 3 people managing the others while a queue of 20 waiting to go thru, so, I'm going to politely say, it was not fun. Suppose that comes from sacking staff that wouldn't sign a pernicious contract.

Prefer the Asda in Runcorn, but still decent.

Not my favourite Asda to go to. It's ok and is as you would expect any Asda to be. The aisle are quite tight and is difficult to navigate especially during peak times. This Asda has a McDonald's attached to it so makes for a convenient meeting place.

Shopping in asda they have thing you cannot get in other stores. And the staff are helpful.

Went to asda in widnes today instead of hunts cross what a mistake that was reminded me of why I dont go to widnes nothing on the shelves and when I asked why was told we are stock taking I get this but people dont stop shopping because you are on stock come on widnes get a grip and get your act together

I'm in here everyday most of the time I find Asda great, the staff are always so friendly and always give a professional customer services. It's a little disappointing that recently they have been low on stock or have ran out of items that my family use on a regular basis.

Clothes for men, women, kids, good variety of food, can get very busy during peak times and long wait times, Widnes has a lot of supermarkets but think this one is the busiest. Parking is good also petrol station on carpark.

Just had an online shop with loads of items missing and mixed up with somebody else's order . Rang customer service and got awful service. Driver came back for items for his next delivery but would not sort ours out will never use again. Went back to the Widnes store and had excellent customer service and sorted the problem out. There online customer service needs sorting out though.

Alway use Asda,but don't always have stock on shelf..

Getting more expensive all the time. Shop around and look in Heron foods and Quality Save... Many items are available at cheaper prices than Asda. Especially sweets. Biscuits. Tinned fish Curry sauces and rice.
