Asda Living Cafe in Flintshire

We have been coming to Broughton Asda for many years and when Xmas shopping we always stop there for lunch. This year however, Friday 30th Nov, it was awful. We were there before 1pm. Festive items were advertised on the counter,but when we tried to order two out of the three options we were told they were not and had not been available as they didn't have the stock. We asked for toasties, but they were not available either. We ended up with three wraps, at £4.95:each, and 2 portions of chips which were over £2 each. When served the wraps were tiny and the chips were too hard to eat. I complained and actually felt sorry the poor lady in the kitchen. We kept the wraps but the chips were inedible. She offered us 2 mince pies which I accepted. (These were Asda's own boxed mince pies which they were selling at £2.59 each!!! I felt well and truly ripped off and had we not been hungry and with a trolley load of shopping to pay for, Iwould have gone elsewhere. In fact, the food was so awful, I really wish we had visited another cafe in the complex, were we would have got decent food for around the same price . This was one of our favourite stores in Broughton, but not any more. I know the cafe is a franchise but Asda, this needs sort ing out!!

Man behind counter extremely rude very unprofessional my cards kept declining for no issue of mine but the machine was not working he made me feel very embarrassed barking at me that it wasn’t the machine as it is only 4 weeks old, my mum then tried and declined hers too I told him how he made me feel and he sniggered stating he done nothing wrong … first and last time I ever go there, we went over to Tesco card worked first time and service was with a snails, far better at tesco

It as living in Coventry lady left a. Poster. On the floor. And my brother slipped over on it started cursing at her a man said to my dad can you tell her to stop cursing at her because we respect our staff here manager wrote a medical form she’s an absolute monster I will kill her

I took my residents from the care home where i am a carer to the cafe in asda at broughton park with 2 other members of staff and 3 disabled residents the man serving behind the counter his name was richard he was so rude i put a complaint in his rudeness upset my 3 ladies im not happy we spent 30 in there and there was no sugar and the way he presented the cream scone was bad i would like someone to ring me please 07395257891 thank you tricia graham

Coffee was cold and sausage bap had 1.5 sausages in them, think the chef must eat one half of a sausage each time.

Called in at lunchtime, on my own, whilst Xmas shopping. Only 2 staff working, one on the till, the other in the kitchen. Both obviously stressed out. Out of a total of 14 tables, 8 were occupied and the remaining 6 were covered with the remains of previous customers meals. I had to clear a table myself in order to sit down. Was then served with a cold, tasteless sausage bap. I don’t blame the staff, there should be more on duty. Last visit there I’m afraid. When I left, 30 minutes later, none of the tables had been cleared.

We went to the café in Broughton on bank Holiday Monday for brunch. Haven't been before but fancied a change to the Tesco and M&S cafés. Gentleman serving us was abrupt, surly. It was only 11am but hardly any food out and the most unappetising counter 'showcasing' what you could have to eat! It all looked tasteless, floppy sandwiches and so called toasties. I should have my my escape then but we were starving. Menu was pretty rubbish, hardly any breakfast items to chose from, nothing cooked available like a cooked breakfast, beans on toast, scrambled egg etc. Hubby ordered a sausage bap and I could sense his disappointment at lack of choice, I just ordered a toasted teacake just to have something. The surly guy was banging about making the coffees, not friendly at all, café was dead at that time on a bank Hol which didn't bode well. When the food was done, we'll just heated up as it turns out, the sausage bap looked absolutely disgusting, it was as flat as a pancake as the guy had put it in a panini maker to heat it up and so came out squashed. My hubby was absolutely disgusted. When he opened it there was no spread, butter or anything, just 3 slices of sausage that looked absolutely disgusting, I wouldn't have fed it to my dogs!! Don't think they would have ate it either!! A complete waste of money and we won't be going back there again!!!

Visited the cafe in Broughton with friends to have a meal. Cafe was not very busy but tables were not cleared of food waste from previous customers. I waited in the queue with 2 friends & we were shocked to observe a male member of staff who was making drinks pick up the cups by the rims not by the handles. He was preparing toasted teacakes & was also touching other non food items items, never attempted to wash his hands between orders. He was not wearing any PPE, apron, mask, or food preparation gloves. Obviously not observing the food hygiene regulations. More training required for your staff ASDA. Needless to say we did not stay, reported the issues to Asda staff member.

Never known such rudeness in my life. Upon attending yesterday a Saturday at 4 pm I asked if they had any hot food available as a quick snack. I was abruptly told there is no hot food. I asked if there was any sandwiches, again in the same abrupt manner I was advised just what you can see. With that we grabbed a drink and cakes and sat. As it was busy but there was a large number of tables waiting to be cleared I accepted that the cafe was somewhat messy. I was surprised to learn that it didn’t close until 6 pm. I was even more surprised when the same rude lady he told me that was never the food brought hot food out to the customers and then went to open the shutter wow that was a whole array of sandwiches available. I today called to speak to the cafe and find out who runs it and the gentleman at the cafe believe his name is the cafe when I asked for the head office number he has no idea what it is or where it’s located I realised there was no point in asking more of him, I think that was the best but he was capable of giving. I googled call the head office in Birmingham where the delightful person I spoke to him just wanted an argument with that I ended the call and sent them an email. I today called to speak to the cafe and find out who runs it and the gentleman at the cafe believe his name is the cafe when I asked for the head office number he has no idea what it is or where it’s located I realised there was no point in asking more of him, I think that was the best but he was capable of giving. Called in for a brew n light bite! Grabbed a cheese sandwich along with 2 cream teas! Disspointed that there was no cream to go on scones and the sandwich was way over priced with bearly no filling! Won’t recommend nor call again! Staff were rushed off their feet... more needed!! Local customer! 😔

I visited Asda cafe for lunch this afternoon.. I asked the lady who served me who seemed to be the manager for a sausage baguette and was told she had no sausage left. Even though there were sausage baguettes in the fridge!! I settled with a cheese and onion toastie which looked like something you would give to a child it was that small and flimsy.. Overall it cost me £6.00 for a toastie, drink and crisps. Tad overpriced and very slow service

Called in for a coffee and hot chocolate staff was lovely and very helpful but the hit chocolate was far to sweet so I ask for a replacement which the young lady was happy to do To be honest the whole experience was not great for start to finish Asda need to sort this cafe out or close it down There’s plenty of better places to eat and drink in Broughton Park

Visited 16th for quick breakfast, first customer in the place, sorry guys but dirty tables and floor food mediocre coffee very nice, had flavoured latte. My panini took ages to materialise too. Wouldn’t visit again

Called for cake and coffee,service very slow staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing,limited choice for early afternoon.

Cafe is dirty and in desperate need of an overhaul. Trays, tables and highchair were all filthy with ingrained dirt. Food was disgusting, tasteless and overpriced. A large sign advertised free baby food when ordering food. When I asked about it, staff said no we haven't got any. No apology, no explanation. My sister went downstairs into the store and bought some baby food and came back to the cafe with it. Why couldn't the staff do this?? Honestly I would highly recommend AVOIDING this place

Went to add a home restaurant for lunch.i had a panini with salad and wedges.the panini was not to bad the salad was brown and dry .the wedges were microwaved to heat they were not fresh.i asked for vinegar they didn't have any.there was a big blue bottle sat in display cabinet .and a few customers commented on this.the experience was unforgettable. Disgusting .

Read the other reviews.....but...it is what it is, a cafe within a store, the girl that served us was absolutely lovely. Had drinks only, but have had a snack there before which was ok. I think you also have to realise that there are probably staff shortages too, I work in a supermarket and staff are sometimes spread VERY thinly..a bit of patience is needed at times.

Overpriced, limited selection, dirty tables chairs and floor, stale cake. The staff were friendly though.

Was feeling unwell whilst shopping in the store next door, popped in for a cuppa and a bit to eat. Was served by Steve, who was busy cleaning the tables, but let me know he would be with me in a minute. He was very helpful and friendly, sorted me out with a panini and tea with soya milk. Thanks Steve.

Plastered all over the wall it says free bibs and baby cutlery but guess what none available. Also advertises free baby feed with adult meal guess what not available!!

Very pleasant staff, flat bread with ham, cheese and tomato chutney, and a small side salad 🥗. Washed down with a skinny latte.

Fuimos de compras en el parque antes de la venta, había alrededor de 3 mesas con clientes en ellos. Sin embargo, cada mesa bandejas individuales había utilizado y tazas en ellos. Tuve que ir y claro uno antes de poder sentarse, fuimos a ponerlo en el estante y que también estaba completamente lleno.

We stopped for a chai latte which was lovely and much better priced than some more popular cafes!! Staff friendly if a bit slow on making the coffees. Would return

Como estábamos al final de el parque comercial pensamos decidimos ir a Asda en vez de costa para un cambio. Me atrevo a ver la cafetería asda cuando estaba ocupado. 2 rollos cálido caliente, bebidas y una parte de las cuñas de patata. Los rollos llegaron finalmente bien - que puede haber sido buena, pero nos habían perdido interés en ese momento. Al lado teníamos la llegada del té y el café, ni especialmente bueno o malo (sosa?) Después de las rondas habituales de "cuál es el suyo como".. "No quieres probar esto? "no había ninguna señal de las cuñas y ahora teníamos todo pero terminado los rollos. Levantarse de la mesa para preguntar a alguien donde el resto de nuestra orden era/es que hay listas/peligro de conseguir el resto de nuestra Orden, que aterrizó en nuestra mesa sin comentario.

Oh my goodness where do I start went shopping to broughton lunch time we were hungry went to Costa which was busy so decided to call here as I've eaten before and always been OK for a quick snack myself daughter and grandson. Got to counter no one about waited 2 minutes then rang the bell for service as advised on sign next to the bell out comes a very disinterested girl who took our order of a cheese and ham toastie a tuna and cheese toastie a sausage roll 2 teas and a juice 2 slices of cake. We were told to take a seat and she would call when toasties were done. There were no uncluttered tables so we cleared one and waited. When called I went up to the counter for the said toasties the ham one was cut and presented OK the tuna one was like nothing I'd ever seen I looked for the girl but she had disappeared again so I then looked for a manager but there was no one about and a huge queue as we were in a rush we drank our tea and ate our food and left I have since contacted the catering company 3 times emailed asda 2 and had no response I have put up pictures as this was served to me I will never eat or visit this cafe ever again.

Metimos en con un amigo para un bocado rápido en un viaje de compras de Navidad. Servicio eficiente y agradable y limpia cubiertos y vasos. La comida estaba caliente y las mesas y sillas estaban limpias.

Pensamos que hubiera un rápido café mientras compras, normalmente ir a Costa, pero ya que estábamos en Asda pensamos que lo prueba su cafetería. Menuda decepción! El personal era, por lo general muy amable, pero el café era repugnante! Un capuchino que sabía a luke warm leche era volver a ser sustituido por una oportunidad doble de Burnt degustación, líquido plana. Cometimos el error de elegir un bollo, el cherry era un distintivo cutre color y la textura de la mezcla era simplemente una comida indigesta inglesa pesado!
