Travelling back from Kinning Park with my eldest son, I decided to stop off here for a bite to eat as I needed to pick up a few things anyway. Overall, it was some good scran. Aside from the food, I also thought it was brilliantly priced (Kids eating for just £1), the staff were decent and the cleanliness of the seating area was on point. In comparison to the Morrison’s café in Anniesland, which has plummeted in quality over the last four months, it really was night and day in comparison. I opted for the Sweet Chilli Chicken Panini (lovely) and a Cappuccino (unfortunately the machine only poured 2/3 of a mug). The wee man had Pancakes, Crisps and a Fruit Shoot (unfinished but he seemed happy enough with it). I was impressed with the choice on offer - it certainly exceeded what I’d expect from a Supermarket café. Being a fan of Rangers, I’ll most likely be in the area again very soon and would happily head back to Asda.

What can I say? Early start one Sunday morning before a 500 mile drive home and needed something to eat. Coming across Asda, we felt we would get a decent breakfast at a good price, so headed in. Place deserted, so we had the breakfast on offer and arranged our drinks, heading for seats as it was being brought to us. Arrived pretty quickly but to be honest it was disappointing. 2 fried eggs (one on top of the other), a couple of overcooked bacon rashers, beans which were a bit congealed, nice tomato half and two nice link sausages and a hash brown. None of which was particularly hot - warm but not hot. The guy serving was in my opinion, in the wrong job as no interaction from him other than a grunt in the appropriate place. Certainly no communications skills were being displayed. The eggs could be sliced they were so overdone. The bacon was harder and it was easier to pull it apart than cut it (don't think a poor knife helped) and the hash brown was soft rather than being crisp. The beans/tomato were beans/tomato and by the time I got to the sausages, they were cold although, they were pretty good quality. There is a saying that you get what to you pay for and frankly, i feel that we were overcharged. Not a particularly attractive restaurant and one which I am unlikely to revisit.

I visited The Lauder in Sauchihsll Street in October 2919 when it reopened after the fire that destroyed the buildings next to it we were served beautifully cooked and very tasty food. I have visited Glasgow twice since then last week ( end of February 20w9) being the most recent and it is now my choice of place to eat. The staff are great easpecially one young lady called Lynn who has been the ultimate in custoner service. Even remembering me from previous visits and ensuring that I get a table and great service. I will be back as not only is the foid well cooked and presebted it is great value for money .

I am attending at course at the Clyde College and this wee cafe happens to be nearby - it's very convenient for lunch when I have classes the whole day. I had lunch in a couple of occasions so far, I tried their soup and jacket potato. The prices are affordable, the food is good and the staff are super friendly.
