I had problems at the checkout and wanted to say that James was amazing! So understanding and helpful even though it was busy he didn't rush me, he listened then sorted it out quietly without rushing me. Thank you James! We need more like you.

I popped in for a quick breakfast. I thought it would make a change from Mac D's across the road. I saw the £4 deal listed on the menu, and asked for a bacon roll and a Latte. I was charged £4.60 as apparently that's a posh coffee, so extra. No exceptions were mentioned in the menu. Oh well, still a bargain I thought. The assistant said to sit down and my order would be brought over. After some considerable time a bacon roll arrived - It was not as if they were busy, there were only two other people in the restaurant. The roll was tiny and the bacon underdone and very fatty and greasy. I was difficult to digest without the coffee which hadn't arrived with it. I eventually went back to the counter and tried to attract the attention of the assistant, who was now sat in the kitchen. I asked politely where my coffee was. She gave me an empty mug and pointed to a machine behind me. The coffee was awful - tasteless and luke warm. I was surprised in this day and age that a help yourself machine was seen as acceptable. I left the remains behind and headed for Mac D's, never to return.

My wife and I visited this cafe for breakfast and ordered a coffee and bacon bap each .First problem had to wait for the coffee , one machine out of order and the other one had to be repaired . We sat down at a table and after about 10 minutes our meal arrived ,not what we had ordered . We were told they had run out of baps ( the cafe is part of the supermarket ) so what we had were two slices of very low quality white bread ,two portions of butter and a bit of bacon on each plate . I asked if I could have brown bread instead but was told they had run out ,yet two minutes later another customer had brown toast ! I could not eat this rubbish so I left it , my wife did manage to eat hers but did not enjoy it . Over the years we have been regular customers of this cafe and have seen the standards slowly deteriorate ,we won't be back .

We normally stop for lunch here when shopping at Atlantic Village, this time we were able to sample their new pizzas. Wow, £7 for a 16inch pizza prepared on site. The pizza was so tasty and great value. Also as we had a latte each we were able to take advantage of there deal and purchased a piece of cake for £1 each. Only downside is the cafe is a little small, so can get very busy, The staff were really friendly, happy and keen to do a job well, the tables were clean and staff attentive.

I enjoy cooking Chinese food but treated myself to a take away. It was edible but nothing to go back for? We had house special rice - house special chow mein some Sweet and sour prawn balls and two panckake rolls. The sauce came in a tiny pot and was weak? The pancake rolls were small at 2.80 each! They don't even give gesture of a few prawn crackers with orders of approx £25. I'll be sticking to my own wok from now on : tip lucky boat noodles sold on line, sesame oil, nut oil, shoaxing rice wine, msg for extra umami flavour, light soy dark soy, goldfish curry sauce concentrate and lee kum kee sweet and sour sauce. For chow mein - lucky boat noodles - boil 6 mins let stand hot water 4 mins rinse and drain very well - fry onion in wok with small oil amount add noodles add cup of bean sprouts, splash dark soy to colour, splash light soy, splash rice wine capful at most, splash sesame oil, sprinkle of msg half teaspoon - stir fry few mins - Add cooked meat of choice like pre poached chicken. Good luck !!

Unfortunately, our visit to The Harbour in Clovelly didn’t live up to expectations. The garlic chili gambas was underwhelming—swimming in oil and lacking in real depth of flavour. The pepperoni pizza was definitely from frozen. The food was served in takeaway containers with wooden cutlery that struggled to do the job, which really took away from the overall experience. While the quay view is undeniably lovely, it seems that’s what you’re mainly paying for. A disappointing stop in an otherwise charming village.

Went here as a family, luckily we had no young children because where the snooker table is, there was a large group of drinkers some of whom were very loud and constantly using foul language. I’m not a kill joy but do feel that the snooker table is in completely the wrong place and spoils the nice relaxed atmosphere for a nice evening meal. I think the staff should have stepped in to stop the language. Would not make me want to return.
