I had a perfect cappuccino. The froth and the flavour were just right. Also lovely ambience and good selection of cakes including Anzac cookies

On the corner of the street this a small independent coffee shop/cafe serving excellent hot drinks. We were given a nice welcome and efficient service. It seemed to be popular with local inhabitants

Vibrant coffee shop with a warm welcome, friendly and helpful staff. Was very busy when I went but staff were brilliant. I only had a coffee, I tried a batch brew and it was absolutely delicious. Will definitely be visiting again to try some of the food.

A street corner cafe with excellent coffee and professional polite staff. Perfect respite from the busy Putney high street.

We've been boycotting this place because of its plandemic attitude. The refusal to give you a proper china cup and plate even when sitting inside. That unpleasant "no mask, no coffee" sign on the door during the plandemic (no other shop did this - it's nearly as nasty of them as those hostile signs in banks and public transport berating and threatening all customers because of the 0.5% troublemakers). Lately, dropped in to pick up a bag of coffee beans only to find, when we got it home, that it was out of date! Also bought a coffee to go but it was definitely not as good as it used to be. Maybe the beans they were using were also old? For us, this used to be the only place for coffee. Pity about the slipping standards.

I have been a couple of times recently and met with what I can only describe as ‘an attitude’ from the baristas when I ask for extra hot coffee. I know it burns the beans and all that but I don’t like my coffee lukewarm I’ve stopped going as a result as I found it uncomfortable.

I have been getting my coffee from Artisan in Putney on my way to work for the last few years. They hands down to the BEST coffee in Putney! If you fancy getting yourself a treat, the almond croissants and the ham and cheese toasties are incredible. They also sell laminations and ANZAC biscuits, if any fellow Aussies want a taste of home. Their staff are also super friendly and often chat to their regular customers.

Artisan has the advantage of being away from the main centre of Putney and therefore, in the current circumstances, you are possibly more able to obtain a table than elsewhere. It had both well-distanced tables inside and outside. Safety measures were good and, although we had gone for coffee, it was such a hot day that we settled for pleasant cold drinks with ice, at excellent prices, I assume as it was a Monday. A delightful find.

Staying in Putney for a few weeks, this cafe was recommended to me by an acquaintance. After a few visits I was made uncomfortably aware that as a single woman I was an anomaly whose tendency to take a seat at the bar indicated less than honourable intentions. Actually, being a retired school teacher who just likes looking out the window, I have chosen to take my custom elsewhere but i have found the entire experience unpleasant, not to say humiliating. This is not a female-friendly place, if you are on your own.

Flat white was aweful. Where was the coffee?? Guys you can do much better.... Croissant was poor too. Gregg's does better quality. As in frequent visitor (living in Scotland) it doesn't make me want rush back . I needed a Nero coffee to feel better.

My brother and family live in this cafe!! All they ever talk about is Artisan, the coffee being the best in the world etc etc. Well, i went i saw i conquered, and thought it pretty average. Maybe they had built up my hopes too much. Cookies and cakes very yummy and the staff do a good job considering having the whole of Putney inside. Lol

I’ve been twice now, coffee is good, but the staff is unfriendly and not at all concerned with their clients. Very poor treatment when the waitress messed up the order, I didn’t even get an apology. There are thousands of coffee shops in London. Customer service is your number one tool to standing out from the crowd. Hope this is addressed, or else I won’t be coming back.

What makes the Artisan stand out is not the coffee or the baked goods (you can get the same product at a thousand places in London), but the atmosphere. With windows wide open on a warm day, this makes for perfect people watching!

I have used this cafe for many years and since the proprietor Ali left it seems to have lost it’s way as on a number of occasions they are advertising dishes on their menu which they no longer prepare or have the ingredients for, therefor they need to update the menu to reflect what is currently available. I have also noticed that the sauce bottles they use have broken lids and could potentially be unhygienic.. A tweak here and there would benefit.

Here just for drinks while we waited to check in to Premier Inn just round the corner. Service was okay and coffee okay. Seems to be a café /coffee shop to bring your gadgets and look at your screen. Depends upon your point of view whether that is good, bad or indifferent.

We've been here before, maybe a year ago and the experience was good, however on this occasion it was poor. We selected what we wanted from the website menu however when we arrived it was apparent that the website menu was out of date; some of our selections were not on the table menu. Two of our party selected Sausages and mash but there were no sausages so had to select something else. Three of us ordered fish & chips but bizarrely there was no vinegar available. It's the first establishment I've ever been to where you couldn't get vinegar with fish and chips. One of our party ordered a burger which was supposed to have two patties but was more like one and a half. He went to complain about it but nobody came back to us. When paying at the bar I mentioned the burger issue and the guy I was talking to went off to check with the server and he knocked this meal off the bill. I also pointed out that they had missed £60 worth of wine off the bill. He added it on to the bill but I didn't get any thanks for this. Wish I hadn't bothered now. I feel that the main issue however was the demeanour of the staff. Instead of "I'm awfully sorry we've ran out of vinegar" and maybe an explanation of why, it was "we haven't got any vinegar". It wasn't " I'm really sorry, we've had a run on the sausages and there aren't any left" or something like that, it was "we haven't got any sausages", It wasn't "we're really sorry the burger meal wasn't up to our usual standard" or something like that, it was "I've knocked it off the bill". It wasn't "oh, that's really good of you to let us know we'd missed the wine off the bill" or something like that. It was, well nothing really, it just got added to the bill. It was if having customers there was an inconvenience to the staff. There was minimal eye contact, no smiles and avoiding contact with customers as much as possible appeared evident. Wish we had gone somewhere else. We certainly won't be going again. I'm writing this in response to an email from the Nine Elms Tavern saying that my option matters. It will be interesting to see what, if any, response I get to this.

Have been visiting bi-annually for last 3 or 4 years. October 2024 visit very disappointing. Menu has been shortened and made very generic. Decor is tired. Staff are still pleasant but the buzzy ambience and perception of leading the trends are gone.
