Aroma coffee shop in Bridgend

Been going to Aromas for many years, alway a warm welcome from the staff especially by Nicky the manager, always helpful and polite and always take time to ensures your well catered for, Alan and Gaynor

This has to be the best cafe in Bridgend. It's always clean and tidy and seems to attract only people who know how to behave in a coffee shop, unlike the local Costa.

Went here for the first time today and it is worth it, worth every penny

Eat here at intervals, convenient to meet friends for a coffee...service friendly and staff helpful but the cakes are hugely overpriced ...and overall expensive. Ambience and decor good

Raspberry Victoria sponge was delicious! Great tasting coffee too but cappuccino cups extremely small so you only actually get a few mouthfuls of coffee once the froth is removed.

A beautiful place. Visited this for the first time and found it very clean, friendly and good selection of meals and drinks. Will definitely be using it again in the future.

Busy cafe at times and a bit expensive for what u purchase. But the food is good and the coffee to. Staff friendly and kept very busy. Worth a visit. No longer operates a loyalty scheme.has extended it's opening hours

What a lovely cafe! I always order scrambled eggs with smoked salmon for a breakfast treat. Gave in to a scone and cream - but well worth the calories! Lush flat white too and I love the new layout and soft furnishing! ❤️

A very spacious and comfortable cafe with friendly staff. It's not easy to serve properly cooked poached eggs but they do here; mine were delicious! A good choice of freshly brewed coffee and teas with a fab selection of cakes are available if you just want a light bite. There's a large outdoor area to the rear, perfect for hot sunny days and a few tables outside the front. Overall, I thoroughly recommend you call in when you're passing.

The milkshakes here are beautiful 👌 So are the mochas.

Sat outside had jumbo fish finger brown bread sandwich with salad it was the best one that I have tasted. Staff were very friendly and efficient.

Well what can I say ! Very poor menu majority of food is served with fries 🙈 not a chip on there but as it was 2.30 I was already seated and thought why not give it a try so I opted for freshly carved ham and chips sorry fries it arrived on a cold plate with a piece of packet plastic ham cut in half fries where just warm and some rock hard pease dreadful and the meal was £9 pounds shocking they will definitely not be getting me in there again, hardly testing the chef’s imagination I’d give it a miss for food if I was you They should just stick to coffee and cakes

Had a lovely coffee here today. It was lovely to sit in the garden and enjoy. It was family friendly and the staff were very polite and helpful. Will definitely go back again. The coffee was a little pricier than chains but nice to support a smaller business.

I have had lovely food here although it is expensive.

This cafe is always busy and is a great place to meet for coffee. The prices are a little expensive. For example a sandwich is about £5 (depending on the filling) with a garnish of crisps.

Disappointing- tables full of dirty dishes & food remnants from previous customers while staff sit and have lunch and coffees -not cleared whole time we were there. 1pm in day no brown bread although on their menu.

A cosy cafe with an intimate, friendly feel to it. Highly recommended.

Had a cooked breakfast here today. Unfortunately the plates were cold so our food cooked right down quickly. The staff all looked quite fed up.

Visited Aroma Cafe on multiple occasions now, it has always been consistently good service and the coffees and food should be enough to please anyone

Everything I've eaten there has been cooked very well, and exactly to taste if you just ask. I'm so fussy with coffee that they provide hot milk with a shot of coffee on the side. Nothing's too much trouble!

Ordered an Omelette and a soft drink and I was shocked when I got to the till and it was just under £10 for the order. Had to pay extra for the mushrooms and the can of soft drink was £2.20!! We were time limited so I paid anyway. The omelette was cooked fresh and very nice but didn't have any accompaniments. I should have read menu more accurately but wrongly assumed paying £7, it would have had at least some salad with it. Service was absolutely fine and food was lovely but I am disappointed to say it was very overpriced.

My only positives were the polite staff, the cafe was clean and the toast was lovely. Other than that..It was a cafe full of bored OAP customers. The food wasn’t the best, 2 breakfasts, 2 latte’s £20. I thought this was expensive. The bacon was tough, the scrambled egg was wet, like it was left over omelette warmed up. The baked beans tasted cheap, the latte was a glass of sugary warm milk. Hate going to town as it is, definitely wouldn’t rush back.

wow what can I say compliments to the chef ordered Welsh rarebit and ommlette absolutely delicious free WiFi so my child was happy coffee was good also friendly service and all staff welcoming would recommend well worth it will be back.

Popped into Bridgend town centre (because we had to) and found this delight. Hidden behind some tents we were lucky to find the entrance but were glad we persevered.

Nice place for a coffee and scone

Cafe Aroma is Bridgend's excellent coffee shop. The coffee really is excellent. Far better than that served in Costa. The breakfast here is also well worth having. There are additional nicies ( cakes) to choose from, to enjoy with tea ( if coffee is not your thing), in pleasant surroundings served by considerate and attentive staff. Best in town by some distance....

Went with my friend for some tea and crumpets. The crumpets were perfect and the tea was lovely. It was reasonably priced and the staff were friendly . The cafe was clean and spacious.

We went to have brunch there yesterday mid morning for breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful and polite. The coffee shop was very busy. Loved it so much.

Meet friends for coffee and cake here most Fridays . Good place to meet up. Loverly cakes can well recommend.

We went in while I was doing some film work in this miserable unfriendly town, the Aroma cafe was a haven and offered a good selection of cakes. Like others without prior warning you get a whammie at the till, they don't take cards-who carries cash these days you just tap a box, I know the whole town is in a time warp from Stalinist Soviet Union but this is beyond belief.

The food was nice, the milk was burnt in the Latta and the plate was chipped

This Coffee Shop is nicely decorated and it always seems spotlessly clean. The prices are a little expensive but you get what you pay for (almost) and it's always nice to relax and have a good old chinwag in lovely surroundings and to be fair the staff have always been polite, friendly and helpful but the only thing that lets it down is the very slow, completely disjointed table service because you either get your food and you have to send a search party out for your tea/coffee etc or you get your drink ages before your food arrives at your table.

A real jewel in the centre of town!! A pleasure to sit inside compared to other establishments in Bridgend.

Dreadful service. My jacket potato was gone off the salad was meagre. My partners order was incorrect. Very over priced. I doubt this place will be open in 12months! Terrible!

Terrible!!! Most overpriced cafe I have ever been to. Portions are tiny and the quality is poor. Staff were not the most friendly, helpful and the service is slow. I will avoid in future.

it does have a 5 star rating . That said i found it expensive for what was a basic food and drink menu. Take cash with you as card payment is NOT accepted. I did not see any notices regarding this and only found out because i asked before ordering. Due to this and being told ( in not a quiet way) to go to a ATM to fetch some cash i settled for just a latte only instead of lunch . This was a nice coffee but a small cup. ie, a lot smaller than a reg costa but more expensive.

Aroma is our regular Saturday morning visit with all the family. Staff are very friendly especially Chris. Great cup of coffee, teacake and a lovely cooked breakfast Delighted to see they now use cardboard straws instead of plastic 👏

I love this place, friendly staff with a great atmosphere. Child friendly too. Prices are comparable with the big chains but the service is more personalised x
