There was a band on Friday night and it was a great night out

Not powerchair friendly waited in the beer garden for 15 minutes as there was steps to the bar, l phoned but no-one answered but at least my daughter played on the park

Called in to watch the band Carnival, John the landlord and his staff are very friendly, clean pub and a nice pint

Lovely little pub, very friendly bar staff, good range of beers at very competitive prices. The night we visited the pub hosted a "Open Mike night" very impressed by the many talented musicians.

Really enjoyed my time here took my daughter to a birthday party and the outside area is well secure so you don't have to worry. Lovely atmosphere and nice decor since the revamp

The staff here are the most amazing people ever. This pub has been my family’s “local” since before I can remember. The best place to go in chesterfield. The live music on the weekends is absolutely outstanding and the beer is even better.

I've visited here once, a while ago. It was okay. It looks nice and tidy.

Friendly bar staff and good beer

Taken over by new owners and completely rejuvenated. Half a dozen cask ales on the bar at a standard £2.80 each (to make paying uncomplicated). Blues nights, Jazz nights, Comedy nights, you name it - they do it. Rustic food (whatever that is?). A lot more now than just the fresh coat of paint on the outside. Sept 20 2015 It has now closed down under somewhat mysterious circumstances. Oct 14 Open again - as busy as ever
