The Industry Inn in Chesterfield

Needed somewhere to sit and edit some video as the missus was working in a nearby school. It was cold and raining, and I came upon this pub which looked warm and welcoming. The moment I entered I was immediately warmly welcomed and another log was put on the real fire! As I was driving I couldn’t drink, and when I asked if I could have a cup of tea (must admit, this was a first for me!) and it duly turned up…free of charge!! In a cold world where everyone seems to only be looking out number one, this was a real breath of fresh air, and something I haven’t experienced for a long, long time. The music that was playing was cool, middle of the road stuff at a spot on volume. The whole pub was spotlessly clean, there’s a pool table, and everything you’d expect in a great local. If I lived around here, it would 💯be my choice!. I’ll make sure to come back, and the missus will have to drive!! Thoroughly recommended 👍

Year 13 prom ruined by ignorant staff. Called a young adult a nonce for enjoying his prom with his girlfriend he was 18 and she’s 17 (about to turn 18). Staff member was rude and disrespectful. Would not recommend as they also refused to serve alcohol even when id was provided. Absolute disgusting atmosphere provided by staff.

Lovely pub. First impression was its cleanliness! Cracking pint of Wainwright and son in law stated how good his Guinness was. Sky Sports. Nice warm welcome.

Excellent friendly place, very welcoming - currently not doing food unless for a special occasion

There is no other way to describe this. It's a proper pub. Very friendly and fun.

Sunday 11th June 2023 We visited this great locals pub on the outskirts of Chesterfield next to the Chesterfield Arms A propper locals 19 20s public house with great people drinking inside and land lord a proper person who knows his onions Comfortable background music and the real ales were in fine fettle tonight Well done all involved😁

Called in for a quick pint after finishing work on Friday 24th March with my partner and small dog (yorkshire terrier). We seated ourselves on a small table at the side of the bar out of the way of everyone. I placed my jacket on the seat and picked Benji up (the dog) to sit with us. The young girl behind the bar with blond hair was lovely and even brought him some fresh water to drink, then, i assume, forgive me if I'm wrong, the landlady walked behind the bar and leaned over to say "What are you doing up there bugalugs?" To which i said "oh im sorry, should he be on the floor?" To which the lady leaned over the bar, looked me in the face and said "well, no animal should be on the furniture should they??"if that's the case then 1. Put a clear sign up saying so and 2. Make sure your staff pre warn everone that enters your premises with a dog that they are not to be lifted on seats.

Really enjoy coming here. As soon as you walk in you can smell how clean the place is. The bar staff are really friendly and even after just a short time of coming here remembers our drinks and promptly serves us with a smile. It's warm with the open fire, watching tv sport and has really friendly customers too. Thankyou for your good service, some places that just seems to much hard work for them but not here ☺️ cheers, see you Sunday 🍻

Had a nice catchup with friends over Christmas here. The bar staff were really friendly, it has a decent pool table, it is what I would call a proper pub.

Sunday lunch is excellent and you get plenty food I go here on sundays with my partner when I come home from working away, amie

Great atmosphere. hot, fresh food and plenty of it. In a separate room to the main bar, great outside seating area and a car parking. Brilliant

One of Chesterfield's last remaining "true" pubs, where you can meet up with very friendly people and do what men (and the odd woman,lol) used to do in pubs . . drink and talk. No kids running around and no families coming in for their burgers & chips all day long although they do do a nice Sunday dinner.

Just love that private little corner at the side of the bar where I can sit out of the way content to ignore and be ignored!

Clean, tidy. Cheap. Went to meet our eldest son and for the first time in this pub, it seemed OK. Was quiet when we got there, but slowly filled up. No parking as I could see of, outside seating was tidy and clean.

This pub was near where we were staying and when we walked past in the morning we thought the pub was shut! However, when we returned it was open. We tried next door first, but couldn't get past the bar flies so we tried here instead. The beer prices were reasonable and we enjoyed sitting in their beer garden out front. Definitely worth a visit!

Great local pub! Has a pool table room that's attached to one side of the bar and then a little darts room with a sofa that also has access to a part of the bar. Has plenty of outdoor seating too and there are quizzes on certain nights. Lovely friendly staff too :)

Nice pub, visited on a rainy Friday so not very busy, great people in though,, always busy when I've previously been in,, can't help the English summer time,, been back it's a proper little jem. Clean and friendly, plenty of character both sides of the bar .

Lovely pub selling a good range of real ales, lagers, spirits etc. Landlord very friendly and welcoming. Occasional live music.
