Aria Restaurant in Birmingham

We came in for my friend’s birthday and the staff were very accommodating and lovely. Shruti especially, was sooo nice. One of the few things she did for us was , she made sure we had drinks that matched our dresses and we didn’t even have to ask for it. Everything about the tea party was lovely and we really had a great time.

Had lunch with my husband there .. perfect ambiance , quiet , peaceful and amazingly beautiful full of colours all around .. food was good professionally served and loved the desserts and coffee just the way I like it .. had very good experience there highly recommend 🥂

Relaxing environment with top-quality food.

Truly our best dining experience on Grand Caymen and our server Nikko curated an outstanding meal for us to enjoy! The Baba ghanoush was seasoned perfectly, followed by tenderly fried calamari and then on to tafka which was soft and beyond flavorful. However the BEST delight of our night was the stuffed eggplant and I will return just for this chef’s masterpiece. On a side note, we felt cozy and welcomed, as well as appreciated guests, which is truly special during the high season. I highly recommend and will gladly return! Enjoy!

Lacklustre afternoon tea. Positives swapped out sandwiches. Service was hit and miss. Tea selection was at the front of the entrance nowhere else. No drinks menu was given. English breakfast tea or coffee. Expected to be given a set of options even verbally but it was just tea or coffee.. Appreciate it’s Monday but staff member disappeared when trying to get the bill. Considering some photos where the food offerings were plentiful… ours was quite a sparse afternoon tea experience. But what was there the pastries and desserts were tasty. Sandwiches okay. Great location lots of light one for the influencers…

The best Afternoon Tea experience from food to ambience of the place. Friendly service and the food were freshly prepared and good portions. Free refills of tea and coffee. We would definitely visit again with the family on another special occasion

Delicious food with very attentive service. Set menu is well priced and had vegan options. No vegan dessert on the menu but they were able to make a dessert which was tasty.

We had a lovely anniversary dinner here today with Le Petit Chef. The concept works really well and is a great way to shorten the wait between courses. The food was cooked to perfection. Especially the beef fillet was outstanding. Our waitress was amazing and made the whole experience that much better. Very attentive and helpful, despite us having been the only guests for this session today.

I had a delightful experience this morning, and a significant part of that was thanks to our waiter, Jeni. From the moment we were seated, she made us feel warmly welcomed. She was very attentive without being intrusive and anticipated our needs perfectly.

Outstanding afternoon tea today! The food was delightful (particularly the open sandwiches), the setting is beautiful and relaxing and our waiter Milan was so lovely and made my nan's birthday extra special. Highly recommended!

Always wanted to be first for breakfast at an hotel, guess that's a sad ambition but it took 65 years to achieve it 😂 So, staying at the Hyatt Regency here in Birmingham, and not for the first time. Breakfast staff were excellent, thank you. Main area of concern is the plate warmer. Nothing worse than a cold breakfast, food is hot, plate is cold, back to the table and.. well, you know. Combine that with a low ambient temperature and it's such a shame because the food quality is quite good, and there is plenty of choice. Absolutely love the smoothies If the plates had been reasonably warm it would have been an excellent breakfast, but it's a shame that a decent picture is ruined by a rubbish frame.

Went to the Aria for an afternoon tea birthday celebration. It’s normally quite difficult to get anyone to do extras during the Christmas period for a birthday, but nothing was too much trouble for Aria. The atmosphere was lovely and welcoming. The staff were even more welcoming and the food was amazing. They even did a birthday message on a platter with cake for my daughter! Thank you so much for the beautiful experience.

Its just lovly here. Chill and lovly.

Afternoon tea was OK, scones where served raw and took a long time to be served! Other than that was quite average! Restaurant it self is nice

Great place to have dinner with friends and family

Requested reservations at Aria and didn't even get confirmation on whether the reservation was accepted or rejected! Emails tells you the reservation team will be in touch. Even called through to the hotel and they passed a message on and still nothing. I saw reviews about the service not being great, glad I didn't go here now if they can't even be bothered to reach out to customers.

Food was OK. Duch was over cooked. Service took way too long. Nearly 3 hours. Wait staff seemed to be distracted. Had to plea for attention.

Delicious food with good service. But some guests are noise distributing other guests. Hope the staff can maintain a silent environment.

Great service, Hussain provided us with great service. Went for afternoon to celebrate a birthday, and they added a personal touch by putting up a happy birthday banner and a complimentary happy birthday confectionery.

I had Christmas buffet at the Aria restaurant here. Meal itself was ok even though the range was narrow. The female toilet was reduced to just one working and even the functional one had no toilet paper. We had to wait for staff to go out to get fresh Stock of tissue.. The toilet seat was sized such that it split the bowl into two! I was willing to ignore all this as overall the experience was ok until I received a parking ticket today for having parked right on the premises! (Pls bear in mind that I had previously parked publicly on the day and when I checked the parking sign at church, it said exempt from payment on Christmas Day and Bank holidays). On arrival at Hyatt, I didn’t notice any parking payment request. Why would I have made effort to look for one? I was literally a guest at their service! I paid £75 for the buffet, and that could not cover parking or decent toilet facilities? I called today to express my displeasure and at a point, the staff who picked up let out a prolonged laughed which got me upset. How much tone deaf or lacking in empathy could you be to laugh at my upset? I literally said I didn’t find the situation funny to which she said she didn’t appreciate me raising my voice! That was me upset, not even with raised tones, but she found it funny! And she proceeded to cut the call. This is beyond abysmal and cheap! I can assure you that the value of the service at the buffet was overpriced for £75, the least you could do with the extra profit would have been to add on complementary service!

Horrendous!!! Ordered 2 sandwiches at 1pm eventually delivered at 2pm after chasing 3 times. Eventually apologised and allowed off charge. Understand hospitality struggling as in same industry but very disappointed

Had a lovely meal here with my daughter for her 21st birthday. The food was delicious and the service by Shrey was outstanding. Thank you Shrey for looking after us and making it a special evening.

We came here for afternoon tea, to celebrate a special occasion. I had pre-booked to ensure the restaurant knew our diatory requirements. The staff were professional, welcoming and excellent with attention to detail. A stunning deep red, fresh floral centrepiece adorned the table, which was a truly thoughtful gesture. They also created a beautiful pink 'congratulations' platter with petite cakes. We had different types of teas including gluten free, pescetarian and meat. The ingredients were fresh, tasty and well presented. Three of us had champagne. The cost was £120 and worth every penny. l would certainly recommend the Aria to others. The ambience was also calming and very attractive.

Amazing ambience at the Aria restaurant which opens out into the lobby of the Hyatt Regency under a glass atrium. We went for afternoon tea which was OK and did not make the mark. We felt the sandwiches were a bit underfilled and dry at the edges. 3 varieties if scones...plain fruit and chocolate chip were not light and fluffy. The pastries were good, however the lemon posset was served in a narrow small glass container without a teaspoon small enough to get into the glass or without any teaspoon! We had to use the knife to get it out onto a plate so we could eat it. Service was courteous but could do with being more present in the restaurant and attentive to customers, ( fir eg ask if everything was OK). Lack of attention to detail in the food preparation, serving and service let this five star restaurant down.

My wife and I go to Birmingham alot and stay at the hyatt Hotel every time and the Aria restaurant in side u lovely good food and good service. The staff are all very friendly and helpful would highly recommend staying here.

Afternoon tea at £25/person is a bit pricey considering the portions, but it was filling. The staff are wonderful though!

Terrible experience from start to finish. Long waits for service whilst staff stand around chatting. Approached to take the order without a pen.... so had to wait even longer. Medium rare beef fillet couldn't be more over cooked. Waited far too long for dessert only to be told the "system" had lost the order. When it finally arrived the cheesecake was unrecognisable as cheesecake. Awful just awful.

Fantastic Afternoon Tea experience when we went towards end of Oct. The staff were very helpful and friendly, everything was covid secure and it made us feel safe. The food was great and they made it a nice little surprise for my wife's birthday which was a really nice touch. Thank you to the manager and the two staff members that made it a lovely afternoon 😊

Great brunch and live jazz music

Foods were delicious and most staffs attitudes were good! But, one staff (He looks like around 50～60 years old)s attitude was problem. He didn't give me eye contact when speaking. And, He touched my wife's shoulder casually. It made us uncomfortable.

Excellent. Great choice of highest quality food. First visit but not our last. Definitely recommend. Lovely friendly attentive staff but not obtrusive. Unlimited Prosecco 🥂. Our glass was never empty, constantly topped up without having to ask or wait.

Overrated and over priced not good value for money

Dropped in to the Hyatt to meet someone. A pot of decent coffee (2.5 cups) in the lounge in comfortable and spacious surroundings £3.50! Why on earth go to a coffee shop chain!!!

We had lunch at Aria Restaurant many times during our stay at the Hyatt. The Hotel Lobby is stunning, atmosphere feels tranquil ,romantic decor with trees and plants, shelves with beautiful vases and a central water feature and a huge glass ceiling . The food is good and always well presented. The service is excellent, friendly and attentive staff. Perfect location for an afternoon tea

The Hyatt is probably Birmingham’s best hotel in the city. I was incorrectly informed that Bill Clinton stayed there during his visit back in 1998. Anyway, The Hyatt has an impressive looking lobby. The ceiling is high, the lighting is set to romantic and the water feature is set to zen waterfall mode. The Aria restaurant doesn’t feel like a separate restaurant, but part of the hotel eating area. It is well groomed and manned by quality, professional staff. The food is beautifully presented, good examples of classics, but the menu lacks anything with punchy, memorable, edgy flavours. If you go for the 2 or 3 courses (please order before 18:30), you do get great value for money. Given the competition for high end food in Birmingham, Aria falls short on all areas other than service.

One of the best Afgani restaurant in Birmingham, the quality of the food is simply amazing. The staff and Chef were really friendly and the service is really good. Variety of dishes, my favourite would be the kabuli pilau and the kebabs. Nice seating area and very relaxing. Highly recommended, if you love afghani food, do try this place out :)

Attended the Audio Show on Saturday, approached the restaurant only to be told they had closed for breakfast, we explained we only wanted coffee and a danish so we told to sit down and someone would be with us, 15 mins later and no one had come to us despite been looked at by other waitresses. The lady on the reception was rude and unprofessional and clearly too busy to ask a member of staff to serve us.

Sunday lunch for family %of 9 No cream sherry in stock Tiny tasteless salmon. Roasted veg v poor. Cold potato with lamb. Sweet took 35 minutes to arrive and then only one trifle left. Restaurant reduced bill by 30%. Service lacked care and timing

I ordered medium-cooked rib eye steak. The served one was undercooked; between medium-rare and rare. Soup and bread were nice.
