Argento in Tameside

Fabulous local restaurant, amazing food and lovely staff. So pleased this place is on our doorstep. Serving staff are really helpful and attentive and make the evening special. Great wine list as well. Steaks amazing and proper fresh vegetables served as side dishes. Highly recommend 🤣👍

I thought long and hard about posting this review as we have had nothing but positive experiences in the past. However, hopefully, this review might encourage the management to do something about similar situations that may arise in the future. We visited on a Saturday and as in the service and food were great. But that is when the nice time ended. A large group was seated behind us, and from that moment, the noise level increased significantly. What I am most disappointed about is nobody did anything to calm them down. They obviously were more interested in the cash for the till than thinking about all of the other patrons sat around them. I will give serious thought as to whether I will return in the future as the whole evening was spoilt by an uncontrolled group of riff raff.

This place is a gem! The food is amazing, good portions and very reasonable prices. Would definitely return again. My only slight issue was the background music, which started off okay, but as more people came in, the volume increased and, as I have hearing problems, it made it difficult to hear what my friends were saying. Will ask for a quiet table next time.

Excellent food and service as it is on every occasion we visit this restaurant . The second you enter you are made so welcome and treated really lovely. Food choices are so wide it’s a challenge to choose what to eat. We like to try something new each time we visit . Everything is amazing.

With dedicated parking next to the restaurant, the building is easily accessed and we were greeted by one of the very friendly serving staff and seated. The expansive menu gave us plenty of choice and prices were very attractive, especially compared to chain restaurants. The meals were very well presented on large attractive oval plates. The food was attractively presented and the flavours did not disappoint. The size of the portions was perfect. I would most certainly recommend this restaurant.

Nice place inside , warm welcome. Traditional Italian feel to it. Nice wide ranging menu. I went for the filet de Dolcelatte .-amazing. Rest of the party had Pizza, Pasta, lasagne and all enjoyed their food. Service was friendly and efficient and even though we were early it had a nice atmosphere. We shall call again if we are travelling to Manchester.

Am a regular visitor to Abbraccio,Stalybridge,a truly excellent Italian restaurant.I enjoyed a splendid meal with my wife and friends.Marko and his team gave us first class service .The whole evening was a delight.I strongly recommend it.

We really like everything about this lovely Italian Restaurant in Stalybridge and we visit often. Great food, and fabulous service every time we visit. Good value too! We both feel lucky to have such a fabulous Restaurant in our home town.

Myself & my partner came here for an overdue date night after coming across the restaurant on social media. From the minute we walked in we felt welcomed & put at ease. The main waiters at front of house took their time to speak to us & have a laugh, the drinks were spot on & the food was absolutely amazing - definitely the best meal we've had in long time! We will definitely be back soon, thankyou Abraccio!!

Truly is a gem of Stalybridge Tameside and for greater Manchester ! Easy to find ! Free parking ! Beautiful building with outside seating at the back for them summer months ! The food is amazing as I am Italian I know my food ! Seating areas are beautiful! The bar and serving area is beautiful to watch and an amazing pizza oven ! The smells are fantastic just like being in Italy ! Staff 10/10 they know how to deliver customer service to the table ! Very family oriented as well !

Was nice except for my Lasagne extremely dry and no meat. Did take it off my bill so explain. But made to feel guilty about complaining.

One of the best Italian restaurants in Tameside we are regular visitors & this is my wife's favourite restaurant. Great food great staff great atmosphere.

Family 80th birthday meal. Brilliant service and even more brilliant beautiful food. Very very busy Friday evening and still everything was spot on and nothing too much trouble. Marco and team create a wonderful ambiance and the standard of food is superb. 5 of us all had something different and each dish delicious. Extra special treat for the birthday lady too. Highly recommend as always.

Unfortunately not so great experience for us. Rotten, brown lettuce in my Cesar salad, with awful sour,strong taste. All covered with the dressing to "hide it". Staff noticed nearly untouched plate but did not bothered to ask if we enjoyed the food or not. It was our first and last visit in Abbraccio.

First time, absolutely brilliant, food amazing and the atmosphere very authentic and welcoming. Loved the Italian music in the background. We'll be back !

Extremely friendly service. They kindly squeezed us in as a table had just been finished with. Garlic bread and bruschetta were lovely. I had the filetto Rossini. My wife had the tagliatelle caldo. Had a couple of drinks. At first I thought my steak was going to be tough but no it was gorgeous. No way I was sharing that. Oh my god did the chips stay hot. They were tasty too. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent food and friendly service, really enjoyed the evening. Ignore the idiot who posted 15% service charge NOT TRUE. Received the bill (good value for the excellent fare) and there was no service charge, tip was entirely optional. Highly recommend.

I went for a meal over Christmas in this lovely restaurant and the service and food was excellent. However, I was not aware of the 15 per cent service charge, which I was surprised about as it is not city centre based. I was excited at the prospect of finding a lovely local Italian but due to this service charge, I will not be visiting this restaurant again.

Read all the reviews so thought we would give it a try. Well what a restaurant. Ambience perfect and food WOW. Booked again for birthday in December. Our new favourite and better food and value than any Manchester City centre restaurants

My first visit to Abbraccio in Staleybridge and hopefully the first of many! Had a fantastic night celebrating a friend’s special Birthday. The food was excellent and the staff so friendly, attentive and accommodating. A fantastic atmosphere was provided with music from Stefano. I very much look forward to returning when I am next in the area.

I literally love this place. The food is amazing and the choice is second to none. You will not find a better selection anywhere. The atmosphere is great and it is always full. The service is impeccable, which is no mean feat, considering how busy they always are. A consistent 10/10.

We have been here lots of times now and is definitely our favourite Italian. The gentlemen who run it are so lovely and always remember us, they always have a chat and make you feel like they have known you forever! The servers are always so lovely and welcoming too.
