Arepa Venezuelan Kitchen in Camden

An excellent Venezuelan vendor at the Camden Markets street food section. The Pabellon Arepa is jam packed with tender beef, fresh ingredients and topped with plantains (a standout). So delicious and filling. Friendly team and fast service.

Delicious arepa rellena! The arepa was crispy and filled with a really good amount of beef brisket (high quality and juicy) and other fillings including plantain.

Staff are generous, arepas are tasty but too stuffed so they are a bit messy to be eaten while walking 😋

The arepa was really tasty. Everything was fresh. The meat was juicy and all the flavours were really good! Will definitely recommend to eat here. Also, the people were really friendly

Overall a great find if you’re craving Latin American. I usually order the ‘Domino’ vegetarian arepa which comes with black beans, fried plantains, melted cheese and pico de gallo. On this visit they were quite under seasoned and a little bland. But the sauces they offer as toppings (chilli and garlic I think) took care of that. Would recommend overall!

I was so excited to try the traditional Venezuelan arepas, it was my first time here at london and I didn’t know there was Venezuelan restaurants here, but the treatment from those guys who work there was a complete disrespectful “malandro colombiano”, I am from Venezuela and we don’t treat people like that, he offers me to fight in an aggressive way, I took 45 min in bus to go there just to receive a bad energy from them, maybe the food is good but the customer service isn’t, so sad.

Much better arepas than in other London markets, but a bit messy in serving and not particularly friendly

Everything is homemade live. A little long service (because made to order) but 200% worth it. The corn buns, the meat marinated in its own juice, the fruit bananas, in short, a treat.

They have the best sandwichs I tried my whole life.

2024.04/ Good Venezuela sandwich Pabellon

This is my go to at Camden Market and on the rare occasions I don't get an arepa I regret it!

Food: This was my first forray into Venezuelan food and I'm really glad that this was the place I went to. The wrap was excellent. The cheese was stretchy, the wrap was crunchy and the beef was flavourful. The plantains help cut the fat and it was a really nice flavour all around. Service: They gave me food and made my order quickly, no complaints.

obviously the place was very crowded at lunchtime but the arepas were delicious and totally gluten-free! the service was fast even though there were only two of them working and they were really nice and kind! I can't wait to go back in the photo I took "la cartelua" which would be cherry tomatoes, guacamole, fried banana and shredded chicken

Rich arepa, strong, juicy and very tasty. The price is good (£9.5) and with a vegetarian option. The girl who serves speaks Spanish :)

Very good food, first time I have tried Venezuelan food, it was very tasty, especially the wrap, almost tasted like polenta, and the fillings were very generous.

The Arepa was delicious! We got both the pabellón and the arepazo and both hit the spot, this coming from Venezuelans (I wouldn’t say it’s authentic Venezuelan arepas though, it’s more a fusion! But still worth it). Only comment is that the line was not super long but took a very long time.

Incredible bread, tastes like a fried potato. Avocado was fresh, the beef was excellent. Plantain fries were unique. The sauce offered outside (think it was chilly mayo was to die for). Sugarcane with lime drink tasted like peach iced tea.

Honestly 10/10 the food is so good with generous proportions. I 100% recommend stand.

Service was great but arepas left much to be desired. I suspect they tripped the salt container on the chicken filling and arepas dough since they were incredibly salty yesterday.

So delicious!! I had been craving arepas for weeks and we found ourselves in London, and specifically sought out the arepas here at Camden Market. Definitely worth it. And with gluten free tastiness available, it made my day.

They had a gluten free and vegan option, but it had no spices or flavor and was quite greasy as the bun is fried.

The reason it's one star is purely based on the fact it sayd gluten free and we went out of our way to find it due to this and we have ceoliac. Food looked great and was told GF picked what we wanted and happened to ask if the GF is cooked in the same fryer as gluten.. was told yes. So couldn't have anything If you advertise as GF but cook it together with GF this helps no one and also it wss only as we asked about the fryers would we have known. If you want to be GF be gluten free and don't cook it together. Only people slightly intolerant or GF through choice can eat here. Was really dissappinted. Just editing as I've seen your reply thank you, when we asked the server if they cooked other gluten products in the fryers they said yes there was one desert item that had gluten cooked in it .something like a churro or similar ..os it was the staff who told us they fried it together so they were either wrong or your reply is. Shame

I tried a typical sandwich they had filled with so many ingredients, which was not appealing at all but was super delicious. Nice discovery.

Probablement le meilleur stand de nourriture hispanique de Camden, voir de Londres. Les arepas sont copieusement garnies, le guacamole est succulent, les haricots parfaitement cuits et assaisonés, et la banane plantain fait vraiment la difference dans le rendu final. Le arepa sont lourdes et tiennent vraiment bien au corps, ne vous fiez pas à la taille de la gallette qui peux vous sembler petite au premier abord, cela vous calera comme il le faut ! Le seul petit bémol, est la petite assiette en carton dans laquelle vous sera servie votre arepa, assez léger pour bien tenir votre plat et le manger correctement. C'est vraiment une chose a tester absolument si vous passez à Camden (:

Such a friendly place, delicious food, the plantain is the stuff of dreams… and safe for coeliacs! So grateful for this place!

I come to Camden regularly and I've tried virtually every spot. My wife and I love to go food hopping with our kids in Camden. We weren't planning on trying arepas because 99.99% of hispanic food places in the UK are not authentic. My mom is from El Salvador so I'm very picky about the central/south American places I eat at. The only reason we tried this place was because the nice man gave us a sample to taste. It tasted good so we ordered some. I am not exaggerating when I say that these arepas are the hands down the best thing at Camden. I know the birria taco ppl always have long queues but these arepas are so underrated. Easily the best thing at Camden. No gimmicks, just hearty, delicious street food. The arepas have so much filling. They don't skimp out on the meat. They put meat, salsa, beans, guacamole and topped it off with plantains. Don't forget to drench it in their sauce that they have on the counter. Don't know what it is but it's amazing. A bit of spice, a bit smokey. They may look small, but trust me, they are incredibly filling. I'm a big guy too and I can eat, but these arepas are heavy which makes them a great value for money too. The only criticism I would give is that they should serve them in something a bit more sturdy than a paper plate. I made a special trip back to Camden from Buckinghamshire just to eat these yesterday and I made sure to let the workers know how amazing their food is. I'd definitely recommend. This is not one to be missed.

Amazing authentic Venezuelan arepas, maybe the best in London. If you don’t know arepas, try them at this place, they do them very well. I ordered the one with shredded chicken, Venezuelan cheese, guac and plantains = 5/5. It was perfect, the arepa was just the right level of thickness and the perfect amount of Crispíness. Very generous offering of chicken. The plantains were cooked to perfection too. Sugarcane lime juice = 5/5

Really good quality. Great service. Nice and fast. The gentleman that was cooking (Colombian male) was polite and friendly! I just wish you had Reina Pepiada, but the Arepa Cartelua was delicious anyway :)

Never tried Venezuelan food before, and very much enjoyed the beef pabellon here, muy beuno. Packed full of shredded steak, cheese, guacamole, salsa and more, enjoyed wolfing down whilst perching against the nearest available wall. Plantain fries were also handsome, add the chilli sauce. £10 for a meal deal 😬

The arepa was absolutely delicious! It was crispy on the outside and filled with aromatic and fresh ingredients. I had the 10£ menu which included an arepa, plantain (delicious!) and a drink, which was a great value.

Dando una vuelta por el mercado de Candem vimos este puesto de arepas y estaban muy buenas y súper cargadas. Al lado hay unas mesas donde puedes sentarte a comerlas.

After going around and seeing all food stalls we settled on the Arepa Bros, we weren’t disappointed. Had a tasty pabellon which was very filling! Very friendly guys as well, and playing reggaeton music is always a bonus.

I guess I’m missing something yet I didn’t really like it. There wasn’t a lot of filling, and the taste of the arepas was just the corn arepa. It’s nice as a quick bite, but there’s better foods in Camden

I tried the vegetarian option: it was a fried corn flour bun which taste overwhelmed the almost absent filling (literally 3-4 black beans, some cheese, a hint of avocado and one piece of platano banana). I rarely waste food but I left even if I was hungry. I’m sorry but for 6gbp you can eat somewhere else.

The food was really tasty and filling but the female staff members was so happy and smiling. She made my little one smile and laugh.

Giving it 4 stars for the originality of the food and attitude of the guys there (both good). I would give it 5 if it were less greasy and a tad cheaper. It's not that big but filling. A bit of change from everydays food.

Tasty Venezuelan street food - The three guys in the tiny kitchen have the right attitude, smiling away and singing along to their Latin music (why don't more of the venders play music?). In context, one of the more fairly priced huts at the market.

I can't believe people gave it 4 stars. My second time going and there was a line but was worth the wait. I actually traveled over an hour to get there. Going outside of lunch hours may be less of a wait. The guys there today were friendlier and offered sauces.

This place was the one with the biggest queue in all Camden Market. However we decided to try, our first time trying "arepas". So many flavours (good flavours) but so greasy! We also liked the fried plantains.
