Archie's - Manchester Piccadilly in Manchester

Popped into Archie’s on Sunday night around 11:45pm for a late night snack, ordered 2 fries and a wrap. Seemed like there was quite a lot of delivery drivers hanging around waiting for orders, after 15 minutes it appeared the staff were stressed and looked like they couldn’t get air to get off shift. It looked like nobody was out the back doing any cooking and the 2 people at the front were spending their time making up shakes as fast as they could. Another 15 minutes go by and then someone comes back to then start doing the fries, some of the orders then start being sent out. Another 15 minutes waiting and then finally we get our 2 fries and 1 wrap. People were turning up trying to order and was then being told it’s an hour wait for food! Seems to be very poorly managed, lack of staff and generally not a pleasant experi once at all. Should have walked down to McDonalds, would have had the food, ate it, and walked back to our hotel in that time. Avoid!

I came here for something nice to eat as I have been a few years back and the food was really nice. I came today and the place is looking really sorry for itself. The restaurant is in a poor state flooring ripping up, paint falling off walls, decor falling off walls even its logo on the window was peeling away. Seems like a shell of what it used to be. The team lack what is to be desired from any “fast food” chain.

The guy who was taking the oders he looks like he is done for the day and arrogant as well.

The place is absolutely filthy with a severe lack of staff to tidy up the place. I placed an order for a waffle and waiting half an hour for it, having to watch numerous delivery drivers come and go as the staff only seem to care about getting those orders out. I would not recommend here unless you have extreme patience.

Fahran at Piccadilly Station Manchester was brilliant amazing attitude and excellent service. Felt good leaving the shop and even better when I ate the burger

Had the hot check last night . And today I am suffering from food poisoning. Not a present experience. Had food before but last night was an experience. Check your sauce I think it's been stored wrong.

The kids made me come here again but honestly it's not great, the decor is in need of updating and the food is below average, tiny portions and highly inflated prices

Ordered BBQ jerk chicken wings ,very bad quality soggy wings lots of sauce, Nashville burfer , lettuce brown , chicken was well cooked.very dirty restsurant none of the tables were cleaned. Bad experience.

I have very bad experience at here the staff are not helpful should be last time I went to pick up a delivery and it was not ready waiting past one hour

Restaurant was so clean, just so fresh and with a fun approach to food. Staff were friendly and our meals were excellent! The fries were hot unlike many other restaurants we recently visited and our burgers & wraps were freshly prepared with the best ingredients! I wish they had more branches throughout London!

Got to say the service here this evening was very poor. My fries were stone cold, my burger looked like it was thrown on the bun from 20ft away and they forgot my drink and sauce. When my drink was finally ready 5mins later they didn't even bring it over. I had to get up mid meal to fetch it from the counter.

Visited yesterday evening and purchased a Nashville chicken wrap (my favourite!) with extra pickles and lettuce, and it was delicious, chicken tasted amazing and you could tell it was cooked fresh.

Really disappointed Chicken wrap 7.99 only 1 one chicken strip in too much lettuce

Great place. Fully recommend it. Only reason I down marked the atmosphere was cos of the music, otherwise no complaints here.

Very effective management from supervisor no need to move him to A2 -customer

The supervisor on shift was nice and polite. He chatted with me whilst I was waiting for my superstar burger. Food is always A1

The food was delicious as always. Whenever we are in Manchester Archie’s is always on the list and it never ceases to disappoint. Oneem served us food and was very very polite and extremely helpful in understanding our order

It's probably the best Archies I have been to. From the service to the food to leaving, it was a great experience, unlike (ahem) my recent trip to (opposite) Birmingham New Street station 🚉

We tried burger, chips,fry chicken with different type of milkshakes. Teste always preferably. Would recommended.

All staff and managers are good in here.there hospitality are very nice.

It was a good place to hang out with colleagues over lunch.

The interior design is a good advert for colourblindness, but that’s not why I wouldn’t recommend it. The staff were pleasant, but there were no tables wiped down and the seating makes an airport waiting lounge look comfortable. The food flatters to deceive. It’s well presented, but has no flavour. Value for money is really poor.

good atmosphere. Friendly staff. Curly fries yum. Lil star burger is simple and small but worth the price. Now the negatives- the tenders both nashville and louisiana have a vinegary off putting sauce they drenched in .. weird tasting. Lost out on the crispy taste. Mac and cheese bites have absolutely no seasoning - just crunchy nothing else. I know they are served with a sauce ( bbq,ketchup,good,peri peri) .. order carefully - defo waffles and milkshakes are the better option .

A dazzling new place. Staff were amazing and friendly however, if you take into account the calorie count for one milkshake can give you a heart attack haha. The atmosphere is fantastic especially coming from a busy part of Manchester. And the crinkle chips were delight and tasty. The off putting thing was the burger had a weird taste to it. I'm not sure what but it wasn't as nice as I had hoped or expected. It had a weird after taste.

In Manchester, Piccadilly was quite chaotic. We stumbled upon a burger 🍔 and milkshake 🥤 restaurant, where a friendly Hong Kong employee, who's been in the UK since the age of three, warmly welcomed us 🤩. They mentioned that many KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) visit because the second floor has a pink 💞 ball pit and swings, which drive the crazy kids to scream with excitement 😱🤣, though it wasn't open at the time 😞. We had burgers, fries, a wrap, and milkshakes. Each item was made to order and really delicious. Even the ketchup was fancier than usual 😍! The crazy kids said they felt extremely welcome in the UK 🥰🤗. After a couple of days, they kept asking when we could go back again 😜. We ordered our food, after 14 minutes one of the staff told us you have to wait for another 10 minutes because one of our chef got sick, and now is more than 25 minutes we are waiting for our food and still not ready

Visited in June after the Coldplay concert. It was the only spot near our hotel that was still open. The service was excellent. They were slammed and still had a great attitude. The food was ….. not for me. However, the banana shake I had was delicious.

Came in to get a little milkshake before getting on the train back home, it was quite busy but I had 5 mins before my train was about to depart, I couldn’t get his name but I think he’s Asian wearing a black shirt I told him my trains about to leave so I’m just going to leave the shake but he literally made it in 2 mins and I made it on timee so thank youu! I’ve been here a few times and I always get amazing customer service, give everyone a pay rise x

This was a great restaurant for dinner, harboring a classic design resembling American chains! The counter has the options clearly shown and colour scheme lines up, staff were honest about wait times and seating is plentiful. I had a scrumptous chicken burger with some of the best fries alongside Vimto, although it was not as fresh as places like Frankies and they forgot my Pickles.

Very bad experience it’s the first restaurant and actually the first branch of Archie’s where I was denied service to place an order at the counter, the staff member on question was rude and provided in considerate service he was white male. I will be spreading the word of bad service and recommending everyone I know to not come here. I also requested to speak to store manager and was denied this by the same staff member, I hope the actual manager is reading this so he can take appropriate steps to address the issue with his team.

First time experience was great, nice affordable prices waffle was not soggy, burger was good.

The food and milkshakes are great and love the decor, the service was very slow though.

Service is a bit slow, so definitely don't come if you're in a hurry. It's worth the wait though, very tasty and the coffee was only £1.49!

Fries are good but burger is exceptional…so much flavour

Not many places open late in Manchester on a Sunday night. This place has got a great menu. Curly fries and cajun mayo is a winning combination. Especially when you have their signature pink lemonade. Very handy for a late night snack attack.

Food was OK. Service wasn't the best. I was put off by the way they were preparing the food. Not very hygienic.

Convenient location as it is hardly a min walk from Train Station Entrance. Highly recommend if you are a student as there is a student discount and portion sizes are reasonably good. Atmosphere was descent but you will be love this place if you find pink a snazzy color.

I visit here one time I tried lotus shake and that was amazing...but environment is so neat and clean..you guys should try this as well💕

Quite a few choices for veggies which was nice. The food was pretty good, however, nothing outstanding. We ordered quite late in the evening after a night at the theatre, it wasn't too busy but it did take a while to get our food

It's kinda amusing that many milkshake joints out there don't seem to have a clue about crafting a proper milkshake, yet they're in the business! I gotta say, I recently had one of the worst milkshakes ever. I mean, why on earth blend ice cream like it's a smoothie? And those huge chunks of chocolate in it? They're definitely missing the art of making a good shake.

I ate worst waffle in my life 🧇 The woman who made the waffles smeared all the chocolate all over the waffle box to decorate the waffle. The waffle has no ingredients.

Ordered “The Good Burger” and “Chilli Cheese Fries”. The burger was decent, but the fries were so bad - felt like they were overcooked and dry. Way overpriced for what it was and don’t think I’ll come back

Went in to order 2 burgers and everything! The person on the cash desk wouldn't serve us, and told us to use the auto-machines to order - there was only 1 working, and quite a queue! I asked to speak to the manager, and was told they were unavailable - won't be wasting my time using Archie's again!!

Why has nobody got gloves on when handling food i saw a man using his bare hands to put the chips in the fryer! Plus service is atrocious Takes 20 mins just to get a wrap

Food was plentiful and tasty. Restaurant was busy and orders taking quite some time. Tables could do with being cleaned between customers as had to clean up ourselves before eating. They were busy though so cutting some slack. Burgers were good. Waffles got the kids' seal of approval and the milkshakes were big and tasty too.

Super star tastes amazing, if you don’t which one to order, just order super star. The milkshakes are tasty too.

10/10 experience for our recent visit to Manchester, especially the ball pit area - good for picture moments! The food was delicious! The manager exceeded our expectations also. 100% recommened

Food was nice! Shakes have so many flavours! But, service was slow I think they had an issue with the printer. Also, Waffle guy did not wear any glove it is Unhygienic.

Walking by, I thought I’d pop in for a milkshake as it was a really hot evening. if you like a nutty/peanut butter flavoured milkshake, I have to say that Archies Holly Oaks milkshake is probably the best I’ve had from anywhere in the uk. The restaurant was nicely kitted out but seemed to lack atmosphere as there were only a few customers inside and they were all in corners of the restaurant sitting quietly. Service was slick via the touch screen ordering stations on arrival but staff preparing and handing out the food aren’t very engaging and don’t look like they want to be there. Noticeable, as everywhere else I’ve been served in this area I’ve been greeted really warmly and service staff try to be friendly. Lastly, large paper straws for milkshakes do not work. You need to use plastic or metal straws as customers have to wait for the ice cream to melt in the milkshake before it’s drinkable or struggle sucking ice cream up a flimsy paper straw straight away before the straw starts getting soggy which doesn’t work. I had to ask for extra straws to use later once the ice cream had melted. Didn’t get anything else as it was just a passing visit for a drink.

Drinks were served flat… complained - manager mentioned that a few people have complained and we are sorry the machine is broken. When I told him that it’s unfair that you’re still serving them. He had no answer. Offered new drinks from the broken machine ….. we declined … (AS THE MACHINE WAS BROKEN) Got our refund. Bought drinks up to the road from the coop. Burger was nice (beef royale). Place was dirty. Staff were a little brain dead. No knowledge of food. Waiter dropped drinks in the floor twice while serving. Failed to clean up mess. Chips undercooked.

Nice burgers (if not a bit too greesy) and milkshakes, but a bit pricy for what you get

The burger was way too salty and that's the only flavour that hits your palette straightaway It was my first time trying Archie's, safe to say I'm never coming back And the curly fries had a smell like it was made in rancid oil.

Ridiculously overpriced for bang average food. Staff and service was fantastic though. Probably won't bother with breakfast again which is a shame because the burgers etc are all pretty decent.

Great food and atmosphere, people were really friendly and helpful. Not cheap, but definitely good quality. A real American diner style, everything is Pink... 😎 Great play section upstairs, even the teenagers couldn't help themselves 😂😂

Amazing food - the burgers are awesome. Service a little less so. The staff are generally helpful and pleasant - but I waited 25 minutes for a plain cheese burger, which I think sat in the bag on the counter for 10 minutes while the (extremely pushy) delivery driver customers were served first, in spite of arriving long after I did. I eventually had to ask for my order - the fact that the member of staff just turned around and picked it up for me with a smile and said "sorry, we're quite busy" just didn't cut the mustard for me. Still recommended though - I'll still be going back, and at the end of the day that's the best thing I can say in a review.
