We were served by Sophie who was very good and we had an ejoyable meal however we chose the chefs menu for £45 a head, my business associate was allergic to shellfish and we asked if we could change the prawns to a lamb dish and were refused! I ended up having to add an additional lamb dish - no real reason as to why this decision was made.

Good atmosphere, nice restaurant and nice service. Unfortunately the food was mediocre and weirdly terrible portion sizes. You’ll be looking at around £50+ per person for very little actual food. Not normally one to comment on this, but when you are so clearly being ripped off because ‘it’s a vibe’ it doesn’t sit too well. By all means give it a go, but just be aware the quality and quantity are both lacking.

Stumbled across Arabica and very glad we did too. Lovely set up, great ambience and food. Get a seat at the bar and watch them cook in front of you, if you can. Always inspires confidence when you can see the chefs prep in front of your eyes. Friendly staff who genuinely care and want you to enjoy your meal and time there. Really shows they're not part of some larger chain.........yet 😏

I prebooked my table, I had never been there before but I had used thier boxes before. The manager was a fellow geordie which made me feel at home. Infact all the staff were super friendly, Hannah was really lovely and knowledgable about the menu. From her reccomendation I had the baby chicken and the cauliflower. Great reccomendation as it was divine. Leaving just a little room for tasty baklava, I really enjoyed my meal there. I love the location too, not far from KX. Coal drops yard is a vibe and i will deffo be going back there.

I don’t enjoy writing negative reviews, but this one was earned. After a week of truly enjoyable meals all over London, Arabica was a poor dining experience. With the restaurant probably 70% vacant, we nonetheless waited 10 minutes to be seated for our reservation. This was obviously a warning sign of things to come…service was inattentive, bordering on discourteous. Nobody checked on us once during the entirety of our meal, and it took at least 20 minutes for anyone to clear our plates once finished. We tried to pay/leave, but there literally was nobody present. We probably could have walked out of the restaurant and nobody would have noticed…The food was fine 7/10. The service is equivalent to Taco Bell. I expect much more for $130 for two…

Amazing food, brilliant service. We stumbled across the restaurant on a night out and we loved it! Our waitress was absolutely fantastic and when I said I was lactose intolerant she went through every single item on the menu to tell me what I could and couldn’t eat. Unbelievable service and attention. Thank you, we will definitely return

Food was delicious and service was excellent! Slightly overpriced for the portion sizes being small (so would advise to stick to ordering large plates since the small plates will rack up your bill at the end!!!) Overall I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere here:)

Sensational, mouthwatering food. Every bite was an explosion of perfectly balanced flavours. Particular standout for me was the Iraki Aubergine. Never had anything like it! Best aubergine I think I’ll ever eat. Also LOVED the Palestinian Poussin and the pistachio sour cocktail. Can’t wait to come back or try the Borough Market location.

We had the set lunch and it was fine but certainly not memorable although the food was fresh. The ambiance is modern with pleasant staff but this type of Middle Eastern food is served all over London and there is little to single this place out. The bill for 4 was £164 with only 1 small glass of wine. There are better places to eat in Kings Cross.

We love this restaurant and have visited many times. Decided on an impromptu dinner last night because we were up in London and were lucky to secure a booking for two at the counter. When we arrived, Mel - the amazing front of house - found us a table instead which was great as the restaurant was heaving. We had impeccable service from everyone and the food was perfect as always. Mel recommended a couple of new menu items which did not disappoint. Thank you yet again for a fabulous experience. We will be back as soon as we can.

My wife and I went to Arabica recently for brunch. It was close to our church and always wanted to try it. Food is mediterranean focused with lean toward char grilled meats and non being your traditional type of food. Highlights were the hummus and lamb kofte. Cauliflower was also very good. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Good choice for brunch.

Having been here before, and enjoyed it, my friend and I booked a table for a girls catch up. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control we needed to move our booking to the following week. So the night before (and as soon as we could) we contacted the restaurant with our request. Shouldn’t be a problem we thought, after all we aren’t cancelling, merely moving our booking. This was 17 hours before our booking. We were told that we couldn’t move the booking without paying a £20 per head fee because it was less than 24 hours before our booking. We were surprised, as our booking was for lunchtime on a Saturday, a very busy time, particularly in the Kings Cross area where there are usually queues to get into restaurants. Bemused, we took the decision to re-jig everything and go, rather than spend £40 and have nothing. I now understand why they have such a draconian policy. The food was underwhelming with over cooked cauliflower, the lamb kibbeh turned up as a lonely item sat on a plate with no garnish, sauce or even an attempt to make it look, let alone taste appealing, and an expensive Baba ghanoush where any bread was a paid ‘optional extra.’ The redeeming feature was the falafel, but presented with a bill for 3 plates, some olives and 2 small glassses of inexpensive wine for £80, we will not be returning. Maybe it was the ridiculous fee for trying to move the booking that started the bitter taste in our mouths, but the lack lustre food didn’t help. I understand that restaurants suffer from no shows with bookings, but maybe their reputation for disappointing food is spreading, such that they can’t get people in the door when other restaurants in the area have queues ten or more deep. Maybe this is why they charge such an exorbitant fee to move a booking? Whatever it is, do yourself a favour and give this place a miss. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area that can rely on their good food to fill their seats.

This place has a nice vibe and friendly waiting staff. However, portions are small for the price (£16-17 for two skewers of chicken/lamb with no sides, and £7.50 for baklava selection consisting of 4 tiny pieces). We had to buy some snacks a few hours after our dinner because we were hungry again. Having said that… the cocktails were exquisite! We loved the pomegranate margarita, sour cherry negroni and Turkish coffee martini. All things considered, we’d come back here for drinks but probably not for a full meal.

We love Middle Eastern cuisine and it was a joy to discover so many new tastes. The food was all freshly cooked and was delivered as it was ready, which seemed to work out very well. The restaurant was busy yet the staff were super-efficient and friendly too. We were lucky to sit by the bar as we could see the proffesionalism of their bartender,Dylan, and his bar manager, Matuçe, who is the creator of most their cocktails in the house. We tried his pistaccio Pisco Sour and loved it! Would had continued with his whole list if we didn't have to drive back. Matuçe was also very happy to talk more about his creations and favorites. It was an insight of his ideas and thoughts . We shall look forward to returning, Just wish they were local to me!

Everything about Arabica was wonderful. The mezze starters and fresh Persian bread to start - amazing and delicious. We shared a main course accompanied by two vegetable sides which was plenty for two- the cauliflower is one of the nicest things I have ever tasted. I could have eaten just that and been happy. The Lebanese white wine was lovely as was the Turkish coffee martini! I can't wait to visit again and try more dishes. Plenty of options for gluten free, clearly marked on the menu. An hour later the waiting space is full and we are still waiting even though many people left and magically many people get in. The simple answer is “we are cleaning the table or customer is about to pay and etc”

Randomly came in for lunch. Had the best greek meal of my life (and I've been traveling many times to Greek). Great wine recommended to the meal. Such friendly, warm and service oriented staff. This place is a hidden gem. Bravo!

I had an incredible experience at this Greek restaurant! The food was absolutely authentic and packed with flavor – every dish was a delicious taste of Greece. From the perfectly seasoned lamb to the fresh tzatziki, everything was top-notch. The atmosphere was warm and inviting that made the meal even more special. What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff was incredibly friendly, experienced, and attentive, making us feel like family. They truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving delicious, authentic Greek cuisine in a welcoming setting!

We were about to book a visit to Vasis, and have learned it has closed! We are devastated. It was such a cosy, old-fashioned Cypriot Greek place of the type we adore. All the favourite dishes, not too "modern" style which is so off-putting.. all that minimalist decor and fancy food "design" that I loathe... three chips in a little flower vase .. raspberry coulis on the plate spelling out "You're a mug" round the tiny chop... :-) Nothing like that at Vasis... oh well, there's that nice place near the British Museum...
