AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! rude waitress & the food tasted like it came from Iceland across the street. The service was slow and the waitress was very abrupt. The presentation looked like someone had drenched lemon juice over the food, very bland. I’d Told them my food was awful and they asked if I wanted to eat for free out of sarcasm. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. From someone that works in sales and customer service I will NEVER attend this place again which is such a shame as the Petts wood branch ruined my experience of the aqua chain. When I raised a complaint, the manager hid and I was left with probably the worst dining experience in all my years and I eat out a lot. 1 star is even generous.

The food us always lovely in here. During summer nights lovely to eat alfresco. Last time we came in a big take food took over an hour to come, this weekend service was quick even though it was very busy.

I had the mixed grill which was the smallest mixed grill I’ve ever had. The chunky chips are potato bricks, no salt and pepper. Just average food with a big price tag. The service was not unfriendly but a bit odd, to charge 12.5% for that. We sat outside on what could be best described as garden furniture. Not restaurant quality for sure. So much potential really, a missed opportunity in my view, such a shame.

The food was good but service to be desired, and you can see why when you get the bill, a service charge is added. I would have been happily paid the full amount if the service was more professional. It should not be the customer keeps looking to get their attention to place their order.

Our party of four ladies, arrived at restaurant greeted by friendly staff shown to our table, our waiter kindly took our photo, he was attentive, polite, and not intrusive , didn’t hurry us, we ordered from three course fixed price lunch menu , the food excellent , lovely back ground music to listen to, thank you to all at the Acqu , certain we will be back , highly recommend.

So disappointed. Visited for mother's day. All I can say is there should be a health warning slapped on this place. 1 of our party was violently sick & 2 others had bad stomach's. The food was tasteless & service incredibly poor. We was sat by the kitchen & and it wasn't a pleasant sight. Food being microwaved, Yorkshire pudding left on a shelf. We would never return to this place.

What a shame. I've been a frequent customer to this restaurant over the years and had many a good meal. Unfortunately the quality of food and service at this time has taken a nose dive. The service was next to useless and the food was dire. Tasteless and of poor quality. Unfortunately, I won't be returning again, which is a shame.

Very dissapointed. I booked for 8 of my family for a special Birthday celebration. The lack of service was poor. Several times we had to catch the eye of someone for a forgotten drink, one meal arriving much later than the others, incorrect food, one steak very poor quality. Trying to get the waiters attention was useless so we put up with the poor quality one, & incorrect one. Not once during the meal did anyone come to ask if all was ok. Even when I asked for the bill, we did not get asked how was your meal or a thank you. On paying the bill I discretely went to find the manager to say how dissapointed I was, she was very appologetic & brought us champagne to the table. This was a nice touch & thoughtful of her. However it did not make up for the poor service & standard. We all looked forward to celebrating my 60th Birthday at Aqua Petts Wood. It's not my first visit but it is my last.

****UPDATE 24/2/24*** Although very busy (good for business) the noise level was still loud but not so much that we couldn't hear each other. Food quality/quantity was good. Service good. Waitress staff pleasant and helpful. Nice evening quite busy and loud. Waiting service were quite pushy.

Have wanted to try Aqua Petts Wood for a while so went for dinner with a friend. Shown to table, long wait to order a drink. Cocktail was nice. Long wait to order food. All food was ok/ average. Staff ok, felt they were indifferent to us as customers. Nothing was awful, nothing was outstanding.

Had a meal here last Monday, deals on steak meals. Very busy evening with lots of birthday celebrations going on. Good service and quite friendly. Steaks weren't huge and the normal price before special offer is expensive for what it is. £25 for a small sirloin. 3 of us shared mixed dips and warm haloumi salad. We all had steaks no dessert, 1 glass of red wine, 1 vodka and tonic, 1 gin and tonic £30 each.

The staff were excellent really very welcoming and friendly. Great service and good quality food and value for money.

8 of us went for dinner as a Christmas treat however once being shown to our table waited 20 minutes for the waitress to order drinks then 35 minutes later still didn’t have our drinks that had been sitting on the bar for at least 10 minutes. When I got up and asked if they was going to bring the drinks to the table was met by a very aggressive barman/ waiter who shouted at me they was short staffed.8 of us the got up and walked out to be followed by said barman apologising and asking us to come back in . Told him I would never come then again.

45 minute wait for a drink (once ordered) and prawns from Iceland. Complete chaos and understaffed. Owner turning up outside revving in a yellow Ferrari made it even worse, even though he had shoes on from Asda 🙈

Myself and my daughter had the weekday special lunch and could not believe the value. The decor was interesting the food was out of this world and the waitress was lovely. The tomato caper and olive sauce that came with my fish was packed with flavour and texture. And the lovely spinach soup that preceded it was subtle and served with thin slices of ever so slightly toasted warm foccacia. I am tryimg to think of an excuse to go again as soon as posssible. This is the best mediterranean food i have had this year, and when my son's Cypriot girlfriend comes to stay next this is absolutely where I will take her.

Service was good by our waitress Jodie. The food was good but we were right opposite the kitchen and the chefs do not wear any proper chef whites or hats. One chef was making and serving food wearing a green hoody and another was eating while making and serving food. This is not acceptable in my opinion and we won’t be coming back.

My wife and I took our Grandson there for a birthday treat . We went on a Monday lunch time and found it very quite but waitress and staff were very friendly service very good and the food was extremely good probably the best fillet steak I’ve had.I did think it was a tad expensive but think it’s probably on par with everywhere else but to be honest I don’t mind paying the money when the food is that good. We would go back back there again when in the area visiting friends or family.

Aqua occupies the building that was the estate office for Petts Wood in the 1930s. It is just 50 yards from the railway station, so is very easy to get to. There is also plenty of parking in the square and in the town that is free after 18:30. This is not the first time I've been to Aqua and each time the food had been excellent and the service delightful. I stopped by this weekday lunchtime with my daughter and we decided to take the set menu (£18 for 3 courses Monday-Saturday lunchtime). The set menu varies, so you've always got a new choice to look forward to. I had the smoked duck salad, followed by a fish main and chocolate fudge cake for desert. Our food was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious, just like the previous occasions that I've visited. Based on the visits I've made I can thoroughly recommend Aqua for the quality of the surroundings, the food and the friendly staff. Aqua have set menus for other times and on Monday evenings they do a special "steak night" with 50% steak main courses, again highly recommended. I'll be back again soon.

Booked table for 7.30pm on a Monday, ordered about 15 minutes later. Waited over 30 minutes for my drink, which I had to chase before it eventually turned up and around 1h 30 for our meals. Mine turned up without any chips (steak and chips) steak hadn’t been rested thus was very disappointing, waitress did return to give me five chips - after double checking they were in fact missing as the chef apparently didn’t believe her even though she was the one who served it to us. Husbands steak meal came with only three chips - on querying this is the correct size portion! No condiments on table and no offer of sauces, a walk across the resturant did elicit, sorry, some salt and a sad squirt of mayo on a saucer a few minutes later. Despite all this they didn’t even take off one of our drinks from the bill as an apology and still added the service charge. No sign of a manager even after we said the food was disappointing given how long it took to arrive nor did we see anyone approaching other tables when at least two of them sent food back to the kitchen which suggests whoever was in charge was either completely oblivious or didn’t care that customers were clearly not happy. Perhaps as everyone was calm and polite in speaking to the staff they can’t be bothered to get involved. Given they weren’t full it must be even worse on a busy night. Waitress was embarrassed enough when she turned up with the card machine to offer to take off the service charge, I guess that was all she was able to do - frankly she was the only person in the place who was running about to try and deal with the unmitigated disasters most tables seemed to be experiencing. It was our first time eating here, if not I’d have probably just walked out after an hour having not received an apology for the delay or any food. It’s pretty unforgivable to take a booking that it is clear that they weren’t in a position to fulfil in any reasonable timescale. With prices of around £50+ per person (mains and a couple of drinks) and likely nearer £75-100 pp if you include starters, deserts, wine and coffee it’s not a place I’d return to or recommend as the quality of the food wasn’t worth the wait.

Went out as a large family for a celebration,as been before. Decided to go for set menu,cannot fault the starters really good and flavoursome. The main was tasty but a shame there wasnt more veg,which we found under the meat. The meat was very good,potatoes nice,but one small fliret of cauliflower and broccoli, a slither of carrots ,someone even commented where was the veg,perhaps a little more veg in the future please. Other than that the staff where friendly andcwevhad a nice time.

I really hate to do this but this is one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to in terms of value for money, and one of the worst I have been to in Chislehurst/Petts Wood full stop. The food is incredibly bland, however it is well presented and perfect for people who have lost their taste buds with age, as per the guests surrounding us. Atmosphere was non existent, and I cannot believe that for LESS money I could have gone to Quattordici in Chislehurst, or far far better restaurants in Petts Wood. All the food was clearly cooked from frozen, I couldn't believe the lack of quality on show, as I said, incredibly bland food, well presented, but absolutely not worth the money. You can do far better than this place.

One of my local restaurants, my little daughters favourite as according to her they do the best plain spaghetti. I really would love to see some changes in the menu as it has been the same forever, expecially the vegetarian options. Every time we go I have the penne with tomato sauce, as I don't fancy neither the squash neither the wild mashroom risotto. Last visited was on Monday for my daughter's birthday and ever her was not impressed this time. Felt like waiteres was stressed and overwhelmed with work, still managed to smile.

Arrived not knowing where to go as we didn’t have anywhere booked and was unplanned. Quite busy for a Thursday night and they had offers for set menus however we opted for the A La Carte menu. We didn’t know we were in for a surprise. I ordered the rack of lamb with my wife ordering the steak all I can say is the food was exceptional and very nicely presented. They also have a lovely garden at the front with outside seating. Didn’t expect as it was our first time here. Will be back here again.

My first time at Aqua in Petts Wood. I have been to Aqua in Bromley before. Today, we went for lunch today with my parents. My mum is in a wheelchair. One of the staff brought out a ramp to get over the stairs. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. The food was delicious. The tables were not to close together and the ambience was perfect. I will definitely come back here. Also the decor and furniture is very nice.

I came to the restaurant on Monday evening for steak night. We was having a lovely meal and our waitress Amy was brilliant and the food was great. Our meal however was disturbed by one of the waitresses shouting in the middle of the restaurant at her manager. She was being very aggressive towards her manager and swearing about the kitchen staff. We found this extremely unprofessional and it was distracting people trying to enjoy their meals. I would have usually put this down to a one off but we came to the restaurant a few weeks before and this waitress who making a scene served us and was rude then. Very moody and unapproachable. She is not English and has dark black hair. We probably won’t be back which is very upsetting as it’s a lovely place to come to.

Went for a joint birthday meal and place was lively with a buzz that was great to hear but not too intrusive. Tables spread enough apart you could have your own conversations without being overheard. Scallops and lobster ravioli to start followed by mushroom risotto, penne mafioso and the gnocchi all washed down with a delicious Marlborough Sauvignon blanc, pricey as you would expect. Dessert to be honest wasn’t great and service between courses a little slow but it didn’t detract from the overall enjoyment of the occasion.

Giving it a 2 star as went with my friends and the starter portions for the size are so so poor. Ordered filo pastry and was given two tiny ones for the price. Similarly for other starters. Food is okay - nothing extraordinary and I feel for the price could have gone to a much better place. The staff are really nice though.

First visited here shortly after it opened years ago and was not that impressed - recently encouraged to try again which we did and were certainly not disappointed, the atmosphere, the staff and the food was outstanding. The food was beautifully presented and the service was first class. Will be planning many more future visits… many thanks to Paula and her team…..cannot praise it enough.

We visited Aqua on a Saturday evening to celebrate my mum's birthday with family. The staff were very attentive and the food was good. We were a little disappointed with the chunky chips as they were undercooked and very sparse!! The bar/restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and wasn't too "rowdy" for a Saturday evening. We would definitely recommend and will be going back again.

Fantastic Sunday lunch (roast potatoes were so nice). A 3 course lunch for £19.50 is such great value. The staff were very friendly and professional and the food was fabulous. I'd definitely recommend Aqua Bar & Grill and have been doing to all my friends. I will be re visiting very soon. 😊

For years this place was awful in most respects. Went back after many years, and with a different manager and staff, it has improved a great deal. Food was fine and the manager was friendly and helpful, completely unlike his predesessor. Need to go back some some more to confirm consistency.

Aqua is fast becoming one of my favourite places to eat. There is always a very warm welcome, it's a light, bright and modern restaurant serving a wide variety of Mediterranean food. The food is attractively served and excellent value, for example the mixed fish platter is approx £22. Our party included a vegetarian and a celiac and we were all able to enjoy fabulous food We were served on our most recent visit by Tatiana, who has a lovely smile and was attentive and cheery even though the restaurant was very busy. The whole operation runs smoothly thanks to the professionalism and care of Paula, who oversees everything thus ensuring that every guest feels special and has the best experience. Highly recommended.
