Lets be honest, it was the best when darius ran it Since then it hasn't been the greatest. Some owner worse than others. Every new owner since then seems to: 1. think it's a disco, you can't just go in there and eat in peace; there is always music blasting. 2. Have their entire family take over the whole of the booth side 3. Kids running behind the bar

Went Wednesday for a family meal, from when we first enter to leaving service was amazing, couldn’t do enough for us all staff were friendly and welcoming and food was amazing, couldn’t fault it will be returning

Went to this lovely establishment yesterday amd I was welcomed amazingly, the service for food was brilliant especially for a pub and it was nice to have a beer in a clean glass (not many like that in the area) will be a returning customer

Unfortunately, this business doesn't pay their invoices and ignores those chasing payment. Was due to be paid in February and have had no response to any email and the manager is never available when I call. They've now blocked me on social media rather than simply email back to discuss the overdue payment. From what i've heard, I'm not the only one struggling to be paid for provided services. Edit: in response to the business' response, I have emailed and called multiple times. The manager has my phone number and email so can make contact with me at this point.

Very disappointed popped in for a drink ,beer flat really unclean floors sticky outside area was filthy wouldn't go back here again went to the Bradford arms instead 👌

Came here on a whim and met the owner and her family in this beautiful pub. We sat and ordered food it came and we ate all of it it was that delicious we even ordered dessert because why not. I would suggest if you fancy mash with any of the meals come earlier in the day lol 😂 but other than that couldn't fault a thing. Also it's child and dog friendly.

Fantastic community local pub under brand new management. New food menu is amazing & regular entertainment karaoke, bingo, quizzes and pool tables and TVs and beer garden perfect for the summer. Worth a visit and support your local

Having previously boycotted The Apple Tree under previous management (and about of food poisoning), we saw the new management sign and decided to give it a new chance. Lisa and staff are friendly and professional, the pub is visibly cleaner, and the food...wow! We had the burgers and boy were they top quality beef and even the salad felt premium. Lisa, you have won us back to our local. Thank you 😊

I popped in because i saw it was under new management and they had a new fresh food menu and the Food was great, the staff were all very polite and helpful, would definitely recommend now . 5star

Went here for Xmas day year before was excellent but this time our table wasn't ready then half hr later for someone to come over to us to say no more tables stuck us in the bar with a disgusting table cloth waited 2 half hrs no show cat roaming round we paid a deposit in October the girls behind the bar drinking and vaping in the end we asked for our deposit back and left Xmas day ruined never will return to this pub again disgusting

First time in The Apple Tree , great to see it wasn't a Greene King pub. Luke was very welcoming and polite , food was amazing and worth every penny. In fact the best meal we have had in months in a pub , thank you Marstons , Luke and the Appletree , we will be returning in the near future !

The Service was excellent considering they only had one chef at the time of the meal. The guy behind the bar who served us was very attentive and rewarding and did make our lunch time experience .

Food was overcooked. Burger buns were rock hard and chicken breast was cremated, I ordered the rump steak - when it arrived I asked where my mushrooms were and was told "we've got none left". Desserts were brought out whilst the table still had the finished main course plates on. I will not be returning.

Booked table for 18:15. Sunday 3/9/2023. Confirmed that Sunday Lunch would be available. Informed after arrival that Sunday Lunch finishes at 16:00! This is not advertised on menu or website 2 food sales lost as well as potential other visits. Went elsewhere. Management committment: nil Not satisfactory. Not recommended

The most rundown pub Iv stepped foot in, absolutely filthy. I didn’t think it could get any worse than it already was, the new manager is running it down to the ground!

First time visiting this pub I didn’t like how rude the staff was behind the bar after telling there’s no Vodka left & advised me to stop drinking even though I mentioned I was there for my 30th birthday witch I thought was very unprofessional I definitely wouldn’t be coming back! The place was filthy I wouldn’t like to know what the kitchen is like as I’m a Sous-chef myself

Food was amazing great people there the staff are amazing great atmosphere the young girls behind bar very polite felt like the dark headed girl was incharge the hole day but great do recommend to alot of people

Haven't been in for years and thought I'd give it a try. It needs major work doing it looks very tired and rundown. Asked if any real Ales available and was offered Banks Amber which I believe is keg beer. The youngster behind the bar had very little idea. No greeting no hello. Tables uncleared and dirty toilets awful. Hardly anyone inside no atmosphere Marstons have lost the plot here this pub used to be a big part of the community. Not at present though very disappointed

I hadn't been here for a year or so and omg was i shocked. I don't mean to be awful but it is rotten from inside to outside. Needs a massive clean up never have i seen it do dirty.

Booked for table of 4 as anniversary treat for friends. when we arrived at designated time, was informed the kitchen was closed and no food being served. Made me look like right idiot in front of our friends. When booking table left phone no. They could at least rang and let me know. I have had good experiences previously but not on this occasion. The staff at bar said hadn't realised there was a booking, surely this is one aspect that should automatically be checked.

Very cold in there and tellys could have done with a good clean but that wasn't the worst of it. Ladies toilets were disgusting 4 cubicles and only one with a seat on it. Cannot believe people eat in there.

A wonderful night watching a truly brilliant Eminem Tribute act. I'd go as far as saying that he is in the top 2 Black Country based Eminem tribute acts going. I've knocked a star off as he wasn't wearing dungarees for the Real Slim Shady song. Please book him again and he can rectify that error.

Barmaid seemed more interested in her phone then serving customers. Asked if wanted white or brown bread with fish and chips but recieved no bread

The service was excellent, our pre booked table was easy to find. The food was really good, nothing got wasted at all.

A lovely meal was had. By myself and my friend plates were hot and food was excellent the staff very welcoming. Reason for 4 stars is the stare of the vbathrooms they were clean but need a fulll update but will be going back very soon

The fish and chips is probably the best you can get. Smashing pub and excellent staff and service. Doesn't cost a fortune either. Check out the festive menus. Highly recommended.

What can I say , had my daughter a surprise 30th birthday meal , was over 35 of us going and would highly recommend, meals was lovely and all came out quickly, staff and management was just brilliant from start to finish, got the room ready for me , and coped with all my phone calls 🤣

Want to say a massive thankyou to Apple Tree and all the staff for making my friends baby shower special and amazing, all the decorations were put up for us free of charge and the amount of effort they put in was amazing. Was so happy with how it turned out and would highly recommend this pub for any event! Food is lovely as always, staff are so friendly and nice and prices are good. Was so easy to book with a simple message over Facebook with no hassle, they answered all my questions the same day and provided an amazing service - so thankyou so much xxx

Easily the best burger I've ever eaten! The BBQ chicken burger was so well cooked, tasty, easy to eat, what more can I say about it? My husband had the Cod and I think he's in a happy food high right now! 'The batter was light, the fish was amazing, the fact that the lemon was cooked before going on the fish was such a nice touch' We'd looked at the desserts list first like we always do but we don't have any room!! Next time, we'll just have starters and desserts. Thanks to Laurie and the staff for making a good pub experience great, such an amazing family pub can't wait to bring the kids here too!

Not long taken over by new managers... what a difference. The place looks cleaner than I've seen it for a long time and a lovely atmosphere. I had the BBQ chicken burger and it was absolutely delicious- really big portions as well. The kids menu and food was great too- they loved it. If you haven't been for a few months, I'd go and give it another go- it's like a different pub.

Absolutely disgusting dry food asked for a refund and absolutely nasty never gave me the money back or change of food they need a health and safety check in the pub the toilets are hanging off the doors and sinks it’s disgusting never use again unfortunately I would not even give it a star even though I have too

Food Poison HQ by the looks of the reviews! Including this one! Avoid this place it puts the Marstons franchise to shame. On fathers day (21.06.2022) we decided to try a meal there as we had never been before... My daughter had a chip and I had a burger and my partner had gammon. Later that evening my partner said she was feeling ill , 30 minutes later I took part in a weight loss program. Thankfully my 9 month old daughter wasn't that bad but was still having bad nappies a few days later! Absolutely awful feeling food poisoning is and I have eat at some places but not had this in over 18 years to what I can honestly remember! Fair one they refunded us and apologised but so they should. It wants a full H&S inspection and shutting down until such time they can actually cook , serve or produce food without cross contamination or poisoning their visitors.
