Our daughter has been raving about the salad boxes and scotch eggs, I finally made it today. Had a bit of everything in the large salad box, certainly full of flavour, bombay scotch egg packs a real punch too. Can't wait to go back and sample the quiches.

Back in the days when cafes and restaurants were still open this was always one of the best places in Exeter for breakfast/brunch/lunch - super-friendly service and expertly cooked food. I haven't been able to visit during or inbetween lockdowns but I was aware they'd branched out into takeaway and setting up as a Deli. The change is great - they've adapted the place really well, and the range of food on offer was great quality and fun.One of the reasons for leaving a review was the Spanish Omelette, Quiche and Bombay Scotch Egg that we bought that were out of this world - amazing and tasty and absolutely delicious. Thanks fully we don't live too far away and we can easily go back for more. Definitely check them out.

What a cute and quirky cafe, I've been there twice now and had a lovely lunch both times, the first time I had the spanish omelette and it was delicious (and big!), the 2nd time I had a brie, bacon and red onion chutney sandwich with a generous filling it came with salad garnish and a few crisps, very nice. The coffee tasted lovely too. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I will be back again very soon , highly recommended!

BLAND, BASIC TIGHT PORTIONS, OVERPRICED. Just been for breakfast with my family here on route from our holiday. May be done up to look attractive on the outside but don’t be fooled the food and service was bland and basic for the price. I’m used to going out for brunch with friends, so know what to expect. We feel ripped off. E.g) Was charged almost a tenner for a stingy portion of Eggs Benedict with salmon for something worth more like £4.00 max. Didn’t even include a basic drink in the price. The egg hadn’t been strained properly and had made everything soggy. They boasted about their ‘luxurious handmade’ hollandaise sauce which was actually rather sour and had no seasoning. There was just no attempt to make any effort, could have just thrown some tomatoes on the side or sprinkled chives on the top. And even the muffins were probably just Aldi’s quite small and flat. (I noticed their packaging elsewhere) My dad ordered scrambled eggs on toast for a fiver and from any other café I’d be expecting two pieces of toast to cover the plate. Instead was given one measly piece and just enough egg to cover it. Would have costed 80p for ingredients for sure. We complained but by the time the chef would have brought out the second piece of toast his food would have been cold so the lady just shrugged and didn’t offer to knock anything off the price. For all he knew she’d have probably charged him for the extra piece didn’t sympathise with the customer one bit. Not to mention my mums and sisters fried eggs were over cooked and their bacon was fatty and tough. Rant over 🙃

Visited on a night for a meal I have to say its a very nice independent café. I like to be honest as I really wanted to enjoy my burger and I hope you find this feedback useful. Please replace the “mashed up onion” with real bits of fried onion. Replace the hard Packet beacon you stick on top with nice fresh back beacon this will make a big difference. Also please replace the flimsy cutlery for better quality cutlery as when trying to cut my burger the knife almost bent in half. I’m sure you will grow and be very busy on these nights & I wish you luck. Hopefully on my next visit I can give you a better review.

And the hot white chocolate drink with cream and marshmallows, a very nice treat! My husband had the steak and onion baguette, which he soon whoofed down. Both came with side salad and crisps. My only niggle is salad dressing? Why do all restaurants assume everyone likes these? A little pot on the side and we can choose ourselves, maybe. I do like salad, and this particular one look very pretty with the grated beetroot, but unfortunately I didn't get to eat it! But I still give you top marks! And will definitely be returning.

We were tempted by a blackberry and apple flapjack to finish off our lunch but the portions are huge and so the thoughtful helpful staff provided a bag so we could take home the leftovers for later! The man at the table next to ours was having a full English breakfast which looked so good that my husband said he's definitely trying that the next time we go.There are even free newspapers provided on the side for customers to read while they enjoy their meal.

This is a fantastic café in the St Thomas area of the city. The owner, Jason Turton is an award winning chef (2012 Devon Life Food & Drink Awards) and has recently opened Apple Blossom Café. My wife, son and I have visited a couple of times since the café opened. All the food we have ordered has been of great quality, well prepared and very enjoyable. The normal menu delivers very good quality at affordable prices, with friendly efficient service. I would have to say, try the Specials if visiting as they are great. The last time we visited, the specials were Pan Fried Pork Loin Steaks with a Chorizo and Tomato Butter Bean Stew (which I had) & Chestnut Mushroom and Leek Bake with a Pesto Brioche Crust and Dressed Leaves (which my wife ordered). Both dishes were delicious. Verdict: If you’re looking for a nice bright place to have Breakfast, Brunch or Lunch then it's well worth taking a trip down to Cowick St. We’ll definitely be back.

Coffee machine made speech inaudible truly, added to which our table was just by the door where the poor staff were constantly rushing through in an an attempt to serve customers in various areas of the Club…..truly this was not the ambience we had hoped to achieve. Two of us had small appetites, but we were allowed to have two starters from the Christmas menu BUT every one at the table then also had to choose from the Festive menu…although the sports’ bar menu was offered. The vegetables were very undercooked, sadly noted by one of our group, I loved the hot red cabbage, - not quite sure how to evaluate the service, as the staff were obviously run off their feet, but nevertheless.. not exactly able to serve our table when we needed to be served.

Welcoming and relaxed local cafe in St Thomas, Exeter. Delicious sourdough toasties and a great selection of pasties, sausage rolls, cakes and pastries.

Absolutely love lloyds lounge, especially on a Friday evening when they do their live music! It's a great spot for date night or to go with your friends. Their small plates are really good, realltly tasty and good value for money.
