If you are a Mediterrenean person, this is the heaven in London. I lived in the are for 3 years and this was my go to place for a sandwich and walk. Every time I went there I had the best sandwich you can get in London with riddiculusly low prices. After eating there everywhere else seems like an expensive knock off. When you get the first bite of your sandwich, everything melts in your mouth with a real good quality of cheese, meat, salad and the real olive oil instead of some rapeseed or sunflower. The staff is so amazing and sincere as well. They are mostly Italians that grew up with what they sell and they take it personal to give the authentic quality and the taste. They are also very warm Mediterranean people that this shop is literally an oasis at a corner of London that you can suddenly feel in the South as soon as you enter from the door and greeted by smiles, chat and the smell of a good olive oil. I am moving from the area and geniunely one of the things that I will miss the most in the area is this place. Ciao!

9 of us sat down for a steak meal. The staff were fantastic, and we all agreed it was probably the best steak each of us had had. The meat is cut and prepared once you order. It was our first visit, but it will not be our last. Highly recommended.

Several months ago, we discovered Appetite by chance when we were hungry. We are so grateful we did. There is no doubt that this restaurant is a hidden gem. It's a butcher shop that also serves as a restaurant. We have dined here several times and the food is always fantastic. Considering the quality of the food and the fact that it's a London restaurant, it's also very reasonably priced. The butchers are also regularly used by us. When we have a recipe, the butcher is always willing to help us with advice. Whenever there is a cheaper cut that will taste better, they recommend it, which I always appreciate. In comparison to supermarket meat, the meat sold there is of a much higher quality. There is no doubt that Appetite is worth your time.

Amazing food served straight from Italy 💪

Went there with 2 of my friends, Francesco and Emilio for our catch up on the 30th October. My goodness, we had a fillet and T with some sides. Unbelievably good :) was definitely one of the best steaks I ever had 🫶🏼

This place is an absolute hidden gem...away from the bustle of Westfields and absolutely amazing food and atmosphere. We came to celebrate my husband's 50th and were made to feel so welcome the moment we walked through the door. We loved trying some new foods as well as delicious burgers and steaks. The children loved seeing the meat being prepared by the butcher, we felt like we had a lesson in different meat cuts. Wish we lived nearer as we this would definitely be a favourite.

Amazing meat and super nice boss

Delicious hidden gem , found last minute during shopping in Westfields . A short 5-10 min walk from the shopping centre. Excellent meat , steak tartare was top . Tiramisu was also very good and homemade . They have an excellent selection of wine - a repeat .

What an amazing place! We stopped there accidentally a few months ago once just for a drink and now this has become our favourite place in the neighbourhood. Great wine selection, amazing starters (pork belly is our favourite). The meat is just divine. Last time we ordered Tomahawk and T-bone steaks and it was the best steak i have ever had. But the greatest part about the place is its staff who are really friendly, knowledgeable and fun.

We’ve been coming here since it opened. The last visit we paid £24 for 2 ribeye steaks, asking for thick cut for a celebration dinner. This is what I just opened, it’s pretty disappointing. Also bought giuanciale and opened it to find it was the end piece so unusable as it’s dry salted. I’d really expect better from you guys. I have no problem paying when it’s quality but this is not that.

Instead of a review I issue a challenge…find me a better pulled pork sandwich loaded up and covered in mouth watering bbq sauce for £8!

Be careful! The staff doesn't seem to care much about the expiration dates and storage conditions of meat products. After purchasing, we found that the product had long gone bad and was unsafe to consume. The turkey ham was sticky and had a distinct odor suggesting it had gone bad several days ago.

Absolutely deserves its 4.8 rating. We had two ribeyes and agreed they were among the best steaks we've ever had. Incredible chips too - so crispy and almost creamy on the inside. Appetite is a simple and unassuming place but the food is top notch and they have an excellent choice of wine too.

Incredibly average dinner. Chicken wings were terrible - very odd glaze and weird yoghurt dip. Pork chop and burger were fine. Frozen chips always disappoint.

Best meat and butchery experience in East London!! Quality of all products and cooking is simply amazing. Best T-bone we had in our lives! And everything in a place with a cozy and unique atmosphere, with the tables and meat counter in the same room. The service is excellent and inviting, making you feel at home. Definite a must do, to dine in or take products home or both.

We stumbled across this little gem after playing at the Tumbling Bay Park and we are so glad we did. The kids could play outside on the mound as us adults could supervise them and enjoy really good food. We ordered a lamb burger, a cheeseburger, pork belly and salt beef panini - IT WAS ALL DELICIOUS 😋 the burgers are made fresh daily and you could really taste the difference. The chips are also really good, maybe triple fried fries? A brilliant place for a nice chilled lunch.

Appetite is one of those places that really makes a difference to how special your neighbourhood is. We have had their meat, chicken, cheeses, paninis, products from the shop, the tiramisu and dinner in the restaurant and it’s all of the best quality and delicious. The staff is always friendly and very knowledgeable and whole place simply has charm, character and warmth.

Located just a 5-minute walk from Stratford International, this place instantly transported me back to Italy. The “prosciutti and formaggi” platter boasted exceptional quality, with Parma ham that was truly exceptional. Their tagliata was cooked to perfection, served exactly as medium rare should be. It's definitely a spot not to be missed.

I recently started working in the village and from the get go these guys have been amazing to me. They came over and introduced themselves and made me feel welcome as this was a new area and role for me. Not only are they hospitable beyond belief but the food is amazing and I find myself constantly going back for more. Ruari is a top notch cook.

Every time we are in London, it is a mandatory visit to see our friends in East Village. High quality ingredients processed into high quality products and dishes. You could pick anything from the menu, but the pork belly is really something else.

What a gem !!! We've had their scotch egg, sausage roll, tiramisu and burgers ( cheeseburger and lamb), it was all wonderful and delicious. Both take out and dine in service has been amazing. I highly recommend this place !

The air-dried beef here is so famous👍We ordered a few dishes to share, especially the ax steak and lamb rack. After eating them, you will have endless aftertaste.

Wonderful butcher and restaurant in East Village. We regularly frequent here for both meat to buy and cook at home and to eat at the restaurant. Out favourites are the beef tartare, crispy pork belly, and dry aged steaks, with tiramisu for dessert! The staff are wonderful and very helpful. The butcher products are expensive but top quality!

if you wanted to be treated like family , have some of the best produce, drink great wine and be impeccably served this is the place for you . Avoid the chains come and support local people here !

One of the best steak dinners that I've had. Super tasty meat and great service. The beef was perfectly cooked and the sides and sauce suited the meat. The wine was a good accompaniment to the meal. Excellent place - next time I'll try the T bone

The burger was disappointing. The pattie for the wild boar burger had an overpowering herb flavour that drowned out the meat. It was quite dry, I don't know what percentage of it was meat. The bun was also over grilled.

Fantastic little place. Popped in to buy some cheese and ended up staying for charcuterie and a bottle of wine. Really friendly and knowledgeable staff, a great selection of food and drink to eat in, and an excellent deli and butcher too. We'll definitely be back.

L accueil est très sympa et le service impeccable. J y suis allé une première fois ou j ai mangé une très bonne entrecôte et une seconde avec un délicieux burger. A conseillé si vous êtes dans le coin et amateur de bonnes viandes ou de bons fromages.

We tried oh so many times having a proper t-bone (1kg+) dinner in London that had the quality and the experience we miss so much from our trips in Piedmont or even more so, Tuscany. And we went everywhere in London, the expensive mayfair restaurant, the “other” coveted Italian butcher/restaurant (although a chain) in south kensington... and the more recent addition in Liverpool Street. But nothing compares to Appetite. They love what they do, they know the cuts, and how to cook them to perfection. Their meat is superb, marbled, tender, you can eat it as it is but the little trip it makes on the charcoal grill transforms the cuts, makes them sublime. The peppercorn sauce - amazing. The starters - fabulous. Even the sides don’t disappoint. And it is just our second time at this gem. I am eager to go through all their menu, one bite at a time

Amazing butchers and really friendly staff

Not the cheapest place around but food sold here is worth every penny as it’s high quality. I especially like the butchery as I think the butcher really cares about his meat and this is reflected in the good selection of cuts and how good everything tastes.

The fact that there's an option to select 'late night food' just proves my point even further. This place serves alcohol outside until 2am on Sundays, and midnight on Saturdays with no consideration for the fact it's in the middle of a residential area. I'm pretty sure their licencing is only supposed to be until 8pm on weekdays and 10pm on weekends. Do better by your own community!

I don’t do long reviews on Tripadvisor but this is an exception. This is more than a restaurant, it’s a cultural experience!! Warm, authentic Italian hospitality at its very best. Italian families eating next to us with extended families. Nothing is a problem, genuine customer service from a family business. We arrived as customers and we made to feel like family when we left. You choose the cut of meat you want, and fab Italian wine from the shelf and then let the show begin. Trust the staff recommendation to take care of the rest. The sauces are fresh and home made , desserts are delicate and the meat is first class. It’s may not seem like an obvious destination for a meal but it’s the best night in a restaurant I can recall.

Stratford’s best kept secret. A meat lover’s paradise. We stumbled upon this brilliant establishment purely by chance and I am pleased to say that I will be back next time I am in the area. Impressive menu. Fantastic food, particularly the high quality meats. Very friendly and accommodating staff.
