The Grill Restaurant Stratford in Newham

After a 6 year hiatus from the closure of their East Ham branch, I visited The Grill - Stratford after discovering this branch, with my wife. I must say this was one of our best experiences dining out in a long time, especially when looking for a high quality burger. The food, grade of meats in the burger and wings, alongside the sides were outstanding, mAtA! We ordered 2 burgers with the owner akhi Yasin paying attention to our order and recommending we upgrade to the OG (which he graciously did so on the house), buffalo wings, homemade onion rings and their mash. Alongside a strawberry mocktail. The black Angus burgers were cooked perfectly to the order of medium well with great seasoning, juicy and succulent. The onion rings were fresh and crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. The mash was creamy in a generous portion size and the wings were grilled in a tangy buffalo sauce. The mocktail was perfect in volume, sweetness and flavour. We shared their famous Belgian waffle which was accompanied with the most amazing vanilla ice cream. Sweet, fluffy and a lovely drizzle of chocolate sauce. To cap an excellent dinner, we were then treated to a complementary hot chocolate and karak chai to complement the meal! Fantastic service from all of the staff, clean premises and above all, food of the highest quality. Can’t wait to visit soon, iA.

I have been here many times because it’s close to station it’s nice spot I always enjoyed But this time the mixed burger tasted different and I tried to explain the server usually it’s nice and tasty but he didint care and he didint want to listen even what I was saying he just ignored me disappointed

Not worth the money. Little portions, lack of presentation, poor recipes. We ordered a burger, it comes without any salad inside or on side, just bun and patty. No chips either.

Ordered chicken stake and lamb chops. While the stake was good but the lamb chops were not that good, too chewy and a bit smelly.

One of the best restaraunts I've been to ever! Steaks were amazing, dessert was one of the best and perfect. The atmosphere is very jolly as staff engage and talk with you. Absolutely beautiful 👌

Great place to eat if u want to eat with family or friends. 10/10 food especially on the mac and cheese and the chicken pieces. Mojitos on point.

Food was great. I had a burger which was cooked to perfection and had a really good sauce...not sure what it was but it was really tasty. My dad had a steak which was super tasty, cooked just as requested with a spicy glaze which gave it a kick. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Would definitely return.

After being rejected by the rude service of nandos not letting us in, this place a 2 min walk from nandos deserves the money more we spent. I’ve been here many times but this time with my family. We ordered a lot of food and everything turned out great, fresh and tasty. Would want to visit here again and again. Also the mash is the best good to order here.

Perfect medium sirloin steak, very good burger, even plain chips were done just perfectly. Nice atmosphere, our waiter Akhil was very helpful and perfectly competent. We will be back!

Lovely place. Great atmosphere and really good for families. We really enjoyed our meal. The grilled chicken is spiced perfectly and very tender. Will be visiting again soon.

We went for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn't too busy, you have to use a QR code to order and pay online from the table. The food came out quickly not sure if it'll be this quick when its busy. We really enjoyed our food, and the staff were very friendly making sure we were happy with everything. Overall a great experience, we will definitely visit again!

Amazing customer service and great food. The Bomb was really nice and flavoursome. Kids have allergies and the staff were great with going through the menu and double and triple checking our orders with the allergies. Would definitely recommend.

This place is nothing special... food was ok, starters were really nice - sticky wings were nice - mac & cheese was exceptional - lamb chops were nice The mains I had a steak, which wasn't wow the sides with the steak were better. Mocktails were really nice. Overall I wouldn't drive 2 hours again for this place.

I was having a rough week and THE GRILL went out of their way to send me 2 extra piece of chicken, extra chips, free 5 drinks and free onion rings. I had not expected this and I feel very bad but I just wanted to say that not only that their food is AMAZING, I always order from them because of how delicious their food is but their customer service and atmosphere is out of the world. I pray for so much success, happiness for THE GRILL & their staff/workers and may Allah bless you guys.

We have ordered from The Grill numerous times and the food has always been great. Today we had a few items missing from my order and contacted the restaurant. The customer service was fantastic as they quickly arranged for the missing items to be delivered alongside some complimentary drinks. We love ordering from this restaurant especially when we have family visiting. We appreciate the excellent service and highly recommend this place!! ❤

I ordered food at 7:14, the time is currently 8:14 and my food is still not here, I ordered just one pasta and I’ve waited over an hour. This is the 2nd time the service has been slow and unorganised. Dissatisfied

Great experience at the grill. The food was all fresh and hot. The meat was tender and the sides were just right. We went as a large family and it was perfect! Would definitely recommend!

Can never go wrong with the Grill- personally the M&C tasted a bit bland but we love the burger /chips/shakes. Always fast delivery, always arrive on time or earlier.

I tried to order milkshakes with my friend and they said they didn’t have any or something like that although I saw another person Having one.Then, my and my friend ordered cookie dough and it took SO LONG to make.I took it as takeaway and when I reached home I realised it was burnt and the guy had covered it with chocolate sauce all over.For around 6 pounds that was such a small portion and added to that it was burnt.
