AMAZING FOOD! I come here often and the server Tahira was very kind and helpful and service and food was amazing! Butter chicken, full chicken, rice and salad is all amazing and really good prices.

The only good food was the karahi but still can be improved. But tikka was not upto mark at all. It needs improvement overall . Quite reasonably priced.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon. The Nihari was nice. Ordered a Desi breakfast which was nice but nothing to shout about tbh (Omelette, paratha, halwa & a karak chai) will visit again at some point to try their tawa. 4*

It’s halal and portion size is very good, plus the taste is also great!! We loved it, we will try their breakfast once so I can alter my review to add that too!! Must try the tawa😋

Authentic Pakistani food. It has become the go-to place as whatever we have tried so far is tasty with reasonable prices and portions. Tawa is a must try along with desi breakfast.

This review is just for breakfast. My wife is from Lahore so we ordered with high hopes! We had the Lahori and Pendu breakfast with a tilli naan. It was very little food for the price (3 small pots, 2 paratha and the one naan for £20) and it was bland. The food was nearly cold when it arrived, which also didn't help. Really wanted to like this place and we will try it for dinner sometime - but would not recommend the breakfast as it stands.

Really nice vibe here with good food and good ambience. We had the kahori breakfast. The halwa, puris and the tea were all top notch. The channas were great but slightly underseasoned for my personal tastes. Would recommend definitely.

I had a great experience at Lahore. We were served by two amazing women who provided excellent service, making sure we had everything we needed. We ordered two tawas for three people, and the food was delicious. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the overall price was very reasonable. Highly recommend this place for a great meal and excellent service!

What a find in Sheffield! We're not short of good South Asian eating places, but for great, authentic food at very reasonable prices, this is the top. Wonderful, friendly service. My friend and I had the Tawa for two and everything was delicious and freshly prepared. I'll definitely be back! 😋

I recently dined at Lahore Restaurant 342 Abbeydale Road S7 1FN Sheffield, a Pakistani restaurant that delivers an authentic taste of Pakistan. JUST HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE VISITING LAHORE RESTAURANT THROUGH GOOGLE SEARCH. AT FIRST WAS BIT NERVOUS REGARDING THE TASTE BUT WHEN WE HAD HAVE OUR BREAKFAST IT WAS AMAZING. REAL AND AUTHENTIC DESI TASTE TO MY LIKING. WILL DEFINITELY VISIT AGAIN.

Excellent restaurant if you are looking for authentic desi style Pakistani and Indian style food. The quality of the food was great and the service was also very good. This place is defo one to check out if you not been here before. I will defo be back.

Affordable pricing and food is okay

Good place. Had Keema paratha, chicken tikka and mutton biryani. Portion sizes were good. Keema paratha and mutton biryani were good but chicken tikka could have been better in terms of the marination/tenderness. Overall, nice place to have a meal. Will visit again.

Update: 16 Sept 2024. Desi Breakfast is once again on the menu! After a long absence, the Lahore is once again available for those lucky enough to be able to drop in for a breakfast treat! I had my absolute favourite of Chana dahl with freshly made Puri bread and home made chutney. It was a tad spicy (maybe not for you!) but very tasty. Recommended for people who appreciate good tasting food but who might not be so concerned about their waistlines! ********************************************************** A great restaurant located in a revitalised area of Abbeydale Road S7. Spicy traditional Pakistani food served on a tawa is a good option as pretty much everything comes at once. No alcohol is served but plenty of small independent bars across the road so eat after a few beverages! Will definitely visit again.

Probably the best desi food ive had since ive been in the UK and the prices are super cheap. Tawa for 3 for only 35 and it fills 3 people up completely with leftovers too! Perfect food!

Breakfast was amazing, paratha with desi omelette was superb. I have also tried tawa while visiting last time that was really excellent in taste. They have very good staff especially Tahira, she is very kind.and helping.

Food was fair quality but the (£45. For 3 people)Tawa was bit of rip off ! Minimum pcs per person and small bits minimised sizes portions etc as I will indicate in the picture 7 pcs of meat for 3 adults rest of Tawa was full of chips and ch Currys as you can see your self so won’t recommend the Tawa side of things. I’ve indicated the amount of ch curry/ meat curry you get for 3 people and the sizes please have look ! 👀

First time having meal in Sheffield, no idea what other Indian/Pakistani restaurants but this was not a pleasant experience. Took half hour after sitting at the table to get Papadam’s then 90mims after to get the mains. Further more saw 2 cockroaches, the waitress tried her best but was an absolute shocking experience. Could hear everyone else’s conversation as the music was not loud enough to cover this. We were seated in the family area there wasn’t really a separation between the 2 dining area’s. The waitress knew we were not happy and kept apologising but this did not help with our dining experience. Food wise the starters were good especially the chicken pakoras but the main were not nice at all, what I had was definitely not Chicken Karahi, and definitely not worth the 2 hour wait. A place to avoid unless you are used to eating in run down places.

My accidental discovery of this restaurant turned out to be an amazing experience. We were warmly welcomed by Mohammed, who offered us a taste of their delightful menu. We opted for the Tawa for 3, a flavorful assortment of lamb chops, seekh kebab, chicken wings, chicken tikka, masala fish, lamb karahi, chicken karahi, along with roti, naan, and chips. The food was delicious, and Mohammed even gave us the freedom to choose our preferred type of naan bread. We will revisit this fantastic place for another delightful meal. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to savour authentic Punjabi cuisine.

The owner/manager was really nice great service and the food was perfect, we had the tawa for 3 and it was enough to feed our family, the food especially the lamb was cooked great the meat was nice and tender. Would recommend and we'll be returning soon!

we had some work done in my house and could not use kitchen, so we decided to head to Sharrow end to get something to eat we were so hungry. walked into Lahore and food smelled lovely, we sat down (8:10pm) and menus given. one family & a small group of 3 had just finished and one group of 6 had just ordered, when we were there (so not busy at all) . some really good food on menu and i was keen to try the nihari. 8:29pm, near 20 min later and no one came to take orders. so we walked off. hence one star. at least offer us a drink or explain to us if you are busy so we can decide to go elsewhere or stay

Like their lahori tawa 2p. Good serving for the price. The gravy was tasty but only they should improve the ribs marination as it was too tangy.

We had a tawa for 3. I have to say the food was absolutely amazing. Everything was flavoured and cooked to perfection. The lamb and chicken curry was perfectly spiced. We did ask for it to be extra hot and spicy. The starters were cooked perfection. Not dry and all. And there was more than enough food. Service from the waitress Tahira was very good. Very polite and helpful. I will definitely return

Lovely curry go regular but first time leaving a review

1 star review is over generous. Placed a booking couple of days in advance. Arrived on time for my booking. Booked the family area which was not ready. Had customer seated there. Was told to wait. Waited over 30 mins to be seated. Had to stand. There wasnt enough seats. Was seated on rusted garden chair. Given dirty plates and cups. Staff was extremely rude. Female waiter became aggressive and started shouting and pointing fingers. Food was below expectations. Keep away.

I am really disappointed with my experience. The food and service was poor. The waitress was extremely rude. I over saw her disrespecting a family and it was off putting and offensive. A staff manner should never treat a customer the way she treated that family.

The service was appalling. Had a booking made days in advance and the table was not ready. Family was seated on dirty tables waiting for 40 minutes until the where cleaned. The order was then taken 20 minutes later. Personally advise not to come back here.

My husband, daughter and two grandchildren went last week, the lady serving us was so pleasant and helpful. The food was very good , very good portions. It was my husband and granddaughers birthdays and I took a cake. The waitress very kindly provided the candles and brought it to us singing happy birthday. I had keema biriyani and it was delicious. Compliments to the chef. Very reasonably priced. We took our own wine.

Food is always on point portion are big, service and staff Tahra & chef waheed are swift, waheed always come out from his kitchen to ask if everything is ok, food is authentic Pakistani style, reminds me of eating at truck stops in Pakistan. Well worth a visit.

Overall everything was good and the taste of the lamb karahi was nice, great sauce etc, however there was one grave error which was the lamb was hard. Needed to be boiled more prior to the tadka process. Softening the meat adequately either makes or breaks the dish.

From entering the restaurant you are welcomed with a smile We tried the tawa for 3 £35 plus pop Beautiful from start to finish. Plenty to have a go at . We have been a couple of times now and the food is unreal We will be back again soon !! I highly recommend this authentic restaurant 10/10

Can I just start by saying, my first experience at this resturant was so good from the service to the food even too the music taste making the atmosphere a delight. The second time around was disgusting from service to the food and even the taste of the Indian music making the atmosphere so boring and dull. The presentation on the tawa was awful. Oh my gosh! The waiter was so unprofessional with his service. He literally touched the top of glass with his hand and then expected me to drink out the same glass. He then came back with the tawa and whilst serving the tawa there was big fly on my glass which he then proceeds to try and kill by trying to trap it on the glass with his bare hands and just leaves the glass there. When more nan was brought out instead of leaving it on the dish it was placed on for us. He just picks up and shoves it on the tawa. He touched our food constantly and serving plated and glassed which I found disgusting. No other resturant serve food like that touching everything we bloody got served. I will never be visiting again. Awful!!! They need to sort the waitering service out that waiter was annoying. We ordered a tawa for 2 all we ate was roti and nan all the mix grill was left and not even touched. Dont recommend at all.

My pregnant wife took me for a breakfast date at The lahore Restaurant for a desi breakfast. Their breakfast menu was mouth watering with puri channa and halwa. But my wife and I decided to try something different. So we ordered Nihaari and Paya with paratha and omelette with desi karak chai. It is must try breakfast place.

Home like desi food. I loved Aloo paratha, nihari and paya. Must visit for all desi food lovers! Definitely coming back!

Best halal restaurant in Sheffield.

Small Punjabi restaurant we'd not discovered before and wanted to check out. Obviously popular with locals and for takeways. Service was very friendly but seemed a bit slow to start with, then our main course arrived before we'd finished our poppadums and the pickle tray.... Lovely fresh poppadums, and the rotis were delicious too, as was the mango lassi - we had a large jug. The mains were a bit too spicy for us, to be honest - we should have asked for milder versions at the start. Good flavour, subtly different from a couple of Indian restaurants we've been to regularly, but a bit hard to pick up the flavours given the heat, especially with the Lahore chick pea special. And you need to be aware that the restaurant isn't licensed, though that didn't worry us this particular evening. Very reasonably priced though, and worth checking out for variety.

Took 2 hours for our food to begin to arrive on a Friday night, half our table had finished eating by the time the rest of it been served. Waitress seemed disinterested. Food was tasty when it arrived but kebabs were a let down. There were only 2 other tables in at 8pm on a Friday night so no excuse for the delay and pretty telling. Avoid.

Food took over an hour to come. The food was really good though. I ordered a karak chai which ended up being a creamy builders tea, disappointing. White people like flavour too.

Everything is 5 star. I was up from London with the family and decided to try this place. We ordered a tawa for and it was one of the best I've ever had. I will definitely give it another go when I'm up here again.

Ma shaa Allah Everything from the starters to the the main course and most importantly for me the service from the waitress to the new owner and chef and not forgetting the price too was a evening meal to remember. Very good, indeed I'll be back with my kids.

The Lahore Tawa is definitely worth a try. Go for one of the tawa options where everything comes on one metal platter. The food is spicy so be prepared! If you come as a group, try and book the small room on the side.

Had dinner with friends. Thé TAWa was amazing. One sizzling dish with everything included. Plus bottle of soft drink. Good side room for family function. Can’t go wrong. Amazing service and food.

Authentic and delicious home cooked style Pakistani food, reasonably priced, generous portions. Family run, friendly service. Have returned on several occasions now and invariably great food.

More takeaway style then dine-in, needs alot of improvement.

If I could give this place more than this rating i would. The food is soo authentic and TASTY AF!! Top 3 in sheffield. Would definitely comeback here again. They have got good combo options and the staff are really friendly. They do takeaways as well but would suggest having sitdown with family and friends for the full experience.

Absolutely beautiful authentic Pakistani/Indian food really good fresh food everytime I've been! Very constant too.

The meal we had was outstanding. Quality ingredients result in Quality meals. The masala fish as ever was delicious, but the lamb chops melted in my mouth...my main meal was so tasty, accompanied by the most tasty, garlic chilli nan. If you want authentic, excellent quality Asian food...you know where to go .

The curries are freshly made and delicious. Starters are ok. Overall, a decent place to eat. Also have a family/private room.

Been twice over the last two weeks and the food is better than before. The food is fresh and the service is good.

What a great meal we had. The massala fish was crisp and tasty and the onion bahji was delicious. The currys were excellent, as was the nan bread. Front off house ,"Taf", was friendly and welcoming without being over the top. Will definitely be returning.

Had been recommended this place by a few mates down at the gym who love their curries so called in and asked if they did a decent vegan curry and roti. The guy who served me was pretty eager to help and accommodate. When it came it was a little too salty and oily for me, so wasn't exactly to my taste but I still enjoyed it. The inside is kinda dilapidated and dirty. Not an amazing experience but it's probably better when you've got less strict dietary requirements.

We four friends were in Sheffield and a friend recommended Apna Lahore for authentic Pakistani food. Best Tasting Curry I have eaten after a long time. Very friendly and courteous staff and price was unbelievably cheap. I will definitely go back whenever I am in Sheffield again
