I’ve been coming here for a while to takeout tea and I noticed the price has gone up which is fine. However, the biggest issue for me is that when you take out tea they give you less than what you drink in their mug. The takeout tea is never secure so I brought a standard to mug which is a “standard” size to avoid spillage in my car as I saw another person do this and that great idea. Anyway, the filled my tea mug less than half way! I was flabbergasted and couldn’t get my head around it. I know this is sad but I actually went and measured it and had 75ml of tea. There mug which is a standard size itself gives you around 380ml. Being a tea connoisseur it’s normal for a mug to be 380ml and a tea cup to be 250ml which is the size of their take out cup. Do they seriously not realise they give more tea when you eat in and less when you take out - it makes no sense and in basic terms you’re ripping off your customers. It’s just tea!!! Water, tea bags and evaporated milk which you are boiling in a huge pan so it’s not exactly expensive to make. You should look at your competitors who provide more tea, same cost. If people like your tea that’s a positive don’t ruin it by being tight if you give the full experience out they are likely to return, when they go home/work after making a trip to your restaurant only to find 75ml of tea is quite annoying. You have a great reputation and don’t ruin for something small like this. Please bring back a full cuppa and upgrade your size of the takeout cups or fill our mugs that we bring which saves your money on foil or clingfilm, cups as well. See the good in this and please guys I am a regular and spend loads on tea like others more than a apna breakfast or even halwa puri! Happy to update this and remove if I see a positive difference. ASKING ANY ITHER CUSTOMERS WHO EXPERIENCED THIS AND SHARE MY VIEW WITH THE TEA PLEASE LEAVE A REVIEW TO SUPPORT THIS SO THE OWNERS TAKE THIS INTO ACCOUNT AND MAKE A POSITIVE CHANGE FOR THE BETTER TO KEEP THEIR CUSTOMERS NOT LOSE THEM! Thank you and sorry if I offend the owners but the tea you gave upset me given I travel all the way from hall green just to buy tea. It should give you an understanding that repeat custom and loyal customers with continue to come but you do this kinda thing you’ll lose them. Spending £15 a week on tea and travel, time and petrol os a big deal for us maybe not you, we are just a number or a customer paying for the cheapest item on your menu,

Stopped by on a Saturday and waited around 10 minutes. The food came out hot, fresh, and really tasty. The service was excellent, friendly and efficient. the place was clean and well-kept. Definitely worth a visit!

They have pathetic food and they’re the shame on lahore’s name. They aren’t even aware of 1% of pure lahori taste. In the name of lahori channey they will serve you a filthy dish full of soda with zero taste. And one more thing, if you need an extra nan or anything you need to go to the counter first and pay only then you will be able to get an extra nan. So either they should change the name of their restaurant as it’s not justified with Lahore or they should find at least 50% of original lahori taste

We got there at 3 o'clock on a Saturday. Luckily, it wasn't too busy We had the Apna breakfast, chicken Biryani, lamb shank nihari, butter chicken and Kulcha. Everything was delicious and flavourful, my kids enjoyed it too. Service was great and we'll definitely come again.

I had high expectations after seeing many positive reviews about the breakfast menu, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. I ordered the Paya and Halwa Puri. While the Paya meat was good, the gravy was overly salty. The puris were too oily, the chana lacked flavor, and the naan was served cold. The tea was excessively sweet, which didn’t help either. Additionally, you have to place your order and pay at the counter before eating, which felt inconvenient. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience, and my wife has no interest in visiting again

I visit numerous times all food is delicious specifically kulcha and Chana.

Went for breakfast on Sunday, It was as busy as expected. The waiting time was half an hour to get the table🪑. The food was delicious with the serving size considerable. Tried the halwa puri, Nihari, and chany, The kulcha was something else😋. Will go again in the future to get an amazing breakfast again.

Food was tasty , service was good and staff being very friendly and helping and accommodating where possible. Only issue I could find was no running orders which was a bit of shame as with kids you can’t predict if things would be needed at run time or not. This is the only thing they need to work on maybe. Overall experience well done. Recommendation ( must try Nihari and Kari Pakora )

Recently visited Apna Lahore. Really loved the food and taste. Typical desi vibes. Halal and pocket friendly for people who are looking to have some good desi food. I'm my opinion the portion size was very less for the Biryani and could've been more. Overall good experience.

I have been to Apna Lahore so many times, and every time the food is fresh, hot, and delicious. The taste is always good, the service is great, and the staff is friendly and cooperative.Food presentation is perfect, and if you ask for extra spice, such as chilies, they will provide it. Apna Lahore is my first priority for breakfast.

It’s my first and last time. I been to this restaurant for breakfast. The breakfast I ordered disappointed me , ,meat wasn’t cooked properly. I wouldn’t recommend it . What ever I ordered, I hade to leave it like that on the table. I would’ve recommended this restaurant for breakfast . Rubbish service .don’t waste your money

Good place for Pakistani/Desi breakfast. Rates are very reasonable. Good taste. Can a bit crowded on weekend mornings, but worth the wait. I recommend their Halwa Puri, Kulcha Chana and Sweet Lassi.

Cannot recommend this place enough! Price A***** Food and flavours A***** Staff A***** Very busy due to quality and prices, so ensure to come at good time or be prepared to wait a little to get a table. It really does take you back home to Punjab and the flavours do taste like apna Lahore. If you are in Birmingham, make sure you make a stop here.

We had an unexpected visit and arrived around 2 PM, not realising they closed at 3. Despite that, they still made us a fresh chicken karahi, which was absolutely delicious! It took some time to prepare, but that’s expected for freshly made food, and we’d much rather wait a little longer for great taste than have something rushed. Their naan was also fantastic. Overall, a wonderful experience—highly recommend!

They asked us to pay before eating which is something very weird for us, coming from London. Food was pathetic. I am certain that the reviews are fake and paid ones. Please don’t waste your time and experience. Go somewhere else.

Order 3 nirhari for a Sunday breakfast get together in advance. Arrived 15 mins early to collect and the place was heaving with customers (always a positive sign). After a few mins asked how long my food would be, was told 2 mins- and amazingly this was a proper 2 minutes !! (Not a Desi 2 mins 🤣) food was ready on the dot and tasted great !! The food went down a treat with everyone. A credit to all of the staff for their punctuality and quality of the nihari.

Excellent starter. Good value for money and service was good too The pilau rice was tasty and portion sizes big . Family loved the butter chicken- recommend for those who want a less spicy dish. Only downside was the area was small. Inshallah they expand their restaurant space in the future. Would definitely visit again if that ever happens

Apna Lahore is an authentic desi food restaurant famous for typical Lahori Nashta. Any person desiring Lahori nashta must visit this place and can enjoy real taste. I tried their thali of Chana and Halwa puri, simply outstanding, great combination including quality of puri.. Brain Masala quantity and taste were amazing . Tried paya too and would rate it 7/10. It needs improvement in gravy.. We also tried Lassi, which was perfect in texture and taste, and really loved it.. Similarly, their Kulcha and Naan, too, were excellent and exceptional.. Paratha needs improvement... Staff attitude was welcoming and warm.. If you reach late you might have to wait for your table.. Highly recommended and would definitely visit again..

Came in today afternoon and tried the chicken karahi and kulcha naan which was done well and very delicious also had a nice karak chai. Good atmosphere and it was pleasant. Great customer service and food was first class

Was here with 2 other friends today waited for more than 44 minutes and when we asked for 3-4 times is our food coming? They came with a sorry face we lost your reciept can you order again? And when we asked how this happend? They came with pockey faces, i will say don’t waste your money and a big no for me for next time.

We are waiting for almost a hour but our order is not delivered and when we asked about our order they say we don't now about your order even they receive payment in advance

Apna Lahore delivers authentic Lahori flavors with outstanding dishes like their rich exceptional nahari. The warm ambiance and attentive service make it a perfect spot for a delightful dining experience.

This place has improved significantly after major refurbishment. The food is excellent, authentic Pakistani breakfast. Their menu has improved, including many items attractive to younger generations e.g. a full English breakfast and many more. Their service has also improved with more staff members, friendly faces, and quick service. You place your order at the counter, and the food is served on the table. You can pay by card as well. The atmosphere is very congested, trying to squeeze as many people. The restaurant was cold, especially every time the door opened. The parking is difficult in the area. The only food item we did not like was the pink tea, so avoid it.

Had the Apna Breakfast for the second time and it was top notch.

Us guys had came from Scotland for the night and were hungry. The food from this place was delicious. I had the nihari and it tasted very authentic. The meat was a decent quality. The other guys had English breakfasts and some of the other curries which was also good. Washed it down with a karak chai. Left feeling satisfied, I’d give this place an 8/10. Definitely recommend trying this place out.

We visit Apna Lahore often, mainly for their amazing breakfast whether its desi or english, good selection to choose from Catering for children's too. Generous sized portations reasonably priced and karak chai is my favorite. Service is lovely too. Highly recommended!

Horrible experience. Would give 0 stars if I could. No welcome. Had to go to counter to order food. Horrible ambiance. Lighting gave us a headache. Ordered halwa puri. Karak chai had a disgusting taste. Channa tasted nice. Halwa was very plain. Puri's were chewy and rubbery. Will NOT be going back.

My trip from Coventry to Birmingham only to have lahori style chickpeas & puri breakfast in Apna Lahore restaurant was really worth while. I will recommend everyone to experience the taste, hospitality, service and the environment. Totally a hidden gem 💎 . Some people may say its a bit pricey but the overall experience is far better than any other similar restaurant. I will definitely come back again and again and again ... ( you get the idea). The cherry on top was the Very generous size like-home Karak chai .... Lastly thank you Apna Lahore for the overall customer service and experience. May Allah bless you
