After a hectic day I arrived back late and rather than wander back through B’ham city center I thought I’d try a take away from Manzils as it was literally around the corner. The place was empty but they were very happy to do me a lamb madras with rice & naan. All the food was great and it filled a spot, I know now if I’m back in town where to go for a quick meal!

Massively overpriced for what you get. Online menu is years out of date, never would have gone in if I knew the prices.

The food is okay, however the PORTION SIZES are tiny considering how much the food costs. I've never been to a restaurant with such poor value for money. In reply to the owner's response, I ordered the chicken bhuna which is listed under specialties in the menu not as a side dish. Maybe you should look at your menu again.

There was a large group of us and it was like they got the dishes completely mixed up, hot dishes were mild at best and mild dishes were absolutely lethal. Peshawari Naan was tasteless. Never again!

The was great and Hifzal Khans service made the evening better

1st time in this restaurant. Found the staff really friendly. Best seekh kebab I've had in a very long time. Will definitely return.

Charged alot for small portions.

Last Saturday I was eating here, actually I love the dish which is Chicken Jalfrezi Balti .It was my best dishes in my life. So I highly recommend this restaurant. If you are new in birmingham and you are searching restaurant for eating food then you will go to the Manzil's restaurant without any doubt. And also there service is very good.

Really bad experience, taste was too bad, i left all the rice, no taste just they boiled the rice plus look at the bill

Visited my favourite Balti house from student days of 30 years ago with family - the pakora, samosas, tarka dahl, biryani, rogan josh and balti were superbly spiced and herbed. Good to talk to the warm and friendly staff about those 5am nights of the 90s, recommend highly,especially for student group reunions.

Disappointingly small portions ! Considering the fact that I was charged £13 for it. The portion of rice is really very disappointing for £13. All in all even the food quality was not up to the mark. The prawns were as dry as it can get and the rice was hard to chew.

Absolute top class, food, service and staff, food on the table inside 10 mins, numerous check backs to see how everything was. The best Balti House I have been to in 35 years, amazing, a must visit if you are in Birmingham. Matt from Nottingham.

Manzils restaurant in Birmingham offers a mixed experience. Just picked up a takeaway from there and it’s absolutely delicious I’d definitely recommend it. Great service and the food tastes amazing

I had the seekh kebab to start was nice and spicy ( takeaway) then a chicken jalfrazia which had a good amount of chicken in nice flavours and nicely spiced. The only thing I'd change would be the chunky chips to fries. Nice find while working away though 👌 😋😋 just had same again wow best jalfrazia I've had and seekh kebab so tasty

Food wasn't at all bad here. Lamb was decent, sauce very nice. What wasn't nice was waiting nearly 90 mins for the main courses for a group of 8 when there was only one other table being used. I wouldn't come here again. So many better options near to this.

I would not recommend to anyone. The food was too bad and the taste was not good.I personally don’t recommend to any others because there is no value for money. And the fun fact is it was written there is student discount of 10% and while payment they said they don’t 😂😂.

We were couple of friends when we went to this restaurant.We order couple of things i.e As a starter we order Mix platter which seems to be under cooked and smells rotten. And coming to the rotis and Naans it tasted like a rubber. In my personal experience it was one of the worst place near Coach station.

Wasting time, they use their own driver send order. But this driver is noob, he even can’t use the Google map. And so rude, he go to the wrong place and madness, blame me. I won’t try this restaurant again.

I wanted to have a traditional balti curry while in Birmingham and Manzils is located within walking distance from Birmingham city centre. The staff were very attentive and advised me on my choices. I had poppadums and for the main lamb balti, saag paneer, pilau rice and a stuffed naan for a very reasonable price. I really enjoyed the naan. The balti is also very nice and available in various versions.

Super Indian very old cuisine quite spicy be careful Price between 30 and 50 for two.but at the top Not far from the center

Haven't been here for about 20 years but thought we'd give it a go as we were in town. We were not disappointed as the food was cooked beautifully and tasted really good. I can see why they are still here, highly recommended if you're in the top end of digbeth

Been coming here on and off since I was a student in 1981. Came back to Birmingham from South Wales and had to come back here. Still as good as it always was, brilliant place, never had a bad meal here! Great friendly service.

A bit costly compared to other restaurants like Soho Tavern or Sobi Kitchen at Birmingham.

Came for a new years meal with a group of friends. The lovely staff accommodated for 7 of us even without booking in advance. Food was great, loved the peshwari naan and mix grill, would enjoy another visit soon! Great place

Asked for 3 curries to be extremely hot, totally ignored. I gave a 5 star before on another account when I visited Birmingham city centre last time, saying I would be back for the curries, but this time the quality wasn't there. Meats are ok not as tender as I expected like before, flavours on the vindaloo wasn't there it's all a bit too salty and not even a bit spicy. Temperature was still hot when arrived. Portions were still acceptable. As it is my birthday dinner, I would say it is just on average this time, to be honest I was a little disappointed.

Great food and friendly, helpful staff. Went early in the evening, so was quiet. Lamb nagha was nicely spiced and the lamb was so tender.

The food was very bland for such a well established restaurant, portions were fairly small, and the garlic naan was just a plain naan brushed with garlic butter. The staff were very welcoming and attentive, but given the variety of good curry houses in Birmingham, I wouldn't visit this one again.

If this is the destination (manzil) for food, you must AVOID it. It is a special feeling to be told that 'this is how the food is made' when critiqued about the food not being spicy and hot, despite request. The audacity of the host is awe-inspiring. Cold and flavourless food, rude host, absent-minded waitstaff, grumpy cook who can't cook for mere 10 people on an empty restaurant at weekend night make for a perfect disaster of a restaurant.

I always order spinach paneer everywhere I go manzils is right up there the food is tops everytime never let down always delicious Zak the waiter and his crew trully know about customer service they are always very welcoming and freindly and very Authentic just like their food they make you feel like family there If you want guaranteed delicious food respectful customer service go eat at this place the only regret I have is that I haven't yet shaked the chefs hand to thank! him as he obviously cooks with a great heart! Good food, slow service even when not too busy.

I wanted to try a Balti in Birmingham so here I went. Unfortunately, the balti tasted like any average curry and the sag aloo and bhindi bhaji were both average. The lamb in the biryani was dry. The mains were served up while we were halfway through our popadoms.

Visited Manzil early last week and had one of the best naga curries I have ever had. Perfect level of spice, great consistency and taste. Good portion of meat too. Will be back next time I visit Birmingham!

We eat "Balti" very nice sauce, never see that in Germany. You can get that vegetarian, with Chicken, minced meat or king prawns. Minced Meat Balti is my favorite. Nice staff.

Came here with my family ( 8 of us) last night and the food was amazing chicken and mushroom balti was cooked to perfection. The service was excellent took care of our needs, as my dad (Peter Gorman) said I can understand why my uncle has been eating here for 20 years, will definitely be coming again. When you need food after a night out go here you won't be disappointed 😋 Highly recommend 👌

Visited Saturday 23rd September, 6pm. Excellent meal served by very attentive staff. The garlic naans and masala's were excellent. We will return next time we're in Brum.

Always been a super venue for curry. Been coming here since the 90s, quality food every time.

From Grimsby just staying in Birmingham overnight and myself and the wife saw Manzils and decided to give it a go. From the warm and friendly welcome to the outstanding food not to mention the best peshwari naan I’ve ever had the whole experience was exemplary.

Shows closing time 12am, receptionist says it closes at 11pm. Please make sure before going

Good service and excellent food, I felt I have given enough evidence on what happened 17th August and person in charge will be having words with the waiter who did not do there job properly overall it was resolved by management so this time I had a good experience and finally tasted there authentic food.

Three of us went for dinner on Friday evening. We each had a starter, a main and sides. All were delicious and the portions were generous in size. There were enough staff to tend to all the guests who were in that evening, they were friendly and polite. Definitely recommend. If we get back to Birmingham we will be booking in again.

I have been ordering this takeaway for the last 3 years and it is by far the tastiest, most consistent, delicious curry house. Prawn vindaloo, lamb naga and butter chicken all spot on. Please give this curry house a try as i am surprised by...

Just got my just eat delivery feel so angry punching myself for ordering from this place as a an Asian that loves his curry this food was an embarrassment to the Bangladeshi community lamp chops were very poor marinate you can tell it was cook...

I order a chicken madras with potatoes and spinach. It was not a madras as it was not spicy. It tasted like it was burnt. The sauce had an unusual smell and weird taste. Chips were overdone. Was not impressed won't be eating here again.

So sorry to have ordered from this restaurant.Am an Indian from London. Visted friends in B'ham.and wanted to treat thdm. A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. We ordered lamb bhuna....chicken balti..the sauces were the same for both dishes. EVEN ths veg dishes had the same spices. The chicken biryani was worse...dry and looked and tasted like leftover rice with some masala mixed. The reviews do no credit to this place. Sorry.....please be honest next time you order from this place.

Ordered take away. The butter paneer was swimming in sugar and so sweet that may as well could have been a desert. Tandoori murgh Masala was a strange mash of everything. Lacked in any taste. Definitely not worth the money.

Well it was a very disappointing visit to Manzils. The restaurant was pretty empty. It wasn't like the chef didn't have time to make the most delicious tasty dishes. I won't be attending again. The are promoting takeaways but all I'm going to say is make sure you do feedback if the food is not up to scratch. The chicken dish was bland and tasteless. No spice, chicken was hard to chew or cut into and almost flew off the plate. The poppadoms and drinks were the only decent part of the meal.

Went here on Saturday Night with my daughter on our weekend away to visit Crufts. We were in the Adagio apartments which are only a few yards away so was really convenient. It was fairly quiet when we arrived but soon filled up. There was a 2 large tables of people but it didn’t affect our service & the waiter was really attentive. Both starters & mains were nice & we will definitely be calling again next year when we come back for Crufts 2021

Myself and a few friends visited this restaurant yesterday evening and were pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was! We ordered 3 different types of naans, mains and desert. The mixed grill was lovely and the naans were exceptional, especially the pashwiri The staff were very friendly and catered to our needs, we enjoyed the atmosphere and shall be returning again very soon...Thank you x

I didn't want to write this review as I know I'd feel bad if I was honest. To put it in simple terms, the food was absolutely disgusting. We ordered the mixed grill starters, lamb naga curry, garlic and chilli chicken curry their special biryani, naan and rice. Every dish was disgusting. I'm not even trying to be mean or anything. The curries lacked any quality what so ever. You know for a fact they keep their curries for a few days at least. All my dishes tasted like it was cooked the week before. On the plus side, customer service is good.

We had planned to go to Digbeth famous street food venue. It was only just before 7 but when we got there it was packed, so decided to leave and find somewhere else. We had actually manzils on the way, so we walked back.It was fairly quiet when we got there, but very quickly started to fill. The food was excellent, my naga chicken hit the spot......Definitely one to try again .. good things sometimes come in unassuming places....

El excelente servicio, los precios ligeramente por encima del promedio, la comida ligeramente por debajo del promedio no fue terrible, pero esperaba más de todas las cosas positivas que había escuchado sobre el lugar. Personalmente sentí que había mejorado por el mismo precio o menos en otro lugar. Sin embargo, es una buena ubicación para salir de noche.

Nice meal. Friendly service. The somosas were large and meaty, the rice was properly cooked and not sticky, the lamb was a bit on the sweet side, sag paneer had plenty of paneer cheese.

Visited here nearly every month in 2019 whilst in Birmingham for work. Warm, friendly service and top quality (spicy) curry. Has been open since 1966, so they know how to serve a decent curry. Highly recommended.

Simple as that. We had butter chicken and tikka masala and they were both unreal, couldn't choose between them. Two of the best curries I've ever had!! Cheese naan was also unreal. Staff very pleasant. Just go there!

We visited Manzils after going to a gig. We went in before to book and asked if 23:00 was ok for four people. They said it was fine. After the gig we went in and they had remembered (great start). We sat and had a beer and they gave us enough time to choose for our orders. When the food came it was amazing. Starters and main course were delicious for all of us. The staff we fab and the place was clean and tidy. Toilets were also clean and tidy. The bill came to £80ish for four people with beers. I couldn't fault anything here.

The Manzil has been providing excellent curry sustenance for decades. Always friendly. Regularly very spicy. Great for nights out in Digbeth.

La comida estaba bien, keema phall tenía un toque de especias sin ser abrumador y peshwari nan lo suficientemente dulce como para ser un excelente contrapunto. Servicio amable y servicial. Una buena casa de curry tradicional a unos 5 minutos a pie de la plaza de toros.

Stumbled in here whilst waiting for a train. Everyone’s curry was delicious, maybe the best I’ve had in a long time. We all had a few beers and a decent amount of food, bill came to about £85 for 4 which was more than reasonable.

The Chicken Jalfrezi Balti was absolutely fantastic. I have eaten so many curry’s over the years and this was the one of the best.

Always pop in Manzils for a decent meal. Food absolutely delicious and amazing service. Got bar too so none of that drudgery of going to find somewhere to buy alcohol. Top service too🧐
