Not putting a label on the place, but in my opinion this is the best takeaway in the St. Helens, Ormskirk, Southport area and many combined. Great menu and skilled chefs, we don't order butter chicken and Tikka massala, we order the unusual dishes, that's why we know this place is great.

The rice container was filled full of broken rice with only a thin layer of whole grain on top to make it seem good quality. Keema naan only had any keema in about 1/3 of the whole thing. Lids not on curry containers correctly so curry spilled out when taking containers out the bag. However, very quick and happy service. Shame about the quality which is usually very good.

Hands down the best place for Indian takeaway within/near Ormskirk. I grew up in the Midlands and this is the closest I can find to match the quality there. Wish northwest places didn't charge for poppadoms though

I have tried curries from over 40 places from around me in Bickerstaffe and this place rates as high as any. We hadn't been for a year or so until 3 weeks ago, in 3 weeks we have had 3 really top level meals, very tasty and not greasy at all. It really has improved to be a rare 5 star Indian within 20 miles of Bickerstaffe.

I went there first time 28/4/24 on sons recommendation. I live 30 mins away in Southport and nothing here is as good. I had the jalfraizi and organ josh, daughter had korma and son got the piri piri chicken. The only places that compared to this are the al amin in aintree when it was in its hay day and a passage to India on bold street. The flavours are full and varied not just a blast of spice lime a lot of places. These people know how to cook good food. Thank you to my new goto takeaway.

One of the best indian takeaways and great service. We always order from them when we get takeaway, I have tried many indian takeaways in the past from Liverpool and from Aintree and even takeaways from restaurants and I can say with confidence that they make the best quality indian food even from restaurants. I definitely recommend this place to everyone wanting to try Indian Cuisine or is an Indian food lover such as myself. Best in Merseyside. Thank you guys!!! ;)

Ordered a meal from Anukha earlier. Wow, it was delicious , starters, main, sides could not fault anything, been there for a takeaway many times and never been disappointed, .Nice change after Christmas food. I definitely will go again.

Our go-to Indian takeaway for the past 6 years ,after moving to Ormskirk and thoroughly trying every Indian outlet in the surrounding area. It may be takeaway, but the food is always restaurant quality, and better than a number of Indian restaurants I’ve eaten in over the years. Fabulous menu, great food, friendly and courteous staff. The only downside is they don’t have a delivery service, which these days with so many people choosing to have drinks evenings at home, and many folk expecting and enjoying a food delivery (read lazy), is a big let down. And those potential customers are getting that service elsewhere. I can only think the owner ( if you are reading this) is missing the opportunity of making a lot more money. Please consider! Get delivery!

Always lovely meals, first class

Really easy to order once you've registered on their website. Pick your collection time and it's so convenient. The food is amazing. Large servings, full of authentic flavours and I'll stick my neck out and say its the best Indian takeaway I've ever had. Make sure to order plenty as well, because the next day it just gets better!

Fantastic takeaway. All of the curries we bordered were delicious and had very different flavours. I'd especially recommend the South Indian Murgih Balti - it was incredible!

Excellent Takeaway, best I’ve been to in years. I normally have Pathia but was recommended the Blussi, wow, very good. The meat is freshly cooked. It’s busy so no need to say anymore, with chefs constantly on the go. Service is excellent. Give it a try

They won’t give me my food I have been waiting for ten hours and I’m so mad I want you to stop and reply back Also my tooth hurts and I’m not sure what I’m supposed be getting from my teeth doctor when I said that to a staff member they handed me a packet of mints and said you smell of rabbit pee and fish juice fire them and I mean set them on fire

The service is terrible. Rang them with our order (had family staying over and wanted to impress with local take-away). They told us it would be 45 mins (no problem we arranged drinks/plates/pick-up around it). Immediately on entering the take-away they confirmed our order and took the payment. I Sat waiting for nearly half an hour before I could hear the chefs talking about my order! Then they started cooking it, no wonder they are so keen to take your money on entering the shop, they don't want you to leave. TELL THE TRUTH NEXT TIME REGARDING THE TIME TELEPHONE ORDERS WILL BE READY. I'll try elsewhere, maybee you should.

Great takeaway…..food is always top notch for the price. Only thing I would say is they could spice the heat up in some of the curries but that’s just my preference. What you get for the price is a crazy amount of food. Very clean and well presented. Lucky to have it on our doorstep

Got a takeaway from here when our regular one was shut. Firstly it was a lot cheaper than our usual which seemed good. They don't do delivery so I had to collect. They told me a time but I had to wait another ten minutes whilst they finished cooking it, but at least it was fresh. On eating the meal which was supposedly fiery and spicy I felt a bit let down. For a start the massive portion was bulked out with huge chucks of onion but the meat was tender and tasty. I just felt it was a bit bland, tasted a bit 'floury'and was not what I wanted. My wife said hers very generous but again bulked out with spinach. Great value but food let them down quite a bit.

Food is great. Waiting is atrocious Ordered online 630 90 minutes wait ... arrived at 815 food was ready at 930.. please eat expectations. If its going to be 3 hrs say 3 hrs not 90 minutes...... JOKE

My 1st visit on Friday evening. A really busy place & now I know why.. A fabulous little takeaway serving "restaurant quality' food with generous servings. A jewel in ormskirk's Crown. I will not go anywhere else.

Had a meal from Anuka tonight, we ordered Chicken tikka dopiaza & pilaf rice also chicken tikka biriani , both were absolutely delicious. Order on line and get 5% discount as well, definitely recommend Anuka.

First time I’ve ordered from here and was delighted with the whole experience. Friendly, food was delicious. I had chicken tikka Balti with pilau rice, a plain nan and poppadoms with all the fixings. Highly recommended.

Best in Ormskirk, just wish they delivered

Experience 1 A Friday in December and I ordered a meal online. Turned up at the appointed time and the food was ready. It was very good so we decided to try it again on New Year's Eve. Experience 2 The online experience was consistent but the "Real life" was not. As it drive up to the row of shops where Anukha is situated I see cars either side of the main road and a crowd outside the shop - about 20-30 people. There are two queues - one waiting for meals and another simply to pay. After about 5 minutes discussion with others in the queue I gave up and went elsewhere. Anukha, you serve good food but you need to throttle your ordering system. Not good enough.

Never been here so thought we would give it a go for christmas eve. Ordered online and went to pick up. Chefs busy cooking away and 3 friendly men on front counter to greet customers. Wad a bit disappointed my order was not was ready on time but it was only a few mins late in the end. Was also given a wrapped gift which was a sweet gesture. The food was fab (esepcially the aloo gobi and lamb samba) and I will definetly revisit.

Ordered a takeaway for 5.30pm on the app, which tells you it will notify you when ready for collection. 5.45pm nothing. No app update and no email update. Phoned up, eventually got through to be told it had been ready for ages. Went to collect and it's like bumper cars trying to find a space. Cars are everywhere - no chance in the car park or on the road, some even on yellow lines round the corner. Eventually got a space and joined a very long stationary queue of about 20 people outside waiting to pick up orders. Checked phone - still no notification that my order was ready. Queue never moved, abandoned hope and went home.

Such a shame ...order on a Saturday at your peril ...it was absolute chaos ..long queue outside with no organised system going on ...ordered online and collection was @ 6.00 and I got my food at 6.55. They have got way too greedy taking orders and letting people down, and then when home one meal was missing so had to ring up and request a refund for it only to be told we can’t do that we’ll have to owe you a free meal next time ....’next time’ will probably never happen again..!!

This place never disappoints. We travel 20minutes for our Indian takeaway as nowhere else has ever come close. The spices are on another level and the taste is second to none. Absolutely beautiful flavours thankyou so much for yet again providing an exquisite meal for us we will be back again as always xxx

very busy at 8pm, had ro wait 20 minutes beyond allocated collection time. No big deal. Except the feed is rubbish. Lamb Nepal was terrrible. mean tot be tender lamb, but it was Lamb Tikka which was chewy. I think th must have rn out of lamb. Anyway maybe use it when its not busy. I wont be going back. Once bitten.

Had a takeaway from here last night. My folks live in Skem and the takeaway in Skem is absolutely awful! Someone could make a killing there if they could be bothered setting something decent up!!! Anyway, travelling out to Anukha is definitely worth it (only 10-15 mins up the road). The food is cooked in front of you, the food travelled really well and it was a great takeaway. The Chicken Tikka Madras was spot on!!!

Fab food. Great service. Best around. Just wish the odd complimentary poppadoms and dip would be included sometimes as most Indian takeaways do. We travel quite a distance but the food is well worth it. Hope the current virus situation doesn't mean that they have to close as we will really miss it... this is our weekend treat

Have had many many good meals from this takeaway over the years,but tonight's was totally disappointing. My wife and i ordered two different meals, the starters,nams and rice etc where excellent as always. Both main courses had no flavour to them tasted like eating cardboard.Put it in the bin,very very disappointed!

Good authentic meal, missing salad & nan bread was cold! Fresh poppadoms! Onion bhaji crispy, just right! Balti exotica perfect!!!

Anushka is the best Indian food around plus great value

Very disappointed. Had lovely meals here .but this time 1 hr 20 mins wait after being told 35 mins on phone got all the way home ( 10 mins ) and the order wasn't even right.

I've eaten a lot of Indian takeaways in my time on this earth, and this is easily one of the best. Phone in your order and expect a wait - however they are always open and transparent about that - as it's very popular. That's because its so good!
