We popped in for a drink and some dinner. I had "Diavola Vibes", which is like a pepperoni-style pizza using a homemade tomato and basil sauce they call "sugo". My partner had a pizza made with meatballs. Both were delicious. The service from all staff was fast and friendly. Recommended.

A simple Italian menu, good friendly service, freshly made food by the chefs you pass in the open kitchen on entering the restaurant.

What a great place. The interior was stunning, but we chose outside seating because it was very noisy inside. Worked well, the weather was warm. Staff nice! The pizza was delicious!! Visited twice, and I'd come again!

The pasta was flavourful and fresh - I had the orecchiette and my friends had the crab linguine. It was all beautifully presented, and the desserts were delicious also - I would particularly recommend the tiramisu! The service was attentive and the restaurant felt welcoming and fun.

The noise from the music was awful - far too loud for those of us with hearing problems (3 of us in group) and detracted from having a reasonable evening. Food fair to middling but my spaghetti had been put in an oven and was not cooked freshly. Portions were fine but the food overpriced for what it was - simple and limited menu. Wine heavily overpriced for the basic stuff it was. A bit like going into a family chain restaurant- disappointing - but the service was quick and friendly. We felt under pressure as the staff started clearing plates etc before we’d all finished. Best dish was the pizza but that’s the only reason I’d go back. Considering my flat is less than half a mile away it will be a big ask before I return unless they turn that music down!

Had a really good meal here - menu has some slightly unusual variations on pizza/pasta. Excellent pizza with meatballs, crab linguine, then ice cream. Friendly efficient service too. Partner loved the music, me not quite so much but nice atmosphere, slightly quirky salmon pink decor.

It was very nice food and service very good. The Portuguese girl was very attentive and recommended us wine and food. Arab uni very tasty and the ink pasta incredible!! I’d highly recommend this place and I’ll definitely come back!! Thank you!!

So good! Food was delicious, atmosphere was lovely and we were well looked after. Could have easily stayed there all evening ordering more food with drinks, just a lovely place to enjoy great food and company.

Such delicious pizza , blueberry smash cocktail was unreal and the tiramisu was hands down the best I’ve ever had .. literally no words for how great it was! Lovely staff too will be back thank you

As the saying goes “if there’s nothing wrong don’t fix it” I use to be a customer of La favorita from the beginning, I’ve had yet to try Antonietta… well I tried it, and I’m not sold, the food was good although choices were limited compared to the old La favourita, the service lacked of attention the music was so loud we almost had to scream to hear what we were saying, all in all a bit disappointed by the experience. I’m not saying I won’t be back, however I won’t rush back.

Antonietta is a really lovely place. The food was delicious and the staff friendly and very professional. I greatly enjoyed their Italian dishes and I will definitely return with my Italian family when they come to visit me in Edinburgh.

It was a sunny afternoon and I fancied a cold beer and a bite. Was just me and my dog. We sat outside to enjoy the weather. I had been renovating my new flat all day and was dusty and tired. It was very quiet so expected service to be swift. But it was so slow it put me in a bad mood. Was it because I was on my own? Well, a lone man sat one table away from me. He had impeccable service. “How was everything sir?” He was asked. As a woman on her own I had to keep waving the server down. Needless to say, he didn’t get a tip and I won’t be back.

What an amazing Italian restaurant! The place is very cozy, the staff was super nice and the pizza's and dessert were the best. Not often do you get such good pizza's outside of Italy, so I would definetly visit this place.

Went with friend for a dinner. We have been served without waiting by friendly and attentive staff member. Great food and relaxing atmosphere made our evening really nice.

Lovely welcome and service quick. My pasta wasn’t as tasty as expected so when waitress came shortly after serving I said this. She asked if I wanted extra Gorgonzola as a topping or a completely new pasta or to change my choice. I chose a veggie pizza something I find too filling so left lots of dough but felt the staff were so understanding and didn’t make me feel uncomfortable at all. Would recommend and come again

We arrived starving after walking up and down Leith walk looking for a child friendly menu. We are so happy that we stumbled across "Antonietta". The homemade pizza tasted so good and the calamari was incredible!

So this was a great location and staff were fantastic food was however not to my liking. I feel like they went specialist but it's not really worked!!

I’ve eaten here a few times now, both before and after their revamp and am glad the quality of the food has not gone downhill as the colour and flair of the interior went up. The decor is bright and exciting, staff are very cheerful and the food is good. Gluten free pizza bases are offered and a cocktail menu beside pasta dishes. I preferred the pizza to the pasta and have only dropped stars as a few items were mixed up and the zucchini fries were really too skinny, so it felt more like batter than fries. Pizza was great, would love to see some specials or a larger selection of toppings in future, there were some great vegetarian & vegan choices.

My wife and I had dinner here last Wednesday before the football. The food was fantastic, I had a pasta dish and my wife had a pizza with fries to share. Probably the best Italian food I'd ever eaten. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable in a relaxed setting. My only grievance would be a service charge of 10%. So the more money you spend on food the more it costs to get it served. We would have left a tip anyway. We will back another time.

Really wanted to like this place but just didn't. The decor is fun and staff were nice but sadly it wasn't a great experience. You only get the table for an hour and a half and they really rush you. We barley had the menu before they wanted to take our order and they take dishes away constantly even when your not finished! Felt like we under constant surveillance. My daughters pizza looked nice but pasta dishes were bland 😞 Desserts were nice though, my husband had tiramisu and daughter had a fruit and sorbet tart she thought was lovely. Cocktails definitely over priced for what you get. I personally don't agree with dogs being in a restaurant and there were three tables with dogs during our brief visit but that is a personal preference. I get the impression it's a fairly new restaurant so hope they get better with age 😉

My sister and I came here for a meal and we had the best food! The portions were great, big and good quality. ( I had to take my parmigiana home it was so much! And even my sister struggled to finish her cotoletta alla milanese but couldn’t stop eating it because so good) The staff were all lovely. Great atmosphere. We are italian and we really appreciated all the choices on the menu, (vitello tonnato??!!mozzarella in carrozza??!! 🤤 ) just can’t wait to go again and try pizza and everything else 😂

A nice place to eat, interesting twists to the traditional Italian restaurant menu, and mostly very tasty. Staff friendly and attentive, coped well with a 3 year old and a 10 month old. Would certainly go back.

This was our first night in the area and it didn't disappoint. This restaurant has used imagination and come up with a formula that really works: an individual twist on familiar ingredients with some unfamiliar ones thrown in, creating flavour combinations that really work and show a true understanding of the palette. The service was excellent and the little touches such as the hand painted crockery and the decor make for a refreshing experience in this world of ubiquitous chain restaurants.

Was here in a group of 9. Food was lovely. Very small menu but lots of veggie choices. Staff were very friendly. Sounds strange, but the plates and other dishes are colourful and irregular, which I really liked. My only gripe is that the tables are quite small, I was at a join of two tables and had to sit squint or way back from the table because there was nowhere for my one of my knees. I think the layout was to keep another table by the window available for others but it made our group and especially the two seats at the table joins quite uncomfortable. If you are not at a table join though it would be very comfy.

We got pasta and pizza. Prices are reasonable and portions sizeable. The food was very well done, and the pizza especially was delicious

Spur of the moment decision to go here but one that worked out well. Friendly staff good atmosphere and pizzas with unusual toppings. One was Gluten free and was rated as very good. Puddings were delicious. Interesting range of cocktails.

Really lovely eatery. We were spur of the moment booking after a few birthday cocktails and were in dire need of a substantial bite to eat in a comfortable environment. We were not disappointed. The staff were really friendly and the decor is gorgeous. The food was effing delicious and I had the BEST tiramisu I have ever tasted.

Best Pizza place in Edinburgh. You can taste the quality on the ingredients. Food is delicious, tasty and pizza flavoura very well created. Service is excelent. Had a great time 100% recomend this place for italian food.

A disappointing dinner. Pasta was mixed with some dry greens that just did not work with the texture of the dish. Pizza was ok(ish) and focaccia was the size of a house. We tried it. Wasn’t for us. Service was good.

My friend and I came across this place after a long walk. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The menu wasn’t your traditional Italian it was a bit more unique with many appealing options. We chose to share a bread and followed up with BEEF & NDUJA MAFALDINE which was super tasty. Everything from the food, cocktails, decor, the music, the crockery and the staff were just perfect. Prices were reasonable too. I’ll definitely be back here with my family.

I used to come before it changed hands/menu, the food was much better before and the portion sizes are too small for the price and quality. The crab linguine wasn't worth the £14. The service was good however the server did not mention the optional service charge. This should always be mentioned when the bill is dropped on the table and then again when payment is taken. Basically servers don't mention the discretionary charge in the hope that a cash tip is left, literally stealing money from people. Please tell your staff to mention the service charge when dropping the bill. I worked in hospitality for seventeen years and it's simply courtesy. The customer can decide to leave a cash tip on top of the service if they choose to pay it. It soured my whole experience and unfortunately won't be going back.

Its Instagram-friendly and not too expensive made ideally for the younger crowd. It seats up to 140 guests and serves up fun Italian cuisine. Food is served on hand painted plates from Amalfi and include inventive pizza toppings, large bowls of steaming pasta and some lovely smaller Italian bites. Their cocktails are spot on! Worth a visit or two.

Fabulous authentic Italian pizza. I enjoyed a delicious Make it Pop pizza - with cream of roasted tomatoes, charred broccolini, mixed peppers, & fried purple potatoes. This is NOT your run-of-the-mill Italian!! Incredibly flavoursome - distinctly different! With a really moreish warming red wine - NERO D'AVOLA IGT Terre Siciliane, Molino a Vento. Great menu! Really modern twist on Italian food. Loads of interesting things on the menu which made it hard to pick from. Very reasonable prices as well. Pizzas were delicious- really crispy base. Had the charred lettuce with crispy chillis and parmesan as a side which was so good. Friendly, quick service too. Def worth a visit! We will be back.

Visited Antonietta for lunch on Saturday and we had a great experience. We had the calamari and the mozzarella fried in pastry as a starter. Both were delicious but the aioli with the calamari was so good! For mains we had the lasagne pizza, beef carpaccio pizza and the gnocchi. All three mains were delicious! The service was super fast and friendly and the prices were reasonable. Would definitely recommend going if you’’re in the market for a new Italian 😊

Had walked by this place a few times since opening and wondered if the interior would be too loud if I was eating here, but it was actually very pleasant. Staff were very knowledgeable about the food and extremely attentive. The food itself was very good. Pasta was cooked al dente and my beef and nduja had a bit of spice, as expected, that was soothed nicely with creamy ricotta. Good sized portion and lovely crockery. The focaccia was a bit disappointing as it was far too heavy, but would definitely revisit

The staff were very welcoming, friendly and attentive. Atmosphere/decor was refreshing. Food was fantastic! We had the Bruschetta, Gnocchi antonietta with Italian sausage, squid ink risotto with calamari and spinach (specials menu), truffle and parmesan fries and last but not least the strawberry crostata. Every dish was well balanced and cooked perfectly, would definitely recommend!

Delicious appetizers (loved the beef carpaccio and burrata) and pizzas. It’s lovely it’s dog friendly and they have tasty cocktails too. The only thing I didn’t love was the crab linguine which was disappointing, but overall a nice night out and the 50% off food discount is fantastic for January when booked ahead

Visited this new place on Sunday the 15th. Dropped in on a whim and was quickly seated. There was only 2 of us, and although we only ordered a single pizza between us and 2 drinks it was still relatively inexpensive. And the pizza was great. The decor is colourful and interesting, the staff were friendly, chatty and attentive. While eating we had already decided to go back again soon. 5/5 Very welcome addition to Leith.

Where to start? Well the carpaccio starter was superb. Then the main course- gnocci- was so different and so delicious. Thank you to everyone at Antoinetta for a wonderful evening.

For once we had a reservation but our table was not ready on time for us This situation was handled beautifully by the friendly staff who did their best to give us a good table. As we sat down, a glass of Prosecco was served...

Worst food I've had in a while! We were served pasta topped with what appeared to be the contents of a soup tin instead of sauce, coupled with a server that thinks he's too important to be working there and a migraine-inducing decor. I do not understand the positive reviews, must be their mates writing it? We found the food to be really bad and the service unpleasant. Do not recommend!!!

Hate to write while sitting in Funky Chicken (Spanish restaurant) most amazing and superb interior with excellent food. Since very first visit always was loyal fan of Lafavorita (deceased), so we had to revisit after relaunch and left with massive disappointment, pizzas are miles away from real Italy - no pun intended - , what happened? It was so good before, base, ingredients, variety with classic culture, taste never dissapointed always felt like you are in Naples.. Now - mozzarella wrapped in boring toast? WHY? Chasing trends? Instagramable interior approach - colour scheme so ott.. Don't ever do that, always stick to your roots..

I would say that the ambiance is good. Personally, I did not like the menu, specifically the pizzas, they do not look authentic. We had 2 pizzas, pasta and some starters --- not too bad but not too good (again, it is my personal opinion, the restaurant is quite alternative to a classic italian).

Wow, another great addition to the Vittoria family. We love these guys, food and hospitality are amazing. The food is excellent and so is the service. Not to mention the beautiful contemporary design and style of the restaurant. Antoniettas is just what Leith walk needs.

The place has a great atmosphere, but the food didn’t amaze me and my partner. The starters and dessert were good, although overpriced, but the pizzas were just not right. We went during the promotional week with the hope of finding a little gem, however...

I have been twice to Antonietta’s and food is delicious 10/10 as was the service! The interior is very authentic with a touch of quirkiness. If you’re looking for an Italian restaurant with a modern twist then this is the place to go! Don’t walk run!!!! 🏃‍♀️🍕🧆
