Can only agree with Angela053 comment. Poor quality fish. Greasy batter. Nondescript chips. Will not give the new owners another chance.

Have visited Ann’s fish bar on a regular basis for some time, quality was always outstanding however the business has recently changed hands and the quality has deteriorated to a very low standard. Soggy fish and stale chips! Please up your game or you will lose all your inherited customers.

I can't eat too much at the moment, but really fancied a fish & chip supper. Lady serving recommended the children's portion, which was just right and absolutely delicious. Excellent fish in a tasty batter with perfect chips, and all for less than a fiver. As good as I've had and marvellous value.

First time I've had fish and chips from Ann's Fish Bar and it was great. Wonderfully cheerful service with a smile. Chips were really good, haddock was delicious, batter fantastic, portions more than generous. All of us were very full and very content after our meal. Thank you.

Favourite fish and chips in Brackley! Lovely owners and always greeted politely with conversation. Great food with nice chips and fish, the boxes etc mean it’s always kept warm for when we get home. Wouldn’t go anywhere else:)

Very good food, no issues despite reading a few negative reviews here. I ordered large cod and small chips and it was £8:40, the food was cooked fresh and was piping hot when i got home to enjoy them with a beer after a hard day's fishing......and couldn't be bothered to cook!! Definitely worth a visit and I will continue you using them as my local chippy!

First of all its was nice to be great with a “Hello” Ordered a small chips and two small sausage. Best chips I’ve had for a long time, sausage were standard chip shop sausages. Good value meal.

Stopped for takeaway ordered Fish and chips and sausage and chips Food was delicious best takeaway chips we've had in a long time. Nice friendly service piping hot and freshly cooked.

As a student of the local area, I often potter down with my other hungry academics to get a taste of salt, anns fish bar was proud to provide a nutritional meal of chips and curry sauce. This never ceases to hit the spot.

I don’t live in Brackley anymore and was just visiting. Chips under cooked and had to take them back. They cooked them more, however they were still undercooked. Also they don’t take card in there. Not impressed.

Very tasty fish and chips at a good price. She will also serve a MINI (child's / oap) portion which is very substantial for our purses and stomachs.

Several of us were visiting my Dad who lives in Brackley. We ordered Fish and Chips for 5 plus Chicken and Mushroom pie and chips for one. The food was fresh and hot even after we walked back to Dads house with it it was very good, plenty of fish in a portion and more chips than we could eat, the sibling who ate the pie said it was delicious. The fish batter was crispy not oily at all. I have gotten into the habit of eating here every time I come for a visit and I have never been dissapointed

Freshly cooked, the fish is lovely and covered in crispy batter. The chips are a big portion and very good. Ann is usually there cooking it all herself.

I tried it for the first time a month ago and I was very impressed the fish was excellent the chips cooked to perfection, I will use this chippy whenever I can.

I really don’t like to leave bad reviews, but... it was early evening (half 5ish) and we ordered three portions of chips - they smelt amazing and they were hot. That’s about all I can say that is good. The chips were greasy and really soggy - going by everyone else’s reviews maybe it’s just us that like our chips with a bit of crunch...

I ended up in brackley when I was visiting Silverstone races for a couple of days, and had a scout about.

Amazing apple crumble!! especially from the fish and chippy!!!! It was absolutely scrumptious for my taste buds to devour.

I had a beautiful meal here, made all the better because I was very hungry.. I had a large cod and it was indeed really large and freshly cooked, as were the chips. It was really good value too. The place is also conveniently located across the road from a car park and near a bank if you need some cash to buy your chips. In fact, the entire high street in Brackley is packed with shops and places to eat and is also joined at both ends by the A43, so you don't even need a big detour to get here. I actually intended to go to the Seafood fish bar at the other end of the high street but that is only open for 1.5 hours at lunchtime and not at all on Mondays, hence why I went to Ann’s instead because they are open all day, and I'm pleased that I did.

Many of my friends and relatives have said it the best fish and chip shop in Brackley, but it had closed for a while, when I heard it had reopened I was looking forward to a good fish and chip meal, sadly I was disappointed, the food was barely warm and the fish was more batter than fish, there are far better chip shops around Brackley, not sure if this has changed owners but I can't imagine this is the same place that my friends and family all raved about before.

The chips here are extremely tasty. I come here at lunch time and dinner time and the quality is always the same even when its busy. I love the fishcakes and the curry sauce.

Anns has been in town, and family run for years. It's recently reopen with new fryers and what seems to be a whole new shop. Fish and chips as good as always. Freshly cooked to order.

Glad it's been closed down by the health authority! One of the worst chipies I have visited, mind u all the rest in Brackley are rubbishy as well!

Had Fish and Chips after meeting a friend for a beer - found the food hot and tasty and the prices fair. Nice little chippy

We had fish, sausage and a pie all with chips as a family take away and thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was friendly and quick, the food was lovely and hot, the fish was a little bit greasy but it did not put us off. I would definitely recommend Ann's and would visit again.

I have been going to Anns fish bar for a few years. I always like the cod they sell and the portions are very good. The shop is quite small so gets quite crowded during the busy periods. I have found on rare occasions the cooking oil could have been replaced a bit sooner but it hasn't taken away the experience of purchasing a meal here.

Always handy for a late evening tea. Cooked pretty much fresh, food always nice and Ann and her husband cheerful and friendly. Excellent value.

Ideally located off the main square. Service lacks somewhat, but the portions are a great size and the quality is good. Hapopy to keep going back!

Lovely chunky cod with nice crispy batter. A wonderful change from cookibg every night. Staff very professional even though it is fast food.Give them a try, you will not regret it.

We regularly call into Ann's for our Friday evening meal, some times you have a 10minute wait but it's worth it.Fish is always fresh and chunky.

Fantastic food. The best fish and chips in Brackley and the price is astonishing. Really yummy. Sometimes can feel the service is frosty especially if they are busy but the english girls are always good.
