Anna's Bar & Kitchen in Copeland

After a long drive a fantastic refuge from exhaustion and unpleasant weather. I loved the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The ladies were super friendly and helpful on a busy Sunday afternoon with a shortage of staff. The place was kept very nice and tidy. Cheerful and relaxing atmosphere. Impressive menu with some novelty.

Good choice of food at fair prices. Service was a bit slow though

We visited here yesterday. My husband had pulled pork and I had fish and chips. The food was excellent, very tasty, good portion sizes and the prices weren't OTT. The setting of the restaurant overlooking Whitehaven harbour is beautiful, a nice place to enjoy a drink is the terrace outside. The only negative about this was there were people smoking on the terrace. As it's private property, why not ban smoking on the terrace so everyone can enjoy their food and drink without someone spoiling it? But like I said, beautiful food, beautiful setting and efficient service.

Came to Anna's for the first time in a group of 15, staff were very accommodating and service was quick despite it being a busy Saturday night! the pizzas were lovely and great cocktails !

The place looks lovely and the staff are two. This place is let down by a very loud room that seems to echo and the food and cocktails being below the standard you would expect from the price tag. We did visit in the week so perhaps this changes on a busy day.

This is a brilliant place. Great views, amazing food ... Even the choice to have proper chips. The service was amazing too. Very friendly and helpful. All of this and great views of the harbour too.

Recommend the Greek Salad WITH Chicken (only £1 extra on the Greek Salad price) AND the chips, really really nice. Good range of sauces too, Guinness served chilled which isn't quite right but thankfully not as cold as some other places. Would I eat here again? DEFINITELY.

That was the most awful place ever. So noisy, we wait ages, dirty so awful service. Just disgusting.

Well worth a visit. One of the more modern eateries in Whitehaven. Burgers are great and service was good.

8.25£ for a Sainsbury’s dry waffle with chocolate and ice cream (which the ice cream was good) Service was good but I’m ratting here the food. Pizza was not completely cooked but okay flavour, nachos with chilli con carne, was more like nachos with beans con little carne but at least flavour was okay. I would give 3.5 stars but definitely not 4

Gorgeous food but it was difficult to hear the people I was sat at the table with as it was so loud but it's good to see it's busy.

Great tapas food and restaurant is in good location at the harbour front. Service could be improved; slow food arrival, we had to ask twice (!) for plates, and nobody cleared our table despite being plenty of staff walking past...

If there had been more vegetarian options available, would have been a five star for food.

Anna's is much better now it has expanded. Very popular for cocktails and nice food.

Very very nice. Especially tandoori chicken skewers and the salt and pepper fries and the garlic sauce that came with them. Mmmmmmm.

1hr waiting for the starter, calamari which was good. Burger was dry and lacking flavour, chips were bad, looked they had been sat in fat, onion rings were hard and over cooked.

Stayed over in Whitehaven for the weekend and decided to visit Anna’s twice after the amazing food the first time. If you like your burgers I would highly recommend because they’re up there with the best I’ve ever had!

Beautiful food, great atmosphere & friendly/professional staff. Decor is beautiful & I love that there is the main restaurant/cafe, function room & the outdoor seated area. Can highly recommend.

This place is amazing. I would definitely recommend the tapas. Me and my brother both had the tapas deal and we were soo full. Looking forward to coming back soon

Stopped here for a bite on our trip to Whitehaven. We were definitely at the older end of the age spectrum as guests go. However we were welcomed and fed well. The food was great and well presented. Minor whinge was that we were charged for extra condiments. I'd asked when the cutlery arrived for tomato and BBQ sauce plus salt, pepper and vinegar as there was none at the table. Only a sachet each of tomato sauce arrived with the meal so I popped back to the bar and asked for the requested BBQ sauce. It was only when we had paid and left that I spotted the additional charge for this.

We had fish and chips, BBQ wrap and Philly cheese wrap (see photos). All was fine. Service was very nice and polite. Food arrived quickly after order. We also had drinks, ping of beer, glass of wine and a pint of cranberry juice.

Came here for a little birthday treat amazing food and cocktails. Worth a visit if on the harbour and want a bite to eat. The vimto daiquiri is unreal!.

Wow brillant food and cocktails have a great time

We have been visiting Anna's for a few years now, every time we come up to Whitehaven. It is always friendly and the staff are great. However, it recently seems to have changed into an establishment dedicated mainly to the ladies. The decor is mostly pink and there is the odd, definitely female, feel about the place. Don't get me wrong, I think it is great but just be forewarned, it can get quite loud!

Our first time at Anna's and we decided to indulge. Cocktails to start then two three-plate tapas with the meal deal and plenty of wine. We had some chips on the side too. The drinks and food were absolutely delicious and just the right quantity. There was a little left over but not too much to consider a waste. The service was less good. We waited a long time to be served and seemed a little forgotten by staff at times. Nevertheless the staff were friendly and it has to be allowed that it was a busy Saturday night. Be aware this is a trendy place with plenty of young adults dressed to the nines. This means the music is a bit too loud and the atmosphere can get just a touch raucous. It's not a place for an intimate romantic meal. It is bang on if you're a party of several though - or just young! Price was a little high. Not much change out of £100 for a meal for two. We did splash out though. I would happily do it again for the tapas. Best I've had for a long while.

Visited here for my birthday on Feb 16th. Staff were nice, food was nice and the cocktails were lovely!

Beautiful food, great service and reasonable price. Table was booked for 2 hr block but we asked and were able to extend. Cocktails were beautiful too.

Called here 4 times, never have a table and never answer telephone to book a table!!!!

The small tapas sized meals are amazing, full of flavour and reasonably priced. The cocktails are very good as well. A friendly atmosphere with nice and helpful staff. Pick the right evening and the sunset over the harbour is lovely as well.

Great cocktails, some vegan options they do have vegan cheese for pizza if you ask.

Can be extremely busy. They cater for Parties of all sizes in a separate area. Meals look delicious.. I was there with 2 friends, we thoroughly enjoyed as all ages make it a comfortable place to be. Some unusual Beers/Lagers, Cocktails are served with very friendly staff too.... Quite a classy place indoors and an outside area for informal dress also dogs. IT OVER- LOOKS THE WHITEHAVEN HARBOUR WHICH MAKES ITS AN EVEN MORE SPECIAL OUTING..

Long wait for food customer service not the best accept for the the Asian guy very polite and friendly (he didn't serve us though). Food was ok . Waiter forgot couple of things had to ask again.

What a fabulous place to eat! Great menu with plenty of non-meat choices and everything very reasonably priced. The spicy veg pizza is the best I’ve ever had. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and couldn’t fault the cocktails! The young lady who served us was attentive, informative, friendly and made us feel very welcome. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending Anna’s and we will certainly go there again.

I came here last week with my mum and sister. The staff were so lovely and accommodating. The tapas were absolutely delicious, and great value too! I will definitely return.

Walked into this Cafe wanting a drink. Was approached by a staff member carrying drinks. I asked her if we could sit anywhere & she looked at us & completely ignored us. We then spoke to a different member of staff who was a lot more friendly, she told us that we could sit anywhere. We then took a seat. The previous staff member who had ignored us when we walked in then came back to us & told us that the table we had sat at was reserved for 12.15pm & we had to move. There was no Please or Thank You. We did not feel welcomed & felt like we weren’t wanted. After this we walked out & found a different cafe which turned out to be completely the opposite. So Thanks AnnA’s Cafe you did us a favour.

Mixed experiences here. Whilst the staff are lovely and some of the food is top notch, a lot of the food and most of the service is lacking. Orders are taken incorrectly, pat's of the menu are often unavailable (but you aren't told this until you go to order) and some of the food is overly salty. I'd suggest the menu could be reduced slightly, there's almost so much choice that a microwave must be involved and in that case, Wetherspoons is only down the road. Hot drinks are good with coffee from a local roaster and nice views over the marina.

Pulled pork sandwich and grilled halloumi sandwich with hand cut chips and salad - absolutely delicious! Only reason that 5 stars were not given - a little pricey.

Had to ask for the table and high chair to be cleaned, then waited for nearly an hour for mediocre food. Child's fish and chips swimming in oil waitress said it was because it was deep fried! A free drink or dessert was offered but we declined as we just wanted to leave. We should have been informed before we ordered that there was a delay on food. Not a good visit at all.

Lunch menu was well worth the price. Baguettes so filling. We had Hunters BBQ Chicken and Bacon Baguette with sweet potato fries and partner had bbq pulled pork with skinny fries. So full afterwards. BBQ sauce tasted homemade but not sure.

Ordered a Sunday lunch for the first time today for 3 of us. 2 large & one small. We should have ordered all small as the portions were bigger than expected. Stuffing is beautiful, the meat was a little fatty but tender and cooked well, the mash potatoes were lovely and the veg was cooked to our liking. Arrived in pizza boxes containing a foil tray, we ended up eating from the trays as the gravy was already on the meal, not an issue for us but some might like it separate so it can be plated up without risking spilling it everywhere. 4stars as delivery was later than expected and food was colder than I would normally like it, nothing a minute in the microwave couldn’t fix if you’re bothered about that. Pricing is about what you would pay if you went out to a pub and it’s really convenient offering delivery especially if you’ve had a few wines the evening before. I would just suggest you add a bit more time on the delivery estimate, an extra half hour perhaps? It would likely save people calling asking where the food is. Overall we enjoyed our lunch but next time would call down rather than order in

A mixed review... First impression was not great, with staff unsure of their job - almost to the point of being clueless. My first cup of coffee was dirty, and the milk jug I can confidently say had not been cleaned since in was purchased. There was a small wait for the food, however, worth it! Despite being no more than warm, they nailed it with this breakfast. Especially given the price point. Some infused oil on the mushrooms I'd guess with tasty meat and a pleasant kick from the avocado. Perfect portions to keep you going till tea time. Despite the lack of overall staff competence, I would likely revisit for breakfast.

Staff didn’t know what the table numbers where, lack of mask wearing from the staff, no menu was given to us after we asked for one and simply an overall lack of control and organisation.

No masks from any staff or customers, no signing in, no adherence to any covid regulations. Its just a free for all. Asked if it was table service (even though 7 people were stood at the bar) was told "table service just sit" (bit rude to be honest) the lad asked "you want owt"... We asked for drinks and was wanting food but the lad never came back with a menu. The table was sticky and there was no masks or even shields used on any area or counters. To clean the table one lad just sprayed the table while he walked past but failed to even wipe it.... Would never return here. Totally shocking.

Lovely food and nice atmosphere. The wraps have plenty of filling and taste great. If you don't want to sit outside then there are plenty of tables indoors. The sofa by the window is nice

Went to Annas for lunch. Staff young and quite clueless, polite. Ordered food 40 minutes later arrived. Kids meatballs burnt, the child is only 3 and said I’m not eating the burnt bits. Zerk wrap. Chicken burnt. Won’t be back for food.

Enjoyed our 2 hours. We wern't informed the table was for 2 hours only. We were shunted outside in the cold to make way for a table of 3 people we were a party of 5 wanting food and to stay all night. Anna's loss. Candlesticks gain Happy days.

Totally disappointed with the new owners of Anna's, not all the menus on the table, asked for martinis but were told they didn't have the ingredients but 15 minutes later we saw a martini being served to another table. The staff were inexperienced but management was completely lacking. Reminded me of a kebab shop at 2am. Food was lovely when it came but didn't come as described in the menu. Hopefully they are just teething problems since opening after lockdown.

Food and drink good, best view on the marina . Service has improved with new ownership.

Ordered a takeaway was awful, very average pizza, chips and sweet potato fries were extremely soggy. Fish was dry and tasteless, my garlic mayo had curdled/split. I HAD LEFT A SIMILAR REVIEW ON FOODHUB AND THEY HAD IT REMOVED!! Waste of £37.

Food and cocktails are good, if a little overpriced, but had a very unfortunate experience with a booking for a baby shower that wasn't upheld, and we had to wait until other people left and grab our own table. In the end we left and went elsewhere
