I have been a few times now, both to take away and to sit in. By far the best Indian I have had in Warrington. Update - food was tasty, however, we have ended up with an unwell household after it! Hopefully one off.

Was recommended by a friend who comes here often, was sat down drinks order was taken after 10 minutes of studying the menu then waited a further 35 minutes with still no drinks arriving, noticing people arriving after us and getting there drinks served right away with no wait, we had them get are food for takeaway as we had enough, the takeaway side seem to had priority over people sitting down eating, very poor experience and service, was hoping the food would make up for the wait but was quite bland and was very tasteless would not be visiting here again.

Tried this place because it was recommended to me but I'll never go back service was poor ordered pakoras 4 skinny pakoras came on a big plate more batter than chicken jalfrezi wasn't bad but it was a mild one rice was stuck together but it wasn't pilau more like saffron

This place is fantastic. I've tried chicken madras from every Indian in Warrington and Surrounding areas and this place has the best by far. My son loves it too. They accommodate my wife's vegan tastes and don't leave you waiting fir ages. They keep the drinks topped up without you having to attract their attention. They don't try and intimidate you into tipping like most places do, with the " Would you like to leave a tip" on the card machine, whilst a waiter stares at you. My tip is my return custom. Try it you will love it, there's a bit of parking right outside the door if your lucky and a car park in the rear is one of the many side streets is fine.

Came here on Saturday night with my wife after reading good reviews on tripadvisor.Glad we did as well,the food and service in this place are superb,delicious freshly cooked dishes and great surroundings.Very reasonably priced here actually cannot wait to come back !

*EDIT after a previous 5 star review a couple of yeras ago** The quality of food has gone downhill massively from what was once the best of the best. We've been ordering regularly for 2 years or so now, and it's clear that they have a new chef or are compromising on quality to save money. Lamb is now tough every time I order it, the korma and madras used to have a real depth of flavour but not anymore, and both curry sauces have gone quite watery too. Onion bhajis used to be crisp and are now consistently soggy. We said a few times we wouldn't order again from Anmol but kept giving them more chances because it was previously so good for so long. Such a shame, farewell Anmol, please return back to the quality you used to offer and we will be back. First time ordering, was amongst the best curries we've ever had. The depth of flavour of both the Madras and Korma was unbelievable. Truly authentic, we'll definitely be ordering again

Awesome place! Been going for ages and found the staff welcoming and can’t do enough for you. Have also used the take away service which is the same great food quality as sitting in the restaurant. We have took many people to this restaurant who enjoyed it and now go themselves. Can’t recommend enough. Gets busy at certain times so recommend booking but easily done online.

Hi I have visited this place yesterday, it was very warm and cozy ambience which makes you feel like you're at the right restaurant, but you would feel wrong immediately after looking (not eating) at the dishes on your table (by looking it would be easy to guess what we're going to experience). The food was unauthentic and also not at all tasty, I appreciate the staff helping me in switching with a better suggestion (which was even worse) without any extra expense (Thank God!). IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A GOOD INDIAN FOOD PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE (Honest Review based on my personal Experience, rest is your choice) My * * was also goes to Ambience and Staff. GOOD LUCK .

‘Wandering Wednesday’ this week took Hubby Neil, Son Max, his gorgeous girlfriend Rhi and myself to: Anmol Indian restaurant in Penketh, Warrington……. Starters: Max and Rhi both had Chicken Chat Neil and myself had king prawn puri. Entrée’s: Rhi had chicken tikka butter chicken….. Pilau rice Max had chicken tikka masala…. Pilau rice Neil had chicken tikka korma (surprised as he normally goes for something with much more spice but had a very pleasant change!)….accompanied with Anmol special rice, with prawns and vegetables…. I had chicken tikka shahee, which is chicken tikka with minced lamb in a rich thick sauce…..also with Anmol rice. 2 x peshwari naans to share. (Plus a Chocolate disc mint crisp!!) We all said our dishes were beautiful and would definitely have them again….. We booked a table for 6pm and glad we did, many tables were covered in no time at all…… now we know why! The food was top notch and we’ll definitely be going back…. Service was faultless with no delays. Great night had by all and with full tummies!!…..xxx❤️

I had a takeout and wish I hadn't bothered Chicken Tikka - Chicken was tough Chicken Chaat - Again the chicken was tough Samosas were ok, but nothing to shout about Main Course Chicken Tikka Shahi was tasteless and once again was tough!!! Also half the size of the container, very small serving Keema rice was nice, Garlic Naan awful!! Cost me £40.50 total waste of money, never again!!

Last went about 6 years ago and wasn't impressed. The food and service tonight was better than any Indian restaurant in Warrington will go again next time i want a curry (soon ) 😋

Service took 70 mins from original order taken, other groups served before us. Food all came at different times , food was Luke warm and nann arrived after most of meals were near finished. Quality of food was poor sauces bland , keema rice greasy in oil Desi steak stir fry was actually pretty good. £300 spent tonight won’t be returning again.

We were a large party but service was rather slow seeing as there weren't many other people in when we all arrived. But the food was excellent and every one enjoyed their meal. Will definitely be back.

Great night at the Elvis tribute night, they served a table of 14 of us and did absolutely brilliantly!! Will be coming back for Michael Jackson night in November!

Always a fabulous meal at Anmol. We regularly visit with the kids and always have a great time. All the waiters are friendly and attentive.

Had a dinner today with my family… good food, good atmosphere, excellent and prompt service. All the staffs including the manager are very courteous and friendly, lovely conversation and felt home. Recommended.

One of the greatest Indians to eat local to me, my family have been coming since the doors opened, I Highley suggest going in the atmosphere is great staff are amazing and food well that will speak for itself but if you do not have time then takeaway is perfect aswell :)

Waiters were very awkward, Ordered two pints of coke they came warm and with barely any ice, we asked for more ice 3 times, food would of been better if it was warmer not lukewarm, 1hour wait for the dishes to be brought to the table… When we went to pay the bill and they tried to overcharged us £7.50 for two drinks we never had. Wouldn’t recommend.

No stars for service as Takeaway service is absolutely appalling! Told a 20 minute wait on ordering, was told a few minutes twice which turned to 1hr 10 minutes; got home and ate starters to them find no sauce had been included, it’s a joke and seems to me they are prioritising ‘just eat’ orders - shame as they used to be good but definitely won’t be going again

Whenever we order an Indian now Anmol is the place we go to, so much range in the food and it is absolutely gorgeous, never have any issues with delivery and drivers are always friendly. Food is always hot when it arrives. Would highly recommend.

Placed an order from widnes for pick up got it home, no naan bread, chicken was rubbery, rice all clumped together. Then, I had a missed call from them saying you haven't got your naan bread. Are you picking it up? No, I'm home now, food eaten, next time you order we give you. No thanks, and I won't be ordering again.

Food delicious and plates and food were hot when arrived. Service for drinks was a bit slow upon arrival but food service improved Place is lovely unfortunate it was a bit quiet but it was earlyish on a Friday. Value good too. Will definitely go again.

Been before twice, and ordered takeaway. Tonight very disappointed. Drinks took a while to come, long time before taking our order buffett. Staff ok, but presume manager in different uniform quite direct and rude, rushed us for main meal before getting our starters, then after main meal said can i clear table. Obviously dont want you in long when having buffett. Didnt get much anyway, we were only in for an hour, so they didnt need to worry. He ruined experience never had anyone say that before, cant get over it put hand wipes on table, we were going to have coffee their loss. Not a buffett!

I went to Anmal restaurant today. Their food is amazing and healthy. The staff is very welcoming

first time here and i have to say the food was very nice sunday buffet all u can eat but a 35 minute wait after the starters for the mains, we had 3 adults and asked for nuggets and chips for the 4 year old grandson charged us £9 for nuggets and chips which i think is a disgrace then charged £10 for popadoms and dips but it supposed to be all u can eat £3.50 for a little ice cream the only meat you could have was chicken , no beef pork lamb or prawns i was scared to go the toilet incase they charged for that then some of the food we ordered didnt arrive , not for me im afraid never again

As always the food is of the highest quality. I really don’t understand some of these low reviews. We have tried so many Indian restaurants and this is by far the best of the best. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. The food is always cooked fresh and to top it all of the beer is good. Thanks to all for our food. Dave and Kay

Our first takeaway from here, six of us had different dishes and we all loved our choices.

Third time we've been here and it will be the last sadly. Service is very poor, had to ask to order drinks which took 15 mins to arrive and it wasn't busy and then had to ask if we could have our food order taken! Been 3 times and the last 2 have been shockingly bad. One star from the party of 4.

Not authentic Indian food. The chicken starters was as dry as Ghandi's flip flop. The mains taste like pataks curry jar, and the naans were sweet. The poppadoms were the best part.

Lovely attentive staff do anything for you,lovely owner spoke to me for quite some time about our passion for Indian food,we had the Sunday buffet it was all delicious fresh hot made to order ,the only downfall was the time we was waiting with inpatient children nearly 3 hours for us to eat our entire meal ,would defo return just maybe without the kids lol

Food was the usual excellent fare, but the staff would have struggled to find employment at Faulty Towers after the main man left.

Whenever I am in Warrington (as I am not local) I will always come here for an Indian. The food and service is impeccable! I am fussy with Indian food but this is the only place I will go to. Would 100% reccomend

Very nice. All you can eat buffet style menu. Nice small portions so you can sample different dishes. Great prices. Only there for a flying visit so only sampled a few things. Would go again if I'm in the area

Lovely place. Plenty of friendly staff. Quick with the service. Really tasty food. Sunday eat as much as you want. With slightly smaller portions. So you can order a bit more than usual and no waist. 👍

On the rare occasion we have no kids to look after Me and my wife went to Anmol on the recommendation of good friends, we were not disappointed at all! We were greeted at Anmol with a very warm welcome, and had drinks immediately upon arrival as I ordered directly at the bar, we were seated straight after in a nice little booth with very comfy bench seats. After chatting to a very nice man called Muhammad Ali for a few minutes he quickly ascertained I was originally from Birmingham and that I had high expectations when it comes to Indian food…us Brummy’s do not mess about when it comes to Curry. (We want good curry and only good curry) My wife noticed the Reshmi Kebab on the menu so we asked if he could go one step further make us a Nargis Kebab (basically a boiled egg wrapped in keema, with a thin omelet served on top) as it is a very common local starter in the West Midlands, (we simply cannot get them up North!) firstly I was amazed he actually knew what it was , most places ain’t got a clue ! Muhammad said if we didn’t mind waiting a few minutes more he’d make us 2 himself as the chefs up north are not really up on this dish and it’s generally too time consuming for a starter. (I do understand that fully if it’s not something they are commonly asked for) As promised Muhammad Ali made us 2 of the freshest, finest Nargis kebabs I’d ever tasted, absolutely delicious with mint sauce! We went on to have 2 fantastic main dishes with absolutely beautifully light fluffy and crispy garlic naan breads with nicely seasoned garlic fried rice. I found out that Muhammad Ali actually owned the restaurant and was formerly a chef himself, and he’d really gone out his way today to give us exceptional customer service. Muhammed Ali is a credit to his business and and the food served here is absolute delicious. The other staff were equally as attentive and polite, clearly this friendly, polite and respectful customer service has been instilled from the top down. I shall be recommending Anmol to friends and family and we will definitely be back for more of this lovely food. (Hopefully he’ll have time to make us another Nargis kebab if we don’t go when it’s too busy :) Massive thanks for making our date night night brilliant. 10/10

Been twice in 4 months, very hit and miss tbh. Not my first choice, booked by a colleague.

Food was very, staff very friendly and attentive. Cannot fault!

1. Poor service, so-so food. 2. We went 16 people for (the buffet) night on Sunday , which is not an actually traditional self served buffet , watch out; you need to order from the menu and takes forever to bring you the dish :( 3. You only have 2 hours to eat , than you are kicked out of the restaurant and nobody mentioned it before hand . 4. Over priced drinks. 5. Extremely disappointed 6. DO NOT GO THERE for “the buffet” you will be going home starving.

Sorry guys, last night (NYE) was a real mess, obliously overbooked with takeaways to the detriment of the restaurant clientele... Food was below average. Been coming here for years, myself our friends and half of penketh were disappointed last night..

It was a really good experience and the food was given on time even though there were a few rude customers behaving really mannerlessly towards the staff however I really liked the food and it was overall a good place to visit

Sat down at 1730 on NYE - all done by 1900. Food was great, as was the service. Place was rammed. Considering how busy they were I have no complaints. I think some customers were getting frustrated at waiting times but can you do! They had loads of staff on who were doing their best.

New years eve Shambles, had booking for a couple of families but no table ready on arrival, food portions small so over priced, 3.5 hours when normally in and out in 1 hour, Asian group of men promptly seated and actually changed seats 3 times, not sure if these must have been friends of the business but whilst they were given great service we struggled to get drinks, food well delayed and not arriving in sync so only Luke warm, loads complaining and walking out, we were told they were inundated with takeaways, I think they were more concerned with putting money through the tills than providing great service, not once did any of the staff say sorry or apologise for delay, even took an eternity to get bill which was messed up, will not be visiting again anytime soon.

Rude staff, terrible service waited over 3 hours and then had to even wait for the card machine to pay it was only when we went to walk out all of a sudden stuff happened

Went on a Sunday an had the buffet very good value. The food was really tasty. Had a few different starters all very nice an my main course was as well. The staff are very nice an helpful. They described the difference in heats and tastes of the mains we picked what was ace. I'm not a big curry fan but I'm looking forward to going back.

We went here for a staff meal out. 2 members of the party were coeliac ( allergic to gluten) . We can't commend them enough on their service and knowledge of allergens. The prices were really reasonable and all the food was tasty. Very friendly staff too. Would defo Reccomend.

Went on a Sunday with my family and had the buffet option which allowed my daughters to try different dishes which the staff at the Anmol were very helpful. As always the food was delicious and plentiful and looking forward to our next visit.
