Anika in Warrington

We switched to Anika as their food was good quality and tasty, but regrettably recently, on our last couple of orders, the delivery has taken 2 plus hours to arrive. To add insult to this matter, they charge £2.50 for delivery. On our last order, the delivery driver didn't even get out of the car. Very disappointed 😞

The food is amazing from here, me and my partner have rated this for years to all our family and friends.. the owners and staff and very friendly are will do anything to help, brilliant customer service.. favourite is the anika sandwich! Thank you again

Brilliant little curry house in Warrington friendly staff always welcoming, the food from here is got to be the best Iv had in the area me and my partner always order on a Friday and til this day since the company launched we have never had a reason to complain, great portion sizes and they will go the extra mile, what makes it even better they deliver highly recommended and 5*+ 100%

Ordered for delivery from Anika, normally good quality and service, tonight took nearly 2 hours to arrive, obviously all cold, all sauce and very little protein for £30, I am gutted. Please swerve for a while don't waste your money please.

Ordered a set meal for two all the meals were drowned in fat it was cold ended up putting it in the bin , don't know how this place stays open totally discusting food

Just had meal box it wasn't cold was on time and for what you get for what you pay I would highly recommend. 2 full bellies. Nice Indian weekend takeaway will be using in the future.

My delivery was an hour late and when it arrived was stone cold, the starter tasted like it was a month old the curry had 3/4 tiny pieces of chicken ( if it was chicken ) and I'm a small eater. Tasted like sugar water mixed with curry powder. The nan bread was tiny and tasted of rubber. Really gone bad and when complained have been totally ignored. Protection for refunds should be available to public

Used their own app to place an order at 7.45pm The app indicated 45 mins wait for delivery or 25 mins to collect so we opted for delivery. Received an email confirming the order with arrival time of 9pm. I phoned the restaurant at 9.35pm as the food still hadn't arrived and was told my food was ready and just waiting for a driver. My complaints about the deceiving delivery details at the point of ordering on the app fell on deaf ears and they fobbed me off with the usual "we've been busy tonight" excuse. Food finally arrived at 9.50pm, some 2 hours after ordering. Sat down to eat and the food was cold. Won't be bothering to order from here again!

The Indian was nice, too! Glad I went for the coconut 🥥 🍚 rice x I regularly use Anika and find them to be friendly and affable, great service, impromptu orders always accommodated and food excellent - to my personal taste specification. Lots of meat n fresh ingredients

We’ve enjoyed takeaway from here SO many times and have never been disappointed. The special Chicken tikka sandwiches on naan bread are always a winner in our house and tried several curries too always tasty with plenty of meat or prawns. The peshwari naan is my favourite it’s super tasty and just like everything else always red hot and fresh. Genuinely lovely customer service too if you collect. Will continue to enjoy our treats from here and thoroughly recommend.

First time order from this takeaway and it won't be the last. Curry's were full of flavour and loads of chicken, we had Dupiaza and Bhuna, both were very tasty. Mushroom rice is delicious but the Keema rice is the best I have ever tasted, just perfect. Onion Bhaji was authentic and delicious and the perfect starter. To accompany the meal we had Keema naan which were very moist and tasty, perhaps just a little more meat in them to make them better. All that for under £30 and if you download their app you get 10% off every time. Delivery was quoted as 45 mins, delivered in 30. All in all, very happy with our Friday night curry, best in Warrington?? Maybe!!

The best rogan josh in town. So friendly service and always tailor made. Use often ordering from home for pick up and delivery. Good value for money and tasty samosas

Just finished our quorn Samber and king prawn madras with mushroom rice and extras. Absolutely delightful. First takeaway of the year and highly impressed. Will be using again.

Like others we have used Anika for years but not used since last year as was so awful. We ordered again just in case they were having an off day the last time we ordered but no just the same. Most of it went in the bin as was totally inedible. The annoying thing is I get weekly texts off them telling me there is 10% discount which is so annoying as I have absolutely no intention of ordering from them ever again. I have tried to find a way to stop these texts but to no avail.

Ordered a chicken razela which was quite expensive. It turned up 1 hour and half late! When it finally arrived it was basically just sauce with hardly any chicken in. I would not recommend this takeaway, I definitely will not be using again!!

Total vomit. We have used this takeaway for 2 years and this meal is the worst takeaway I have ever had the misfortune of tasting. The meat is dry, the rice was hard and after an hour delay it was cold!!!! They would only refund £3 back which was an insult. STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS DUMP and go elsewhere. We reordered from eastern revive and this is our new takeaway.

Before I start, I'd just like to say Anika over the last five years has been one of the best Indian take aways we've ever used, I can't believe how bad it has gone downhill ,we got the set menu two for £23.95 with chicken madras, it arrived on time as usual and that was as good as it got, we emptied our main meals onto the plate and it was like pouring orange water over the rice with 6 pieces of diced chicken that looked like it had been thrown in as they sealed the carton. There was no taste to any of the food and our meal was floating in a pool of water, the only plus was the naan and popadoms were edible.I can only presume that it's got new owners and they are cutting corners to save money, It's a shame because all of our family use Anika and I won't be recommending them anymore..

ordered a meal tonight price has gone up yet again the anika special sandwich was large but full of doner rather than a mixchicken tikka massala hardly any chickenkeema naan a poor amount of meat in the breadno free bhajis for collection ordersbeen here almost exclusively for a few years but not next time will try paprika round the corner or somewhere else look after the customers or lose us clowns

Well I cannot comment on the food from Anika because I ordered my meal at 7.15 pm. I was advised a 60 min wait that’s fine I thought. At 8.45pm I phoned the take away to get an ETA I either got an engaged tone or the phone rang out and I left it ringing for 5 and 6 minutes. Definitely not answering. By 9.15 I was debating whether to wait or order from another restaurant. As we were very hungry I ordered from Spicy Ginger and was told Twenty mins. Got food in 15 mins. I still haven’t had any food or a call from Anika so will not be ordering from them again. Zero star rating

We had a leaflet to the door and was so happy to see a quorn option. I’ve only recently become a vegetarian and didn’t think this would ever be an option. I ordered the Karahi with quorn and husband had buttered chicken- he said it was the best he’d ever had. The quorn karahi was delicious. Really hope they do a quorn masala soon. Thanks so much, will definitely be ordering again.

We usually order from the cottage, with the cottage being closed we thought we would try Anika. we ordered from Anika 01st July spent £27 for what I can only describe as the worst Indian food we have ever had. Couldn’t believe the state of the food we received. Wish we did take photos so we could show everyone on here.most of what we ordered went into the bin. My advice don’t order from Anika and waste your money.

We ordered takeaway meals between 3 of us. They arrived promptly.The poppadum were inedible.The biryani was overcooked and dry.Curry dish was not as described. It was as if a mix of different curries had been thrown together.Tandoori chicken was not tasty at all.To top it all, the meals came in plastic containers. Not planet friendly.We will not order from this takeaway again!

Visited for Anika sandwich. We only ever use Anika for wraps and they have always been lovely however the last 2 times (4-6 weeks apart) they have been awful and tonight really helped me decide not to return as the meat was very dry and spicy (but dry and pasty) unfortunately we will have to find somewhere new !!!

This is our go to local Indian without having to travel to far. The food is always consistent in quality & taste. We’ve never had a bad meal from here. Staff are always friendly & service is warm & welcoming. Onion bhajis need some improvement but other than that no complaints.

always ordered from anika, first few tones I’ve ordered it’s been really nice I don’t know what’s happened in the last 12 months but it’s COMPLETELY gone downhill. My partner and I only ever order Indian every couple of months but we would order from anika every time, always the same thing, lamb bhuna spicy chips chicken tikka masala, pilau rice and a naan bread. The last 2 times we odrdered they forgot to bring the naan bread, so we would ring them up to get a blanc response of “ok we will bring you one next time” whilst being rudely interrupted. But because we’ve always gone there we decided to order one more time (hopefully they would bring the naan bread)...haha yeah like hell they did. Not only that but the food was VILE. The bhuna came with what I can compare to half a bottle of Johnston’s baby oil smeared over the top of it, the lamb chewier than a pack of f*%*# airwaves. Chips soggy as anything, the chicken in the tikka could have been used as door stoppers. And then when I decide to ring up, they’ve put the RUDEST man on the phone. Told me that they “never get complaints” and that because we are “5 miles away we should be thankful we deliver that far”.....I’ve actually googled this and we are 2.5 miles away hahaha. He also said that it’s a “big effort for the delivery driver to travel”... which I replied “sorry it’s such a big effort for you to deliver to us but I thought that as we order from just eat that’s within your deliver range”. I decided to ask to speak to his manager because I was getting nowhere with him. Then this rude man then decides to start shouting over me and would not let me speak...he then says “ok we will refund you thanks bye” then HANGS UP ON ME!!! I was not ringing up to argue I thought that the food is usually really nice and I wanted to let him know that it was awful...I never actually wanted a refund but after how rude and nasty this man was and the fact he f*%#ing hung up on me I’m getting my refund. Will NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN. you don’t just pay for food you’d think that if you work at a reasturant that you would have some customer service skills!! Not one f#%k given by this man. And it shows in the food that no one else there gives a f#%k....other then the delivery drivers who travel for days on there pilgrimage of 2.5 MILES!!!!

My favourite place to eat by far since they never disappoint! Quality service with even better food. Highly recommend!! Appreciate the fancy Christmas card too

I have been to many Indian takeaways not one like this absolutely brilliant the starters and mains was really tasty and fresh. My friend had the Anika special sandwich and he enjoyed it. Will definitely be visiting this place again.

Ordered food 7.30 knew it would be a long wait. 1 hour 40 they said £85 order of food. No food came after 2 hours. Luckily I’d not had a drink yet gets to the shop guy rings the driver he’s nearly there, paid in store!! Get back to house food missing. Absolute shambles of a company no one answer the phones. Clearly wasn’t that busy they were all stood around. First and last time we will ever order.

Well we have lived here for a year and had the menu through the door so we thought we would try Anika food. It has got to be one of the worst we have had in years. It seemed the sauce for the curry was from a jar. Not good at all. Avoid.

was not the best about this place. The cautious eater has been here many times. All the usual suspect. My favourite is the lamb balti exocita which I find hard to resist. It's been open a few years now and the order is always fulfilled. Unlike the now closed place around the corner who got something wrong EVERY time. The trouble is - it's too near the house!

Poor service even though I was the only person in there. The food was atrocious and appeared to be prepared from pre-cooked meat kept in plastic containers with cling film over the top.

I went out to go the British Raj around the corner and found out it had shut after 23 years! so I gave this a go as a lot of people said it was fantastic,

really enjoyed never go any where else

i ordered a jalfrezi which when arrived seemed to be a rogan josh with a few chillies thrown in at the end, it was very mild in flavour/ spice. as the food was 15 mins late the temperature was only warm and the nan breads were soggy as the seem to have been in the wrapping too long overall very disappointed.

Delicious food, I found the mild or medium curries & specials very tasty. Was advised by a friend that the hot curries are Very Hot! so didn't try them, but really enjoyed the chicken chat & special curries (we've ordered a few times on different accounts).

Really good food, generous portions and all really hot- will def be going here again!

Food was cold didn't help the delivery guy was sat outside on his phone for 5 minutes. Asked for chicken rogan josh got a chicken tikka rogan josh. Very disappointed not good at all waste of nearly £20.

I've never had good experiences with takeout curry, but I can honestly say this was the best I've ever had. Could not fault it. I'll definitely be ordering again!

In total it took 1 hr 45 mins to deliver following more order. The food was poor also. I will not be ordering from them again.

The food is ok and there is a wide range of food. There is too much cardamom in the onion bhajis for my liking and the naan's have a strange taste to them. The mains were very good but just shy of 2 hours for delivery is not acceptable by any standards.

Recently moved to the area and was very wary of ordering as wasn't sure whether they would live up to our favourite takeaways from where we've moved from! After I bit of a delay, restaurant added 30mins delay as soon as we'd ordered and then was 15mins later than that! The food was hot and tasted amazing. Will be ordering from here again!

We had chicken tikka massala and chicken passanda, both very nice. Super fast delivery time! Would recommend. Would prefer if rice came with price of curries as I almost overlooked this.

First time ordering after a recommendation from a friend, initially told that it'd take about 50 mins for delivery, but the food showed up within 30 mins. The quality of the food was fantastic, really tasty and will be ordering from here again.

Great food as usuall. Only issue is that we can't order on just eat for delivery due to the post code for WA3 being incorrect on this website.

They added 30 minutes to the order time and then delivered 30 minutes early . Bhuna was really greasy . But rest of meal was lovely .

It doesn't look the best takeaway but once inside you can watch the chefs cook the food. They use fresh ingredients and it is the best Indian takeaway in the area.

The first time we ordered from here it took ages for the food to come! An hour and a half! But it did eventually turn up it was still really hot and they was very apologetic, on the phone and at the door. The food was absolutely gorgeous though and couldn't fault it so good that we tried them again 2 weeks later this time it was with us within an hour and it was even better!! the food from here is just as good as Indian restaurants in Warrington and i would recommend the sag chicken tikka dish!!

Food arrived 30 minutes earlier than expect, hence the five stars for delivery time and restaurant service. The butter chicken is my daughter's favourite meal and we have had it from a number of different restaurants. Unfortunately the one we received had that much ghee/butter floating around it was inedible. The rest of the order was a bit bland but edible.

The food was delivered by a very friendly and polite driver who explained that sometimes their orders are delivered late because of busy times, the food itself was delicious, well worth the money and I will definitely be ordering from here again.
