Angie's Breakfast & Burger Shack in Tendring

Meat was absolutely atrocious as were the Chips which were full of grease and one could tell they were cooked from frozen. For a so called "steak house" if a restaurant can not get its chips right, the rest is doomed. They should take notes from a small local chippy in Great Clacton called "Skinners" who have Londoners drive all the way for their freshly well done fried chips. As for BlackRock, Food is well plated & garnished I will grant them that, stake was cooked to spefication " medium" but tasted bitter and one can tell the grill was not thouroughly cleaned, leaving the steak bitter & flavourless. I would kindly urge the business to stick to the basics as for the steaks they produce do match the prices they charge. Your getting charged 5 star michellin prices for a low quality cut of steak cooked poorly , cooked frozen chips well decorated on the plate. Local pubs do a better steak for a fraction of the price. Did not even order dessert as I was afraid to be brought a frozen store bought dessert well plated and charged exhorbitant for it. Its all a facade. Stopped at burger king on the way home. The stakehouse would likely impress locals who have never had a real steakhouse dinning experience. Will never return & would never recommend.

Garlic and cheese had no garlic taste at all. The doner was OK. Got over charged but when I asked for receipt I got the £1 back. Busy place seems well organised, There were other customers had issues with things missing from there order.
